Apartment 5B

ImageMarie Casanova
Holly definitely likes Marie. The girl seems to genuinely be interested in what Holly has to say, and rarely ever gets fed up with her or says that she's not in the mood to hangout.

ImageChanel Owens
Like Brooklyn, Chanel has a lot of "stuff" that Holly likes. It doesn't take much to interest her, so all it takes is a new bracelet or little trinket that Chanel has bought herself for Holly to be intrigued. Much to Makayla's dismay, Holly finds herself looking at and through Chanel's things, sometimes more than welcomed. Regardless, she finds Chanel to be very interesting and cool.

ImageMakayla Wright
Makayla was the first person that was ever good to Holly, so it goes without saying that she really loves her. Even since leaving their home, hitting the streets and then moving into the apartment, Makayla has always stayed with her. She didn't leave her in foster care, and even though she does get tired of her sometimes, she rarely shows it enough for Holly to take the hint. Holly definitely pushes Kay's buttons, sometimes even on purpose, but Makayla is the only family that Holly has ever had, and she loves her indefinitely.

Apartment 5C

ImageCaraline Forrester
Whenever Makayla goes out and doesn't want to bring Holly with her, Holly will generally be left with Cara. She's fine with this, since she finds Cara to be fun, interesting, and most of all, generous. With Cara, she know she can buy the shoes she likes in a store or order whatever she wants on the menu when they go out to eat. Cara rarely says no to her, is always very patient and never makes Holly feel like a burden.

ImageRyan Forrester
Holly thinks Ryan is the nicest boy she's ever met. Even though he doesn't possess the level of patience that Cara has with her, she appreciates Ryan sometimes taking interest in hanging out with her, and she definitely has a crush on him.

ImageNick Moreno
Nick has always been kind to Holly, and Makayla likes him as well, so Holly likes him. Their relationship is like hers with most - where she'll talk and talk and talk, and in his case, he's usually nice enough to entertain her thoughts.

ImageBrooklyn West
Holly definitely likes Brooklyn, but she doesn't get to see her as much as she gets to see Marie and Chanel. She sees Brooklyn when she's in Cara's apartment while Makayla's out, usually, and when she does, she takes advantage of looking at all of Brooklyn's clothes and makeup, and trying to talk to her as much as possible. Brooklyn is probably one of the people that Holly is most interested in dealing with.

ImageRoman Killens
Roman is okay. Holly would talk his ear off like she would anyone else. His tattoos are usually enough of a conversation piece to keep her going for a few minutes, until Cara or Makayla take a hold of her attention again. She's rarely interacting with him alone, so there relationship isn't really anything more than Holly talking a lot about nothing, and him either nodding along, or hinting to whoever else in the room that they need to get her to leave him alone.

Roman Killens | Twenty-One | Apartment 5C

Apartment 5A

ImageCollin King
Since he's rooming with Isaac, Roman knows Collin a bit. Not to the extent to where he'd say they're best friends, but he seems enough to where Roman wouldn't feel uncomfortable or confused if they were to talk in the hall for a second. From the times they have interacted, Collin seems to be a bit more extroverted than Roman is, but it doesn't really rub him the wrong way like it usually would. Perhaps it's because the guy also seems to just be into things for the fun of it, or because he invited him to a party once, or even simply because he's friends with Isaac too. Regardless of the reason, despite not hanging out all that often, he considers the guy to be pretty okay and un-troublesome.

Image(Daniel Sharman FC)
Relationship description

ImageIsaac Rankin
He's a cool guy that Roman chills with here and there. Their first interaction wasn't all too memorable, not just because Roman was too high to really remember any of their short conversation that really only consisted of Isaac asking him where he'd gotten whatever he was on that night. Small blemishes of conversations pursued after that, but nothing until some time later when they had another encounter. Finding Roman after a bad fight and nearly too high to function, Isaac invited him back to his place where they just chilled. Now over the past months, their relationship has been defined by just hanging on Isaac's fire escape. Although a majority of the time he's on something when in Isaac's presence, he would still consider Isaac a friend. He's allowed to connect with someone while still being distant. To many, that wouldn't qualify as friend material, and maybe it shouldn't, but Roman appreciate the guy's nature and his hospitality and he's one of the few people that Roman doesn't mind.

Apartment 5B

ImageMarie Casanova
Roman first saw Marie a couple of times in the hall. A couple of words were exchanged here and there, but nothing extensive. It wasn't until they were at the same party one night and went back to the apartment where one thing led to another. As of now, they're basically in a purely physical relationship, although one could consider them friends-with-benefits. Sometimes they go to parties together, and if they don't go home with somebody else, they might go back home with each other.

ImageChanel Owens
Roman only knows Chanel by association with Marie. Because he's over at the apartment sometimes and they live on the same floor, they've inevitably crossed paths. She seems nice enough and has even tried to strike up a conversation when he hasn't been able to escape back to his room before being seen, but he would really only consider her an acquaintance if that and doesn't plan on getting to know her.

ImageMakayla Wright
Having really only known her on the surface due to her connection with Nick, Roman considered her a basic stranger. Just someone's face and name he knew. Now that he sees her a bit more often what with Holly being over at the apartment a bit, and with him being at their apartment as well, he wouldn't see her as a stranger anymore, but really a friend either. She seems to keep to her own and doesn't do the unnecessary chatter like Chanel does. So if he ever sees her in the hall, he'll usually give her a nod and a hello, maybe a few extra words, and should he see her while he's in the apartment, he won't feel the need to duck quick like he does when he runs into Nelly. All in all, she's never given him any problems, so he doesn't mind her.

