Descendants

Many, many years ago, lived a royal family. The Romona family to be precise. They ruled their country on the basis of what their ancestors had believed for hundreds of years and believed deeply in their hearts that they were in charge of a happy place, a kingdom united. But little did they know that their people were not happy. In fact they were everything but.
Whilst The Romonas lived rolling in wealth, happiness and gold, their people struggled to make ends meet. They could hardly afford food, accomodation and many children died nearly everday because of the diseases that were rife amongst the communities.

However, how, you may ask, were the Romonas so blind to the destruction of their kingdom? Well, the answer was a simple one. A group of men who worked in closeness with the king and acted as his advisors were feeding his royal highness false information. They constantly told him of how much his people loved him, how much his family were respected. But then at grounds roots things were very different.
The same group of advisors liked to spread around how the Romonas revelled in their wealth while the everyday man struggled to feed his family. In fact they spread so much venom through the kingdom that their words soon led to an uprising, where the people of the country united together to overthrow the royals who they so loathed.
It was on this fateful night that a group of the king's advisors betrayed their leader. Calling themselves 'the dark boys', the men decided that they wished to rule the kingdom and now that their people were revolting against the king and his family, the death of the royals wouldn't be at all minded.

And so, tricking the king, the queen and their five children into trusting them once more, the dark boys led the family down to the cellar where they told them that they would be safe, away from the violence outside. But little did the family know that the cellar would indeed become the stuff of nightmares in the very same night.
Without further ado, once the family was safely locked in, the dark boys took out their pistols and shot each family member, killing them stone dead. Or at least.. that's what they thought.
Upon their muderous activities, the men carried the bodies away from the castle and to a nearby forest where they had decided to burn the bodies and then bury the remains amongst the soil. But little did they know, one of their members actually had a heart. Feelings, emotions, guilt. And when he went to throw the the youngest Romona daughter, Anna, onto the pile of burning bodies, she cried out in pain. To his amazement, she was still alive. And he couldn't kill her.

Taking pity on the young girl, the dark boy member managed to smuggle her away from the others and escape to England, where they later on bult a life together.. and had a children. But because Anna never had any real idea of who she was, the result of a blow to the head during her capture, neither did their children. Which is where our present day story begins.

Today in England, live a brother and a sister, living by the last name of Ross. The sister is nineteen years old, the brother twenty two. They live normally, unaware of their family's lineage until one day a group of men turn up in town, calling themeslves 'the dark boys'. Yes you got it.
The group of men are descendants from the original opposition team and over the years they've managed to track down the Romona descendants after their fathers found out of one of their own men's betrayal. And now that they've found them.. Well. Isn't it obvious? Yes, they want to kill them, do away with them so that there's no chance of the descendants ever finding out about their ancestors and taking up their rightful claim to the throne. But what happens.. when history repeats itself? And feelings develop where they shouldn't...
