{Personality}
|| Observant || Charming || Stubborn || Patient || Rebellious ||

Serafina was blessed with traits that aided her as an angel and although someone who was obedient in the beginning, after a while she evolved into much more than the stereotypical angel. She is extremely charming and emits an aura of pleasantness and relaxation. Because of this, many humans find her endearing and open up to her quite quickly as if they had known her for years. As someone who has always found humans interesting and loves to people – watch, and as an angel before she fell from grace, she quietly looked over them; it isn’t a surprise to say that Serafina is also very observant. Due to her observant nature, she is much more attuned to her surroundings as she focusses on attention to detail and tends to be much more considerate of others as a result.

As emotional as humans are, she recognises the need to be patient and kind which coexists nicely with her charms. Serafina tends always know what the right thing to say or do is, often helping strangers and going out of her way just to make someone's day. As an angel, she truly believes that love and care will be the saving grace of humanity and sometimes humans just need a little reminding.

However, over time she has built up quite the stubborn rebellious nature. Although she keeps her negative traits top secret as it isn’t a good look for an angel, she can’t help but be tired of the goody-two-shoes angel act. Rather her stubborn nature she keeps in until she can yell in private, having to swallow her pride often and pretending the jokes about her love for humanity doesn’t bother her. Whilst trying hard to fit in as an angel worked for the first few centuries, the more time went by the more she stopped caring about keeping up with the act. Instead, she shrugged and rebelled, speaking her mind even when she shouldn’t. So it’s no wonder she got kicked out and became a fallen angel.

{History}
Much is unknown regarding Serafina’s history, after all, one day she was nothing and then the next – she came to be. An Angel’s history is not as important since they are created as they are, not growing up and ageing as humans do. However, Serafina has always secretly disliked being an Angel for as long as she can remember (which is an incredibly long time). Being an angel isn’t what it’s all cracked up to be and as someone who isn’t a high rank (nor tries to work her way to become one), she spends most of her time just observing humans from above and wanting to be one of them.

It would bring a pleasant change to actually live rather than merely exist and her superiors hate her for it. She is constantly mocked by her peers and told off by her elders for not trying harder to become a better Angel. The thing is Serafina is talented and as an Angel can do so much from getting promoted as a Guardian to running a department or area of the Earth. Her charming and patient nature would be perfect in any role given to her but that’s the problem; she never accepts any job. She rather just keep observing humans and dream about how life would be as one.

That isn’t to say Serafina believes being human is the greatest thing, after all, most humans would love to be in her position of being purely content and at ease; not to mention the powers and magic she possesses. Being a human is tough, there is so much negativity on Earth, so many troubles and anxieties that Serafina continues to question why humans make it hard for one another even though they were created the same really.

However, being a human means knowing the joys of actually living your life and creating your own purpose instead of being forced one upon yourself. As Serafina observed humans all her life, she observed their customs, their music, the food they eat and the clothes they wear. She’s seen it continuously evolve and sees love and care which washes away so much of the selfishness she sees on a daily basis. And she wants to experience it all.

Which is why when she realised the only way to do this was to do it the hard way, she took a chance. You see getting your wings clipped and falling from grace is a pretty difficult thing to do, and only a few rare occasions have led to it as Angels are quite forgiving creatures. So, she had to pull out all the stops and do something rash. The way humans have told the story of Fallen Angels and Angels, in general, isn’t completely wrong, but as centuries went by the rules and the way Angels worked evolved as well to become who they are now rather than the strict religion that humans stick too.

Serafina saved a life breaking too many rules to forgive. First of all, the life she saved was fated to die, it was a young man who was on his way to his fiancΓ©e and was destined to die in an accident along with a group of tourists due to a collision. So technically she saved the lives of many. Secondly, Angels are not involved in matters of death or anything related to it, that is another department with strict regulations and management. Finally, she showed herself to the young man who trembled in fear as his life was saved and told his cheating self that this was a sign he needed to change and be a better person. That was the final straw, Serafina involved herself in all the ways she wasn’t allowed to do, and a decision was made quickly for her to say goodbye to being an Angel.

