We can either do the funeral or go ahead and jump. Up to everyone else, doesn't matter to me, the funeral can easily be covered in a flash back.

What is everyone's thoughts on my proposed back story? There are some things I'm going to change, like dates and stuff. If anyone wants me to add anything particular I can.

Well, I'd be happy to cover the funeral in a flashback and jump ahead tonight, even.

Well I'm ready, I know Fujii (Karaudu) is ready. He keeps bugging me about it when we're going to jump. If you want to go ahead and do the jump I'll follow suit. I'm editing my backstory now (fixing the typo's and such).

Ah! Quick note, just to keep anyone for getting confused for awhile, I think we should have the posts topic start out with "3 Years Later..." before whatever you want the title of the topic to be. We should probably do this for a few weeks to a month or so. In case we get anyone new.

I would say a week at tops. That would get extraordinarily tedious, methinks.

Yeah I guess your right. Anyway I'll be posted the backstory in the In Character forum as a "READ FIRST" type of post so that anyone who might be new will probably see it. Then I guess I'll be making my 3 year jump post cause I'm bored.

Also I still need to find out what your ideas on the new massproduction suits are.

Here are my ideas and prices...

First there's the Gun Marine. This is a mass production unit based on the Gundam Cygnus design. I think I posted one of the early designs of this up already. This one just changes the machine gun to a beam gun.

Image

Breakdown -

Designation: ERDMS-GM-01
Codename: Gun-Marine
Unit type: Multi-Purpose Mobile Suit
Head height: 17.78 meters
Base weight: 7.0 Metric tons
Generator output: 3000 KW Lithium Ion Cell
Thrusters: 2x Vernier Thrusters on backpack
Armor: Luna Ceramic Alloy
Armament: 2x Vulcans, fire linked mounted in head; 1x Beam Saber, hand carried in use, stored on recharge rack on backpack; Beam Gun, hand carried in use, stored on side skirt armor; basic shield, hand carried in use.

Breakdown:
Dual Vulcan Gun: 50,000
2x Vernier Thruster: 400,000
Neo-Titanium Alloy: 250000
Standard Cockpit: 50,000
Base Suit: 500,000
3000KW Lithium Ion Cell: 262500
1x Beam Saber: 25,000
Beam Gun: 75,000
Basic Shield: 75,000
Total – 1,68750

-

A bit over a million but enough to make it affordable and better than a Leo or Taurus.

Next we have the Gun-Ace, which is basicly the original Cygnus design I had in mind. The Gun-Ace is about a million more, but that's because it's made more for Ace Pilots. Of course if we go with this one I'll have to remove the markings on the shoulders.

Designation: ERDMS-GM-02
Codename: Gun-Ace
Unit Type: Attack Use Mobile Suit
Head Height: 18.25 meters
Base Weight: 7.7 Metric Tons
Generator output: 3000KW Lithium Ion Cell
Thrusters: 4x vernier thrusters on backpack, 1x thruster mounted in each foot.
Armor: Neo Titanium Alloy
Aramament: 2x Vulcans, fire linked mounted in head; 1x Beam saber, hand carried in use, stored on recharge rack on backpack; Beam Rifle, hand carried in use, stored on side skirt armor; basic shield, hand carried in use.

Standard Cockpit: 50,000
Base Suit: 500,000
Neo-Titanium Alloy: 250,000
3000KW Lithium Ion Cell: 262,500
6x Vernier Thruster: 1,200,000
2x Vulcans: 50,000
1x Beam Saber: 25,000
1x Beam Rifle: 150,000
1x Basic Shield: 75,000

Total - 2562500

Finally the mass-production, near Gundam. Since I'm using the Windam from Gundam Seed Destiny, I thought I'd use the same name...so this is the Windam.

Image

Designation: ERDMS-GM-03

Base Weight: 8.2 metrict tons
Generator output: 3000KW Lithium Ion cell

As usual my friend, beautiful suits. And yeah, I'm ready to move out whenever you are, you may have seen that I started the Blace Lowe invasion of Asia and the Jyotika retreat from Sanc.

And I agree, anything past a week would be pushing it a bit too far. If new people join up the can throw themselves into the mix, much like I did when I joined, though honestly, I didn't expect my part to be thrown into a main character. Still amazed at that.

As usual, my knowledge of suit mechanics is limited. So of everything but the weapons, if you say it works and is better than a Leo or Taurus, I'm good on that.

My only thought is perhaps a couple models without weapons, to allow for personal customization, so that the snipers among us aren't stuck with Beam Guns?

Well if we take out the weapons other than say very basic armament such as vulcans and perhaps one saber, they'd be cheaper. Which works better.

So what if the loadout for a basic purchase was just what came on the suit not the optional hand armaments like guns/rifles?

Nobody is losing their old mobile suits. These are just new options for those who have yet to buy one. (Personally I pilot the Sagitarrius so i'm fine)

Yes you can still pilot the Aeries and if the three suits I've designed are officially made the new mass production units (I'm in the process of refining them a bit more) then the old suits will still remain options, though I think a few of them will most likely be much cheaper.

Thanks for the compliment.

Anyway some more little notes. Along with new mobile suits, I'm in the process of making new weapons. Zhelir's comment made me think back to one of my favorite mass production lines from the UC Gundam universe, and that's the GM Sniper, whether it be I, II, or III (III is fairly new appearing in the Titans Test Team manga). So I've decided to make a high-output beam rifle for sniping, along with a few other weapons. Post more when I have the actually mechanics for each new system for the weapons down. For example, only the Gun-Ace will be able to be used as a Sniper unit, because the visor above it's main camera can fold down and work as a more accurate scope.
