Old Man Hoshi has taken care of Xero ever since he was found outside of Pallet Town. With no other family of his own, Hoshi as always seen Xero like a grandson, even defending him when he hears a few town folks commenting on the young boy's odd nature from time to time. While Xero may show some discomfort at times when Hoshi shows him kindness, he still appreciates his kindness that he has given him over the years and is considered like family to Xero.