So begins...

With a groan Serafina rubbed her eyes as she felt every bone in her body ache. It took her a minute to realise that her body was aching, that she was feeling a shooting pain somewhere and let out a surprised yelp when she applied pressure onto the left side of her ribcage. What is this? She thought to herself staring at her now bloodied hands.

What this sensation was that Serafina was experiencing for the first time was pain, specifically, her ribs were bruised and during the fall was in a state of physical shock. The blood on her hands was due to the deep cuts on her back from where her wings used to be and so for a few moments, Serafina silently cried in pain from the new sensation. After all, Angels didn’t feel pain or really anything, but she wasn’t an Angel anymore, she was fallen and with a human body.

It took Serafina a while to snap out of her shock once she realised the noise. It was so…noisy. She spent her entire existence enveloped in either silence or quiet nature noises, only experiencing noise when listening in on humans and even that was at an incredibly low volume. But here she was, finding herself tucked away in a side alley with so much noise that she now felt throbbing pain on the side of her head. Why is my head hurting now?

As she pushed herself to her feet but quickly feeling lightheaded, Serafina grabbed onto the nearest pole and stabled herself. Everything hurts. But standing around and complaining wasn’t going to do her any good so Serafina took a deep breath in and finally looked at her surroundings. It seemed like she was in an alleyway that was also the back of a restaurant judging from the bold sign and the lovely aroma she was smelling. Her stomach growled in hunger and she smiled. Is this what humans call hunger?

Before she could decide on what to do next, she was surprised by the metal door opening in front of her and a man walking out, seemingly done with his shift. He stared at the pink-haired hair girl in the white bloodied dress in awe, stumbling over his words before forcing out an ”are you alright?”

Serafina smiled, her very first human conversation and it was all so exciting. She touched her throat, wondering if she’d be able to speak their language. ”Oh, hello um,” she felt her throat dry up and coughed slightly ”yes, yes I’m okay just had a bit of a fall!”She looked down at her hands and wiped them on her dress before realising she was making it worse. As she looked up at the man, she noticed his trench coat and with a charming smile stepped forward.

”I got horribly lost and then clumsy me got a bit of a cut so I was just trying to just take some time to think about what to do and clean myself up,” she took another step forward towards the man, ”but you see, I’m quite a mess and I didn’t want to scare anyone so I was wondering…if it wasn’t too much of an ask for me to use your coat, just to cover up and find my way to the nearest hospital.

Serafina was now right in front of the man who seemed slightly less surprised. It was a good thing she still emitted that calming and gentle angelic aura because the man had now begun to take of his coat and quite nicely helped her slip into it. She quickly tied up the front and gave the man a peak on the cheek before walking out of the alley without even letting the man speak.

What she wasn’t ready for was the sheer amount of people crowded in groups as if they were fishes trapped in a can. The London noise was getting to be too much for her sensitive ears and the throbbing pain from her head was getting worse. Regardless, Serafina felt a burst of energy perhaps from the adrenaline now alive in her veins as she walked along normally and felt excited about her new journey. Although she had no idea where she was going, she didn’t care.

"Hold on -- that bint is pregnant? Damn, I didn't think she could get anyone to shag her by choice."

Akiyo sniggered, grabbing a chip off of her friend's plate. The three of them were seated in a corner booth of the restaurant they decide to frequent today. Said friends were: Olamilekan Okoye, aka Lee, Slytherin, the only heir of the famous pureblood family originally from Nigeria, and Sebastian Misiak, Ravenclaw, the second son and third child of a more lowkey pureblood family.

"Please," Sebastian muttered. "Strangely enough, she has absolutely no problem getting shagged. I'm more surprised that someone actually fancies her enough to bloody marry her."

"Hmm, that sounds about right. I apologize, I just don't pay as much attention to the sex lives of useless cows as you apparently do, Seb."

