Personality:
Disregarding the fact that she is a mercenary, Chloe is a rather nice and polite person. Reserved, but she doesn’t talk rudely to others. Most of the time, she follows her orders down to every detail, but had also done reckless things on occasion. She can be quite reckless, heading off into dangerous missions, without any thought of risk vs. reward.

Upon seeing Iruga, she changes into a somewhat different person. She becomes more irritable around him, getting mad at him for the slight annoyance. Some people have even claimed that she was tsundere towards him.

Appearance:
Chloe has white hair and bright yellow eyes. People usually claim that she looks like a cat because of this. She usually goes formal, as expected of one of the hired guns of Abend. She is quite short making her seems younger than her true age.

Equipment/Abilities:
Being a regular human, Chloe has the short end of the upgrade stick as compared to the other inhabitants of the current world. Her magic is poor due to lack of magical blood in her lineage. Despite this, her mercenary training enables her to fight head on against other inhabitants and she compensates for her lack of magic with her weapons and abilities.

Magic:Chloe is poor in this category, due to being a human. Most of her spells only affect her and usually come in the form of physical augmentations.

Speed Burst - A spell she uses to increase her movement speed at around 1.5X faster than normal. It doesn’t take too long to cast and cool down but it doesn’t last too long either. (10seconds)

Weapons:Being a mercenary of the Schwarze Abend faction, Chloe is trained in the utility of several weapons ranging from guns, swords and others. She has a high level of marksmanship so she usually uses guns. She prefers to carry light weapons around her to further utilize her speed.

ES Five SeveN x2 – Chloe’s main weapon of choice, she wields a pair of these handguns in order to take on multiple targets at once (two to be exact). It doesn’t do much damage but quite lethal when used in close range. They are stored on her legs, beneath her skirt. (Main)

Knife x2 – Chloe’s only melee weapon. A pair of them is stored on the back of her waist for easy access. They are modified to be able to increase temperature turning them into heated blades. The heating process takes some time but can be used to cut through steel and armour. (Main)

SG550 x1 – A standard semi-automatic sniper rifle that Chloe uses, it deals the most damage as compared to the two other weapons but it get ditched faster after using up all of its ammunition.

Weapons Binder x2 (Optional): For prolonged or large scale battles, Chloe can utilize the weapons binder, an armaments container that looks like a large black guitar case. Inside it has: MP5 submachine gun x2 (one on each), SSG-08 sniper rifle x1(only on one container), XM1014 shotgun x1 (only on one container), M60 machine gun x1(only on one container), M4A1-S assault rifle x 1 (only on one container), Wakizashi x2 (one on each) and HE grenades x8. (four on each). These are mounted on her legs and are equipped with thrusters to compensate for the speed. Inefficient, she rarely brings the entire containers along and prefers to just get what she needs before going on missions.

Mecha: XCVL - 03 Phenex Breaker x1: A Second Generation Breaker that Chloe received from Schwarze's Chairman to use in her diplomatic missions. It is capable of transforming into a fighter mode for faster atmospheric flight though it is still capable of flying in humanoid mode. It is armed with a beam rifle, two beam sabers stored on the waist, and grenade launchers near its wrist guards.

Abilities:These are abilities that Chloe has gained throughout her life. Compared to her magic or weapons, these abilities are permanent though some may require charging or prior activation.

Physical Augment – A passive, permanent spell cast on her during her time at training, this spell enhances the strength of her limbs and body, granting her the ability to jump up to two stories and survive a fall from five. It also enables her to carry a standard KM5 submachine gun with one hand.

Marksmanship – Chloe has a high marksmanship honed and trained throughout time.

Presence Mask – Chloe has a low presence in the battlefield, enhancing her stealth and assassination abilities. (Maybe it’s because of her height?)

Konoha – An innate ability that she inherited from her lineage. Its effects give her sharper senses and higher accuracy. This is an ability that she has to activate beforehand and lasts for a maximum of three minutes and is signaled by Chloe’s right eye turning green. Fully mastered and fully charged, this skill will last for a full five minutes and the wielder may experience a speed boost of up to 2x the regular movement along with the ability to snipe a target, 5 kilometers away, a feat that Chloe herself has yet to achieve.

History:
Chloe was raised by a family of renowned mercenaries back at the Shwarze Abend faction. She was raised to become a mercenary as well, in accordance to their family tradition. They participated in the faction war, where she lost her entire family. In pursuit of a means of sustenance, she travels all over the new world, lending her services as a mercenary. On paper, she is no longer part of the faction but the higher-ups found some use for her, seen in how she constantly gets supplies to maintain her weapons.

It was on one fateful mission when she was assigned to hunt a rare behemoth that she met Iruga of Izumo. The man managed to earn the kill, even though it was her target. Ever since then, she has been chasing him around while on the other hand, he accomplishes her missions, forcing her to go unpaid. She tries to ignore him but he annoys her so much that she can’t maintain her calm around him for more than ten seconds.