ImageHolly Maddon
This one is...something. He wouldn't say he dislikes Holly per say, but he sure as hell would say she's way too much for him. That doesn't mean he isn't nice to her, and especially with her frequently he sees her and his need to stay on good terms with Cara less he not want a place to say, he tolerates her as much as he can. He doesn't enjoy her inability to pick up on the cues he's pretty certain he gives her when it comes to crossing boundaries. If he's high, he can tolerate her for longer, but if he's crashed or just not in the mood, he's a bit snappier. He's noticed that movies actually shut her up for a good bit, so if she really is being too much, he won't hesitate to put one on in hopes of distracting her. All in all, he wouldn't say he dislikes Holly since it is kind of hard to, but he doesn't seek her company to say the least.

Apartment 5C

ImageCaraline Forrester
If there's one person he has a real problem with, it's Cara. He favors few people, and he's bad with expressing that too openly to where people think he doesn't like them when it actuality he just doesn't have any opinion of them. Cara is of the handful he truly does not like, and it shows. It's clear she gets under his skin and the girl seems to just have it out for him. While she was never his favorite person, he was never going to act on it. With all that money, he'd think she could get someone to get the stick out her ass. While he doesn't like Cara for her personality and the way she seems to be after him, he especially hates that she can actually get a reaction out of him. He'll get into arguments with her sooner than he will with anyone else. They aren't in a good place, and while he doesn't intentionally try to step on her toes, he'll admit that sometimes he will do things just to get a reaction out of her, as payback for being a terrible roommate. He tries to behave, though, since she's letting him stay in her apartment and everything, but he's sure she wouldn't hesitate to kick him out if things got really bad (as if they weren't already).

ImageRyan Forrester
Roman's a smart guy, but if there's one thing he doesn't understand, it's how Cara Forrester could possibly be this kid's sister. He doesn't care for the kid not out of dislike, but just out of indifference. He can tell that Ryan is really nice though and he gets how it probably sucks to being with him (hell, even Roman doesn't like having to share a room with him). Because of that, he tries to just stay out of Ryan's way, and Ryan does the same, which Roman is all for. Besides, he's pretty much too busy feuding with his sister to really have it out for Ryan. They keep it civil and it's clear that Ryan isn't trying to have problems, and Roman isn't either. At least not anymore than he already has.

ImageNick Moreno
They met shortly after Roman was on his own. Perhaps it was due to living in one of the most undesirable places for some time, but it wouldn't take much to realize that the two are close. As they're both reserved and chill kind of guys, they're not giggling and going out with each other every waking moment, but he clicked with Nick pretty early, at least for Roman's standards. While some of that prematurity can definitely be attributed to the fact that he found out Nick was a dealer, he's formed a tight bond with Nick.

ImageBrooklyn West
He met her his first night working as a dishwasher at the strip club. After breaking up a scene of some dude getting a bit too handsy, he definitely got some flack for it since he probably 'cost her a customer.' Despite this sub par first impression, Brooke was decent enough to take her back to Finn's upon seeing some of the bruises he had on his face. It was through her that he met Nick, whom he's also very close to, and since she was the first real relationship he formed since being out on his own, he does have a soft spot for her. While her big ass mouth gets on his nerve way too frequently for his taste and can be quite tiring for him, he still enjoys their playful banter. There are times where she pushes his buttons too far and they might get into it, especially if he's in a bad mood for whatever reason (substance related or not), but they've always been able to mend whatever stupid thing they fought over. She's a pain in the ass, sure, but she's kind of like the sister he never wanted, but wouldn't want to get rid of.

Chanel Owens | Twenty-Two | Apartment 5B

Apartment 5A

ImageCollin King
It didn't take much for Chanel to notice Collin. He has a nice face, and is playful enough with the short, flirty conversations they might have in the hallway. She has a small crush on him, but not enough to act on it or anything. Plus, she's seen him at the apartment and questionable hours, and while she didn't hesitate to talk to him, she isn't trying to start drama with Marie, even if the girl doesn't seem like the type to even be into drama like that. She's not sure of the extent of his relationship with Marie, since she also sees Roman over from time to time, but she's not going to ask. Still, while it's enough to keep her from making advances, it's not enough to keep her from being a bit flirtatious and enjoying the view.

Image(Daniel Sharman FC)
Relationship description

ImageIsaac Rankin
She's not sure, but she likes Isaac. They don't know each other and have only really spoken in passing, but something about him really intrigues her. She just gets an inexplicable vibe from him that tells her he's a really nice person. It's weird enough for her to not do anything about it, but it doesn't stop her from waving at him or even complimenting a shirt he's wearing if she sees him. Strange enough, although he does look high on something on multiple occasions, it's not enough for her to dislike him the way she does with Roman (despite trying not to). Outside of maybe getting caught up on the stairwell, there's really nothing there and likely won't be.

Apartment 5B

ImageMarie Casanova
Chanel met Marie while working at the coffee shop across the street some time ago. It was there that they became acquainted which then led to them being roommates. While they were close enough to render them able to move in together and despite Nel no longer working at the coffee shop, not much have progressed outside of the old co-worker relationship. Marie seems to enjoy keeping to herself although Chanel doesn't have any problems with this. She still considers Marie a friend and will extend an invitation to her if she's going out. While she tries to take a hint, sometimes she can't fathom people not wanting to go out all the times, especially since she's used to making friends so easily.

ImageMakayla Wright
When it comes to Makayla, Chanel would say that she likes her. She's not problematic as a roommate or even just as a person. She's picked up on the fact that Makayla has a bit on her plate, what with having to juggle not only her own life but Holly's as well. Because of that, Chanel tries to be out of the way and non-intrusive, although sometimes she fails at this, especially whenever she wants someone to go out with her. She admires her for her work ethic, or which she has hardly any of her own. This is why it's not uncommon to offer her (and Holly) to go out to lunch or somewhere just because she can hardly fathom always having to be on top of your shit. And while Makayla might see herself different, Chanel really just sees her as being a busy, hardworker. Even if her offers are refused, Chanel will, without fail, try another time. Chanel doesn't have any problems with Makayla and tries not to be a problem either.

