Please request any locations here, whether within the Liminal Academy, or in either of the cities it's located in. If it's your character's space (room, workshop, classroom) a short description would be appreciated. If it's just something you'd like to have in the game, you're welcome to leave the description to me.

Tristan's private room :

A dim, stone-carved, circular room that is surrounded by six pillars. At the base of each one, they have distinct features.

The first one is the entrance and exit via teleportation, or by opening a door far in the outskirts of Shadowtown, below a massive pile of rubble. The latter method requires heavy excavation and a key to unlock a door warded against almost all kinds of conceivable damage.

At the base of the other five pillars, there are glass cases that contain five different corpses : One an older man, dressed in old-fashioned robes. Two others are two young men, about Tristan's age. Another belongs to a very young man, no older than sixteen years of age. The final one belongs to a young girl, no older than fifteen. They all wear white, and all wear crystalline rings around their right hand's middle finger. The young girl, from the look of it, appears to be Tristan's younger sister.

Tristan's Home :

In the lecture hall, a small switch flips open a panel to reveal a mattress. He sleeps on this.

Ahh. I was wondering if it was something like that...

Do you want this to be in Shadowtown, since that's where the door is, even if he doesn't use it? (Places are actually contained within places... it's pretty neat!)

It's in Shadowtown, but at the very edge of it, preferably where it's unreachable to most people (save for powerful mages)

Jan Zhao's Gym

One of the Academy's more spacious rooms it is a square affair of solid stone marked by two large reinforced wood doors at either end with the south door leading to the hallway and the North one leading to a courtyard garden.

Along the walls are lined weapon's racks and lockers holding the practice armour first term students are required to wear. Enchanted light spheres hang in the vaulted ceiling bathing the whole room in a clear white light. Several white squares are painted in a geometric line down the center of the room with tatami mats arranged around them.

Gym's Courtyard

Accessed from the Gym this inner Courtyard features a central garden consisting of a small fountain and a outline hedge and various flowers. The Southern half of the courtyard is devoted to the archery range with distances picked out in five feet increments. The Northern half is devoted to the straw dummies of melee combat.

Jan's House

A simple two story house in a relatively nice part of Shadowtown's merchant district the Academy is visible from it's roof. Though humble in appearance it is much more then it seems.

Katherine's Summoning Class

One of the Academy's largest expanses, the summoning room is a massive cavern built into the very foundations of the earth. Though once rough and untouched, years of summons gone awry have led to the cavern being smoothed out to an egg-like cavity. It doubles as a good area to evacuate to, should anything happen to the Academy.

Besides the occasional stalagmite and the small puddle of water, the cavern itself is sparse and void of light. People who use this room will have to bring their own wards and materials for summoning and illumination, as it is otherwise pitch-black without light.

Katherine's Contineomancy Class

Half the size of the Summoning Class's room in square footage, the Contineomancy room is a tall, rectangular chamber built of stone...though it is rumored to be the remnants of a massive monster's esophagus. Chains and torches hang around the walls like a spider's weave left untouched for far too long, the reason only Contineomancers and the Headmaster would know. Not that it isn't too hard to figure out from the class description...

Katherine's Home

Reached by teleportation, Katherine's home resides in the far South, a sprawling estate in the midst of a massive briar forest. Often cloudy and bleak, it makes for a rather intimidating home to live in, but there she lives. She really own only one room in the mansion, the hot springs and waterfalls she shares with the other tenants. The room itself, unlike its extravagant neighbors, is simple in appearance. A small bed sits by the window, a foot locker directly under the window, and a wardrobe opposite to the bed. A rune sits where the lamp would usually be, which summons a small will-o-the-wisp to light the way around.

John's room:
A neat and tidy room, there is plenty of open space, and a clean office desk in the corner of the room. A small cot is on the side, and a punching bag serves as the centerpiece on the far wall. The walls are painted a deep blue, and several drawings of people and places are tacked up, red lines connecting them. Several stacks of paper and multiple quills are on the desk, along with a rusted pen. A stool sits nicely under the desk. A closet, painted a deep crimson, lies just to the right of the punching bag.

It's a boarding school, Naru. He doesn't have any choice in the decor. Well, he can put up pictures... but yeah. Tiny shared rooms. Luthien gets complaints from the students in the House of Sunlight every year. XD

Mortimer's house: Outside the mines, as originally thought. It's a big stone house, made of large stone blocks, with a cobblestone chimney. Its rooms include a den, a place with many books, and two windows, an alchemist's workshop, (which doubles as a kitchen in a pinch.) with the door you spoke of earlier. It contains all the tools of the trade, a chemistry set, liquid seperators, beakers, bottles, and charms. His bedroom upstairs, truly a loft of sorts, which gives him a good view of the house below, which has a desk to write on, (has his *locked* journal, and some alchemical discoveries scrawled on a napkin) and a nice bed. It contains his wardrobe as well, consisting of 5 identical trench coats, 10 identical white dress shirts, varying sweater vests, and a myriad of different bow ties. There is also a nice hat that he never wears, but that's a different story. There is also a guest room, below the master bedroom loft, which serves as ingredient storage as of now, but it has a nice bed and an empty dresser.

