Olivia had just gotten off of work and pulled into her driveway, hoping to find Nick home with Emma, helping her with her homework. When she got inside the house, she hadn't bothered looking around for Nick or Emma at the moment, instead she dropped her purse on the table by the front door and headed through the house, out the back. She sighed as she walked through the yard and up to the pier. The second she glanced down at the lake, she noticed Zoey's body, floating there, lifeless. Immediate reaction took over and she sent out a high pitched, shrieking scream, calling for Nick.

The blonde dropped down to her knees at the end of the pier and placed her head within her hands as she began crying. Zoey had been her best friend, they did everything together. Why would she do something like this? Of course at first Olivia thought it was a suicide because of the way she found her and she couldn't get that thought to escape her mind. Zoey was a great woman, she was very happy. Olivia couldn't seem to think of anything that would end up leading Zoey to her death. It just flabbergasted Olivia.

Olivia sat there and called out for her husband again, "Nick!" At that instant she stood to her feet and ran through the yard into the house, beginning to look all over for him. She needed her husband right now. Though it finally clicked. At that moment she should't have been looking for Nick, she needed to be calling the police and that was exactly what she did.

After notifying the police, she thought it would be a great idea if she phoned her brother, Chris to let him know about everything. She sighed as she calmed herself down as best as she could and dialed his number into the phone and pulled it up to her ear, waiting for Chris to answer the phone.

Nick was helping Emma with her homework when all of a sudden he heard Olivia calling for him he ran out side in the back and saw Olivia near the pier crying he went over to her and asked what was wrong but at that moment he saw the body."OH MY GOD" he hugged his wife."i am so sorry about Zoey do you know how it happened" he went inside to go make sure Emma was not looking then he came back and told her to come inside. he went to the bathroom and took a bath. when he was done he went to find his wife calling the cops he took Emma to her room and read her a book when i was done i went to the kitchen and grabbed a beer and went out side and sat on a lawn chair after a hour of siting and thinking Nick went inside."Hey Baby can we get a dog a pug please it would be fun plus the daughter needs something to do while we are busy so what do you say well think about it. so do you know who or what did this to Zoey like did she kill herself or did someone murder her do you or the cops have any idea"

Olivia sighed as she couldn't seem to get a hold of Chris. He never just doesn't answer his phone, so something has got to be up. She leaned back on the couch when she heard Nick beginning to speak to her. Honestly, she couldn't believe he would be asking about a dog at a time like this, a time where she needed him by her side, not asking about getting a dog. "Are you serious right now? I lost my best friend and you're asking me about getting a dog for Emma?" she sighed as tears fell down her cheeks before standing to her feet and walking outside to the front porch, with the phone in her hand.

Olivia redialed Chris's number, hoping he would pick up this time. She held the phone up to her ear, waiting to hear a voice on the other end of the line.

Chris just got home from work when he heard his phone ringing when he got to the phone it said his battery had just died he thought it might be important so he but he phone in the charger while he was waiting for it to charge he jumped into the shower.

While he was in the shower he heard the phone ring again but this time it was his home phone he didn't know what to do he was drenched in water from his shower so he grabbed his towel and wrapped it around his waist, while he was walking to the phone he saw his neighbor he couldn't believe that she was watching his so he walked to the windows and closed the curtains as he was on his way to the phone he got back on the path to the phone he started walking faster he didn't want it to stop ringing when he got to the phone he picked it up and said "Hello who's this?" once he said that he heard a girl crying on the other end he didn't know what it meant so when the girl hung up he was really worried so he called the police station for a little favor to trace the phone call.

Chris waited for the call from the police station to find out where the phone call was coming from and who called him while he was thinking waiting by the phone the phone rang it was the police station they were calling about the trace when they said it was coming from the beach the caller was Olivia Wilmington. Chris was scared she was crying and was worried something might have happened so he went and got dressed and decided he would go and see what was going on with Olivia.

As Chris was in the car he was worried of what he would see or what had happened that had brought Olivia to crying he couldn't stop thinking of what he would see if it would be bad or if it would be worse then bad like horrible what if he couldn't handle it what if somebody was dying when he thought of all these bad things and thought the word what means nothing by it's self of if by it self but put it together and you got this disaster that can't be stopped and he just wished it would just go away why would things have to change he just kept driving.

When Chris arrived at the beach he saw Nick and Olivia on there knees crying but he had no idea what they were doing and where was their daughter or Zoey then he saw what had happened he just stood there not knowing what to do.