ImageHolly Maddon
While she can definitely be a bit much what with drinking her organic drinks without permission and then ultimately wasting them and her fascination with her bracelets and jewelry, Chanel works hard to not let Holly get under her skin. This work comes in the form of trying to be as patient with Holly as she can. She does genuinely like Holly and secretly feels bad when she gets annoyed with the girl. However because Holly is so talkative and Chanel enjoys being in the company of others, she doesn't ever really feel like a nuisance or that she might be being too friendly when around her.

Apartment 5C

ImageCaraline Forrester
Cara is definitely a friend, even if it isn't really for the right reasons. When Chanel's with Cara, she's allowed a bit more of the superficiality she grew up in: shopping, materialism, instragram-worthy activities, etc. Being with Cara provides her the outlet she needs because she still does miss surface-level relationships. It makes her feel like she really does deserve all things she doesn't need by giving her the sense of entitlement that Cara seems to carry around. Even if she knows the basis of the relationship isn't exactly healthy, a couple shopping trips and lunch dates with unreasonable prices never hurt anybody. And sure, she can pick up on Cara thinking that being around Chanel somehow ups her diversity game, but Chanel wouldn't expect anything less from a rich white girl from the Upper East Side. Cara's the closest thing to familiarity, even if that familiarity is what led to all the responsibility she feels towards her family's problems. It's her guilty little pleasure, and she deserves at least that, right?

ImageRyan Forrester
Relationship description

ImageNick Moreno
From her interactions with Nick, she definitely appreciates his relaxed demeanor. He really seems like a go-with-the-flow kind of guy, similar to her, but less hyperactive. He doesn't seem to mind her (arguably over-friendly) behavior what with her talkative nature and all, and he's been down to hang out on a few occasions. Like a lot of the others in the apartment, she doesn't know him all too well, but she likes him enough as a person to consider him a friend, even if he doesn't feel the same about her.

ImageBrooklyn West
Chanel knows that she came with two other guys about six months ago and she's sometimes run into Brooke while off to work at night. She's not aware of Brooke's occupation, so she just figures what with the face full of makeup at night that Brooke goes out a lot. She also knows Brooke as her plug, Nick's, girlfriend. She's friendly with her, but other than that hardly knows anything about outside of her name and where she lives. So she doesn't really have any kind of opinion on her.

ImageRoman Killens
She's seen him a few times in the hall, and while he doesn't give off the best vibe in her humble opinion, she's working on her judgmental nature. Sometimes it doesn't stop her rolling her eyes inwardly whenever she sees him high as a kite. She's not against drugs, as she's dabbled and experimented as well, but she just prefers weed and can't fathom being high as often as he seems to be. This hasn't stopped her from starting conversation if and when she ever sees him at the apartment. She's sure he doesn't like her too much because of her eagerness, but she continues to give him wide smiles if for no other reason than to conceal her unjust innate dislike for him.

Apartment 5A

Relationship description

Apartment 5B

ImageMarie Casanova
Makayla definitely likes Marie, and always had. Not even in a sexual way. That happened one night, but it wasn't like Makayla was lusting over her from day one, because honestly, she's genuinely too busy for that most of the time. There was one night, though, when she had too much to drink and the two of them just... went for it. Makalya has convinced herself that it was her fault, and that she was probably way too drunk and came on to Marie without warning, so she's tried to pretend it has never happened. She doesn't avoid Marie, just tries to act as normal and friendly as possible.

ImageChanel Owens
Makayla definitely feels lucky that the building manager stuck her with Chanel and Marie over anyone else, because she doesn't have a problem with either of the girls. Chanel is a good roommate, and that's as much as Makayla could ask for out of her. She has enough patience with Holly to not try to get them kicked out of the apartment for Holly crossing lines, she's friendly, and makes for decent conversation if for some reason, Makayla's in the mood for that. If she still felt "young", she would probably think of Chanel as someone who she could be friends with. Not in this life, but if she was born into one where she actually had time for herself.

ImageHolly Maddon
Makayla has lived with Holly for eleven years, and has been her legal guardian for around two years, following her father and Holly's mother's incarceration. Makayla hates thinking of Holly as her kid, but she's more than a sister to her at this point, especially considering the amount of work taking care of her entails. She loves Holly, there's no denying that, but she's a lot to deal with everyday, and sometimes Makayla feels like if she hadn't agreed to take custody of her, her life would be a lot easier. She could have finished getting her associate's degree, moved on to a four-year school, gotten a real job, probably moved out of the state, and just made something of herself. Now, that seems impossible, and sometimes, she wants to blame her sister for that.

Apartment 5C

ImageCaraline Forrester
Publicly, Makayla and Cara are friends. Makayla is eternally grateful for how good Cara is with Holly, and how she's always been okay with looking after the girl whenever Makayla has to work or go out on her own. Holly's a handful, so the fact that Cara's always so willing to take her on for hours, when most people can't handle her for minutes, means a lot to Makayla. Still, it's not like Makayla's blind to the fact that Cara is different from them (financially), and that she can be condescending to other people, and sometimes even them, with or without knowing. She's sick of Cara telling her how she really needs to break her smoking habits, or how she should just somehow magically convince CVS into giving her a full time job as if that will solve all of their problems. It's like she lives in this fantasy world where suddenly she knows everything just because she's wealthy. Sometimes, it makes Makayla want to slap some sense into her, but then she always remembers how Cara probably just doesn't realize that she's stepping out of line, because overall, she is a really nice girl. But then there was the time that she slept with Nick when he was with Brooklyn... and it bothered Makayla. She was probably out of line as a friend (to both Cara and Nick) for secretly telling Brooklyn, but she felt like she had to. For once, Cara wasn't just going to get away with having her cake and eating it too.

ImageRyan Forrester
They're acquaintances, and not much more. Makayla will say hello to him if she sees him, but that's as far as things go. He's Cara's brother, a college student, and according to Holly, is very nice, but that's as much as she knows.

