Anyone who has ever been forced into a survival situation knows that the saying "Mind over matter" has some basis of truth to it. Sheer willpower has the ability to manipulate and change the rules of nature. The brain produces adrenaline in tough situations, which can enable people to do some amazing things, some of which even defies logic or what scientists think is humanly possible. Indeed, there is much to be left unsaid and unknown about the subconscious mind. Perhaps we will never fully understand. As far as things like telekinesis or the ability to read people's thoughts, or influence events via one's own magical intent or imagination, I don't think it works that way, but I could be wrong. However, one thing is absolutely certain. The mind does completely effect the world, and indeed, the universe, at least on an individual and personal level. So perhaps it is also possible that the mind can change the course of events or situations that otherwise would have a different outcome or result than if that intention was not present to begin with. Just a thought. How much the mind effects the world is a different matter entirely. But it is definitely my opinion that the answer to the original question, "Does Mind Affect the World?" is a resounding "Yes".
