Alaric smiled as he slid the ring onto her finger and hugged her back. He gave her a passionate kiss and looked into her eyes as she said dinner was done. "Alright, let's eat," he stated to her with a soft smile and sat down at the table. He looked at the food, it all looked so good. He reached for the spoon and placed some on his plate. "This looks and smells so good," he stated to her as he took a bite from it. He felt like the happiest man on earth. Not only did he have food sitting in front of him, he was going to be married to the most wonderful girl in the world.

Alaric smiled when he noticed that Katherine was looking at him. "I love you," he stated to her before taking another bite from his food. "So have you thought of any names for the baby?" he questioned as he eyes trailed down to her baby bump. He never believed he would be comfortable with having a child. But from that day on he promised himself he would be a better father than his ever was to him. The child was innocent, it didn't deserve to be treated badly. Even though his baby hadn't even been born yet, he knew this baby was changing him and maybe it was for the better.

When she looked up at Alaric she smiled. She was surprised he wanted to talk about the baby. He was changing a lot and she wondered if it was for the better. She loved Alaric no matter what. But would he change too much? She didn't care and she needed to make sure she stuck with that.
"Well I am having a hard time between the catagories of names I picked out. There is family names? Or we could go with old fashioned? or Modern. So many choices." She said looking at him. Maybe he had one. "Did you have something in mind?"

"Well, I was thinking Freya or Clarissa for a girl and possibly Mason for a boy?" he stated as he leaned back in his chair, full from the stir-fry. That was one of the many things he loved about Katherine, she definitely knew how to cook. He never believed he would be okay with having a baby, but honestly if it weren't for his parents showing up he wouldn't know how lucky he was. Not only was he having the family he always wanted, but he was going to prove to his parents the kind of father he could be. Definitely better than the way his parents treated him while growing up.
Things were going to change, and maybe it was for the better. All he knew was that he needed to save up some money in order for them to get all the things they needed for the baby, find someone who would throw a baby shower, and eventually start planning their wedding. Everything was happening so fast, but honestly, he wouldn't want it any other way. This was the life he wanted and nothing was going to take him away from it.

Alaric sighed at her words and shrugged his shoulders, "I'm honestly still not completely sure how I feel about all of this but I know regardless I'm going to be a father whether I like it or not. So I figured I mind as well just act like a man and start thinking like a father," he stated as he placed his hand upon her's and squeezed it gently.
He couldn't believe he was telling Katherine all of this. In a way he felt that she would end up becoming upset, but he knew she needed to know the truth about what he was feeling about the whole thing. Yes, he wasn't too thrilled about the baby but he knew that since he was the father he needed to start acting like one. "When do we find out the sex of the baby?" he questioned, feeling a bit curious about it. The past couple of times he wasn't able to go to the checkups with her because he had to work. But that didn't mean he that he didn't care. Honestly he was a lot more curious about it than he thought he ever would be.
Alaric stood to his feet and picked the dishes up off the table and walked over to the kitchen sink and began washing them. He figured that since Katherine had the kindness to cook, he mind as well wash the dishes for her. Throughout all of this he still couldn't fight that gut feeling he had that he would turn out like his father did. He was definitely going to prove to his parents how a father should act, how a father should treat their child.

She said as she got some dishes and brought it to him. "Let me dry please." She said looking at him. Hoping he would allow her to dry.