Sebastian tossed a chip at Akiyo's face in retaliation, cursing half-heartedly under his breath.

"As interesting as it is to talk about whoever's dicking down Akiyo's old enemies," Lee said, his voice laden with sarcasm, "I'm afraid I must take my leave. I have to meet a potential suitor."

Akiyo and Sebastian simultaneously grimaced.
"Good luck with your arranged marriage, mate," Akiyo said sympathetically. "We're just about done here, anyway. Cmon, Seb, let's go frequent those flower shops you're obsessed with."

Sebastian shoved Akiyo lightly as they walked out of the cafe. The two of them waved goodbye to Lee as they split off and walked in opposite directions.

"Flowers are interesting," Seb retorted, continuing their conversation. "Along with being a beautiful gift, there's just so many meanings behind them. It's more than just an empty gesture."

Akiyo lightly shoved Seb, shuffling closer to him.
"You know I'm just teasing, Seb. Honestly, I agree with you there -- flowers are great because of their underlying meanings. You know me, Seb; I like to send passive-aggressive bouquets to people who've always disliked me when the occasion strikes. They think I'm finally sucking up to them and all that tosh, but really I'm just insulting them under their nose. It's brilliant! Honestly, I'm just constantly amazed that you're such a romantic. I've known you for years, and it never fails to amuse me." Sebastian smirked in an attempt to hide his bashful expression, but Akiyo could see right through him. "Anywho, who are you buying flowers for this time?"

Seb looked around, before shuffling closer to Akiyo and whispering. "There's this bloke I met a few days ago, at one of those pureblood parties Lee's family likes to host, and I think we really hit it off. He's descended from a notable pureblood line, but he grew up in the Muggle world -- kinda like you, Akiyo -- so I thought it'd be nice to get Muggle flowers without any bells and whistles."

Not for the first time in her life, Akiyo was struck by how genuinely romantic and sentimental Seb was. Sebastian was the kind of guy who had a cold exterior and a reserved nature, but really, he was the biggest softie Akiyo knew.

Akiyo clapped a hand on Sebastian's shoulder, shaking him good-naturedly as they approached the flower shop she sought out for him earlier.
"Alright mate, take your time. I'll just be out here for a quick fag."

"You should really cut down on your smoking," Seb chided, but gave Akiyo a grateful smile before entering the flower shop.

Akiyo sighed, lighting a cigarette and taking a deep breath, letting the nicotine rush to her head in a pleasant buzz. She leaned against the wall, watching the bustling people on the streets. It was so much busier in London than it was in Akiyo's hometown of Inverness. In the rare times Akiyo left her flat, she would usually spend time people-watching, whether it be through a window at a cafe, or just while she took a quick smoke. It was an easy way to draw inspiration for characters in her mangas.

Whilst Akiyo scanned the crowd for particularly interesting people, she felt a pull that drew her eyes to a pink-haired woman. She was distinctly Asian (
as I would know), which was a much more common sight in London than it was in the recesses of Northern Scotland. The coat she wore was clearly too large for her -- Akiyo could appreciate a nice, oversized jacket, but she couldn't tell if the choice was intentional or spontaneous. Akiyo's attention was successfully piqued; this woman, with her pink hair and unique aura, was certainly a very original character.

I need to do something about the pain….and quickly, Serafina thought to herself, wincing ever so slightly as she took a deep breath in. Surely humans didn’t just live with their bodily pain and she had from her many decades of observing seen the progression of medicine so all she needed to do was get some help.

As she continued walking onwards with her bloodied hands stuffed into the pockets of the huge coat, Serafina kept a calm demeanour amidst all the noise and busyness of the London streets. In the back of her head, she wondered if it was a coincidence that she had fallen here; after all, London was one of Serafina’s favourite places to observe and seemed the most magical in her opinion.

It wasn’t until she noticed people staring at her that she suddenly felt a wave of uneasiness. Serafina made her way towards a large shop with glass windows and peered at her reflection in confusion. I don’t understand.