Olivia jumped to her feet and ran towards Chris when she seen him pull into the driveway. "Zoey is dead, the police are on their way," she stated to him in a saddened tone as she continued crying. She wrapped her arms around him in complete reaction, but realized that everything was starting to feel uncomfortable. This was the first time she had been this close to Chris. She sighed and backed away from him, releasing him from the hug. Honestly, Olivia hadn't known what came over her, other than the sadness and constant wanting of someone to comfort her.

Nick meant well, but for some reason he just couldn't seem to grasp onto the fact that she needed the comfort in this situation, not to forget about it.

Chris couldn't believe of who he saw in the water it was his sister they way she looked is as if she did it by herself but he couldn't believe his little sis would try to kill herself she had so much life she was amazing everyone loved her all he could put through his head is that she was dead there was nothing he could do he would have to move on without his sister what would he do without her she was the glue he was only paper but now all he felt like was a darn stick of rubber as he kept thinking he saw how Olivia was running towards him she didn't know what she was going to do to him but all of a sudden Olivia ran up to Chris, Chris was a little uncomfortable but at this moment he would have hugged anyone.

The hug was lasting for quite sometime and Chris didn't know when it would end all he knew was that if he would let go he would fall into a million pieces Olivia was the only thing keeping him off the ground from falling or screaming he just couldn't take it.

Emma was with her dad doing her homework now you see Emma rather do her homework with Mommy cause Daddy teaches mean and unfair so as she was doing her homework Emma said "Daddy, Mommy just fell on the ground is she alright" though she felt said for Mommy she was also very happy cause she got out of doing her homework so once daddy left Emma went up to her room to play with her barbies when she heard someone pull in the driveway.


Emma was feeling scared but then she saw it was Uncle Chris who stepped out of the car when she saw he came empty handed with no gift Emma felt sad but instantly knew something was wrong cause he always had brought her gifts so she cleaned up all her toys and went downstairs where she saw Mommy was hugging Uncle Chris something must be wrong she thought when she tried to open the door it was locked and right away knew Daddy had locked her in Stupid daddy and she started to bang on the door.

"so so sorry for asking i was just trying to change the subject sorry"he sat down and felt really bad for what he said he smiled at Olivia he sat with her for a few minutes then he ran up to Emma's room he forgot all about her so he ran right to her where he found her playing barbies he sighed in relief while he was up there he went to his room to lie down and every minute he was thinking of how Zoey died or why he wanted a dog again after about 2 Hours before he got up and went to see if Emma was still in her room but she was not but he knew that she must be with her mother after he just went back to the room




After along time in his bed thinking about stuff he got up and stretched he felt like his head would fall off into lava. he slept like a rock he walked slowly sown the stairs because he felt like he would just fall over."Olivia Emma where are you guys
he ran all around the house did not find then any where so after that he sat on the table and sat there vary vary still after for forever BAM!!!!! he woke up heeling fine no sickness all this Zoey stuff must have melted his brain after that he saw Emma in her room and still playing Barbies

Olivia knew the way she was hugging Chris seemed to make him feel better, but she just couldn't do it anymore. It all just felt uncomfortable after a few seconds. That's when she heard Emma screaming and loud banging noises. She immediately ran through the yard and into the house, up the stairs to Emma's room. "Hold on Em," she stated, noticing that the door was locked. She sighed and shook her head, she would definitely be having a talk with her father tonight.

After Olivia unlocked the door and opened it, she saw her beautiful little girl standing in front of her. She looked down at her with a soft smile, trying to keep herself from crying. Now wasn't the time to tell Emma everything that was going on, she at least wanted to wait until after the police left.

Emma had heard her Mommy coming saying "Hold on Em," Emma didn't like being locked in and she loved playing with her dolls even though she was six she knew that Daddy was only doing it to protect her from something and she really wanted to know what it was.


Emma looked at the door waiting for Mommy to come to the door. Soon Mommy was at the door she opened the door but just stood there waiting for something to happen so she went up to her mother and grabbed her legs she felt like her mother was upset about something, something horrible something bad must have happened what could have happened was worse then ever but all she knew was that she had to hold on to Mommy to comfort her.

Nick herd Emma yelling he ran so fast he could feel the wind in his hair when he got there he saw his wife next to the door."oh i am so so so so so vary sorry i locked you in there will you will you two ever forgive me for all the stuff about the dog and stuff like that okay we must stop fighting okay we all agree" he calmly went down stairs and went into the kitchen and got a glass of water after that he went to the sin and splashed himself to cool off.After he went outside and wanted to investigate at the pier he looked at the body he did not see much he felt sort of sick after that.He went slowly inside the wind was going thought his hair he opened the door and went inside and closed the door when he was inside he was thinking of what could have done this to
Zoey he was thinking and thinking so hard that he started seeing bees stinging him.After allot of thinking he fell asleep when he woke up only like 5 minutes went by it felt like this day has bean going on for a year he went to see if Emma's door was unlocked and it was so he went into his room and took a nap

Chris just stood there hugging her feeling comfort for her and for him, he looked at Olivia when she tried pulling away and felt something weird come over him like something wrong or bad had happened well it did and knowing this with tears in her eyes and his it hurt him knowing that he had lost his sister as he wiped away the tears from his eyes as heard the sirens across the street his body was feeling like it couldn't be held anymore it needed to sit down so he sat down on the porch.



