The Beginning... (Hey!)

Hey people of RolePlayGateway. :3

Just to say quickly before I start - I am terrible at introductions so bear with me. I guess I should start with the obvious. I am Soulheart, and I have joined here, because I like RP. I have been RPing mostly on video games, so most of this is a new experience for me! My main two reasons for coming here are - to improve my RP and writing skills (I don't think I am the best RPer in the world and would like to improve) and to have an awesome time while doing so! So, using your guide to what to say in the introduction:

What's your username? Why'd you pick that username?
To be honest with you I don't really know. I just thought of random words that might be appropriate but is different from what my soon-to-be characters will be called. The words 'soul' and 'heart' just suited each other for me.

How'd you find this place? Google? Why'd you look it up on Google or whatever?
Yes, I found this place through the power of Google and the Internet! I just wanted to find a roleplay site and this is the one that I liked the most and attracted my eyes to. I can't put my finger on why this one, but I think I am going to have a blast here. :3

How long have you roleplayed on forums or chat? On what sites? Did you start with tabletop games or such?
Now comes the confession - I have not played tabletop RPGs. I know some roleplayers will immediately stop and start going "How can you call yourself a roleplayer if you haven't played D&D! What is this blasphemy?". Well I have found that knowledge of these games have not been needed on websites like this. I have roleplayed for about 2 and a half years, and as said above, mostly on video games.

In coming to RPG, what've you been looking for specifically? A new home for roleplay? Better roleplay?

No, the reason for coming is just to have a new home for RP.

What kinds of roleplay are you interested in? Fantasy? Sci-fi? Go in-depth about it if you want.
Mostly I will do fantasy, some sci-fi and will do other genres if I am really interested in it. (I am a huge fan of epic fantasy...hint, hint.)

You've never done tabletop? Blasphemy! How can you call yourself a roleplayer?!

Nah I'm joking. First off let me say Merry Christmas on this day.

Secondly, I've never done tabletop either. You're a roleplayer, whatever your medium. You're a storyteller, period.

You most certainly will have a blast on here. Epic fantasy eh? I have a grand epic high fantasy in the works at the moment, and will be unveiling it on this site. However, it's under wraps at the moment. Hopefully we'll get the chance to roleplay together.

I do other stuff, sci-fi, sword and planet fantasy, modern-post apocalyptic, western steampunk, as long as it's got a captivating story with action and character development, call upon me.
