Introduction
It is 4E 350. Tamriel, once encompassed by a single Empire, has been broken into 10 countries for 20 years, Cyrodiil, Elsweyr, Argonia (for TES buffs, this encompasses the Black Marsh and Morrowind now, since according to the events of the latest book Morrowind was conquered by the Argonians), Solstheim (the new home of the Dunmer), Skyrim, High Rock, Orsinium (the orcs declared secession from High Rock in 4E 67), Hammerfell, Valenwood, and Summerset Isle. Travel between borders, though not officially banned or restricted, is likely, if not definite, to result in capture, torture, interrogation and death by ‘vigilante’ patrols. Every country has been amassing an army for almost 20 years, in preparation for the war that is inevitable.
The country of Cyrodiil is led by the Emperor, Titus Mede IV. Cyrodiil was the heartland and seat of governance of the Empire, and still flies the banner of the Empire. The other countries are led by various councils and monarchs.
Cyrodiil plans to declare war on Elsewyr the day that the RP begins, Hearthfire 24, 4E 350 (equivalent to September 24). Its invasion force is massing outside the town of Bravil, which is located close to the border between the two countries, as well as having access to the Niben River.
Meanwhile, the other countries are also planning their invasions. Solstheim is sending a small, highly-trained force into Morrowind to assassinate Argonian leaders and cause chaos, paving the way for the main force to arrive. Orsinium will attack Wayrest, a province of High Rock. High Rock is in turn about to siege Orsinium. Skyrim is planning to attack Cyrodiil, and has formed a temporary alliance with Hammerfell for this purpose. Valenwood will attack Summerset Isle.
And all the while, a danger is rising in Oblivion. The Daedric Prince Molag Bal is planning to unleash another Oblivion crisis on Tamriel, to take advantage of the current situation when mortals are weakened and divided, and to turn Nirn (the mortal world) into the embodiment of his plane of Oblivion (search The Doors of Oblivion on UESP).
The technology will be similar to the Renaissance, but without any form of firearms. It's still very much bow, sword and spell in this setting.
You can fight for any one of the 10 countries (read about them at UESP). You can also be any one of the 10 races, although most of these races will be concentrated in their homelands (again, check). You might even be a Daedra, if you so choose. You can be whatever you like here (well, not whatever: but most reasonable things will be good, as long as they conform to the universe's setting.)
RULES:
- Try to post as high a quality as you can. I don't want long posts: I want good ones hat move the story along.
- Don't join unless you can post at least every 2-3 days. I don't want this RP to die, or at least to die before the story starts gaining pace.
- Romance and violence is fine, even encouraged, though I don't do romance well. Keep it somewhere around or a little above PG-13.
- With your character: don't Mary Sue! Essentially, don't make clichéd characters. Take The Universal Mary Sue Litmus Test, and post your score at the end of the bio. I'll take this into consideration along with your general character profile.
- No stormtrooper effect. (e.g. Stormtroopers killing everyone on a Rebel ship with ease, then spraying all their shots wide of Luke, Han, Chewie and Leia, who pick them off with a single shot).
- Code: Select all

If you say it's passed through the family, I'll say that the army confiscates these weapons and gives them to high-ranked warriors. Just give the weapon type. If you do have a special magic weapon, put in in your bio. If you are a mage, put your area of specialisation here, which will be one of the magic skills. You know where to check the skills.)
Physical description: (NO ANIME!!!! Anime is one of my pet peeves in profiles. I'm sorry, but not everyone in the world looks like a cartoon character. Post either a photo (put it in a link) or a 1-2 paragraph description.)

Character Sheet:
Name: Markus Narcelus
Age: 22
Race: Imperial
Country: Cyrodil but more specifically the water front district of the Imperial city
Role: Agent
Faction: Thieves Guild Shadow Foot, but we all really know that they do not exist.
Weapon preference: Bows but he prefers a good knife to the throat if he can not get the answers he wants from a distance.
Physical description: Markus Narcelus is of a light completion with his dark green eyes and his light brown hair that is kept short as to not catch or be grabbed by anyone or anything. A single scar runs down the left side of his face starting right below his left eye and stopping at the cleft of his chin. His head is covered by a green hood that has made its way to being attached to his dark green and brown tunic and leggings and shoes which are fitting and allows him to be as movable as needed while sneaking around and beings as casual when in the public eye. His bow he carries strung as he carries it around on his shoulder as he walks or sneaks about and his 80 steel arrows sit waiting to be used while they sit in their quiver. Two daggers remain sheathed on his right hip, one being made of iron and the other of steel. He carries on him in a small carrying bag that is strapped to his belt several lock picks and a couple of potions to restore lost health and a couple of poisons to debilitate his foes with paralysis or kill his foes if needed. He also keeps in his bag several quills and two bottles of sealed ink along with 12 parchments in order to write on and He always keeps 20 Septum's on him at all times.
Personality: Funny, Charming, Quick Witted, Silver Tongued, Intelligent, Level Headed, and Quick to Action. many of those traits can describe Markus at his beast of times when he is in the public eye but when a job is about to go down or is going on this man is very different and his train of thought is only on the objectives and how to quickly and quietly reach his goals without interfering or creating to much noise as to be as silent and deft in hands and movement.
Bio: Marcus Narcelus, an Agent for some and a thief to others, his life was never completely normal according to some of the merchants and patrons of the local taverns and inns. He was born under the sign of the thief and has always shown promise and Armand Christophe was the first to take notice amongst all of the other thieves who could call the imperial city their own. Marcus found that he took a liking to moving unseen as he would take small trinkets from those who where not looking and replacing them with items that do not belong. His motives when he was a child where always interesting as he could play out one side only to then succeed in his job for the other side.