Were they staring at her pink hair? Serafina continued to stare at herself as glanced at the oversized coat. It could be pulled off as a fashionable choice since she was tall with distinctive features, perhaps people thought of her as what human’s called a model . In any case, she was feeling uncomfortable at all the attention. Her fellow Angels never cared to pay any attention to her and if they did it was mostly to mock or express their disappoint in her. Worryingly, Serafina raised her shoulders to her ears and stretched her back just to check that it wasn’t her wings that were causing all the attention. Another sharp pain caused her to inaudibly groan but the physical pain seemed to not matter as much as the sadness that was now bubbling inside her. It seemed that the adrenaline and excitement from earlier had worn off and now she was just a tired, sad and hungry fallen angel.

Looking back her reflection for one last time she gave herself an encouraging nod and forced herself to continue walking. Serafina scanned the crowd hoping to find any way of getting help and out of surprise stopped walking, right in the middle of a pedestrian crossing. The harsh sound of cars beeping snapped her out of her thoughts and with an embarrassed laugh she quickly crossed the road.

What Serafina had seen was a woman. Not just any woman, but a witch she had observed quite a few times. What was her name again? She thought as she walked towards the flower shop. Akiyo?

What am I even going to say? She was getting closer and couldn’t keep her eyes away from Akiyo. Hi, I know you, I basically watched you grow up … oh me? I’m just an Angel…a fallen Angel.

Finally, Serafina was now standing right in front of Akiyo and before she could even open her mouth to say hello, stumbled onto her knees and felt as if her head was about to explode.

To Akiyo's immense surprise, the pink-haired woman started walking directly towards her. Miss Pink didn't look particularly threatening, but there was a reason why Akiyo carried her wand arround, and she was willing to use it (after much practice, Akiyo gradually became more discreet with her spellcasting). Akiyo was fairly sure that it wouldn't be necessary, though; if Miss Pink somehow presented a threat, Akiyo had no problem throwing a punch or two.

"Hey, Akiyo, I got my bouquet," Sebastian walked out the flower shop, waving his bouquet. "I have to go now -- I checked the time in the shop, and it turns out Mother will be expecting me back soon. Floo call me when you're free, all right? Take care."

"You too, Seb." Sebastian waved goodbye as he walked away, probably towards somewhere he could easily Apparate from.

Akiyo continued smoking her cigarette, presenting no change in her demeanor even as the pink-haired woman stumbled right up to her. Miss Pink was now standing right in front of Akiyo, who just looked at her nonchalantly as she continued smoking. It wasn't until Miss Pink stumbled onto her knees, that Akiyo decided her blasΓ© exterior wasn't needed anymore.

"Hey, you all right?" Akiyo knelt down and grabbed the woman's arms to lift her up, when she noticed the absurd amount of blood on her hands. "Bloody hell, what happened to you? You need to get to the hospital. There's one just around the block. Here, I'll take you over." Akiyo very discreetly cast a mild feather-light charm on the woman -- all right, so perhaps Akiyo wasn't working out as much as she used to. As long as the ends are achieved, right?

Akiyo grabbed Miss Pink's left arm and heaved it over her own right shoulder. That way, Akiyo's dominant hand -- and her wand hand -- were free in case anyone tried some dirty business. Hopefully, even though Akiyo was supporting her weight, Miss Pink could start walking a little bit on her own -- Akiyo refused to bridal carry someone in the middle of London. The two of them started moving towards the hospital, slowly but surely.

As bad as it sounded, Akiyo was not one for random tokens of generosity, but even she couldn't leave some clearly injured woman out in the streets.
At least I can get more character inspiration from this woman. Imagine -- "pink-haired woman with a strange aura wanders up to me, Akiyo Kirishima, and collapses." What intrigue -- it's brilliant! How lucky am I to come across such an abnormally exciting woman?

"So, what's your name?" Akiyo asked. "Might as well get to know each other, considering the circumstances."

