Morgan
'Oh... I am SO happy I'm off that plane! How long could it take! Jesus Christ!' she yanked at the little bagpack on her bag and she flung it onto the ground. They were waiting for their luggage. There were people buzzing everywhere. She needed a drink. She looked around of there were any vending machines in the area but she was out of luck. The only thing she had was a little bit of water left in her bag pack in the bottle she got on the plane. The trip had been long and tiresome. It had taken 16 whole hours to get to London. They departed in New York and had to make a stop in Miami. Miami was very different from New York. They had been there before on tour but still... Morgan loved the people and the culture there. Maybe because it made her think about her grandparents whom both lived in the south. Louisiana.
Everybody was tired she could see. She sighed. How long will it take for our luggage to come through?
James
James fell unto his knees and kissed the dirty floor. He couldn't care less. He was home again! England the beautiful! England the great! England the... Oh, just as he sat unto his knees he felt how tired he was. He took some deodorant out of his bag and sprayed half his body twice. He hadn't had a shower in more than 24 hours and he craved for one realy bad. He hoped the luggage would be there quickly so they all could go to their hotels and sleep the jetlag off. It was 6 AM in London and still the airport was buzzing with people. He saw Morgan sighing. She looked tired, but then again : who didn't. He wondered If his beloved drum kit made it through. He was tired but also psyched because he was finally back in Great Britain.
He usually passed his meds off as ADHD meds, which usually got him by, but he was really itching for some pain meds just about now, and he hadn't brought any. Through his smile, he thought to himself. Well this is going to be a long trip.
He usually passed his meds off as ADHD meds, which usually got him by, but he was really itching for some pain meds just about now, and he hadn't brought any. Through his smile, he thought to himself. Well this is going to be a long trip.
"You guys think everything got here okay?" The question was directed towards anyone who was willing to answer. He hoped his laptop made it okay, everyone knew that luggage people weren't exactly gentle when it came to handling people's belongings. He's seen the way they throw them around like sacks of flour. He tried to stifle another yawn but it won him over. He was suffering the effects of caffeine withdrawal, it would have happened eventually given the fact that he consumes enough to wake up four people.
Indiana popped her headphones back in after stepping off the plane, and followed the rest of the band members. She took a small nap during the flight but she was still exhausted. When they reached the baggage claim she pulled one of her headphones out again so she could hear any conversation her bandmates started. She laughed and rolled her eyes playfully as James dropped to his knees in the airport. "Coffee sounds good right about now. I think that's a wonderful idea" she smiled at Dan and leaned against the nearest object. Even though they sat for 16 hours her legs seemed just as tired as the rest of her body. As the minutes past, she pulled her bag and bass guitar out of the baggage claim, but started to get antsy. The other's things weren't coming and she knew that posed as a major problem for them. No instruments, no band. A few more minutes past, and people from another flight were advancing toward the baggage claim. Indiana's eyes grew wide. 'Please don't tell me they lost our luggage' she thought. "I hate to be the one to point out the obvious, but what are we going to do if our instruments aren't on that baggage claim? Because it looks to me like that might happen to us." she said, gesturing aimlessly at the baggage carousel.
Zachary's bored, tired and lacking eyes scanned the airport around him, spotting many people departing the plan alongside him, his bandmates and the planes taking off from the windows. He rubbed his temples slowly and closed his eyes, yawning vigorously, almost obnoxiously. They had finally left that dreaded plane and made way back to land! Oh the joy, for he was not a bird and believed his feet were best firmly planted on the ground. Although he wished his feet were on better ground. Unfamiliar places weren't his favorite, and they weren't even in good America anymore, let alone the United States.
He might have to fake an accent to fit in or something.
His glance was pulled towards the man on the floor, who seemed to be worshiping with his mouth which wasn't too sanitary. Meh. "Jay, floors are for your feet, not your mouth, silly." he remarked, giving the man a pat on the back and sighing. "But I guess we're all happy that's over." he glanced around at his fellow band members before making said observation. One of them, Dan, suggested they go to get some coffee and as tired as Zach was, that sounded like the best idea in the world and so he turned to the boy and went to agree when...
"I hate to be the one to point out the obvious, but what are we going to do if our instruments aren't on that baggage claim? Because it looks to me like that might happen to us."
Zach frowned and glanced longingly at where his bags were supposed to be. "Maybe if we pretend, that wont happen?....no?" he shook his head and was actually very displeased if this turned out to be the case, though no one could tell. As far as his fellow members go, none of them had actually seen him 'mad' before. Displeased, but not mad. However, he just bought his new instrument, and losing that investment wasn't really something he wanted the airline to be guilty of. It was red and everything! "I'm so tired that at this point, I don't even care. I'll care later when I have the strength, will and beer to do so." he stated. "Coffee sounds nice."
