The third world war brought with it many new weapons most of which can still be found in the wasteland either scavenged or constructed by Post-War factions. Prices double if not buying from a manufacturer.
GunsThough combustion firearms were mostly phased out of military use by 2077 by directed energy weapons they remain the most common ranged weapons in the wasteland due to the ease of maintenance and construction of both the guns themselves and the ammunition. Most guns are manufactured by the Californian company Gun Runners and Legion blacksmiths.
Colt 6520 10mm pistol
A reliable and effective weapon, the Colt 6520 is the AK-47 of sidearms. Its stopping power, rapid firing rate are why the Bureau of Alcohol, Drugs, Tobacco, Firearms and Lasers made it their standard side arm and its reliability and simple design are why VaultTec chose it as the standard sidearm for all Vaults as it was perfect for the job of post war survival. Being an auto revolver it feeds rounds into a 10 round cylinder, which can simply be replaced for faster reload, and it fires as fast as any semi automatic pistol. However it is very large for a pistol and quite heavy.
Ammunition type: 10mm Auto
Ammo Capacity: 10 round replaceable cylinder
Price: 750

H&K MP9 submachinegun
If you were curious as to why the Fed made the 10mm auto their standard round this is it. Considered by some to be the finest gun in the world. The MP9 is more reliable then all its previous models and has a very high rate of fire. Magazine fed it holds only 30 rounds standard but 40 round magazines can be found.
Ammunition: 10mm Auto

9mm "Plumbatae"submachinegun
Once the last ditch effort of a country whose war economy had been shattered, the 9mm SMG schematics were found by Caesar's Legion and regularly used for the exact reason they were invented: Incredible ease of manufacturing and a good, if loud, punch from a cheap ammunition. The Legion's ideal of minimal technology fits perfectly with this weapon and Caesar was not shy to exploiting this weapon's maximum economic potential as a high selling fiream. Thus merchants from Legion territory have spread this gun far and wide. While the legion only manufacture a cheap 30 round box magazine a larger Pre-war designed 60 round drum magazine is compatible with this weapon.
Ammunition: 9mm
Ammo Capacity: 30 round box Magazine, 60 round drum
Price: 850
Rarity: Very Common
Affiliation: Caesar's Legion
M&A 9mm Pistol
This pistol was the preferred side arm in the Southwest Commonwealth and it and its ammo are very easily found there. Making the gun even more common its also the Standard issue sidearm for the New California Republic Army and thus is manufactured by the Gun Runners. The upside to this gun its very large magazine capacity at 13 rounds with even larger 20 round magazines also being common albeit still rarer then the standard.
Ammunition: 9mm
Ammo Capacity: 13 Round Magazine, 20 Round Extended Magazine.
Price: 500
Rarity: Very Common

Rugar Vaquero
The Vaquero is a single action, fixed cylinder revolver with a slow rate of fire and even slower reload time. This is made up for by range, reliability and the fact all its short comings can be over come with enough practice and skill with this weapon. It is favored by both NCR Patrol Rangers and Legion officers however only the Californian company the Gun Runners manufactures it. This doesnt keep Legion veterans from taking trophies however. It holds 6 .357 magnum rounds but like all weapons chambered in .357 it can also shoot the .38 Special round.
Ammunition: .357 Magnum, 38 Special
Ammo Capacity: 6 round fixed cylinder
Price: 550
Rarity: Common

12.7mm "Spatha" Submachinegun
Firing the high powered .500 S&W round with a high rate of fire the Spatha is the meanest most powerful submachinegun in the wasteland and was found to be surprisingly easy to manufacture by Legion Blacksmiths. However unlike the Plumbatae Caesar took pains to make sure this powerful weapon did not fall into enemy hands. While the weapon's large spread and loud report was seen as a feature to Legion suppression troops its low capacity was not, holding only 21 rounds.
Ammunition: .500 S&W
Ammo Capacity: 21 round perpendicular magazine.
Price: 3750
Rarity: Rare
Affiliation: Caesar's Legion
12.7mm Pistol
A powerful hand cannon able to quickly empty the mere 4 S&W rounds that it can take in its clip. The 12.7mm pistol is a rare gun favored by Legion Centurions looking for dual against Ranger Sequoias and assassins looking to get their hands on the most powerful silenceable pistol. While the weapon has a very small clip it makes up for it by having a very fast rate of fire and reload time as the clip is ejected after the last round fires and the marksman simply needs to insert a new clip.
Ammunition: .500 S&W
Ammo Capacity: 4 Round Clip
Price: 1200

.45-70 Hunting Revolver
An incredibly powerful and accurate revolver, if you can find a scope attachment it has sniper rifle like range and killing power. While only holding 5 rounds in its sliding cylinder, sheer power and range make up for it. The weapon was initially used by the Desert Rangers before joining the NCR. Introduction of both the pistol and the .45-70 Gov't round came a new favorite weapon of NCR Rangers everywhere.
Ammunition: .45-70 Gov't
Ammo Capacity: 5 round sliding cylinder

Ranger Saquoia
The hunting revolver's finely crafted, fixed cylinder, single action, engraved brother. The most accurate pistol in the wasteland and more reliable then the Hunting revolver. This weapon is only given to the Veteran NCR Rangers and each gun is made specifically for its owner. Unlike most guns the NCR have the Gun Runners do not manufacture this weapon.