Serafina felt like her body was on fire and at this point, she didn't have a clue how to react. Her mind was buzzing and it felt like it was going to explode as it couldn't keep up with all the activity within her body, but with a sharp intake of breath managed to push her legs forward.

With the mention of a hospital, Serafina quickly looks up at Akiyo and shakes her head. A hospital would not do her any good and rather more questions would arise which she didn't have the time nor energy for. Serafina had only used the hospital as an excuse to the man she had met earlier as a way to explain her situation but by no means was she going there. As she opened her mouth to reply, the cuts on her back were starting to burn causing her to releases a quiet groan.

Is this what every Angel experiences when they fall? she thought to herself because this is not what I expected.

Slowing down Serafina forced herself to straighten up and come to a halt. Looking at Akiyo she gave a small smile, she must be curious enough to help me, that or just she was a lot kinder than she had first imagined.

"So here's the thing, I can't go to a hospital..." Serafina glanced over at the people walking past who seemed to not really care about the two women. "Its complicated and I much rather just handle this discreetly if I can." As she bit her lip she sighed, adding "If I knew this was going to happen I would have worn a combination of purple and green".

Hoping Akiyo was getting what she was implying, she felt herself getting more and more lightheaded. "This bleeding thing really is annoying, how do you guys handle it,"she mumbled under her breath.

Shaking her head to herself, she sighed at the thought of having to learn all about being human rather than simply observing them from above. "I'm Serafina by the way, nice to finally meet you," she finally answered.

"So here's the thing, I can't go to a hospital . . ." Miss Pink said. Akiyo furrowed a brow and stared at the woman, confused. What kind of person doesn't want to go to a hospital when they're bleeding out? Akiyo contemplated this and could only think of a few options. If this were America, then perhaps Akiyo could understand Miss Pink's reluctance a bit more, but as far as she knew, emergency services were free for everybody. Miss Pink could be a criminal on the run -- which would be extremely concerning -- or she could possibly be some magical creature. Everything in the wizarding world complicated itself.

"It's complicated and I much rather just handle this discreetly if I can." What's so complicated about healthcare? Miss Pink seemed quite insistent on avoiding the hospital -- which, in all honesty, was a bit of an inconvenience -- but Akiyo found the mystery quite intriguing, and was willing to entertain the pink-haired woman's requests.

Right now, there were too many possible answers in Akiyo's head as to why this woman was acting so strange, and there wasn't nearly enough evidence or clues to point her in the right direction.

"I'm Serafina by the way, nice to finally meet you," Miss Pink -- Serafina -- said. Akiyo made up her mind and grabbed Serafina gently, moving in the direction of her flat, which was fortunately nearby.

"Nice to meet you too!" Akiyo responded cheerily. "My name is Akiyo. It's Japanese -- it means 'clever life', or something along those lines. I'm taking you to my flat right now, since you can't go to the hospital. I have some medical training, and if I somehow can't do much, I have very capable friends I could call in to help you out. Sit tight, Serafina, I'm pretty good at what I do."

Since Akiyo couldn't determine the mystery that was the pink-haired Serafina, she quickly made the decision to take the woman to her flat. Akiyo had a plethora of potions on hand, including healing ones. She also had a decent supply of veritaserum; Akiyo planned to give Serafina the veritaserum under the guise of it being an anesthetic so she could get her answers, before treating her wounds and promptly Obliviate her.

"Serafina, eh? That's a cool name!" Akiyo smiled charmingly at a passerby who was looking at the two women suspiciously. The passerby quickly looked away, seemingly resigning to the fact that Akiyo was dragging her shit-faced friend back to her home, or something of the like. "Do you know the app Webtoon? It's kinda like an app for Korean comics. Anyway, there's this pretty popular one called unOrdinary. One of the main characters is named Seraphina, and her hair is magenta -- isn't that interesting? Alrighty, here's my flat." Akiyo walked into the tall building, nodding at the person in the lobby. "I live on the fourth floor."