She'd been reluctant to come back home. Their last destination was so much more pleasing to the writer, she always had something new to write about. But here, she knew everything here, it wasn't new and exciting to her. Perhaps now she would begin to write more about the band. An interview with each maybe, if they would ever agree to it. Especially with her, it didn't seem like the band trusted her much, simply because she kept to herself.
Biting her lip, she tried to stop the negative train of thoughts as she followed Sutton to the baggage claim area, where it seemed they were talking about where the bands instruments were.
Out of the whole group, besides Dan, most of Sutton's conversations happened with Naomi. The girl actually gave him the time of day, and he was glad to have someone to exhange words with on more than a 'How's the weather' basis. Scanning the baggage claim, he found his two bags and pulled them off the revolving belt, then glanced at the band members as he slung one of them on his shoulder. He made a mental note to back up the personal data on his laptop when they got to the hotel, you could never be too careful with these things. Apperantly, some of the luggage didn't make the trip. That's gonna piss some people off when they recover from their drowsy states... Sutton honestly has never seen one of the band members lose their cool, but that was probably because the majority of the time, he wasn't around them enough to do so.
'Here's some chapstick' Dan gave her a bottle of water and a chap stick. She was so glad. Dan always thought of everything. She sighed thankfully at him and blew him a thank you kiss from her hand. She smiled. She felt a whole lot better with some water and something to ease the pain in her lips. Dan said something about coffee. 'Dan, you are my hero! as soon as i have this stupid bag of mine I need some coffee!' Morgan said tired. She was sitting on the floor looking up at the bags starting to flow by.
"I hate to be the one to point out the obvious, but what are we going to do if our instruments aren't on that baggage claim? Because it looks to me like that might happen to us."
Morgan got nervous. What? No. This can't be. You know. This are her clothes and her shower cream and toothbrush and.. oh there it was! A big red case with her name on in black letters. Her heart jumped back in place. But some of the others were still looking for their stuff. I hope everything will be allright!
James
He heard Indiana chuckle as he kissed the grouns. 'Are you laughing at me madame?' he said in a joking over acted british accent. She was leaning on one of the concrete poles that held up the high ceiling. Jay, floors are for your feet, not your mouth, silly. But I guess we're all happy that's over." Zach said while patting him on the back. 'I know I know' James told him. 'haven't you ever been sooo madly happy that you were home you would do anything? It's like being drunk without having touched alcohol : everything is a good idea.'
"I hate to be the one to point out the obvious, but what are we going to do if our instruments aren't on that baggage claim? Because it looks to me like that might happen to us."
James saw the bags flow by. He saw the same one twice... for times even six times. He didn't see his drum kit. His heart started to race and his mind started to panic. Maybe they have a special service for big items! Yes that could be it! I just go and ask the lady over there and she will give me my baby... I mean drum kit! He said to himself.
"Shit." Naomi had gotten one of her bags, which had all of her clothing in it, but her other bag was nowhere in sight. Tapping her foot, she waited for more bags to come down, but none did. All of her journals, stories, articles, everything!, was in that bag.
And she noticed other people didn't have some of their things either. Deciding she would stay quiet, and let them decide how they were getting their stuff back, she took her place beside Sutton in the group again. He was the only one who seemed to tolerate her presence, and frankly she felt comfier next to him rather than the people who actually played in the band. Her fingers clenched and unclenched at her sides, silently willing them to start planning how they'd get their stuff back.
Glancing down at Naomi again, he frowned slightly, then bumped his arm playfully against hers. "What are you missing...?" As if it mattered. He knew he would be freaking himself out right now if his luggage hadn't all arrived.
'You want some water Zach'? Morgan asked after she recovered her bag. It was a heavy one. She took out hor bag with deodorant and sprayed some on her. 'Almost as good as new!' Morgan glanced at the journalist. That Annie girl. The manager said she had do come with us. The problem was that Morgan felled watched... as if someone noted everything she did... like in the somg 'every step you take, every move you make, I'll be watching you'. She felt a shiver running over her spine. I hope i'm not going to make a fool of myself when I'm drunk. She planned on partying a lot. She wasn't realy the party girl but she wanted to change that. She wanted to reinvent herself...