Chris couldn't believe what had happened just sitting on the porch remembering all the good times he had with his sister, and Olivia and Nick he remembered when Emma was born he was allowed to hold this cute little thing he couldn't believe how cute this little thing was it was just this little perfect thing that couldn't be harmful and had such a good future ahead with his two parents a great Aunt nothing could be better remembering these moments just made him hurt but these moments were the only things keeping him together in one piece. As Chris was thinking about these things he heard the police coming from the street knowing that he had to take one moment at a time.

Olivia couldn't believe her eyes when she noticed Zoey standing there, speaking to her as she was hugging Chris. She couldn't get that thought out of her mind while she was talking to her sweet, little Emma. When Emma wrapped her arms around Olivia's legs, the mother couldn't help but to smile. She loved that her daughter could tell when she was upset and wanted to make her feel better. "I'll be okay Emma," she stated to her before leaning down and placing a tender kiss upon her forehead. "Go play with your toys and don't come down stairs unless you're told to, do you understand?" she stated as she heard the sirens coming up to the house.

Just as she turned to begin walking down the stairs, she noticed Nick. He seemed like there was something on his mind, but she just didn't choose to ask. Though once he began apologizing for everything he's been doing to both their daughter and Olivia, she just sighed and nodded her head. "Alright," she stated to him as she began walking down the stairs. "If you need me just come get me," she added to Nick as she continued down the stairs and out the door to begin talking to the police, to explain everything that happened.

Once she stepped outside, she noticed Chris sitting on the porch, clearly upset and taking to realization that he would never be able to see or hear his sister's voice again. She sighed as she stepped to the edge of the porch and rested her left hand upon his shoulder and gently squeezed it, signaling that she was there for him if he needed her. As the police stepped out of their vehicles, she walked down the stairs and met them in the middle of her front yard.

"So, what's going on here Ma'am?" the heavy-set, bald officer questioned as he pulled out a notepad and started to write things down as Olivia began to explain.

"When I came home from work about an hour ago, I walked outside to my lake in the backyard to relax. But once I made it to the end of the pier I saw my friend, Zoey Brown dead in the lake, face down. It looks as if she committed suicide, but I don't believe that she would ever do that. I have a feeling that someone did this to her. Never in a million years would she kill herself," Olivia explained as she sighed and felt her knees beginning to get weak. Just talking about her best friend's death was making her feel very helpless. The blonde felt twin waterfalls swell up in her eyes as they trailed down her face as she continued talking to the officer.

"Can you take me to the lake?" the officer questioned as she glanced up at Olivia.

Olivia nodded her head and looked to Chris, "I know you probably don't want to, but would you mind coming with me? You don't have to go up to the pier, just stay by my side for support?" she questioned to Chris before starting to walk the officer to the back of her home, towards the lake.

Emma was holding on to dear life to her mommy then her Mother said "I'll be okay Emma," "That's good Mommy I wouldn't want you to be not alright." as Emma was hugging her this reminded her of her Grandpa's funeral when Mommy acted just like this she knew that something wrong had happened but knew that she only lied to protect Emma. Mommy stated to her before leaning down and placing a tender kiss upon her forehead. "Go play with your toys and don't come down stairs unless you're told to, do you understand?" Emma shock her head up and down watching her mommy walking down the stairs.



Emma was just sitting there on the chair not doing anything she was worried about her Mommy and Daddy and all her parents it wasn't right so she had to ignore it so she went to her dollhouse and picked up her dolls and started playing.

Chris was siting on the porch not knowing how to calm down just to breathe would be impossible let alone be by himself all he knew was that he was alone he didn't have his sister he didn't know what to do then as he kept thinking thoughts he heard Olivia come back down the stairs as she opened the door a cop pulled up in his car and asked "So, what's going on here Ma'am?" Chris wait to hear something until the officer spoke "Can you take me to the lake?" and he waited to see what Olivia would say then she looked up at Chris and said "I know you probably don't want to, but would you mind coming with me? You don't have to go up to the pier, just stay by my side for support?" "yeah sure" in a low voice as he followed Olivia to the pier.