Akiyo edged Serafina into the elevator, letting her lean against the wall as Akiyo stretched her shoulder. She clearly did not exercise much, if her straining muscle was any indication.

After opening the door and shuffling the both of them in, Akiyo pointed at the couch.
"You can lie down over there. Sorry about the mess by the way, I'm not the most organized of people. Just take it easy, I'll get an anesthetic for you first. You'll have to drink it though."

Akiyo went into the hallway, opening the hidden door of the flat's second bedroom, which Akiyo outfitted into a potion-brewing lab. Akiyo grabbed a basket, placing a bunch of healing potions in it, before finally grabbing a bottle of her precious veritaserum. She then went into the kitchen, pouring Serafina a glass of water and adding two tablet of a mild painkiller, before discreetly squeezing three drops of veritaserum into the mixture.

"Here's the painkiller," Akiyo walked back into the living area, handing Serafina the glass. "It'll taste a little bitter. I know it doesn't seem like it'll be that effective, considering that it's a soluble pill, but my friend supplies me with these -- it's perfectly safe and strong as hell -- it works wonders! You have to drink the whole glass though, as bitter as it tastes. Also, you'll need to take your clothes off so I can access whatever wounds you have. If it's too painful for you, just tell me where the wounds are and I'll help you out."

Akiyo busied herself with setting up her healing serums as she waited for Serafina to drink all the water, and for the veritaserum to take effect. Once she did, Akiyo grabbed a Wound-Cleaning Potion, waiting for Serafina to do whatever she needed to do, before saying, "I find it best to make conversation during this process to distract you from the pain. So, why couldn't you go to the hospital? I'm interested in the entire story, if you don't mind -- today has been an intriguing day, if I do say so myself. Also, why did you come up to me of all people? You seemed quite . . . determined in your approach."

Serafina smiled, grateful with Akiyo's cheery response and the fact that she wasn't pushing her to go to a hospital. It would be hard to explain everything and by hard she meant she couldn't tell her anything really. Serafina was pretty sure even if she tried to tell her about the whole fallen Angel thing she would only cause more trouble, plus even though she was fallen it didn't mean she fell from grace because she had turned evil or anything. She had merely done this on purpose to be able to experience human life and get rid of her boring existence which was turning out to be a hell of a lot more trouble than she planned.

As Akiyo then went on about a webtoon, Serafina shook her head "oh no, I haven't heard of that I'm afraid," she replied quietly. It's a type of book...online book with pictures no? she thought to herself, which would make sense since she had observed Akiyo doing a lot of drawings, presumably for this webtoon thing she was talking about.

Before she knew it they were both inside what it seemed to be Akiyo's flat and following her instructions Serafina made her way to the couch. Collapsing onto the comfy pillows she let out a sigh of relief, her legs were still shaking but at least now she could rest. She watched as Akiyo left the room only to come back with a glass of what she said would help with the pain.

Serafina took the glass and smiled, it was obvious that it was spiked with something magical but she thought it would be better to just pretend she hadn't noticed. Although she couldn't exactly tell what Akiyo had put in the glass other than the painkillers she had mentioned, she knew one thing for sure; wizard magic wouldn't affect her. Her body was human sure in the sense that she had blood running through her veins and could feel everything, but inside she was still an Angel. Albeit all her angelic powers were suppressed and she didn't know whether they could be triggered to the surface again yet that doesn't change the fact that she wasn't your normal run of the mill muggle.

Without raising suspicion Serafina finished the whole glass of the mysterious liquid in one gulp and looked over at Akiyo with a subtle grin. She gently put the glass down on the nearby coffee table and began to take of the trenchcoat slowly as she could feel the blood sticking to it. Biting her lips in order to quiet down her groans she dropped the coat onto the fall and sighed at the state of her. "I'm going to need help with my dress...I'm pretty sure it's stuck to my back because of the blood.". It seemed as if Akiyo had grabbed something else but it seemed somewhat more harmless than the drink.

