As was mentioned in the introduction, the setting of this story is a world known as Kreonia. It is filled with three different species that we know of so far Humans, Daemons, and Fae. Separated by six vastly different lands. Anima, Terrasis, Aeralis, Leviathan, Ura, and Kozamu.

As the roleplay moves on the world of Kreonia will develop more and more. This thread will be dedicated to those developments. Here we will store all of the new world infomation. From terminology, to different species of deamon and Fae, common knowledge from the different countries, and etc. . .

Please run your ideas by me before posting though. We want to keep the information relevant and compatible with anything that was confirmed previously. Follow the code below.

The Academy

Image

The Academy works on a merit system, the better your grades the more you gain on a stipend (money, or whatever you consider equivalent to currency), you could very well live like a King depending on how much you earn from your stipend, or you could live in a room with with no bed, and dry cardboard bread to eat, it all comes down to how diligent you are in your studies. You can use this money for nearly anything, so long as it doesn't include illegal activities, although there isn't an adequate system to stop this since it happens so frequently) ,and transfer it anywhere. Also this stipend comes in the form of a credit card in case you want to purchase things faster, breakfast and lunch eaten at the school needs to be paid with this stipend, and it is mostly used to pay for textbooks and weapons. You are paid either weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly depending on your grade. Weekly being the best, monthly being the worst, sometimes punishments may also affect how much you are paid.

After your classes are over, you're allowed to roam within city limits (the city is pretty huge, you get lost and an android can assist you with transportation back to the school), but you must be back around at least 1am, if you're younger than 18, you are required to be back by 11pm.

Outside of school grounds, anyone over the age of 18 is allowed to exercise their right to adulthood (e.g drinking alcohol, club going, voting, other more...nefarious things), or even live in the city instead of the dorms of the castle (although this costs an incredible amount of money and is ill advised). Although, on school grounds you are not allowed to drink, smoke or wear gang paraphernalia. (Think of it like college)

You aren't allowed to use your weapons or magicks unless you are training, your life is under threat, or a superior/professor has given you express permission to do so.

Moderators typically monitor the hallways and take care disputes, they may even given out punishments if needed, though you're are only in serious trouble if you invoke the attention of the Administrators.

Every room, either dorm, or single room, has a Inter-Comm system(s) that is something like a personal computer of sorts given to you by the school, it is also attuned to send messages to students within their dorms. Students can also take it with them, and usually have a physical kindle to open it up in class, though you aren't required to bring it or even keep it.

If you don't have an Inter-Comm, or are too far for a message to be sent using said system, an android will be deployed to send you this message, and they will invariably find you somehow (androids are just annoying like that.) Most of them attend to the janitorial services of the school though, and tend to be quite curios about human behavior, nonetheless they are typically as friendly(?) as any A.I.

Fuel Sources

Image

In previous decades when Anthemia lacked the source of fuel that they use now, it was largely a steam based society. Which means that you might see some relics of that society in the older parts of the city. Later though, as steam power proved itself to be inefficient, an industrial revolution of sorts came along. A new source was needed. Some genius-- that students learn of in their middle school years --came along and crafted a very simple form of energy.

The energy is something reminiscent to magick in that it flows and is renewable in nearly any format. The name for this particular energy is still largely undecided, but the people call it's application and study, Thaumaturgy. This energy does not only flow easily but it's properties allow it to be easily distributed through a system, unlike magick. So if there was a collection of machinery assigned to do one job, this energy could provide for it, and it only needed to be provided by a human, just a small wick of their energy could equate to several weeks of work by machinery. Which means there are specific humans, paid by the government mainly, who use part of their energy to power and maintain the entirety of the city's energy. Also, it's easy for anyone to replicate as well, so it's commonly used by Scholar's to power their inventions should they need it.

There are other sources of energy availale around the world as well.In Ura, the desert wastes, there are crystals that contained pure, and un-tampered magical essences that can be used as fuel in place of humans. In various areas of the country, people are paid to mine for the gems. Leviathan, Anima, and Anthemia have a part in the development of this energy the crystals harness, but something is keeps them from being able to patent and use it. In Leviathan, the aquatic stronghold, there are hydrothermal vents that can be used to power their city, found within the deepest parts of their land. Though, it isn't as potent as Thaumaturgy energy and is very dangerous for humans to be near considering it's incredible temperature. Anima relies on the same energies as Anthemia.