Silenced .22 Submachinegun
Accurate, easy to handle, firing faster then any other submachinegun, and holding either 180 or 240 rounds in its drum this gun is unmatched for what its used for: Gunning down and skirmishing with any NCR tourists that managed to smuggle a gun into the Casino while not disturbing the guests gambling in the other rooms. Sadly, out in the wasteland its effectiveness diminishes drastically due to its complicated reloading, terrible reliability when exposed to the elements, and weak penetration. This weapon is also easily smuggled into weapons free zones as it was designed to be dismantled, concealed, and then re-assembled.
Ammunition: .22LR
Ammo Capacity: 180 round top loading drum, 240 extended drum

S&W Model 9 Revolver
This powerful revolver fits between the Rugar Vaquero and the Hunting Revolver having 6 shots like the former, double action like the later, and packing the powerful .44 magnum and can also be loaded with the .44 Special round. Sadly, despite the well rounded balance of this pistol it has not found its way into the arsenal of any major factions and can only be found by scavenging.

Lever action shotgun
Favored by Legion veterans and NCR rangers who prefer close range engagements. It fires the smaller 20gauge shell but a skilled user can fire all 5 rounds rapidly enough where reduced power wont make a difference. The weapon is also quite reliable.
Ammunition: 20 gauge shotshell
Ammo Capacity: 5 round top loading tube
Price: 2000

Caravan Shotgun
This weapon has found favor among many groups especially caravan guards and Caesar's Legion as its simple design allows cut backs in manufacturing specifications which although causes the weapon to be less reliable it makes it extremely cheap and easy to manufacture in small numbers. The Legion and the Crimson Caravan also prefer its 20gauge shells over 12 gauge as they are easier to produce and slugs fire more smoothly allowing the gun to also act as a rifle when needed.

Pancor Jackhammer
The Pancor Corporation Jackhammer is a 12-gauge, gas-operated automatic shotgun. It is one of very few fully automatic shotguns, and although patented in 1987, it never entered full-scale production due to the company's bankruptcy until 2043 when both the company name and all patents were bought. Its rynite plastic frame, bullpup layout and shock absorption balances the weapon for easy control making it easier to use then any other shotgun even non-automatics. As an interesting additional feature, it is possible to take the drum magazine off the firearm, attach a detonator, and use it as an anti-personnel mine that fires all of the cartridges at once when tripped. The manufacturer advertised this as the "Beartrap." The Gun Runners attempted to add this firearm to their arsenal but were unable to do it as without the schematics themselves the weapon is too difficult to manufacture and attempted models performed poorly. Caesar's Legion had far better luck finding a large cache of these weapons in New Mexico.
Ammunition: 12 Gauge Shotshell
Ammo Capacity: 10 Round Ammo Cessette Drum Magazine.

NCR Mauser
A simple and precise weapon very popular before the war as a hunting rifle. When the Gun Runners were were demoing all the schematics they had available for manufacture to the NCR this design was chosen for the sole reason that it was cheaper then the DKS while firing the same round and when attached with a scope can be used as a sniper rifle. It is the standard issue rifle for the NCR 1st Recon Sniper Unit.

DKS-501The DKS-501 is an excellent long range weapon used widely among the US military before ballistic weapons were phased out for more effective laser weapons. While the Gun Runners manufacture this weapon it is not used by the NCR military instead bought by paramilitary units such as mercenary bands.

Anti-Materiel Rifle
An incredibly powerful and long range rifle chambered in the .50 BMG round. It is a bolt action rifle designed for use against military equipment (or "materiel" in military language) using explosive or incendiary munitions. The rifle is capable of engaging at extreme ranges however it is very heavy and cumbersome due to its length and prevents you from being able to use a heavy weapon with it. This weapon is used by both the NCR Elite Rangers and Caesar's Legion veteran marksman in equal measure.
Ammunition: .50 BMG
Ammo Capacity: 8 round magazine

M16A5The M16A5 is a perfect example of the state America was in during WWIII. The design was modernized with a new internal mechanism making an unreliable and ridiculously inaccurate weapon into a useful assault rifle. It was also re chambered in the .30 Carbine round as the bullet was far easier to manufacture then the 5.56 NATO. It is now the standard issue assault weapon in the NCR and the Gun Runners commercially sell this weapon openly making it a common site.
Ammunition: .30 Carbine
Ammo Capacity: 24 round magazine, 40 round extended magazine
Price: 2950

M16A6The M16A5 proved to be a major improvement over the earlier models but the US still had a large stockpile of 5.56 NATO they didnt want to go to waste thus they added a shock absorbing stock, scope, switched to semi-auto, and tightened it up to make the M16A6 Marksman carbine. Like the M16A5 it is the NCR standard marksman rifle.

