- Might
- Consists of everything to do with the physical body, including strength, constitution, fortitude, dexterity, flexibility, etc.
- Is used in calculating your HP, your defense score, and your attack score. It also influences your AP gain
Mind - If it requires thinking, it's covered by the mind score. Not just intelligence, but wisdom and cunning as well. Knowing where to hit can be just as useful as being able to hit really hard.
- Feats can allow you to use this score for your defense score and attack score. It influences your AP gain, and gives you bonus SP if it's high. Finally, it determines what your max skill rank is.
Magic - Everything that has anything to do with magic is found here. Determines not only how potent your spells and magic attacks are, but also how hard they are to evade.
- Some classes make use of it for class abilities. Some feats allow you to use it for certain actions.
In addition to these 3 ability scores, Characters have the following stats.
- Attack
- Your attack score is used when your attacking an opponent, and want to deal some damage to them. calculated by multiplying Might by the attack value of any weapons your wielding.
- In combat, you don't roll to determine whether or not you hit your opponent, instead that's a given. Your attack score determines whether or not you deal any damage to them. Your attack score reduced by your targets Defense Score.
- Certain class features, feats, and actions can increase your attack score, or reduce them.
Defense - As above, reduces the damage you take by subtracting from an opponent's attack score. determined by multiplying might by the DV of any armor you have.
- Your defense score can be used by certain class features to perform abilities.
- As with your Attack score, this number can be increased or decreased by certain abilities, leaving your more vulnerable to attacks, or reducing the damage you take from them.
Mobility - Not just a measure of how far you can move in a single combat round, this also determines whether or not your able to evade an area of effect attack, as well as being used when performing feats of athletic or acrobatic ability.
- Equation: (10 * might) - total Weight
- The number of spaces you can travel in a move action is equal to your mobility divided by 5.
Resistance - Magic can be absolutely devastating if your not prepared for it. Resistance is to magical attacks what your defense score is for physical attacks
- Equation: (Might + Magic) * 10
- As with the other stats, various feats, abilities, and items can increase your resistance.
Awareness - Used not only to percieve hidden enemies and objects, to track such things, or to otherwise prepare for battle: Awareness is used to keep track of your opponents and identify their combat strengths and weaknesses.
- Equation: Mind * 10
- Once again, various feats and abilities can increase or decrease this stat.
This here's a list of stats and how they function.