"I find it best to make conversation during this process to distract you from the pain. So, why couldn't you go to the hospital? I'm interested in the entire story, if you don't mind -- today has been an intriguing day, if I do say so myself. Also, why did you come up to me of all people? You seemed quite . . . determined in your approach."

It took Serafina a moment to realise that perhaps she was secretly getting questioned, like in those human crime movies right? But this witch was not going to get much out of her, unfortunately. Serafina assumed that management up there probably had set everything up so that Angels who did fall (although rarely) could never let their existence be known to anyone on Earth. After all, Angels had a solution for everything.

"Well, like I said it's all very complicated and truthfully I can't remember much," which technically wasn't a lie. One day she was an Angel committing a crime on purpose and then the next she opens her eyes and is on Earth. "I'm afraid the entire story isn't solely mine to tell so I can't say much, but I guess you seemed like a nice enough person to help me out so I just took the chance." With a shrug she leaned in forward, "I'm not from here, I think I must have bumped my head or something since everything in my head is all fuzzy. Again, technically not a lie.

Akiyo helped Serafina out of her dress, and was met with a surprising collection of wounds on her backside. How the hell did this happen?

"Well, like I said it's all very complicated and truthfully I can't remember much," Akiyo began applying the Wound-Cleaning potion on Serafina's back. "I'm afraid the entire story isn't solely mine to tell so I can't say much, but I guess you seemed like a nice enough person to help me out so I just took the chance. I'm not from here, I think I must have bumped my head or something since everything in my head is all fuzzy.

Serafina's explanation was completely and utterly unsatisfactory. I seemed like a nice enough person? I was literally smoking, and it's not like I have a babyface or anything. Serafina seemed to be resisting the veritaserum, enough to either lie or make her answers truthful but vague, which was incredibly infuriating, although Akiyo made sure not to show any expression indicating her internal thoughts. That, or her sanity was questionable. If Serafina could resist veritaserum, then the options of who she was narrowed considerably. She could be one of the few muggles who could unconsciously practice Occlumency, but Akiyo quickly struck that option out; Serafina was far too . . . unordinary to be a basic muggle. The most probable option was that Serafina was either a powerful witch, or some other magical creature.

"Can you tell me anything about how you acquired these wounds?" Akiyo prompted. "It would be helpful towards the healing process if I knew what caused these, so I know what to do specifically. Also, I've been wondering, what ethnicity are you? I'm half Japanese on my dad's side," Akiyo offered. "Where are you from, if you're not from here? Sorry for the barrage of questions, but I'm sure you understand that you are providing very little information about who you are, and I would rather know who I let into my home." Akiyo flashed Serafina her signature charismatic smile so her words wouldn't come across as too serious or too harsh.

"And hey, if I look like a nice enough person to help you out, I'm sure there's no harm in telling me all your secrets," Akiyo joked. "Not to worry, I won't use whatever you say to rob you or anything. I have no need or interest to waste my energy on such activities."

Serafina winced ever so slightly and wondered how bad the wounds on her back were. She hoped that no loose feathers were stuck to her but then again if they were she could just shrug it off to a case of falling onto stray bird feathers. As Akiyo tended to her wounds she also continued with her questioning much to Serafina's dismay. I guess this is normal though, I mean who wouldn't be filled with questions in these circumstances.

After Akiyo was done with her first set of questions Serafina straightened her back and glanced around the room, taking in the books and furniture that filled it up. The flat seemed like a pretty nice space to call your own and Serafina wondered if she had to now consider living like a typical human, she'd have to learn how to first thought .

"In terms of the wounds and the state I'm in I think I must have had an accident or something. I can only assume that since when I opened my eyes my head felt like it was splitting open and I couldn't remember how I got to be here."