ImageNick Moreno
A friend with weed is a friend, indeed. The drug is what started Makayla's friendship with Nick, and has been the main reason for them continuing to be friends since. When Makayla was living in a studio apartment in the building, she would still use Cara to watch Holly. One day when she was going to pick Holly up from the upstairs apartment, Nick was there, delivering weed to one of Cara's friends, and Makayla ended up taking down his number and using him as a dealer. When he moved into the building, the connection became even more useful. She helps him by holding onto his drugs whenever Cara starts making a big deal about not wanting drugs in her apartment, and he's always been good to her with complimentary weed when she's running low on money.

ImageBrooklyn West
Makayla's relationship with Brooklyn is complicated at best. Brooklyn can be spiteful, negative, dismissive and just full of bad energy in general. She can influence Holly into being more of a handful that Makayla ultimately has to deal with, and Makayla knows that the blonde does it on purpose to piss her off. At the same time, for some reason that Makayla doesn't even understand, she doesn't see Brooklyn as being a complete villain, but human. Most of the time, anyway. And it had to be one of those instances when Makayla told Brooklyn that Cara had confided in her about sleeping with Nick. It was a "take it or leave it" moment, and it's a choice that Makayla still doesn't know whether it was a good or bad one at this point, but she felt like Brooklyn deserved to know. They aren't best friends or in some relationship where they confide in each other about things though. That was a one time thing, and will likely never happen again. Overall, their relationship switches between non-existent and borderline hostile.

ImageRoman Killens
Makayla sees Roman on occasion, be it passing by in the hall, seeing him briefly in their apartment in the early hours of the morning after a night with Marie, or when she's in his apartment getting Holly from Cara. Their relationship is civil, and probably exactly where both of them want it to be. They'll politely say hello to each other and continue on their merry ways. They don't bother with small talk or pretending to be closer friends than they are. Even when they smoke together, it's usually just because Nick is there and is a mutual friend connecting them. Makayla likes Roman because he's never too much or overbearing.

Marie Casanova | Age Twenty-one | Apartment 5B

Apartment 5A

ImageCollin King
Collin and Marie are in a open relationship sort of deal. Although they don't really care for the extravagant dates. Marie doesn't commit to any person, and she isn't about to start with Collin. They will often go to the bar or to a party together and sometimes go back with each other. It is oddly similar to how her and Roman are, but Marie was a bit more invested in Collin than she does Roman. The two met one day while she was on shift, and they ended up chatting each other up, and she was invited to his house warming party, which by the end of the night they hooked up.

ImageOliver Carver
Relationship description

ImageIsaac Rankin
Isaac is an absolute dear to Marie. Well that is when they're both hungover and she's still in the apartment. Isaac and Marie aren't what you would call best friends, but they also aren't enemies. They speak here and there in those hung over mornings when Isaac is up making pancakes, which are usually a gift sent from the heavens. Marie could see Isaac potentially being a friend, but then again she prefers to be closed off and Isaac doesn't seem to mind nor pry. Marie believes more people should be like Isaac, but that isn't the case. Instead she has nosy people like Sarah her co-worker who wants to go out for a "girls" night like every night, and Marie just wants to tell her to shut the fuck up, so in short, more people need to be like Isaac. Stay to themselves and make pancakes for all to enjoy.

Apartment 5B

ImageHolly Maddon
Holly is a cutie. She's so naive and energetic that Marie can't help but laugh a bit when she's around. If it wasn't for her Marie would probably be in a worse mood than usual. Marie can't exactly confide in the sixteen year old, but she can just let her guard down and not worry too much around her. Dare Marie say it, but Holly is the closest she has to a best friend of any sort, which is kind of new for Marie because she has never had that growing up. Marie also just wants to make sure Holly never has to end up in the situation she's in. Sleeping with whoever is around or starring in low budget porn films, or even just running away from home. Holly means a lot more to Marie than Marie will let on. Only time you'll ever see Marie having any kind of emotion or feeling is when she's around Holly.

ImageChanel Owens
Chanel and Marie met while they both worked at the coffee shop awhile back. That was how they established good terms and didn't have much of a problem with each other. Eventually they got an apartment together which also led to Makayla and Holly staying with them as well. Chanel and Marie aren't the closest, but they get along and Chanel gives Marie her space which she appreciates.

ImageMakayla Wright
For the most part Kayla and Marie are just friends who didn't fight and got along with each other. However one night both of them had ended up really drunk, and one thing led to the other. Marie isn't too certain on where they stand at this point. She's still friendly to Makayla and talks to her if she sees her, just doesn't bring up the incident. Marie doesn't know how she feels and isn't sure if she wants to find out. She's afraid of rejection and being misled, because Makayla is a hot looking woman with a great personality, everything you look for in a girl, but Marie has her own baggage to still work on.

He's the one boy that lives in 5C and is in school as far as Marie knows. They aren't friends and don't talk too much, but if she sees him in the hall she will say hi and wave at him. He seems a bit shy a lot, and sometimes she'd like to help him with that, but she figures it isn't really her place. He's an adorable kid at the end of the day.

Brooklyn and Marie are quite similar, but they aren't friends. They hardly know each others names for the most part. Marie and Brooklyn see each other when checking the mail or just in the hall but other than that they don't speak at all.

ImageRoman Killens
Marie has a similar relationship with Roman as she does with Collin. Roman is more of a quick hook up and they sometimes just get trashed together. Sometimes they will even go to parties together, but usually for the purpose of hooking each other up with someone else, if they can't find anyone else and they're in the mood to get laid, well you can just assume what would happen then. Marie is often acting as a wingman to Roman, sometimes she does it without asking, but she honestly doesn't think he'd mind anyways.

