He sat up in his seat at the bar. "Well, my old friend, it appears we have been discovered. There are others here in this town like us. One is very much like us." he laughed to himself "What do you think of that, Nevermore?" he inquired to his Raven who responded by spanning its wings and releasing a haunting caw. "I believe you are correct. Let us make our introductions. It would be terribly impolite not to identify ourselves." as he stood to leave fixed his ponytail and draped it over his right shoulder as Nevermore perched on his left. He made his way out of the bar and down the dusty street once again.

TOji nodded."Right. Be careful, anyway." They stop outside a cave. Inhaling, the young halfling winces."Cha, nothing smells worse than Corrupted Holiness." SNiffing again, his eyes widen."Looks like that other death spirit is approachin. Maybe we should wait till that's settled. I don't feel like having my back exposed to an unknown."

He turned off the old road and began to tread on the dry earth of the heated terrain. The Raven on his shoulder released another thunderous and chilling caw. The sound hung in the empty air and sounded as if it echoed, even though there was nothing around. "Yes, Nevermore, I believe we are nearly there. I can feel multiple souls in the distance." he spoke calmly and dignified, the manner of his body language reflected and matched the wat he spoke perfectly. He fixed his ponytail and the collar of his white suit along with his tie. "It is quite rude not to look your best upon a first meeting. Do you not agree, my old friend?'' he inquired to Nevermore who responded with a second caw. He continued to walk towards his unknown location, he knew he was going the right direction because he felt the souls getting closer. His eyes illuminated bright blue. This allowed him to use his full vision to see greater distances. Normally he only used a fraction of his vision unless he felt threatened. In the distance he saw two people standing at the mouth of a cave. A smile formed on his face. "It appears they are waiting for us, Nevermore. We should not keep them waiting any longer." he remarked to the Raven perched on his shoulder. Without making a sound, the Raven flew off ahead of him until he landed in front of the two individuals. He stopped walking and spread his four large ink black wings from his back and took off into the air. He headed towards his feathered companion. He nose dived down and landed in front of the two at the mouth of the cave. He landed with one knee to the ground and the opposite hand braced against the earth for support, a small crater was created as a result of the sudden force striking the solid dirt. He stood up straight and fixed his vest, brushing the dust off of his suit until it was once again pure white. He then faced them as his Raven returned to his shoulder. He smiled once again "Good day, gentlemen." he greeted them.

Nodding his agreement, the gesture was more a reflexive action more considering his veiled state; Perhaps the gesture was lost in that moment. A slight laugh escaped his pale lips at Toji's reaction to the befouled soul within the caves. " Indeed, I can smell the corruption. It must be purged.." Dropping his masking, his form began to substantiate, his gaze shifting towards the oncoming kindred of his. Quirking a brow Xeno decided that he would wait, but found his mind wandering. What could this mean? And what were the chances of more than one of his kind being in the same area, at the same time?

It was a black speck in the distance, yet even from far away he could make out the details of the Raven flying towards them, looking over to Toji he spoke; " They should be along shortly..." He said in his somber tone, apathy etched into his angular features. Crossing his arms lightly across his chest, just as the Raven landed before Toji and himself, a slight grin tugged at the corner of his lips.

The arrival of the birds master was quite the spectacle, and no long in the waiting, the dust and wind buffeting his crimson locks, a few stray tresses falling before his crimson eyes. Unfolding his arms his greeting was certainly formal, and polite as etiquette dictated. " Well met, and greetings to you Kindred of mine. " He bowed at the waist, straightening to place his armor encased fist over his heart in the manner of greeting of one equal to another.

Toji touched the brim of his hat, nodding."Howdy."Tilting his head, the young halfling takes in the Reapers scent.'Hmm.....similar to the scent of a Shinigami....but also slightly different...with a tinge of feathers.....' Deciding that it would be polite to be a tad bit more formal, he bows, in the manner of someone of equal rank, which he was at least, being the next one in line for the Okami cheiftainship."I am Toji Okami, of the Okami demon clan, decendant of the first Okami, son Of Raiden Okami, weilder of the Okami Ninjato, Wanderer First Rank."

