Section 1: The Grand Empire of Amarais

The home of engineering innovation, Grand Empire of Amarais is the only established country in the western continent. Its territory extends all the way out to the edges of the Deor Desert, and down to the Pilk peninsula. During the beginning of Lord Porfirio II's Tessaic Crusade, in which he decreed a law in which all residents of Gimli must convert to the church of the goddess Tessa, which he enforced by death, and dissenters were ostracized from society, not being able to join any of the well known Gimlian Universities, or land a well paying job, most if the dissenters opted to move to the much more lenient Empire of Amarais, led by the Empress Cassandra Amarais (all royalty recieve the surname Amarais upon their ascent to the throne). Among the dissenters were many of the greatest minds in Gimli, with so many great minds, innovation was bound to happen, and such is why most of the modern marvels seen today are created or discovered in Amarais, Particularly the prestigious University of Borne. Despite this Utopian image, Amarais is also victim to the parasitic crimes such as sex trade, black market dealings, slave running and drug smuggling. This rings particularky true for the major port cities.

■City of Amarais
The city of Amarais is the Capitol of the Grand Empire of Amarais. Known for its amazing feats of highrise architecture, it is Home to the Empress, as well as the Imperial Army, the City of Amarais is densely populated and very well protected from outside threats. That being said, as any other densely populated area, it is also home to many petty criminals, political corruption, and underground rings of various specialties, sex trade, drug trade, weapons and stolen parts, and so tourists are often told to be on their guard for pickpockets, swindlers and shady figures. The city is policed by squads of NSA's (Non-sentient automatons) Who are led by either a human or an SA (Sentient Automaton). The city of Amarais is also home to the Imperial Skyport, one of the three Airship ports of Amarais, and the largest skyport in the world.
In the center of the town is the Town square, home to the Imperial Amphitheater, the Gimli and Damarian Embassies, and the central hub of Amaraic commerce. To the south is the Imperial Skyport, and to the north the Imperial Palace, home of the Empress, and the Grand Imperial Garden. To the west is the Engineer's guild, and is often where great works of engineering are put on display, and to the east is the Imperial Train station.
The grand city of Amarais is surrounded by many smaller cities, all considered part of the Amarais county.

■The Calem Farmlands
Calem city is the center of the group of rural towns that make up the Calem Farmlands. Lush green rollings hills and fertile soil make the area prime for livestock and agriculture. Steam powered machinery till the fields, run the grain mills, and slaughter the livestock in the larger farms, the smaller, family owned farms are tended by hand, save for what machinery the are capable, and willing, to buy. Towns are policed by militia, and what NSA's they recieve from the Capital city. Thats does not always stop the bandits who attack the transports, smaller towns, and more isolated, out of the way farms.

■Borne
The largest city in the country, Borne is home to the prestigious University of Borne, as well as the Airship Academy. Most of the high class business owners and wealthy families live in Borne, so those from Borne are often times seen as snooty, due to the downcast looks they give foreigners, or those who go to the University or Academy on Scholarship. Also, theirtreatment of Automatons, even the sentient ones, and Aetherfolk says alot of their character.
The Borne Station is in the northern part of town, in between the University of Borne, and the Imperial Airship Academy. The north side of Borne is mainly used for production and commerce, while the South of is the residential area, large houses and luxurious mansions, intermingles with a few shops of those who were lucky enough to find a space to set up.
The surrounding towns are all a part of Borne county, and are just as wealthy in terms of general population, increasing in wealth according to proximity to Borne.

■The Pilk Peninsula
The town of Pilk is the second Skyport town in Amarais, it has the smallest Skyport in the country, Pilk's population is generally middle to low class. The central lands is generally swamp lands and therefore the towns surrounding the main town are very small and thinly spread. At the western edge, the Aether Badlands can just be seen in the horizon, across the Pilk-Badlands canal, if the day is particularly clear.

■Port William
While there are various smaller port towns along the coast of Amarais, Port William is THE central port town of the country, Home to the Imperial Navy, the Imperial Seaport, and the third and final Skyport, which is the second largest in the country, Port William serves as the entrance to all imported goods. Albeit closely defended by the Navy, the Seaport does suffer the occasional Pirate attack, by air or by sea, but only the strongest, or stupidest, pirates dare take on the Imperial Navy. The sea and skyport are both found at the coast, while the train station is at the western most sector of the town. This town is just as heavily guarded as the Capital, and so Automatons are just as common.
The surrounding towns tend to be minor fishing towns, and the nautical engineering guild is found in the town closest to the south of Port William, Gorgon Bay.

■Iria
Iria, named after the goddess of debauchery, is otherwise known as sin city. Casinos and hostels aplenty, the police here exist only as a front. As most of them have been bought off by the casino owners. While it is still a place of high traffic, the town is very dangerous at night, although that is when the town is liveliest.
The surrounding towns are simple towns, no real specialty, a few farms and shop owners here and there, but otherwise simple, low-class folk.