Isaac Rankin || Age 23 || Apartment 5A

Apartment 5A

ImageCollin King
For awhile, Collin and Isaac were nothing but roommates, sharing space but not much else really. And then Collin decided to throw a party, Isaac dished out some of his stash, and from there on they just kind of clicked. Isaac's a private person, and he has a feeling that's part of the reason why they aren't better friends than they are, but it's nothing worth worrying over. Not to mention, Collin somehow managed to become the brother Isaac never really wanted. He drags him to family functions and tries to keep him out of trouble (which rarely works, because they're both fools for temptation). It was weird at first, made Isaac drink more than he normally does, but...he's grown to like it. Grown to love the King family as if he was always apart of it, really. It's a nice change to actually have people care about him for one. Nice enough that when the families around, Isaac backs off on the drugs a little.

Image(Daniel Sharman FC)
Relationship description

Apartment 5B

ImageMarie Casanova
The absolute only reason Isaac knows Marie is because she's banging his roommate, and sometimes they cross paths at parties. The most interaction they have is when she stumbles out of Collin's bed in the morning (which in Apartment 5A is usually around 2PM). Isaac doesn't mind her company though. They have a lot of easy conversation over pancakes and whatever hangover concoction he's mixed up. They could probably be better friends if they both weren't so private, but what they have works.

ImageChanel Owens
Isaac likes Chanel good enough. They're definitely not friends, but she makes for a good neighbor. If there's anyone he wouldn't mind getting stuck in the stairwell with, it's definitely her. He likes just about anyone who will throw a smile his direction, and she never seems to smile. Also, she components his shirts sometimes, and really who doesn't need that in their lives?

ImageCaraline Forrester

ImageRyan Forrester
Honestly Isaac hardly even knows Ryan's name, which is just as well. He looks like a good kid, seems friendly enough. Isaac waves sometimes if they see each other in the hall, but that's about it.

ImageNick Moreno
Fact: Isaac has a drug problem. Fact: Nick sells weed. Fact: Isaac likes that a lot.
Isaac outsources for most of his drugs, because he takes so much so often, but that also means he runs low pretty quickly and lord, he hates to be sober. Nick's a chill dude, and easy to go to when he's in need of a quick fix. He's probably more of a regular costumer than either of them would like, but hey, life happens.

ImageBrooklyn West
Isaac doesn't know Brooklyn at all, but he knows of her. She's probably the one person he doesn't wave at or smile to because of her obviously standoffish persona. He's also heard some pretty vicious words come out of her mouth and has absolutely no desire to be the source of her annoyance. He'll just stay out of her way, thanks.

ImageRoman Killens
Honestly, Isaac noticed Roman long before he ever worked up the courage to talk to him, because who wouldn't notice that face? In fact, it was kind of an accident when he finally did speak, because Roman was blasted and Isaac was sober and jealous as hell. It kind of started a thing, though. Just a few short words whenever they managed to pass in the hallways. Until that night Roman came home and couldn't even figure out how to get in his apartment.
His crush has died down a little bit, since actually getting to know Roman. He really likes the guy's company. They can both just chill and there's no judgement or expectations there. They're usually both high, but that makes it almost better sometimes. At least, Roman won't give him 'the look' when Isaac asks where his feet are or if he happens to be floating. It's nice, and Isaac considers him a good friend.

Collin King | Twenty-three | Apartment 5A

Apartment 5A

Image
Oliver Carver
Collin and Oliver are friends. Despite the fact that they live together, the two actually interact on a daily basis. They don't seem like the type to be friends, and it's probably the reason why they're not best friends, but the two get along. They are different on certain levels but they share their similarities. Those are the things that bind the two together; like their love for their families, or their need for quiet, peaceful moments when things get too stressful. The guy share a room too, which is probably only causing them to get closer and closer.

Image
Isaac Rankin
Isaac and Collin are pretty good friends. They talk every once and awhile about life, death, family and so forth. Although, Collin has noticed that Isaac doesn’t really have a lot to say when it comes to family. As a result, Collin has sort of taken Isaac under his wing and has considered him part of his family. He watches over Isaac and tries his best to keep him out of trouble, although sometimes the two are getting into trouble together.

Apartment 5B

Image
Marie Casanova
Collin and Marie are a thing. If that could even be said of what they actually are. The two will go out with each other, they’ll go to parties and bars, then they’ll go home – either together or not. Collin and Marie have a sort of open relationship. Although, Collin wouldn’t commit enough to anything to call it a relationship. He prefers to call it a ‘mutual booty call.’ He wouldn’t take her on an extravagant date or anything of the sort because that’s just not what they’re about.

Image
Chanel Owens
Chanel and Collin don’t have a relationship, much less could they be considered friends. However, she is someone that Collin has had the pleasure of running into in the halls every now and again. He flirts, she flirts, but they haven’t really established much of a relationship outside of that. Collin doesn’t even think he knows her name to be honest. He just knows her as that cute girl that lives with the girl he’s fucking. That sounds crude, but it’s the truth. Every now and then when Collin is sneaking out of the apartment he’ll catch her in the shared space and he’ll talk to her for a few minutes before escaping the dreaded cuddle after sex. He likes her, but perhaps not enough to do something about.

Brooklyn West
Brooklyn is a tough cookie to crack, and because of it, Collin is constantly trying to get what he can't have. Not so much the fact that he wants to date Brooklyn or hook up with her, but he just wants to be able to get under her skin enough so that she'll give him more than a death stare in the halls when they pass each other. He knows that deep down somewhere in the black pit she calls her soul there has to be a heart, it's just a matter of finding it.

Image
Roman Killens
There isn’t a deep friendship between Roman and Collin. Mostly they see each other in the halls, or at parties, and they say hey. They first met when Collin first moved in, like most did, because he threw a home warming party with a lot of his friends from work. He invited whoever he could on such short notice and Roman was one of those people that happened to drop by momentarily. They aren’t the greatest or closest of friends since neither one really knows nothing of the other – they’re more the type of guys to invite each other to parties and then go about their way.

