A Royal expedition to find a lost artifact turns into a winding adventure of action, sorcery, deception and romance, as those on-board fight for their own goals. Will the Princess be able to restore the peace, or will the Mongrels have the last laugh?

What kind of tech level are we looking at here, I mean obviously swords and sorcery but any black powder weapons? I'm definitely interested just trying to get more of feel before I pick a character

When it comes to black powder weapons, there are such things as flintlocks and muskets. The process of gunsmithing is still in a fledgling state, with little automation in the process. Parts are smithed by hand, so these are not necessarily perfectly made. In terms of general technology, there are no automobiles. Normal transport such as carriages are horse-drawn (or by other creatures), and general quality of life is fairly poor (due in part to the actions of the Royal Family and their predecessors - something which, wink wink, the Princess is oblivious to), with many families struggling to make ends meet. The RAS Dawnbreaker is comparable to an 18th Century 'ship-of-the-line', and is one of the largest ships in the Arish naval fleet.
Layout of the ship (Top to Bottom):
Main Deck (Cabin towards the stern, with Captain's Quarters. Poop cabin above Captain's Quarters. Helm on Poop Deck.)
Upper Gun Deck (Kitchen in center towards stern, common areas in center towards the bow. Stern cannons operated on this deck).
Passenger Deck (With Crew Cabins. Ship's Physician's office located towards stern. Bow cannons operated on this deck.)
Lower Gun Deck (Large functional room towards the stern, used as a combat training room when not otherwise needed.)
Working Deck (Armory - has an enchanted forge which prevents fire spreading in the vicinity of the forge, Workshop with basic tools and materials.)
Hold (Food, provisions, raw materials - things that may be handy in the event of leaks, damage, etc.)

Sorry I don't have a sheet up yet! Been a very hectic work week, and my bird of 19 years just passed away
Will get to working on it and hopefully have a character up within the next 2-4 days maximum, depending on my work schedule and such. (had a friggen 14 hour overnight shift this past Sunday. >.< )