James
'THAT'S MY BAG!' James yelled. 'GET IT OFF!' he was a madmenn. The bag came rolling down and went slowely the other side. James was anxious. He was scared. What if the drums were broken? What if they were lost. What if he would never see them again? When he got the bag he opened it and dove up some drumsticks and a can of energy drink. 'want a sip?' he asked Indiana. She looked exhausted. After a while he was so nervous he begann drumming on the floor an on people's bags. It must have been irritating for other people but yes... waiting was boring for everybody. 'Who is missing stuff?' he asked slowely because he noticed other people looking around scared.
"You want some water, Zach?"
The guitarist without a guitar turned to face their singer, Morgan. He quickly changed his frown upside down into a small smile and spoke. "Yes!" he answered rather quickly and enthusiastically, betraying the fact that he hadn't really decided to drink the whole trip because during the flight he had felt sick and moving to get to the bathroom would only have made him feel worse. If it wasn't clear already, Zachary hated flying on a plane, and sometimes he couldn't even manage to keep his lunch or breakfast down on a flight. "Hey, are you missing anything M? I've apparently lost my fifth limb."
Oh. I'm not missing anything I have my microph... wait. Oh you're missing your guitar? That's a disaster. When is our next gig? Is someone missing something else? Morgan suddenly realized she was talking too much... again.
Maybe we can go to the luggage claim thingy back there. She pointed at some woman in a stewardess suit at a desk helping other people. Maybe they have a solution or maybe not. In times like these - when things were going wrong on times when they ABSOLUTELY were not supposed to go wrong, she panicked. And she has to stop doing that. 'I'm so sorry... you know how I am... I wish I had your steel nerves' she said and looked at the tips of her shoes. 'We will get your guitar back!'
'Who is missing stuff?' she heard james say in an anxious voice. 'Oh no, not him as well...'
"Hm?" She was pulled out of her shocked state by Sutton's voice, and her eyes flitted upwards to meet his. "Oh, just like, my whole life." Naomi sighed, knowing her lost items weren't ones easily replaced. Her brother had told her she shouldn't keep all of her writing in a single bag, but she had anyways. It would be easier to carry, she remembered saying to him. They'd bickered up until the moment she got onto the plane. But even with all their fighting, she missed her brother, a lot. Perhaps she would even return home to him, her bags were probably back at Miami anyways, the band probably wouldn't mind. It was like she was the little sister that no one really wanted to take with them, but their parents made them anyways. Though she knew her brother wouldn't let her return home, not after she worked so hard to be here with them.
"Perhaps I'll just get my brother to send it out. Actually I'm sure he could send everyone's missing stuff, it would be here within a few days." She suggested, already knowing that it was what she would be doing. Her brother would be proud of her decision to not return home. Naomi glanced up at Sutton again. "Want to go find those Monster's?"
Smiling at her suggestion, Sutton nodded down at Naomi, then glanced at the rest of the group. He felt like Harry Potter wearing his invisibility cloak around these people, and he was pretty sure that Naomi was feeling the same. But at least Harry Potter had a better chance of being heard even if he was wearing the cloak. He was also sure that he wasn't the only one that sometimes thought about returning home, to his job at the Apple Store where his daily activity was conducting people to the nearest restroom and talking about the newest upgrades on the tecnology he was trying to sell. When he thought about it that way, the job seemed like a real drag, hell, who wouldn't rather travel Europe with a great band and hear awesome music.
The question didn't need an answer. "Lead the way, my dear," Sutton replied to Naomi, and waited for her to walk in front of him. He wasn't sure if she was still glancing around the belt for her luggage, but if she was, he had no problem with it. Patience has always been one of his good qualities.
The last airport they'd been at wasn't as fancy as this. Back in Miami there was maybe a Starbucks and a McDonalds, perhaps even a book/magazine store but other than that your only choice was to sit and wait for your flight. And they'd done a lot of waiting. Naomi was probably the least patient person ever, especially when she had nothing to do. Back at home she used to send samples of her writing to publishing companies, and waiting for a reply from them was usually unbearable. When she wasn't writing she was at their local bookstore, which she had worked at since she was old enough to read.
They arrived at the big circle of fast food restaurants and last minute clothing shops and, well whatever else you could imagine. Her eyes widened slightly. "Um, where to now?" She looked up at him, hoping he would know.
Laughing, Sutton smirked down at her, then looked around. For some reason, the statement struck him as funny, considering he has never been an adventure type of guy. The biggest adventure he's ever had was running after a thief who snatched his friend's bag in Los Angeles, and that situation didn't end too well. Then again, he wasn't the fastest runner, so that probably had something to do with it, too. As his eyes scanned the stores, he spotted one of those souvenir joints which also had a fridge somewhere in the back, behind the keychain wracks and little flags sticking out of baskets. "How bout that place over there? If they don't have energy drinks, at least I can get a damn Coke or something. Before I collapse right here on the airport floor."
