Shadow - The Shadow is a being that is a living mass that can take any form. The mass is always growing, which can be accelerated by the consumption of dead organic matter. Due to this fact, and the fact that the Shadow is rarely hostile, is why you can see a large amount of Shadow around graveyards and battlefields. Its ability to think is based on the size of the mass. The Shadow often forms psychic networks, known as Nexus Links, to a Shadow Nexus. After a Shadow Mass becomes to big to stay in a form, it will split and will create two smaller masses that will then take smaller forms.
Looks of The Shadow in true form:
A black blob that varies in size.
Often mistaken by humans for oil, until they get close enough for it to run.
Can change the exact color to match surroundings if need be.
Shadow Nexus (A.K.A. Shadow Core) - The center of a Nexus Link. This acts as a hive mind that, for a certain distance, will give commands and related memories to connected masses of Shadow. Once a mass of Shadow is disconnected from its Shadow Nexus, it will search for its old Nexus, or find or create a new Shadow Nexus. Generally the Shadow masses will think on their own, but will refrence to their connected Shadow Nexus for memories and orders.
Looks of A Shadow Nexus:
A large, black mass of spheres and cylinders.
The biggest sphere and origin of all the cylinders is the storage for all memories that that Shadow Nexus has created.
Creates a faint glow.
A new sphere is made for every mass that is linked to the specific core.
How to kill Shadow:
To kill Shadow, you must destroy the entirety of the mass, this is most commonly done by using fire.
The Shadow is impervious to cold and hot environments, but will burn when in contact with fire.