He returned the deep bow to obey tradition. "My name is Mason Rosecross. Son of the Grim Reaper, Death. This is my Raven, Nevermore." he gestured to the bird "Truly a pleasure to meet you. My people would have quite a difficult time if your family did not escort the souls of the dead to judgment." he turned his attention to the mouth of the cave "I sense a corrupt soul dwells within. Are you in pursuit of him?" he inquired to those present.

Straightening, his glance shifted over to Toji a brow quirked slightly. Apparently there was more to him than first glance, this would merit closer observation, a demon chief was the equivalent of a noble family in his world as the rankings went. Of course all Shinigami, or Reapers had a high standing in his world, considering the importance of their work. "

Following suit after Toji, he also introduced himself; " I am Xenophon, Shinigami assigned to this realm. " Inclining his head to the raven in due course, " Hello Nevermore.." He said in turn. Indeed he left out some of the details, not one to ride the coat tails of a title. It wasn't unusual that Mason knew of his family and their function, but not many would be able to tell on a mere glance the Heraldry of his family. Polite, and apparently attentive to details, Xenophon was indeed impressed.

Following Mason's gaze back to the cave entrance, a slight grimace played across his features, remembering why the had come here, and what they meant to do. " Indeed...but I am limited in my sanctioned actions in the realm, I can interfere little with the course of things that are outside the premise of my initial reason for being here, unless the balance is disturbed....otherwise I am here to observe." Not that he was entirely content to allow the corruption go on, but certainly he would follow his Edicts closely, or suffer the consequences of such impetuous actions.

TOji shrugged."We do our best to clean out Corruption, even though we are demons. Gotta protect our cousins the humans, after all." Asked if he was ridding this world of this particalur soul, the young halfing nodded."First, I have to ask him to come quietly. He'll probally resist, though, and I'll be able to set his soul free." Turning around, he walks into the cave."By way, be careful. THis particular one is a Corrupted Priest.I also ask you not interfere unless I need you." Coming to a set of primitive stairs, he journeys down, grunting as things become unnaturely hot."Of course...Fuego...funny..." He comes into a large room, where a thin man in tattered preists robes was sitting."Ah, Father Fuego. I am TOji OKami, lawful Wanderer, and I charge thee with these crimes:Murder, Extortion, Traffic with beings of Darkness, Rape, and Attempted Murder. Will you come quietly." A look of vast rage on his face, the preist stands up, horns jutting out of his forehead."NEVER!" TOji nods, pulling out his revolvers."So be it."

(I'll be gone for a couple of weeks, due to CHristmas Break. Sorry, guys.)

He stood aside as instructed. He didn't mind observing, it allowed him an opportunity to gain information about the individuals he had acquainted himself with. He was only visible due to the contrast of the blackness of the caves shadows against his white suit and blonde hair. Nevermore sat perched upon his shoulder making no sound, the birds head cocked to one side as if curious about the events playing out. Whips of shadow swirled around his hands just in case he was requested to intervene. He leaned against the cave wall and never lost sight of the corrupt Priest.

Nodding his agreement, he had little intention of involving himself directly within this conflict. Only under certain circumstances would he we allowed to intervene with this world and is mortal patrons, it was the realm of death that he held dominion, and that left the living to their own devices.

" After you..." He said, following Toji and Mason, once more his focused upon the flow of spiritual energy within his form, dimming his aura to the point he became but a blotch of darkness along the cavern walls, a mere shadow among shadows. Keeping is steps well placed, his crimson orbs parted the veil of darkness easily, seeing despite the lack of illumination but from a sparse collection of lamps.

Distantly he was aware of the increase in temperature, as well as the decent further into the bowels of the wasteland, descending quietly with hardly a whisper. Immediately he noted Toji speaking, drawing to a halt he glimpsed at the Priest, crimson orbs settling intently upon him. He could feel the taint of his soul, staining the stale air, a momentary look of disdain upon his face before apathy took over it's visage yet again.
