Takagi is pretty well built for being a Police Agent, while he's slim he also has muscle tone and is in good shape athletically. He has short hair that is somewhat messy. He has thin eyebrows and is smirking or smiling more than not. He usually wears somewhat baggy suits along with black jeans and a loose tie. He switches between wearing boots and wearing shoes, though he prefers shoes. Both of his ears are pierced.

Takagi is a big fan of using knives and other similar sharp objects. He has multiple throwing knives, daggers, and pocket knives along with tonfas with sharp edges and a cane with a sword concealed inside. He also carries a .9mm pistol usually on his belt.

Takagi is an expert at using knives whether it be long range or in close combat. He can throw his knives with great speed and accuracy, and compete in strenuous combat for extended periods of time due to his endurance. He is also very intellectually gifted being able to solve problems quickly and correctly and find the best solution to certain situations. But his most favorite thing to do is reading people and experimenting on their psychology through battle.

He tends to try and not get too close to anybody because he doesn't really want anyone to catch him on his act but he is perfectly fine with having relationships were no prying is being done. Once Takagi truly opens up to someone he becomes very compassionate and friendly towards them. However he doesn't like people getting close to him because of his past.
He can be quite the grouch especially when it comes to those who are in authority over him. He can be slightly lazy when nothing really interesting is going on but once something occurs that truly intrigues him he's like a kid in a candy store. He's somewhat rebellious in usually little ways and tends to mentally belittle those who are above him if he personally finds them to be incapable or unfit for a position above him.
Though he can tend to be a bit immature Takagi is actually very smart and quite the good combatant in battle. He's quite witty in conversation and has a pretty sharp tongue. He's fond of banter and loves getting a reaction out of others by the things he says. In fact, more than half the times he says something flirty or anything of the sort it's mainly to just see how the other person reacts. Though if he were to find someone he couldn't as easily toy with, he'd become even more intrigued, excited, and enthusiastic. Takagi can occasionally be a bit too confident, though that may just be one of his ways to get a rise out of people.

When Takagi was growing up he was revered as a child prodigy. Though there were some who were jealous he carried on and stuck his head up high, gaining the adoration of many of his peers. It was difficult to maintain relationships with others his age due to the paces they were moving out scholastically but he still tried, without much of any luck. However, he one day met a girl, Lyla, who he could actually grow close to. They shared stories, had great conversations...their bond was unbreakable. But one day in school, a week or so after a mandated blood test was taken on the school, a group of scientists came and took her away, he couldn't understand why...but he knew they were going to hurt her...and he couldn't do anything about it.
After that Takagi started going into a bit of a depression, still maintaining his excellence and achievements but without the enthusiasm and confidence he once had. Everyone bored him, everyone was either stupid or too boring for him to want to talk to. Everyday he wondered what happened to the only person in the world that he could call a friend...but eventually he stopped, the things he wondered grew darker and grimmer and he couldn't take it anymore. However one day he met someone else that he could connect to, someone else he could call a friend. Someone who was perhaps as gifted as he was. They grew closer than he imagined he'd ever be with anyone, as close as he and Lyla were. His name was Eren, and he managed to bring Takagi out of his depression. However, he one day lost him too. Matt was deported back to America due to the war, Takagi wasn't sure of what the reason was but it happened...and he was alone again.
Takagi vowed to never get close to anyone ever again, to lie under an armor that was unbreakable. It was then when he truly began researching about Vampires. They were gifted...more gifted than he ever was. He studied everything he could get, mostly only able to get anatomy books on them and research notes from his father who was a scientist there. But it wasn't enough, Takagi wanted more information. Eventually, when he graduated high school he moved on to the fastest way to work with Vampires possible, becoming a Police Agent. He would never become a scientist...not after what happened to Lyla, but working with Vampires as a Police Agent was incredible. He got to study them without hurting them like the scientists did...he saw them use their powers, saw how they thought. They were wonderful creatures.
When he got the news that he had to hunt a Vampire down he accepted it...but he still wasn't sure how he was going to bring himself to doing it...