The question of ethnicity was the one that caught Serafina by surprised although her facial expressions remained calm and she didn't give anything away. How exactly would she respond to that? She had no ethnicity really, no place of belonging. She was just simply an Angel. Angels never had these sorts of categories, they only had one; Angel or Human. After observing humans and their love of categorising each other into labels and boxes, classes and races of people to be more precise, she found the whole thing quite confusing. The core of them all were the same right? Humans

But from the information, she had gathered over her entire existence and knowledge about humans she figured she could just put herself into a box that seemed the most likely. "I was born in Sydney since my parents settled there after they got married but ethnically I'm Chinese. She smiled, "I've always wanted to travel to Japan," again technically not a lie, Serafina wanted to travel everywhere, "but after my parents passed away I just tried to live day by day," better to tie any loose family ends there. "I would tell you all my secrets" she laughed quietly, "if I could remember them that is."

After a few moments, Serafina buried her face in her hands as if to seem frustrated. "That's alright, it's understandable and hopefully you know I'm not a threat just totally confused with what's happening," Serafina sighed with a troubling look on her face to sell the whole story.

Akiyo was surprised at how calm Serafina was about her current state -- well, considering her circumstances. "This looks like a pretty serious accident," Akiyo commented. "I can't imagine what you could've possibly done to have this happen. That, or someone attacked you." Maybe Serafina did have an accident and subsequent amnesia, but even if that was all she could remember, Akiyo wasn't satisfied with such vague explanations. Deciding to take things into her own hands, she mumbled, "Legilimens," so quietly that the noises of Akiyo's potion bottles and salve-applying was sure to cover it up. Akiyo was met with a wall, and although frustrated, it wasn't completely surprising to her. If Serafina could resist veritaserum, at least to the point where she was able to prevent herself from releasing all her secrets in a relentess word vomit, then it was to be expected that she would have some skill at occlumency. Despite all her efforts, Serafina was still a mystery to Akiyo.

When Serafina mentioned her deceased parents, Akiyo felt a faint pang of sympathy.
"I'm sorry about your parents," Akiyo murmured. "My mother passed away as well, although it didn't really affect me, since I never knew her.

"Alrighty, looks like I'm done,"
Akiyo leaned back, setting down her potions. She didn't do an extensive amount of healing at all, but the potions she applied helped kickstart it. Originally, Akiyo was going to heal Serafina as much as she possibly could before Obliviating her completely, but after Akiyo's failed attempts at magic on the pink-haired woman, she decided that she wasn't going to risk it. "It's obviously not completely healed -- I'm not magic, after all -- but I've cleaned your wounds, and the salves I've applied are accelerating the healing process. I recommend that you change your bandages regularly, and apply some of the salves in between each change. Here, I'll go get you some." Akiyo took her potions and retreated back to her illusioned potion room. Fortunately for Akiyo, her potion bottles were fairly inconspicuous. After portioning off enough of the salve to heal Serafina's wounds, Akiyo transfigured the bottles into something even more muggle than what she was already using.

"Here," Akiyo handed Serafina a small bag. "There's stuff for the pain, as well as a cleansing and healing salve."

Serafina shrugged ever so slightly, "I hope I wasn't attacked, although I don't have any of my belongings so I'm not sure if they were lost or taken." She expertly lied, feeding information but nothing really concrete or of use.

She sat still and patiently waited for Akiyo to finish up with tending to her wounds. Her story about her deceased parents must have been effective as Akiyo replied back confirming the similar status of her own mother. Although Serafina would like to say she felt bad about lying, she really didn't mostly because she didn't understand the nature of losing a loved one. Angels were created as they were and simply existed on their own. They didn't live or die so the concept was unfamiliar to her regardless of her observations. But she did know she needed to become close to Akiyo in order to survive on Earth.

Finally, after a while Akiyo had finished and stepped back, making a comment about magic which made Serafina smile ever so slightly. "I wouldn't be so sure, I feel like you're a little bit magical..." she looked down at her white dress which was ruined by all the blood, "I mean, you must be an Angel helping a stranger like me out so."

Serafina accepted the bag gratefully and smiled, "I may be asking for too much, but do you perhaps have a change of clothes?" She could hardy leave wearing her bloodied dress, and not wearing it at all wasn't an option either.
