Michael and the others waited a full twenty minutes for some no show Vampire to arrive. There had been nothing to do there but sit in a chair and wait silently. He didn't speak to anyone, and didn't let his eyes wander too much. Finally, Vincent made an uneasy face toward the empty seat and stood up.
"My apologies, but it seems that our last member wasn't able to make it. Perhaps he he's hunting... Or being hunted." Vincent announce with a smile. The Vampires' low chuckles filled the room of the basement. "Now the meeting shall commence. I would love to see the eyes of my lovely brothers and sisters please. We are all here to discuss the matters at hand, whether it regards the humans, or the supernatural as a whole."
"About that. I ran into too many things in your lovely town to make me find this place as a suitable place for my small coven to live. I wouldn't be surprised if the one missing is a pile of ash right now." Michael said a bit coldly as he told the truth. Vincent just kept his smile in place.
"I'll assure you, San Diego is safe for our kind. You see, we are strong in numbers, and that's what counts in a battle." Vincent said. The vampires at the table turned to Michael to see if he was going to argue with their leader, and by looks of it, he was. Michael had a smirk on his face.
"I'm afraid that you're not only wrong, but foolish to think of such a thing. What if I said I could kill you all." All of the Vampires gasped at what he said. About half of the members were taking grip of any weapon they could grab and holding it up toward him, but this intimidation didn't phase him in the least. "A senseless gang with sticks, can never over power a skillful warrior with a blade." Michael remarked.
"So the strongest weapon is the answer then. Well, we have plenty of guns. I'll assure you that much, just look around you."
"No, that's not it. It's the wielder of the weapon that makes the difference in a battle." Michael said as he held up his two pistols with confidence.
"Ha, I'm not sure about that. You are only the wielder of two pistols, and you're surrounded by my men. You're cocky, and that's what makes you foolish and weak." Vincent said with spite. Michael kept his aim.
"You see, I'm not the one who's weak. You are. You let our prey drive you're kind into a basement in an abandoned warehouse that you need a silly password for. What do you do down here? Discuss your failed attempts of rising above the ones you call your food. And as far as weapons go, who said that mine were the ones in my hands. Look around you, at your subordinates. They can see right through you're need to have people follow you into nothingness." Michael placed his fingers on the triggers, and Vampires that had been raising they're weapons, now looked away as they lowered them.
"No! No! No!!! How dare you-" Vincent was interrupted by bullet to the face. He had tried to dodge the first bullet, but ran into the second one where Michael predicted he would move. Michael stood up and walked toward the Vampire's body, and with the remaining bullets in the clips of his two pistols, he shot Vincents body so there was no way for him to recover. Michael turned to the others with a look of a joyful child.
"My word is my weapon, and I promise, we'll be more than just a myth that stalks the night. We'll be a force to be reckoned with. We'll meet in front of this warehouse tomorrow night, just use your time to relax till then. This meeting is finished. Michael said before the Vampire began leaving the basement. The others stayed in the warehouse, trying discuss what happened after Michael walked through the same door he had entered. Upon his exit, He saw a familiar face, and smiled, because who it was. Her again and she has a friend... that is as close to human as the girl who was behind her at the gas station
"I don't think that it's a girl's place to be down a dark alley on the far end of town. Or perhaps, you and this man have something going on. Don't tell me that you're messing with other guys, especially when I thought we had such a healthy relationship." Michael joked, not knowing the man in front of her was a Trickster.