Trivia:

She has a thing for sweets.
She gets irritated when someone comments on her height (5'3).
She prefers wearing feminine clothing.

Strengths and Weaknesses: Going by her general characteristics, Chloe is strong against other humans and knights. On the other hand, she is weak against magic, half-beasts, demons, angels, mechas and automatons.

"Magus?" Chloe asked her superior as she sat at a sort of briefing area by a large corporate building. "Yes." The woman adjusted her glasses. "There is a rare bloodline of magus who excel at their spellcasting. Their lives are placed in peril during that process though." She stressed further. "I want you to take her and bring her here. We'll compensate you for your troubles. Any questions?"

Chloe thought hard. "Just one. What do you intend to do with her?" She asked.

"We'll convince her to join our side. As you can see, our company is slightly falling back in the arms race. We'll need her magical prowess to keep up with the others."

Chloe snapped back to reality. She was remembering the instructions given to her by her employer. Alive, and in perfect condition. That's how she needs to bring back the target. She was waiting by the nearby coffee shop adjacent to a bakery nearby. She was within the territory of the Order, waiting for her target to arrive.

"This can go both ways. I can either convince her to come or I'll have to knock her out. Either way, it will be risky." She thought as she took a sip from her cup. It was noon, yet she was still waiting around, anticipating whether or not her target would arrive.

Grace had eaten her cake at the bakery very slowly. Even though she's been with the Order for the past five years, she still felt alone. Then again, why shouldn't she feel alone. Grace never was good at making any friends. The closest she got to friendship was with Skye but that was it... Grace had respected him for trying and had a huge crush on him ever since. She stopped and checked her wrist once again.
"Fifty spells..."
No matter how many times she would repeat it, the phrase would never truly sink in. Grace would die after she used fifty more spells. Unless she can find someone to spend the rest of her life with.
"How on Earth am I supposed to do that?"
Grace frowned to herself and then noticed that the air around her had changed.
'Someone is nearby...'
Grace gripped onto one of her throwing knives as she surveyed the area around her. She then noticed a girl with short white hair and golden eyes.
'What is she doing here...? More importantly, why is she staring directly at me?'
Grace's grip tightened slightly. Questions raced on inside her mind. Was the girl a threat? Was she part of the order and she never noticed? If not, what faction does she come from? The girl looked like she came from Schwarze Abend but did she still work there? Does she have a connection with Skye? She noticed that the girl mumbled to herself.
'Well... I suppose now is as good of a time as any to drink some tea... Maybe we can discuss this like rational people.'
With that, Grace sealed her fate. She took a deep breath and entered the coffee shop. The waitress greeted her.
"Oh, hello again, Miss Grace. Do you want the usual order?"
Grace nodded curtly. The woman smiled.
"Okay, I'll go get it set up."
Grace bowed and then walked over to the girl with the white hair.
"I've noticed you were staring at me. Care to enlighten me as to why you would do that?"
On the outside she was stoic but inside she was shaking. It was times like these that she wished Skye or her parents were here. She would have felt much safer with them instead of on her own. Regardless, Grace continued to stare at the girl, taking a seat across the table the white haired woman was sitting in.

She was right, her target did arrive at the location. She even went inside the same coffee shop she had stayed in. "I've noticed you were staring at me. Care to enlighten me as to why you would do that?" She asked gracefully, an air that she has expected from someone coming from the Order. "I'll get straight to the point then." Chloe took a sip from her coffee before she began. "The TSL Institute has expressed an interest in your magical abilities and would want you to assist them in weapons development and research. I'm a freelance mercenary sent to pick you up." Chloe finished her drink and stood up.

"They did want me to come back with you along, so I'm afraid I'll need you to cooperate." She let a part of her jacket slide, revealing the ES Five-Seven that was holstered there. And just in case, she had already set her weapons binder somewhere within close proximity. "Would you come with me please?"

Skye stared at the man darkly. "This is absurd. I told you, I have nothing to do with the Order anymore." He frowned. The man across him slowly sipped his drink. "We just need you to patrol around the Order. They must already know you, so we have no choice but to send you." "I told you, I dislike it there." Skye said. "Besides, why don't you send the other transfers from the Order there instead of me?" The man put a hand on his shoulder. "Skye, I know this is hard for you. But I heard that a certain institute sent a freelancer mercenary to pick a certain magician you know very well up." The white-haired knight thought for a while before realizing. "What would an institute want from Grace?" He glared at the man.