M16A7This weapon was originally a U.S. checkpoint guard carbine used in Canada, issued from the Long Branch Arsenal in Ontario, USA territory. Chambered with the .500 S&W round, this semi automatic rifle was supposed to offer guards the firepower necessary to intercept anyone attempting to breach a checkpoint, regardless of equipment. Since it was designed and deployed for guard duty on the Canadian border copies of this weapon are few and by far. Estimated only 2-3 can be found in the Great Basin.

NCR M16A7
When the NCR got their hands on the schematics for the M16A7 they found it perfect in almost every way. The one problem was the expensive ammunition thus they contracted the Gun Runners to make a modified version chambered in the 5.56 NATO round on the agreement that they would make the weapon the NCR's standard issue service rifle. The rifle has effectively become a new age AK-47 being the most manufactured weapon in the Gun Runners and commercially sold an almost equal numbers to the amount NCR have contracted. The weapon has found its place is just about every corner of the wasteland.

Light Machine GunThe smallest weapon a super mutant can use it is often deployed by them after they pry it from the cold hands an NCR trooper after their minigun breaks down. M1 Garand
The M1 Garand is a nearly 400 year old semi automatic rifle design. Whats unique about the gun is special en bloc clip containing 8 rounds. When the last round is fired the clip is immediately ejected from the weapon and a new clip can be loaded in a single motion allowing for a very fast reload time. Though one must be careful to remove their thumb quickly or risk fracturing it as the bolt closes. The M1 garand is also very accurate rifle and while dirt and sand easily cause the weapon to malfunction while the rifle is locked closed the only area for debris to enter the weapon is through the barrel allowing the weapon to act very reliably as long as the user takes care of it. Nowadays the M1 is used by the NCR military but, as 23rd century warfare is far different then that of WWII, it was not a marksman weapon instead it is rarely ever used against human targets and loaded with either hollow point or armor piercing munitions and used as a "designated anti-mutant rifle" as its high caliber and higher rate of fire allows it to dispatch Mojave wildlife better then any other weapon the NCR have. While the .30-06 is one of the few cartridges capable of shooting through the skull of a deathclaw this only works with armor piercing ammunitions and is still unreliable thus the NCR Mauser's bolt action was ineffective while as the M1 Garand can unload an entire clip before a deathclaw can finish a charge should the user stop it in time.

.357 "Hasta" Lever Action RifleLever action rifles were chosen as the rifle for choice for Legion marksman as the weapon's near ancient design allowed for easy manufacturing while the NCR Rangers chose it for a different but very related reason of nostalgia and performance. The Hasta is the smallest caliber of lever action rifle used by the Legion and is used primarily by Patrol Rangers in the NCR and rarely used in the battle field by them but enough so Legion is able to fill up their supply easily from NCR caches.
Ammunition: .357 Magnum, .38 Special
Ammo Capacity: 7 round side loading tube
Price: 2000
Rarity: Common

.44 "Verutum" Lever Action RifleSimply a step up in caliber above the .357 the legion used it so the surplus .44 magnum rounds they scavenged wouldnt go to waste. It also had a longer range then the .357 enough where a scope became a useful and common attachment in the Legion. The more powerful round also made it more effective against mutants and armored targets though when facing the NCR this was almost never an issue. The NCR Rangers also used it as a step up from the .357 for increased power.
Ammunition: .44 Magnum, .44 Special
Ammo Capacity: 8 round side loading tube
Price: 2200(without scope)

.45-70 "Pilum" Lever Action RifleAgain just a step up above the .44 but with an added "Fuck you" from the Legion when they began using the Desert Ranger's ammunition and rifles against them. The .45-70 Gov't rounds are extremely powerful and although they have weak penetration for their size their force can flatten a Ranger in their heavy combat armor. When the Desert Ranger's merged with the NCR Rangers they brought this weapon with them and it is the rifle every Elite Ranger marksman uses.

CZ53 personal minigun
A Rockwell CZ53 personal minigun is capable of firing 5mm ammunition at over 20,000 RPM with an ammo capacity of 400 .30 Carbine rounds. The CZ53 personal minigun makes up for the small .30 Carbine round by sending a hail of bullets toward its target. Its sheer size, coupled with its trademark sound, is enough to send anyone in its path running for cover. It's a great weapon for suppressive fire, letting others flank the unsuspecting enemy. The weapon was designed to be used by power armored troops, but was quickly replaced by more efficient laser weaponry, and thus is far too heavy to be used by a human under normal means and thus is not used by either the NCR or Legion. However before the death of The Master the Super Mutants manufactured a very large number of these weapons and continue to use it to this day and it is one of the few combustion firearms the Brotherhood of Steel use.

M2 Browning
A strictly vehicle mounted weapon it is sometimes ripped from the vehicle in question and used for personal use. However the lack of any kind of ergonomics, recoil absorption, and the very strong kick make it impossible for this weapon to be used by a human being in such a way and the weapon is considered heavy by super mutant standards. Tripod mounted deployable turret systems still allow the weapon to be used by a human without power armor but it remains extremely heavy and expensive but very popular among deathclaw hunters.