Image
Oliver Carver | Twenty-two | Apartment 5A

Apartment 5A

Image
Collin King
Over the months, Ollie has opened up to some degree to Collin. The two share a room so it became inevitable that they would discuss their lives but through all of those late night talks, Collin in a way became the brother that Oliver had always wanted. The two have grown increasingly close, and despite the fact that everyone has their secrets, Oliver is open to discussing his personal life with Collin. Collin is often the type of guy to speak some sense into Oliver – trying to get him to break out of his shell, or speak up for himself more, or to relax. He appreciates the friendship the two boys share and is grateful to have a friend like Collin.

Image
Isaac Rankin
Of course living together is going to cause a basic relationship, but that doesn’t always mean it’s a good one. Thank goodness for Oliver, he didn’t get stuck with anybody he didn’t like. He and Isaac aren’t as close as he and Collin are or as Isaac and Collin are, but their friendship is still a great one. Isaac and Oliver get along quite well, in fact. The two often have conversations about standing up for themselves, about their shared passion for art, and about other aspects of life that generally sparks Oliver’s curiosity.

Apartment 5B

Image
Marie Casanova
Oliver and Marie are actually fairly close. They have become the sort of friends that lean on each other when times are tough, and lend a hand whenever the other needs one. Both have trust issues to some degree, and as a matter of that, they have come to the mutual agreement of trusting each other. Oliver really likes having Marie around because it makes him feel especially close to someone, and that’s what he needs right now in his life.

Image
Chanel Owens
Oliver and Chanel are friendly, mostly bonding, however, on the fact that their roommates are having sex with each other. First meeting out in the hall when Oliver was trying to escape the sexcapades, Chanel and Oli became friendly to each other and thus began a friendship between the two. They aren’t best friends, or even the closest of friends, but they do have a good friendship with each other so there’s nothing to complain about. .

Image
Caraline Forrester
Caraline and Oliver aren’t the closest friends by any means but that’s not to say the two don’t get along. They’re friendly towards each other to a certain extent. Oliver and Ryan are a lot closer, just as Caraline and Collin are a lot closer. They see each other in the halls and they say hello, Cara seems accepting of him whenever he’s over hanging out with Ryan, as well. So there isn’t a lot there, but it’s not as though the friendship is entirely absent.

Image
Ryan Forrester
Ryan and Oliver first met a year ago in a lecture hall which they shared. They quickly became friends as they realized they were a lot alike and shared some interests. The friendship only became stronger when both boys realized that not only do they live in the same building, but they live on the same floor. The two are quite close and are exceptional friends to one another.

Oliver doesn't get the best of vibes from Roman. He doesn't quite know what it is since the guy has never given Ollie a reason not to like him, but something about Roman makes Oliver want to always keep his distance from him. He feels sort of bad about it because had there been a reason why Oliver didn't like Roman, he'd feel as though his skepticism towards the guy would at least, be somewhat justified. But to not like the guy for no specific reason makes Ollie feel like kind of an asshole, but nonetheless, Oliver keeps his distance from Roman.

Brooklyn West | 23 years old | Apartment 5C

Apartment 5C

ImageCollin King
Had Collin not been so friendly, Brooklyn would have lived next door to him without ever saying a word to him. He's good looking and he seems to have a fun personality, but she wasn't and still isn't looking for friends. She doesn't want to be forced to say hello to people or make small talk in the hallways. If she had it her way, he would have just been another stranger in the building, but Collin is friendly, and well, Brooklyn tried to make it clear that she wasn't interested in anything at first. She rejected invitations to come to his parties, and insisted that she had a boyfriend, but he kept being friendly, and her responses developed into a banter with him, where she's frequently telling him to fuck off (though it's usually a little bit more playful than she'd like to admit).

Image(Daniel Sharman FC)
Relationship description

ImageIsaac Rankin
Brooklyn doesn't know him. She knows of him, and she'd recognize his face as one of the guys who live next door, but she doesn't know him well and doesn't have any reason to. He hangs out with Roman sometimes, and she'd imagine that Nick knows him better than her, but she doesn't care to know him any better. At this point, she doesn't have any problems with him as a neighbor though, so they're neutral in her eyes.

Apartment 5B

ImageMarie Casanova
Relationship description

ImageChanel Owens
As far as Brooklyn knows, she's just another girl who lives in the apartment building. She apparently lives with Makayla and Holly, so Brooke wold give her credit for putting up with that hell on a daily basis. She thinks Nick has sold weed to her once or twice, but that's nothing abnormal for most people in the building. Aside from that, she doesn't know much about her, considering that Brooklyn isn't the type of person to really try and create friendships with strangers.

ImageMakayla Wright
Brooklyn and Makayla aren't friends. For a while, they were close to enemies, actually. Brooklyn is always getting bothered by Holly and she doesn't hesitate to share how unfit she thinks Makayla is as a guardian for the girl. However, she's laid off with the snippy comments lately. A lot of it does have to do with the fact that Makayla was the person who let her know that Nick had slept with Cara. Regardless of Makayla's motives behind it, she has to appreciate being told by someone that she was never that nice to.

ImageHolly Maddon
Brooklyn will tell you that she can't stand Holly. She's loud, intrusive, naive, and too touchy-feely for Brooklyn to feel comfortable around. Brooklyn likes to complain, so Holly being so bothersome is just an easy complaint. At the same time, and sometimes you'll notice it, Brooklyn has a little bit of a soft spot for her. She's innocent, and pure and hasn't been damaged by the world, and that's admirable. Holly can make anyone smile, and though Brooke sometimes has too much of a hangover or just an attitude to want to deal with, her cheeriness is sometimes endearing.

Apartment 5C

ImageCaraline Forrester
When Brooklyn first met Cara, she thought the girl had the potential to be a friend. She knew Cara was wealthy, she was pretty, she knew how to shop, and she could party. It seemed like Brooklyn would get along with her seamlessly. What Brooke things now made the deal even better, was that at the time, Cara had a boyfriend. Remove that guy from the occasion, and Cara apparently became a backstabbing slut, because hours after she and Nick broke up after one of their very regular fights, she slept with Nick. Brooklyn's longtime boyfriend. Brooklyn is pissed at herself for underestimating Cara and thinking she could be friends with someone like her, but before she lets Cara and Nick know that she knows about their little night together, she's trying to figure Cara out fully, and figure out what she can do to ruin the girl as an act of vengeance.