Potions and Alchemy class: http://tharn.pp.fi/kuvat/games/skyrim_h ... /igm9.html , look at the Silver Blood inn in Markarth, save foor the door furthest away in front of the main desk isn't there, the desk is turned toward the fireplace and back towards the door, and in front of the fireplace are 12 desks and chairs for the students. oh, and make it much, much better lit too.
So this is how signatures work? Hmm... What should I put here?

Hm, how far down are the Millenium Islands? I was thinking that Katherine's nation would be among one of the southernmost in the whole continent, though not quite nearly enough to reach the South Pole. For that, I wanted the weather and terrain to be like New Zealand's.

Millennium Islands: A series of a thousand islands bearing southwest of the Kingdom of Alyria and roughly half ways down the continent of Terra. Though some of the smaller islands straggle out to about three quarters of the way south. Largely many of the islands are devoid of much in the way of settlements.

A religious republic the Millennium Islands boast some of the finest weather to be had. Also called the Barrier Islands due to the fact they are the last landmass west before the open and endless ocean.

By and large the Islands are metal poor, resulting in steel being valued higher then gold or silver. Also because of this the followers of Al-Monj have a strong ethos of preferring unarmed combat and judge the worth of a man or woman based on their skills with their fists. Elite knight-paladins and monks however usually carry steel weapons with them as marks of station.

Subsiding on an economy of all things nautical the inhabitants dive for the matchless pearls of their homeland. They offer their services as sailors needing them. And their naval patrols are largely a mercenary force hired by sea kingdoms looking to rid themselves of troublesome pirates. In addition their shipwrights craft vessels for other nations, considered the most expensive ships there is nevertheless a ten year waiting period due to demand.

The largest islands are Idun home of the Sea Spire, Hune home of the Wave flats, and Sera home of the Seraph Academy.

The Sea Spire is the royal castle of the Millennium Islands and home of the Grand Prelate the head of the whole church. Crafted of a nearly transparent blue stone and adorned with a blazing golden sunburst it is the second tallest building in the kingdom at twelve stories.

The Wave flats are the main shipyards of the kingdom.

Seraph Academy is the training ground of all future knight-paladins and monks. At fifteen stories tall and crafted of white marble it is both large and imposing.

Hope that answered your question Verdrisca. This is merely for reference and is thus of course open to revision. Also I might polish it at a later date perhaps.

What are these 'poles' you speak of? XD

Other than that, it sounds good. You too, Derek, I like what you've done with the islands. :)

Okay, so no poles XD

Katherine and her father hail from the Far South, in the colonized province of Vostroi. Vostroi lies at the tip of Terria, though it is barely known and acknowledged by other nations. The reason for this is because the larger neighbor of Vostroi, the Vostroi Confederacy, by far outsizes it and has claimed it as a city-state within its borders. A political dispute is still present in both countries over whether or not the original Vostroi should be independent.

Vostroi is a diverse piece of land, with high-rise plateaus and sharp jutting mountains making a natural barrier from the northern Confederacy. As the slope goes down, briar forests begin to appear. This is where most of the nobility and colonists live, secluded from the natives. Down a little more, and lush deciduous forests will come into view. This is where the natives live. The waters surrounding Vostroi flip between calm and stormy, and very rarely is there a sunny day in Vostroi. Storms of all kinds can be found, from light showers to whirling hurricanes.

Thus, the people who live here are fair or pale in complexion, and are master navigators of the sea. Additionally, in order to survive the harsh conditions and rain, they often summon avian or deep-sea creatures to hunt, scavenge, and commute to the Confederacy. The colonists often summon a host of humanoid creatures and familiars to help around the estate, ranging from small spirits to otherworldly demons to do their bidding. Despite the segregation, there is little conflict between the colonist and native populations. They often mingle and cooperate together for large communal projects (often rebuilding a damaged structure or a large hunting trip), and there are plenty of mixed offspring between the two.

The Vostroi are best known for their summoning ability, which can be flaunted by showing off the building-sized beasts under their control. Both colonists and natives are encouraged to practice summoning often, though other types of magic are allowed. They are also known to be great ship-builders, though they specialize in canoes and kyaks, not sail-powered frigates. The seas surrounding Vostroi are also prime fishing spots, mainly because of the predator - prey ratio.

The Vostroi, according to the oral history passed down, have never been affected by the Dryness. However, their seclusion from the rest of the world may be a reason why their magic hasn't been affected. It was only when the colonists arrived that they had realized their world was much more larger than once thought. Since then, the beginning of Vostroi of piracy has come.

The economy in Vostroi is mediocre, at best. They function on an equivalent exchange system, using the prices of apples or other crops as a medium. They have no real currency, and labor is often the price for a decent set of meals a day. The colonists, however, do have plenty of Confederacy money (gold-rimmed silver coins) to use during business trips.

Culturally, Vostroi is an agnostic nation. They do not believe specifically in any god, and only count one, if any, as a possibility. They are a very open-minded group of people, though it often leads to conflicting philosophies.

Mapping of the first two levels of the Academy is complete! Albeit not in a conveniently shareable digital form. I'll be working on that next, along with creating 'place' listings for everywhere.

Still open to suggestions/requests for locations!
