Although I would love to give everyone who wants to join a spot, I will be limiting the roles to 4, or at the most 6 should someone have an absolutely amazing character. Because of this I will be starting with three slots left to fill and to give everyone a fair chance I will allow competition for roles. Since I don't want to make someone fill out an entire character sheet if there's a chance I'll have to reject them, there will be a character application thread where you can fill out a couple basic things and write a basic overview of your character. You can announce your intent to apply in the general OOC if you want, but it's not a requirement, it would be nice to hear from you though! ^^
Also, if you're familiar with the Tokyo ghoul manga and/or anime, you know that there are a lot of minor characters. So although I'm keeping the number of people in the role play low, if you want you can have secondary main characters if you already have one accepted as well as unlimited NPCs as long as you submit them in the OOC.
I know we're all busy, but I would like applications in by the 24th so we can have the sheets all in and start up on the weekend. If you need an extension PM me and I'll do my best to accommodate it, however if I've given you multiple extensions and have recieved no notice and you don't give a good reason, it reflects badly on you.
The rules are pretty well common sense, keep it PG-13, be respectful, no godmodding. As long as you're nice to your fellow roleplayers we shouldn't have any issues, and if we do I'll be sure to tell you and we can work it out. Posts once a week would be perfect, if it's not going to be possible for you for whatever reason be sure to PM me and we can figure something out for your character. Please keep posts to a 300 word minimum as this is a semi-literate roleplay.
If you need clarification and/or ideas for your character you can look at the Tokyo Ghoul wiki. Note that the roleplay begins after the end of the original manga and before the beginning of Re, so there will be no Quinx and other things that weren't present in the original manga. I also don't want a ton of one eyed ghouls, I think that I'll only allow one that isn't a side character.
There will be a separate OOC for submitting NPCs in which you can use the character application sheets or make your own. I might make a couple edits and post a new one there, but for now stick with those. If you want to have a second playable character after you've already been accepted, go right ahead. However, please note that the 4 main roles will not be killed off without agreement between all players, a secondary character can be killed off by the owner with no notice unless it assumes the place of a killed off main. Because of the nature of this roleplay, this could very well happen rather frequently.
Both places and organizations will have their own OOCs. They can be submitted by anyone but I would like to have a collaborative effort in order to build this roleplay up successfully. I'm currently working on two organizations, (GDA and a ghoul worshiping cult,) but I would like to have several ghoul organizations as well. Specifically an anteiku-esque peaceful one as well as one more similar to Aogiri Tree.
Places can be fairly open, just make sure that they're something that would realistically be in the roleplay (, ie. no farms or space stations randomly appearing in the middle of New York). Congrats on reading this far! to tell me that you have, write 'Juliet' in transparent at the bottom of your character application.
Last but not least, I'd like for everyone to have frequent contact OOC. There'll be a chat room linked at the bottom of the main page if you want to talk there, or you can use the general OOC. Either way, it's just nice to hear from you! ^^
