The Arcane students of Cascadia are as varied as any others. But there are a few main classes of students, as determined by the Faculty.

The Magicks
These are the students who can seem to do odd things. They may be able to restore dead plants or kill them with a touch, cause things to fall apart or repair them with a glance.

The Psychics
These are the people who can almost always guess what you’re thinking, and seem to have an uncanny way of getting others to do what they please.

The Necromancers
They can speak with the dead through a variety of means. Some of them see ghosts and spirits, while others have mysterious dreams that offer them glimpses of the futures.

The Cursed
The Cursed often overlap with the above classes, except their abilities are always destructive and next to impossible to control.
those who do not believe in magic will never find it.

To put it bluntly, Isabella can absorb information rather quickly through touch at an accelerated pace, she mostly uses this on papers, books, and other forms of information, but she is occasionally able to use this on another being, but it's rather tricky.

To do this, she must have physical contact with the object, and the amount of time and energy spent on doing so depends on what she's exactly trying to take in. For just a sheet of paper with notes it would take a matter of seconds, but for a thicker textbook, it could take from 30 minutes to an hour. As said before, she is able to use this on a person, but not just anyone. The other person, or being, has to be one of three things; trusting of Isabella, not on edge, or vulnerable, all of these lowers the subjects guard and makes it easier for Isabella to get a read on them. But it's not just the ability to read someone and see what they are lying, but more so to feel their intentions, though sometimes it's hard for Isabella to understand the feeling she is getting.

Also, when using her arcane ability, two eyes appear on her hands. These eyes stay on her hands during the usage as well as a little bit afterwards, sometimes for an additional 30 minutes.

So I guess her abilities are more so with the Magicks, with a spice of Psychics

Things seem to break less in Harmony’s presence, and she can fix things far more easily than most. Sometimes, she can fix things just by touching them, other times, she finds it much, much easier to fix things than anyone else. The energy drain required for it is relative to the size of the object she has to fix and the severity of the break. She once managed to fix her father’s car and save him several hundred dollars, but had to sleep for an hour or two immediately afterwards. She hasn’t yet found the limit of what she can fix, but if something is broken into many small pieces, she can’t put that back together. Man made materials are considerably easier for her to fix than organic materials.

No one in her family really knows when the connection to the Arcane started, all they know is that it has always been passed down by generation to generation as long as records go, or anyone is concerned. Due to her bloodline, Beau was sadly handed down the part of magic that is typically feared and veered as dangerous if not properly trained or controlled. Necromancy. It is no easy walk in the park for anyone given this ability, nor is it a delightful experience for the user either.

Like most, Beau is capable of speaking with the dead, or seeing ghosts and spirits at random, unless she chooses to specifically summon a spirit. Which is rare, as she is terrified of the powers she was gifted, and often wishes that the Arcane had passed her entirely. She knows her connections to the Arcane are strong, and she has the potential and blood line to back it up, but only if she is ever able to gain control of her powers. Almost any and all incantations to summon the dead that she has attempted in the past has either failed, or had gone entirely wrong and someone got hurt due to her lack of control.

An odd side affect of when she uses her abilities, but the irisis of her eyes go turn a white color, versus their normal brown. With that said, it is rather obvious whenever Beau uses her powers as the shift in her eyes is immediate. Another important thing to note is, to never shake her from her focus if she is communicating with a spirit, as it could have terrible outcomes which could result in full possession or at least someone else getting hurt in the process.

Since Ariza first entered the world of the arcane he's been haunted by various Oricha (many of whom were attracted his large amounts of Ache), the most powerful being his great grandfather, Lynden. Whether it was a spell, a class, or even just playing, he could feel his great grandfather whispering in his ear and in some cases, guiding his hand. It started as simple games of play and the occasional prank, but as he became older, his connection with his grandfather's ghost strengthened and the two were inextricably tied to one another. Through Ariza, his great grandfather could interact with the mortal world while through Lynden, Ariza's innate spellcasting was strengthened. His grandmother told him to be grateful because it was Olodumare's way of keeping him safe.

In terms of specialties, Ariza's family deals with the usage of Ache, the energy that runs through all living beings and objects. It's the power to make things happen and produce change. His family taught him how to heal others (among other things) through rituals and herbal remedies; however, his path veered from the rest of his family. As the years grew, his remedies began to backfire. Rather than healing others, he siphoned Ache from whatever he touched and whatever spells he cast. Unless he actively concentrated, his presence would drain the energy from the area around him. Often times, people around him would find themselves tiring out more easily and he was barred from seeing babies entirely.

It proved to be a source of both joy and contention as nobody had ever heard of such a power nor did they know how to deal with it. Though many of his family members began to fear him, his mentor vouched for his kind heart and that with his gift, that he might be the one to break the family curse wherein all of their Santeria practitioners die before twenty-five years of age.

He hopes that Cascadia College will help control his magic and regain his healing abilities. When he siphons Ache, his fingertips glow light blue. Unfortunately for him, Lynden has other plans.

It's hard to hide your emotions from Monet: they can feel them. Happiness, sadness, fear- there's no point in lying and telling them that you're fine. You have to be close enough to them, of course, for them to read your emotions. They can't pick up a subtle dose of melancholy from across the room, but within a few feet, close enough for your "auras" to touch, they'll likely pick up on whatever you're feeling. It's not perfect, especially when they aren't concentrating, but they're getting better all the time.

Occasionally, they let out a burst of emotions, temporarily affecting the people nearby. They can't quite control this, and it tends to happen whenever they're feeling an overwhelming amount of any given emotion. It radiates from them, and the effects are usually very short lived: mere moments.

If you think of a memory, and let them touch you (typically they'll choose to touch a person's head, if they're comfortable with it. It's just easiest.), they'll be able to see that memory. It tends to be very inmate, literally sharing a memory with someone else. Monet treasures this ability, and so far people have really only shared happy memories with them. They know that, one day, they may have a memory that's harder to bare shared with them, but they figure that by sharing it, it may make it easier on the memory's true owner.
Things are only impossible until they're not.