"I don't know the details, so you go find out by yourself." The man then stood up. "Go now, Skye. Please." Skye finally sighed and stood up. "Fine, I'm going. Only for Grace though." He muttered before turning heel and leaving. Back at the Order, the only friend he had made was that magician, Grace Alaris. She was kind to him, but alas, he left for Izumo when he was given the chance. He no longer bore the symbol of the Bleeding Dragon- He now had the serpent on the full moon. After a while, he found himself walking around the all-too-familiar grounds of the Order. Finally coming to a coffee shop his mother would take him to sometimes in his childhood, he saw a white-haired woman and....Grace?

This new girl wore clothes that made her look like she was in Schwarze Abend. But from what he heard a while ago, she was a freelancer. "My guess is that she used to be in Schwarze Abend, but became a freelancer instead." He looked down and entered the place, quietly staring at the two women. "Interesting." The knight had his own weapons prepared in case this new girl had some to fight.

Grace continued to stare at the white haired girl. She was definitely glad that she was explaining herself.
'It would seem that miss Mercenary is a rational person after all.'
Miss Mercenary was talking about the TSL needing her magic capabilities.
"TSL? So, even they are in danger. Tell me, do they have earnest reasons for needing my magic?"
If Grace was going to be stupid enough to kill herself, then it better be for the right reasons. Her thoughts were halted when Miss Mercenary let a bit of her jacket slide off to reveal an ES 57.
"They did want me to come back with you along, so I'm afraid I'll need you to come along. Would you come with me please?"
If Grace was inwardly afraid before, she was inwardly terrified at this point. By then, the bell had jingled open and a familiar face walked in. Skye Advent never took a seat but instead stared at the two of them.
'It must be killing him to be in Order territory, even for my sake...'
A slight blush made its way on her face as she realized that he only came here for her sake.
'Could he possibly...? No, it was impossible.'
Even if he did, did he really want to spend his life with her? The questions regarding Skye would have to wait. Right now she needed to focus on Miss Mercenary and her ES 57. A brief smile flickered across her face.
"Are you by any chance threatening me? That gun of yours is impressive but you seem like the type who has done her homework. You look like you know that my spells are finite and that I can't just cast them without my own life depleting. I understand that you have your reasons so please understand that I have mine. Now, tell me, are the TSL earnest in needing my magic?"
Grace kept a grip on her throwing knife, hoping Skye noticed Miss Mercenary's gun like she did.

"Whatever reasons they have are unclear to me at this point. I'm just their delivery girl on their job. If you really want to know, ask them at the institute yourself." Chloe further emphasized her mission. She saw a half-beast enter the shop that they were in. "Understand that TSL is a munitions company, that deals with the weapons distribution around the affected areas. If anything, it is safe assumption that they won't force you to use spells, rather they might just study your mana flow."

She walked in and handed her a piece of scrap paper with some coordinates on it. "I am supposed to pick you up at this location later evening. If you don't arrive, they might send me to track you and take you by force." She turned around to leave the establishment. Along the way, she brushed past the half-beast. "It's pretty rude to eavesdrop, Doggy-kun." She whispered softly before leaving the shop. She figured she might as well find out more about TSL's motive. "Only one way to find out..."

Four hours before the time assigned to pick-up Grace Aralis, their "target", Chloe infiltrated inside the Institute main production plant. She carefully navigated around the area while until she could find a terminal she could hack to disable the security cameras. After the deed, she made her way to the main production plant; or at least the production area's ceiling. She saw her contractor walking around, speaking with someone.

"Once we acquire that witch, we will be able to create a formula that can nullify magic. We can integrate it to our weapons, and the tides will turn to our side." She heard her say.

"How do you propose on doing that?"

"Extracting her blood, of course."

"Then that means--"

"Well, obviously the girl dies. Common sense please." The woman snapped some fingers at the corporate she was talking to. "Relax, it's just one wish from a ruined lineage who won't be missed."

"So that's what's going on!" Chloe immediately fled the area, retreating back into the hotel room she was staying at. There she thought long and hard, whether to turn Grace in or not. Only two hours remain until Chloe rendezvous with her at the meeting place which is an old harbor, if she does. She turned to her weapons binder, finally reaching a conclusion.

At the harbor later that evening. A group of employed soldiers of the TSL institute arrive at the harbor only to find Chloe standing alone on one of the ruined ships, with the weapons binders on her legs. "What's going on Chloe? Where is the witch?"

Chloe closed her eyes. "No turning back now..." She looked at them in the eye and spoke out. "Too bad. She won't be coming tonight." She immediately shot the leader twice on both shoulders before jumping and ducking behind the walls of the ship. "This plan is based on the assumption that you won't come. Do me a favor and run away with your prince, Magician Grace Aralis. You'll owe me one for this." She started a gun fight against thirty people. Though they may have the number, Chloe still had the weapons binder with her. She opened one and took out her M4A1-S. Determined, she employed hit and run tactics to outgun her opponents. Even still, thirty people was still thirty people. They still had the advantage of numbers.