"C'mon." Gesturing towards the store he'd already pointed out, she began walking over. Naomi quickly made her way to the back of the store, not wanting to attract anyone's attention. Eyeing the few fridges they had, her eyes caught the wonderful green Monster symbol. Pulling the door open, she grabbed two of the energy drinks, handing one to Sutton before shutting the door again. "You like the green ones, yeah?" The green was her and Kellin's favorite, and she just assumed it was his too. The others were okay but, green was always preferred.
Though quiet, one could always count on Sutton to be a gentleman. If there was anything he was grateful to his dad about, it was his lessons on how to behave around the female population. Of course, his Dad was still more smooth with the ladies, and there was a twenty-two age difference between the two. Sutton wouldn't admit to this fact out loud, though, but it was an unspoken fact. How humiliating would it be to have your girlfriend stolen...by your Dad... The thought itself caused Sutton to laugh out loud, but he immediately stopped and glanced back at Naomi. The last thing he wanted her to think is that he had odd mental conversations with himself. At times, he found himself observing her, too. The girl was beautiful, no question.

"I can pay for it, y'know." She said quietly, a shy smile playing on her lips. Though as she fished through her pockets, she realized, with a frown, that all of her money was in her journal bag. Looking back up at Sutton, she mentally slapped herself. "I will pay you back." Naomi heard him laugh and she arched an eyebrow, giving him a funny look. "Having conversations with yourself?" She teased, the smile back on her face. Though she blushed, the crimson rising in her cheeks as she looked down at her hands, realizing he had been watching her, and how close they happened to be in the small store.
"I won't hear of it, don't worry about it." Taking the energy drinks to the front, Sutton took out a ten from his wallet and placed it on the counter, then waited while he recieved his change back, which he stuffed into his wallet lazily. He wasn't one for having everything just where it needed to be, he considered it a waste of time. Handing Naomi her Monster, he then led her through a string of people who just walked into the store, then out into the open again. "We should see what the others are up to...."
Popping the cap of the energy drink open, he took a quick sip, then began to lead Naomi back to the luggage claim. Instead of exchanging words with the band mates, he turned his searching eyes on Dan, who was leaning against a pillar, then smiled slightly. "You okay?" He seemed sort of zoned out.
Her blonde hair fell in front of her face as she moved to grab her phone, realizing Sutton still had it. Fabulous, she thought, not even wanting her phone back since she'd have to initiate another awkward conversation with the boy. Putting her hands back in her lap, she tried to remember if things had ever been different for her. She was always the awkward one in groups, and the quiet one. Why waste your words when you can learn so much more by just observing? Many people, as she discovered, mindlessly babbled on about random things just for the sake of avoiding an awkward silence. But perhaps if sometimes they just listened, they wouldn't ever suffer from an awkward silence.
And that was why she didn't have friends. She over-analyzed everything, and was usually the most mature one in a group, also known as the "un-fun one".
OOC: sorry guys, I was at work for a few hours, but I read all the posts so i'm caught up now
Everyone seemed to get the same panicked look on their faces when they realized their things weren't coming down the chute. She had her guitar and duffle bag but it looked like Naomi was missing something, Zach was missing his guitar, Dan was missing some of his tech equipment, and lastly her attention was turned to James who seemed to be panicking more than the rest. 'Oh no....' she thought 'His drums are like his children'. She bit her lip out of anxiousness and sat down next to James. "Oh God, yes please." she said, taking the can from his hand and taking a sip.
She raised an eyebrow as her attention was turned to Dan. He seemed to be in pain. She slid her backpack over to him and gestured to the front pocket. "If you need pain meds or anything of the like it's in the front." With a sigh she stood back up and headed over to the help desk with Morgan. "Excuse me, but some of our luggage didn't arrive with us. We're missing quite a few things and it's very important that we get them as soon as possible" she said calmly. The woman behind the desk looked totally uninterested in what she had to say. "The luggage bay in your plane was probably full so your luggage was delayed. I'm sure it will come on the next flight. If you leave the address you'll be staying we'll be happy to ship your luggage to you free of charge." Indiana was a bit surprised by willingness to cooperate. "Yeah that would be awesome." she smiled and then looked at Morgan "Do you know the address of the hotel we're staying at, because I have no idea." then she turned back to the woman "Approximately how long will it take to get it back?" The woman sighed and rolled her eyes. "Anywhere from 3-12 days, depending on when the next flight comes in." Indiana's eyes widened again. They could maybe get by with 3 days but not any more than that. She turned to look at Morgan again, but this time in panic.