ImageRyan Forrester
Up until now, Ryan has always been someone who Brooklyn was neutral with. He's always quiet around her and seems to mind his business more than his sister. He always seemed like a nice kid, with kid being an important word. Now that she knows that Cara slept with Nick, Ryan seems like a nice target for payback, and lucky for him, Brooklyn wants to play on the same field that Cara played on with Nick.

ImageNick Moreno
Brooklyn has been dating Nick for a few years, and really, ever since the beginning, it was rocky. It's always been a volatile relationship, and she can't blame Nick for that. The majority of the aggression comes from her, but in her mind, it's only because he doesn't put as much effort into the relationship as her. When they were living in a basement, basically homeless, he refused to get a real job to help them afford a real apartment. Sure, she could have put aside more of her money to cover the cost, but she didn't want to compromise, like she doesn't want to do on most things. Maybe she's always had too high of expectations set for Nick, and she never hesitates to pull the "I could do so much better than you" card in a fight. To have stayed with him this long when she does think she could do better speaks to the fact that she really does love him. Or at least she did before he fucked Cara, but that's a whole other story.

ImageRoman Killens
Roman's like a brother to Brooklyn. He gets on her nerves sometimes, but he's always there if she needs someone, and it's something she appreciates. She doesn't always verbalize that appreciation, but it does exist.

Cara gets along well with Chanel, because they have a lot of shared, superficial interests. Chanel knows how to shop, she knows how to do cute lunch dates, and she knows how to be a friend worthy of an occasional social media photo post. It's not like it's all superficial - Cara genuinely finds the girl to be friend material, but at the same time, it's like she feels like she could be friend material. They aren't at that level where they're genuinely besties or anything yet.

ImageMakayla Wright
From Cara's point of view, she and Makayla get along well. She does recognize that she's doing Kay a big favor by constantly helping out with Holly, so she wouldn't imagine that there would ever be any reason for Makayla to be bothered by her. She definitely wouldn't suspect that Makayla would betray her by telling Brooklyn about the confession she made regarding her hookup with Nick.

ImageHolly Maddon
Cara never saw herself as the kind of person who would get along well with kids, but Holly has brought out a patient side to Cara that she never even knew she had. She likes the way that looking after Holly makes her feel useful in a way that her job at the coffee shop never has. In general, Holly is fun and there's always something going on with her, so it's easy to be entertained when she's around.

Apartment 5C

ImageBrooklyn West
Cara genuinely did, and does, like Brooklyn. They were good friends for a while, but even during this, Cara had a thing for Nick. You could call it lust at first. Nick is clearly attractive, and he always had this bad boy vibe to him with his drug dealer career. Match that with his down to earth vibes, and Cara was intrigued. Was it wrong for her to sleep with him when she knew that Brooklyn was basically still in a relationship with him (because break or not, it still broke girl code)? Absolutely. Does she regret it? Not so much. She doesn't know that Brooklyn knows about what she did with Nick, so she tries to keep their relationship normal, but she does feel guilty about it when she's interacting with Brooklyn. She just can't bring herself to stop wishing that she could get rid of Brooklyn and have Nick all to herself, though.

ImageRyan Forrester
Cara loves her brother, but there relationship is a typical brother-sister one, where they tend to get on each other's nerves a lot. Cara was always the bossier of the two. Whether it was because she was older, or because Ryan has a more relaxed personality, she doesn't know, but she's used to getting her way, and that goes with when her brother is involved as well. She doesn't mind picking on him, but she won't tolerate anyone else being mean to him.

ImageNick Moreno
Cara doesn't know what she feels for Nick. She knows that it's not love, but it's something. They've slept together once, a few hours after Nick and Brooklyn broke up on a whim after one of their frequent fights, but after just that one night, she knows she wants more. She does, however, recognize that there's a possibility that this is just her wanting someone so someone else can't have it. It goes back to how she's never really been told no in her life, and how she needs to get her way, but she doesn't know if her desire to have him for herself is solely fueled by that, or by lust, or by actual feelings. She doesn't know, but she knows that in some sense., be it physically, sexually or emotionally, she does want him.

ImageRoman Killens
He's definitely not Cara's type, she knows that much. Be it his grungy appearance, his tendency to get high (and for some reason, when he does it, it's trashy, compared to the edgy light she sees a high/drunk Nick in). She just doesn't like him, and she doesn't care to hide it anymore. Honestly, Cara doesn't see herself letting him live with them for much longer. Maybe it has something to do with how she wants to kick Brooklyn out too, so she can have Nick to herself, but she won't admit that. For now, Roman's just a pain in the ass.

Nick likes Chanel. They're friends, but it's nothing too deep. He'll sell her weed sometimes, and every so often they'll grab a bite to eat together if they catch each other in the hallway.

ImageMakayla Wright
She's undoubtedly Nick's favorite client, even though client probably isn't the best word considering that he gives her weed for free, more than she actually pays for it. It's not something he minds though, because a lot of the time when he's sharing marijuana with her, they'll smoke it together, and he finds her to have a really interesting mind. Maybe it's just because both of them are usually high when really conversing, but he actually really, really likes Makayla and wishes that they had a reason to become better friends sober.

ImageHolly Maddon
Nick would mind Holly a lot more if he had to live with her. The fact that they live in separate spaces, and he only has to take her in doses when she's over with Cara makes her a lot more bearable, and makes her charm less likely to wear off. Nick doesn't mind her in small doses, and especially when he reminds himself that she's Makayla's sister, and that he needs to be nice. He does his best to entertain Holly, but he doesn't have any experience dealing with kids (even though she's not technically a kid) so he's never volunteering to take care of her on his own.

