History:
Vala was born an only child in a busy city. She was like really born in the streets. Her mother a runaway teen had her in the streets after being raped by a 40 year old man. Vala was then left in the garbage bin to die. When the trash man oddly came four days later. He heard a crying coming from the bin. He told the guy driving that they needed to go to the hospital. They brought Vala to the doctor and they thought her very cute and lucky to have survived for four or five days in a trash bin. Without food or water and without love. They placed her in an incubator and cared for her till she got bigger. Vala was always fed by this one nurse. The nurse had come to grow close and she decided to adopt Vala. The nurse took her home a week or two later and raised her in an apartment.
Vala’s adoptive mother got married when Vala was only 7 and the man was very big and mean. Vala’s adoptive mother thought that getting married to him would help their living situation. It didn’t! Vala turned 10 when things went downhill. Vala’s adoptive mother was getting abused by her step-father. She one day was hit way to hard over the head and died. Vala had watched the whole thing and quickly called 911 and her step-father got arrested. Being only ten she went to social services and was raised the rest of her life in group home. She was kicked out at 18 and ended up in the wrong sorts of crowds. By selling things on the black market. At twenty-two she questioned herself and asked her mother for help. Never knowing she was adopted until a friend close to her mother that had baby sat her contacted her. Asking her what she was doing Vala told her story and listened as she heard the beginning of her story too.
She decided to get her butt in gear and figure out what she wants out of life. She did she wanted to be an FBI agent and so she got to work on it. She did research and got herself involved in the schooling process and then moved on to getting involved in the FBI. She has just gotten in and can’t wait to be put on a team and start.

Quantico, Virginia || Behavioral Analysis Unit || 4:07 AM

Jay walked into the BAU Headquarters with an unrealistically large cup of coffee in her hand, skimming over the case file she held in he other hand, a day trip bag slung over her shoulder. Between her ear and shoulder was her cell phone. "Look, I understand that we haven't been invited into the case yet, but there's no point in arguing about it because I'm the single most famous Media Liaison in the bureau and you can bet your ass that I have the ability to get my team invited in, whether it costs you your job or not. So shut up and get your place ready for us!" She speedwalked her way into the meeting room and set her cup down on the table, almost splashing the contents all over. "Why don't these people just invite me in before I have to be all serious sounding?"

Soon enough, she had the file contents up on the screen, scattering the paper files across the table as the other Agents came into the room. "Alright guys, who's ready to bust some criminal ass?" Flipping the remote control behind her with practice ease, Jaymie's slides changed. "This one's a doozy. We have a potential serial killer out loose in Sacramento California, three dead victims with the exact same wounds." Yet another slide change. This time, the screen was covered with the bloodied bodies of three brunette women. "This is Alice James, a 28 year-old prostitute. She was killed four days ago. Her body was found in an alley, naked and partially hidden underneath trash." Jaymie explained, motioning to a picture on the screen.

"These two are Mariah and Mary Jane Foster, 19 year-old identical twins who were apparently abducted from their High School. Their deaths have been put at about 4 PM yesterday and their bodies were found in front of their school, also naked but not hidden. All three bodies have been robbed of their eyes and there is evidence of sexual moves made on all three victims." Jaymie flipped to the pictures of the twin teens. She smiled sarcastically and let out a sigh. "Ah, the joys of the FBI! Anyhow, the Sacramento Police Department has just invited us into the investigation, courtesy of my wonderfully effective charm~"

Mark strolled into the BAU quickly as usual, rushing his way after Jaymie as he took his seat at the table. The briefing began as Jaymie did her thing, pushing buttons and showing off her picture skills, all the while explaining the case. As soon as she finished he began his part of the ranting speech. "Well, if we've been invited in then we aren't really in a position to turn down a case. What did the Chief say?" He asked. "She said we have to go because we haven't had a case in over 24 hours. Jaymie's unprofessional smirk told the story. "Alright then, it's settled. I'm going to assume we're all packed and ready to go to California. Just in case some of us are behind, we leave in an hour. Meet back here in 40."

The team dispersed, some sticking around to ask questions and others heading out to their desks or back home to pack. Mark walked to his office while skimming over the case files. "Hey boss. Last minute message, Chief of Division wants you in her office ASAP. Jaymie gestured towards the door at the end of the platform. Mark almost cringed at the thought of having to see the woman, but sucked it up and strode into her office, straightening his tie as he entered. "You wanted to speak to me, ma'am?" The woman sitting at the desk looked up to the man clad in suit. "Yes, Agent Harris, I did. I want to let you know that there is to be no foolery with this case like there was with the last one. I expect you and your team to follow protocol, stay within your boundaries. And please tell Agent Gallahan to stop threatening the media."

Harris almost smiled at that last comment. He was then waved off, exiting the room and running back into his office. Gallahan popped her head in moments later. "Sir, your wife's on line three. Says it 'urgent'." Harris smiled and picked up the phone. "Hey honey, hows it going? Sorry I had to leave so early. I would've said goodbye but I didn't wanna wake you up." The family man spent a decent amount of time apologizing to his wife and making small talk, until Gallahan popped head back in. "Sir. It's been 40 minutes. We're all heading out to the jet, and unless you wanna drive you better hurry the hell up." Harris followed her out the door to see a new face walking in. Damn. "Oh! Gallahan, would you mind debriefing SSA Roman on the flight? I completely forgot he was arriving for this case."

Vala awoke to the ring of her cellphone. She woke herself up properly and grabbed her black and blue cellphone She picked it up to see a text from Agent Harris to meet at the Behavioral Analysis Unit Headquarters. She got up and quickly changed into a pair of black leather pants. And her black tank top and placed a leather jacket over her that. She wanted to do something with her hair so she quickly grabbed a few elastic pony bands and walked to bathroom. She did her hair in a pretty up-do-messy-bun sort of thing.

