He's an average height for a man, and he's built like someone that has swift evasion as his strong suit. He might not be overpowering a beef-bag, but he's quick on his feet due to his size and agility.
His style of dress is pretty typical. There's nothing special about it, and he doesn't care about what he wears or what he even looks like. He does happen to know that he looks great in a prison jumpsuit, as he's spent quite a bit of time in there. There's not much more to say about him other than he's a man, nothing more, nothing less, nothing special. He looks like your every day trouble-maker, and you'd know it by just one glance.
Flynn Rider is usually seen in something that he can easily get away in; a blouse and some trousers. He's normally more clean-shaven, but he doesn't mind a little shadow every now and again. He's a ladies man, so looks are everything to him.

At first glance, he's just a criminal - good for nothing, yet oddly charming in that way that makes you want to be cautious but also to throw it to the wind. He definitely has looks going for him, as it gets him out of a lot of situations that would be otherwise troublesome. He's a dashing bad boy, loves the ladies, enjoys a good time, but is never one to be tied down. In his deepest depths, he's just a young man seeking something that he never had as a child - power, security - anything. He wants to be at the top of the mountain, never at the foothills. He likes to always reach for better things, even if he has it good in the present. He believes that he can always have more, get more, etc. There isn't a lot that people can do to stop him. For a time, during the ten years he was married to Rapunzel, he was a Prince that the people of the Kingdom fell in love with. It was almost like the man that he was had melted away, and he had become a doting husband and a loyal royal. It would seem that he could be satisfied by love. As always, no one ever gets their true happily ever after, and his soft sensitive side slipped away to make room for the selfish thief he's always been.
John is a little different, and that's probably because he can't be a prince or steal a tiara from some lost princess. He's still a horrible womanizer and a criminal, but he doesn't seem to have a sensitive side to him at all. In fact, he has no empathy for other, and he doesn't know why. A life led primarily behind bars and on the streets must have made him a hardened personality that is tough to crack. He can put the charm on for the ladies, but he's more than willing to fuck someone over in a heartbeat. He's rude, sarcastic, and generally just hates life and people.

They are swift and athletic, able to jump, scale gates and walls, and run for long periods of time. It's really hard to catch him, and most people give up after a couple of minutes. Other than those things, he has skills that many criminals possess - stalking, hunting down targets, spotting prey, and more. He doesn't have a lot of physical strength, but he's not going to be caught long enough to worry about being beaten up because he can wiggle his way out of any situation. His thinking is about as quick as his feet, and he adapts easily to sudden changes in situations.

He loved to read books about adventure, and while reading a take about Flynn Rider to some of the kids, he decided to take that name. After all, Flynn Rider was the man that Eugene wanted to be deep down inside. When he turned 16, he left the orphanage to pursue greener pastures, but often ended up worse off than he imagined. When poverty struck him hard and his nomadic lifestyle earned him the homeless title, he took to a life of crime. In the beginning, they were minor things like food theft and sleeping where he shouldn't. Overtime his learned to be more swift and light-fingered, and he was soon snatching coin purses and jewels to trade for money. Flynn rider became a thief, a conman, and a criminal. He put his skills to use in ways that were not legal, and when things got rough - he counted on his good looks to get him out of sticky situations.
He started to run was the Stabbington Brothers; a family duo rooted in the criminal underworld and more... ambitious criminal pursuits. They were contracted to steal the crown of the princess of Corona, and he successfully completes this job. Of course, because Flynn Rider is a complete and utter asshole with dreams of grandeur of his own, he left the Stabbington Brothers behind during a pursuit from the King's soldiers. To further evade the scouting party sent from him, he slipped into some strange cave that led to a clearing with a looming tower.
This tower is Rapunzel's, and he climbs up in hopes of finding a place to crash for the night until the heat died down a bit. However, he was confronted by the tenacious blonde, fry-panned, tied up by locks of hair, and was ultimately forced to serve as a guide. She hid his precious crown and told him that she would give it back once he takes her to see the lights in the sky and then returns her to the tower safely. He agrees but attempts to dissuade her by taking her to more unsavory parts of the kingdom. Not that it helped at all. Flynn and Rapunzel saw the lights, fell in love, there was a thought that he betrayed her, he came back, he was rescued by some ruffians at the Cuddly Ducking, killed the step-mother, returned the princess to the Kingdom, and he was soon married to the Princess to live a happily ever after in the Kingdom of Corona. He thought that he would love this life and that nothing would be able to stand in the way of it, but he was wrong.
Ten years later, an evil sorceress learned about Rapunzel's magic. She used her magic, along with Flynn's easy to manipulate personality, and slowly drove a dark divide between the Prince and Queen of Corona. She promised him that he could be King, and that he wasn't the type to be beneath a woman. His heart was heavy for Rapunzel, but his mind and his personality were ultimately warped and overshadowed it. Slowly but surely, she coaxed him to her side and revealed that his greed weighed more than his love, and they both conspired to take over the Kingdom. He traded Rapunzel for the Kingdom, and the sorceress placed one of her step-daughters in her place, transforming her appearance to mimic the Queen. The copy-cat declared Flynn Rider as King because of an illness that would kill her soon. The people loved Flynn Rider.

He has always been a grifter, just some con on the streets looking for someone to cheat. He has spent at least five years in jail for battery and several break-ins. He's never had a home or a steady job. Until recently, at least. A year ago he moved to Essex, and he isn't sure why he found the place appealing. He found a job as a gas station attendant. However, he still ends up in jail every now again for a variety of reasons.