Apartment 5C

ImageBrooklyn West
Nick and Brooklyn met a few years ago, and he's been in love with her since. It hasn't always been red roses and chocolates, but it's been true love nonetheless. Their relationship is definitely rocky, and a lot of the time, Nick feels like Brooklyn is the worst drug he's ever been addicted to. It's like when they're good, they're really, really good and he can't get enough of her, but when they're bad, the screaming and fighting makes him wish he were dead. The amount of times that they've called it quits, only to have makeup sex hours later and act like its never counted is an insurmountable number. Three weeks ago, though, that happened, Nick ended up drinking way too much, and he slept with Cara. Technically speaking, he and Brooklyn weren't together at the time, but with them, it definitely still counts as cheating, especially since they made up the next morning, and Nick still hasn't confessed to it. He just wants things to be good with Brooklyn, but now he feels like he's in too deep with Cara and doesn't know what to do.

ImageRyan Forrester
Nick and Ryan are on good terms. He knows that it was more of a sacrifice on his part to let him, Roman and Brooklyn move in that it was for Cara, considering she still has her own room and Nick was her friend, and not Ryan's, so he tries to be extra courteous when Ryan's around.

ImageCara Forrester
Anyone with eyes would tell you that Cara's an attractive girl. To a guy like Nick, who's never known real money, the fact that she's rich as hell makes her even more attractive. He had always liked her because of that, and because he thought she was a fun girl, but he never thought that he'd end up in bed with her. Apparently, alcohol and bitterness towards Brooklyn made him think she was that much more hotter, because he slept with her, and now he doesn't know what he feels towards her, how to act around her, or what to do. They've agreed to keep it a secret to protect everyone but he doesn't think that they can do that forever, especially when he senses that she wants an explanation for what that night was, and he doesn't have an answer.

ImageRoman Killens
Roman could easily be called Nick's best friend. Both of them are simple and non-demanding in terms of a friendship, so they aren't constantly together and could sit in a room in complete silence, to a point where you would think they didn't even know each other, and be perfectly content. That's probably what made Nick like Roman to begin with. He's not hard to keep up with and isn't dramatic.

Ryan Forrester | 19 years old | Apartment 5C

Apartment 5A

ImageCollin King
Relationship description

Image(Daniel Sharman FC)
Relationship description

ImageIsaac Rankin
Aside from the fact that he lives across the hall, RJ doesn't know much about Isaac at all. He thinks that he's seen him with Roman a few times, and that probably means that he isn't the greatest person, but he doesn't know much more about him than that.

Apartment 5B

ImageMarie Casanova
Any teenage boy living in a building with a girl like her is going to feel... lucky... blessed... interested. Basically, Marie is hot, and Ryan thinks you would have to be blind not to notice it. If he knew she did porn, you can bet your life savings that he'd spend the rest of the year on his computer trying to find those videos. However, he's shy and knows that she would never be into a kid like him, so he just likes to admire her from afar. If they ever end up in a conversation, his cheeks are likely to burn up and his train of thought will disappear, resulting in him looking like a complete idiot.

ImageChanel Owens
RJ likes Chanel, but he also doesn't know her very well. She's friends with his sister, and considering Cara's incredibly high standards, that has to say something about their similarities in their upbringings or something, so RJ automatically feels like he can be more relaxed around her. Still, they aren't very close, so their relationship will extend to a friendly conversation every now and then, but not much beyond that.

ImageMakayla Wright
Ryan doesn't know Makayla very well. His sister says that she's really nice but has a drug habit that she needs to drop. As far as he's concerned, she has a lot on her plate with Holly, and anyone who can put up with that deserves to use whatever vice they choose to get by. It's clear that Makayla's life isn't very easy, but he doesn't know her well enough to try to help or ever offer her advice.

ImageHolly Maddon
Holly seems like a nice girl. She's obviously got some issues going on, since a lot of the time, she acts more like a ten year old than a sixteen year old, but she's always really nice, so Ryan has no complaints. Sometimes she can be overbearing, but he tries not to mind. He has a feeling like she's been subjected to bullying in her life (probably more likely in the form of actual abuse) so he can relate with that at least to some degree, and tries not to make her life any more painful.

Apartment 5C

ImageBrooklyn West
Brooklyn absolutely scares RJ. She seems mean and snippy and short, and combined with the way she's heard her scream at Nick like she was about to stab him, he's learned to avoid eye contact with her. She's definitely really attractive, and that edge to her makes her even more attractive, but he does his best to never get in her way because she does scare him.

His sister is his biggest enemy, but also his best friend. Growing up with Cara, Ryan has seen her at her best and at her worst, so he knows that behind the selfish, entitled brat that she often comes across as, is a girl who's also very generous, very caring, and a very good friend. He wishes she would think before she would open her mouth or act sometimes, but he's come to terms with this just being how his sister is. That doesn't mean that he doesn't get fed up with it very often, and he does try to influence her into being a better person, but he knows that it's not likely to happen.

Ryan doesn't use drugs or drink. He doesn't judge people for using them, really, but it's not like he wants to be friends with people who do that either. The idea of Nick storing and dealing drugs from his apartment absolutely did not go over well with Ryan, and he continues to tell Cara that he's going to tell their dad if it continues. Call it childish, but unlike a lot of these people, Ryan actually has a future and he doesn't want any of them to ruin it for him. As a person, Nick isn't bad and he seems to mind his own business, but his "career choice" and the fact that he's running it out of their apartment, makes it impossible for Ryan to actually like him.

If Ryan wanted a roommate, he would have done what average college students do, and moved into the NYU dorms. He didn't want one, and that was why he agreed to move into this apartment with his sister. It still allowed him to be independent from the house he grew up in, but with the privacy he desired. Then, out of the blue, Cara declared that three other people were moving into their apartment, and suddenly he had to share his bedroom with someone. He absolutely hated the idea and still does, but he does his best not to take it out on Roman, because the guy does his best to stay out of his way, and Ryan tries to do the same.
