The Children of Earth is a barbaric tribe ruled by Halldora the Courageous. Before Halldora existed her father, Galon. It is told the Children of Earth became with Galon’s father, Garrick. The man ventured out to create the clan at age twenty-five, the tribe was fully forged and attempted to settle a kingdom when Garrick was twenty-eight. The settlement was tried at the artic lands, however that resulted in a failure. Garrick's son choose to settle near the departing of the artic lands however the weather was still rough, thus he choose to journey down at age twenty-seven.
Garrick charged equipped with a spear. The spear was kept for tradition and is only called to be put in use only in a battle of which the leader of the tribe believes they will die. And surely they shall, for even if they do not die in battle with the spear but however use it, they must put an end of himself or herself with the spear. And if a leader dies in battle without the spear, their corpse shall be burned and with the ashes they shall be rubbed against the forehead of the child taking leadership, symbolizing that their father or mother shall stand with them in war. If the leader does not have a child, the ashes shall be rubbed against the greatest warrior in the tribe, setting them as the next leader. If they do die with the spear, their ashes shall be rubbed against the weapon, symbolizing their spirit strengthening the spear. However if they did in any other way other than by murder, their ashes shall be sprinkled around the camp, symbolizing their presence even after death.
Spear of Garrick
The Children of Earth are currently nomadic people; they shall begin their journey to the South Atlantic land up in the North Atlantic. The cold and icy temperature has swept the men away by illnesses. Because Halldora’s father has died of severe frost bite, she is determined to settle down South, however perhaps the land is already taken.
The Children of Earth have many traditions. Such as ash scattering and spear use described above. Another practice is the rubbing of paints. When traveling they rub the soil of the earth and the stains of grass for the blessing of Damek the god of Earth. This group of barbarians remain to discover different gods. When rushing into a plotted battle, they paint their face with the blood from their palms, praying to Guerrant, the god of war, that they shed blood then but not in battle.
Another is a Guardian Slave. A Guardian Slave is one who protects and serves the leader of the tribe. They live as a weapon, armor, and tool. They are forced to believe that it is because the leader of the tribe has gifted them permission to live that they can. If they die when given the permission to die, their ashes shall be spread across the victorious battle field, symbolizing that the Guardian Slave will stand in the immortal army of Guerrant. But if they are given not the permission to die, their corpse shall be thrown out to the birds and they shall face the wrath of Guerrant. A Guardian Slave must birth a son so that the son will become the new Guardian Slave when his or her father dies. The leader must choose the Guardian Slave’s mate.
