"This, is the time I show you all what true victory looks like..."
"I am the guy you don't want to mess with, really. I know the forests inside and out. Want to know why? I was born and raised in District 12. I was taught to live for myself and fight for what I believe in. Oh and you know what I believe in? Winning. That is the only thing I will believe in now for the Hunger Games. I know people disregard District 12, but guess what? This is not going to be another loss for District 12. This will be another win. I know it and I believe it to be true. People might say I am naive for signing up for tessarae, but that's the only way I can survive... I guess that brought me here. Trying to survive as much as I can brings me to a show that you must show how long you can survive. And guess what? I came prepared... I am ready Hunger Games. I can see my opponents now and I'll tell you one thing before I take my leave.
I.. Will... Not... Lose..."

Fears:
Has learned to cope with many of his fears as they all challenged him throughout his life, so he survived with them trailing behind. He has no fears other than dreaming of his parents. It usually brings bad luck the day he wakes up from that dream.
When Axel was young, just a new-born, his mother died from giving birth without the right medical equipment to help her. His father raised him until he was about five years old. By then, his father had given up on life and turned to face Axel and said to him one thing that Axel has been treasuring for all his life.
"Don't be like us. Don't be like your parents, survive. Don't give up like we did. You keep on pushing no matter what pain resides in your body. You push through it and fight it. Mental and physically. You fight it, son... I love you... Don't fail us like we failed you..."
Minutes later, Axel heard a loud pop coming from his father's room. He found his father, the father layed on a chair motionless. Blood splattered on the wall. Axel turned the chair around to see a bullet had been shot through his head, a revolver in the father's hand. "I will, poppa, I will not fail you. I love you..." Axel said with tears flowing down his cheeks as he gave his deceased father one last hug good-bye. Axel grew up, remembering what his father told him, to not be like his parents, to never give up like they did, to not fail them...
This is the moment. Axel will shine through the Hunger Games and show to his parents he will not quit. He will show them that he will survive and he will not give up, no matter what wounds is inflicted on him.
Axel is determined to win. To show his parents that he will make them proud...