Olivia sighed and took a deep, relaxing breath, trying her best to keep calm long enough to finish talking to the officer. She really didn't want to break down again until after everything was handled. As she lead the officer to the pier with Chris at her side, she could feel tears swelling up in her eyes. The blonde stopped in the middle of the yard, pointing to the end of the pier. "She's just at the end of the pier. I just...I can't go any farther," she stated to the officer before dropping to the ground.

The officer nodded his head, "It's okay Ma'am," he stated to her as the other officers and the ambulances pulled into the yard. He made his way over to the end of the pier and started taking photos and jotting things down in his little notebook.

Olivia held her head in her hands, feeling herself breaking down. She couldn't do this anymore. She just went through losing her father a couple months before and now she had to go through losing her best friend. The only person who had been in her life she could tell everything to, the main person she counted on for everything. Zoey was now gone and there was nothing she could do about it.

Olivia glanced up as she felt someone's hand upon her shoulder but to her amazement it was Zoey. She blinked her eyes a bit as she stared straight into her best friend's eyes. "How...how is this possible? You're dead Zoey," she mumbled as she spoke to Zoey, hoping that Chris wasn't able to hear her. Out of all the people in her life, she didn't want Chris to think she was going insane...even if she really was.

Chris walked all the way down to the pier trying to listen to what the cop and Olivia were talking about but he couldn't try to speak or even listen to what they were talking about he couldn't all he could think about was that he only had himself to blame this was his fault he had no other choice to blame himself he thought then he saw Olivia shed a tear so he slowly wiped it off her face and as she felt down to her knees he went down to comfort her so he hugged her.



Chris was again is a hug with Olivia feeling her tears stream down her face thinking of all the good times they had and thought of the times they would never share together again Zoey was life she was an amazing girl.

Olivia couldn't believe the way Chris was suddenly acting around her. Of course she knew that he was always there for her when she needed him and that he cared about her, but he had never acted this way around her before. She knew it was wrong, but she couldn't help but suddenly feel like she was beginning to care for him more than she should. At that moment she shook the thoughts out of her mind, she was married to Nick, she loved Nick with all her heart. Emma is their child, he's her father.

Olivia wrapped her arms around Chris's neck as she glanced to where she noticed Zoey, still not believing that she was able to see her as lively as she would be if she were really still alive, still there with them. Honestly she thought she was just seeing things, hallucinating because of the very pain she was feeling over losing her best friend. That's all it was, there was no way Zoey was still there, that ghosts truly existed.

Chris could feel that Olivia was feeling scared and nervous like what if this wasn't a suicide what if it was a murder then there is someone in this town killing people it worried him also but there was no way of knowing it's not like you could go up to Zoey and ask "Hey Zoey did someone murder you or did you kill yourself?"

Chris couldn't bear to look at the officer and tell him stuff but he knew later he would be interrogated by the officer or even other officers so he was going to have to say something sooner or later it worried him not knowing what was going to happen it scared him Chris is the kind of person not knowing something is going to happen that is bad hurts him and he doesn't like it.

Chris kept on thinking on and on about his sister but something in his head was distracting him then he realized what it was it was Olivia's hair it smelled beautiful yet so normal he loved it but he then thought "Why am I smelling her hair?" he didn't know what was going on was he feeling something for a married woman who's husband he was friends with he knew he couldn't do this it was wrong so he started to pull away from the hug.

Once Chris pulled away from Olivia, she felt a bit upset about it but knew it would have been the best thing to do with the way she was beginning to feel. She hoped that all of this Zoey stuff is what was clouding her thoughts and that everything would be back to normal after a while. She cleared her throat a bit and spoke to the officer, "I'm going to go check on my daughter and husband. If you need anything feel free to come inside and get me," she stated to him before turning her attention back to Chris. She gave him a soft smile and squeezed his hand before beginning to walk through the yard to the inside of the house to find Emma and Nick. She figured now was as good a time as any to let Emma know what was going on.

Olivia climbed up the stairs and into Emma's room. She sat down on the floor with her and spoke, "Emma, I need to tell you something very important, can you come here?" she questioned as she reached her arms out in front of her, signaling that she wanted Emma to sit in her lap.

Chris could feel as he was backing away from the hug that it was wrong to do that to her to but her in an awkward position but deep down he never wanted to end for just a second he wondered what it would be like to push her against a wall but her legs around him then kiss her passionately but right away he could imagine what Zoey would say she would say "What is wrong with you your friends with her husband and that is my best friend." he felt everything come to him right at once right, wrong anything he couldn't help it but he had to that was his sister's best friend then Olivia said "I'm going to go check on my daughter and husband. If you need anything feel free to come inside and get me," "Okay." replied Chris

Chris looked at Olivia as she walked away waiting for Olivia to come back but for a second he felt like someone else was there a breeze it had to be someone.