■Redwater
The mining town of redwater, here the residents are mainly workers of the various factories and mines the dot the mountainsides all of which are owned by wealthy folk, who usually live in borne, and visit regularly for supervision. The bowels of the earth are upturned in search of coal and precious minerals. The town recieved its name when a nearby stream was found to occasionally run an ominous scarlet color. During this time the monsters were much more aggressive, and so it was opted to take an out of the way dirt trail when traversing the area. Local residents often joked "when the river runs read, take the dirt trail instead" usually rousing a laugh at the confused faces of gutterminded travelers. The surrounding towns are factory and mining towns as well

■Keepsie
There's no other way to put it. A pirate town. everyone knows it, but nobody ever does anything about it. The reason being that as long as the pirates are kept a small out of the way area, the less they bother the rest of the country, and the easier it is to keep an eye on them. The surrounding towns are all owned by separate pirate crews when not at home, wars and raidings are very common.

Section 2: The Gimli Republic

As most alchemists have sort of connection to religious organizations, Gimli, located on the western side of the eastern continent, is home the some of the greatest alchemists of the era, Gimlian alchemists played a key role in the discovery and research of aether. Most of the country devoutly follows the goddess Tessa, although not as strongly as it did during Lord Porfirio II's reign. The Gimli Republic is currently led by Lord Porfirio III, the son of Lord Porfirio III.

■Gimli
The capitol of the Gimli Republic, beautiful rustic architecture spans over the rolling hills. The town of Gimli is the location of the Gimli Central Skyport, and the Gimli Castle, Home to Lord Porfirio III. It is also home to the Grand Tessaic Church, wherein resides the High Priestess of Tessa, and the Alchemists Guild, in which the greatests alchemists of the world pertain to.

■Port Glasswater
Home to the Gimlian Navy and the import/export capital of the country. Just as Amarais's Port William, it is prone to attack by pirates, it is is protected by the navy, who's devastating Alchemic weapons are a force to be reckoned with.

■Pollet
Pollet itself is home to the Gimlian Gentry, while the surrounding towns are populated by the lower class. Class divisions in Gimli are not as strong as in Amarais, though racism is also a problem, as Damarians are viewed as Gypsy folk and are often mistreated, despite their kind and generous nature.

■The Island of Holton
Entry to the island of Holton was no easy task. Building a bridge between the mainland and Holton was just as difficult. One side of Holton was lined in steep, impossible to climb cliffs, while the other side was lined with dense mountains, it took many years of excavation and help from Amaraic Engineers, but eventually, a large winding trail was set for the train to find its way to the center. Holton is used for mining and military training purposes.

■Cosme
The border town of cosme, the region is richest in terms of Damarian immigrants, and residents here are mixed about the fact. While some view the immigrants as fellow citizens, many view them as parasites, aliens to the land, this often leads to racial tensions and hate crimes.

Section 3: The Nomadic Lands of Damaris

The Nomadic Lands of Damaris are found in the southern region of the east continent. Set in the vibrant grasslands of the Damarian plains, the Damarian nomads are known for their abilities in navigation and tracking. While Damarians tend to go from place to place, never settling in one place for longer than a few weeks at a time, there are a few pre-established towns, mainly placed for the sake of foreigners, at is Damarian custom to make all guests as comfortable as possible. The Damarians are governed by a tribal system, all tribes are run by a high tribunal, and all decisions that effect the tribes are taken by the tribunal, who meet every solstice at the capitol settlement of Damaris.

■Pichings
The border town of Pichings is little more than a commerce center, scattered hotels, and an import/export inspection station, built into the train station.

■Zanzibar
Zanzibar is an archeologically rich area, home to the zanzibar ruins, proof that the Damarians once settled in one place for long periods of time. Why they took the backwards step into nomadism is still unknown.

■Gora and Ibwe
Two port towns, they are actually just well known fishing spots for the Damarians

■Damaris
The only truly established town in Damaris, the city of Damaris is where all tribes meet durin festivals, reunions, and emergencies. It is home to the Embassy, and the Court of the High Tribunal, where the Chiefs of each of the tribes represent their respective tribes, and settle disputes in between tribes.

Section 4: Aether Badlands

The Aether Badlands is a majorly uncharted territory to the south of the Amarais Empire. All that is known is that the territory is home to the Kraal, a primitive race of intelligent reptilian Aether beasts.

Section 5: Deor Desert.
A desert to the west of Amarais, not many venture into it, as it is virtually devoid of natural resources, the edge that has been claimed by Amarais is used for excavating sand for glassmaking.

Section 6: Elfwood
A dense forest to the northeast region of Amarais. Home to the Elves, The Empress and her predecessors have kept peace with the elves, and that peace would be upheld as long as the forest was left untouched, this often led to trouble with rowdy industrialists looking for a source of wood.

Section 7: The Black sands
A vast desert rich in aethervents to the east of Gimli. Often time Aether obsidian will be pulverized in the regular sandstorms and mixed with the sand, and so travellers would often find patches of black sand while exploring the edges of the desert.

Section 8: Drakon Mountains
The Drakon mountains are largely unexplored, this is due to the high population of Drakons, which, allowed to grow freely, grow to record sizes. They are located to the east of the Black Sands.

Section 9: Boreas

A tundra to the north of the western continent, largely unexplored. Not much else is known about it.