She walked quickly downstairs and went to the kitchen grabbing herself some food to eat on the car ride to the office. She grabbed a bag of trail mix and stuffed it into her leather sling bag. She walked quickly out to her car driving a tad faster then the speed limit and ended up at the BAU Headquarters just in time before the meeting started. She sat down to see that mostly the whole team was sitting there and that she was hopefully not to late to make them upset. "Sorry I am late guys. Let's start." She said clapping her hands together in excitement.

Once the meeting was over she was a tad happy that there was somewhere something that needed to be done by us. She had paid attention quite well enough to know there was three victims with the same exact wounds. She knew they had to go home and pack for the trip to California. Luckily she.... wasn't prepared. Why hadn't she thought about needing to pack properly. She quickly left and drove home fastly.

Vala walked to her closet and grabbed her suit case of the top of the cupboard and opened it and placed it on the bed. She walked to the dresser and opened the top drawer. She grabbed out a pile of folded t-shirts. And then she walked to the dresser opened the bottom drawer taking out a pile of jeans. She placed that in her suitcase too. She grabbed her passport out of her top drawer and put that into her sling bag. She was quite happy it only took her 30 minutes to completely fill her suitcase.

She ran out to the car and drove to the office waiting with the rest of the team to go to California.

Ruth awoke in the middle of the night again. The nightmares had been intensifying for her and she wondered if it was because of her job or something else. She had decided not to go back to sleep after the children got murdered in this dream too. "Why are they so intense Ruth?" She said talking to herself. She walked to the bathroom and took a long bath since it was early in the morning and no one was awake at this hour. Ever. She was living all alone anyway so it didn't care at all really what she did. She got out of the bath quickly and got dressed. She put on a black blouse and a pair of jeans. "Stupid cell phone." It had rang that someone texted her instead she clicked the number from some ex boyfriend. She quickly pushed hang up and was quite glad that nightmare was over.

She read the text over to see that she was needed. "Finally." She sat down beside her bed, kneeled, said a prayer for the people who had passed away most likely in today's case and prayed she would have the strength to continue through the day. "Amen." She got up and walked down the stairs to the kitchen and opened the container sitting on the counter. It was full of freshly baked chocolate chip muffins. She took one out and took a bite out of the muffin.

She hopped into her car driving to the office smiling at everyone in the office including the secretary. "Good Morning." She sat down beside a person in the group and smiled. She listened as the Agent in charge spoke about the case. It was difficult for Ruth to always here the stories of people who were dead. She looked at everyone around her none of them seemed to show any signs of their feelings but maybe they hid them well.

She awaited instructions but usually she stayed in the office and waited for a webcam message or stuff that she would be needed for she sat at the desk thinking about how she forgot to write down her list of goals. She smiled and watched as everyone walked out of there or talked with someone she listened a bit but mainly sat there looking the case over with the papers that were laying on the table.

Alice was up at the crack of dawn, sitting peacefully in her soft Egyptian Cotton sheets with her eyes scanning the pages of her book. As of late, she had become engrossed in a young adult boo series, 'Artemis Fowl', mainly for the brilliance of the main character. Ah yes, Alice admired the intelligence and creativity of this young boys mind, a mind to get out of many of situations without the physical attributes most think they need to succeed. A true inspiration for this generation of children, who believe that strength is in need to be great in the world they know, and the only measure of intelligence being how good they look in a selfie. No wonder most of the murders nowadays are young people. The author of this book had obviously done countless research on the matter of which this book focuses on.

As the sun rose higher, Alice was forced to set down her book, at one of the most exciting parts as fate would often have it. But alas, if she wanted to keep her job she had to show up at work on time.

The cold winter air stung her eyes walking though, windy as the day was. She folded her arms tightly around her White trench coat. To keep her mind from the dreaded cold that was a demon on her pale face, from her pocket she retrieved her trusted cigarettes, along with a lighter without whom she wouldn't be able to play a light on the Tabaco stick.

The faint warmth of the flame was comforting. A breath of air, turned into a cloud of vapor due to her body temperature combined with the cold air lite up the flaming end, sending a puff of smoke mixing with the cloud that had erupted from her lungs seconds before.

The BAU security guard gave her a small nod as she entered. As usual, she was not first, and as usual she was not last. Never did she overachieve to get to the meeting first, and never had she wanted to be fashionably late by appearing last. Some were already there, waiting patiently.

The meet went on as usual, revealing she murders and gruesome picture of the victims body. This is why know one with a weak stomach should be in this business. Alice chuckled at her own comment.

They announced the journey to California, and gave them 40 minutes to prepare. Alice had a bag ready for situations like this, so she liked to think she was prepared. The jet awaited for the team. Luckily she had a book in her bag to read on the plane, though it wasn't the one she would have liked to finish, it was something to do to occupy her mind. Alice always came prepared. Along with the book she also had a journal to write in. Anything that came to her mind, really, she'd enjoy to jot down just for a reference to the future. A hobby, you could say.

And that is how she kept occupied now. While waiting for the others, she untucked the pencil she kept tucked in her deep pocket, and pressed in onto the paper with force, dark lines skidding down, creating letters, creating words, creating sentences.

One last puff of smoke she blew, before setting the cigarette down into a nearby ashtray, crushing in into the ash with her manicured thumb.

Charlie's phone buzzed against the hardwood floor. Dawn had barely broken through the blinds and he could smell trouble in the air. With a groan, he opened an eye. The phone buzzed again, just out of reach. From the haze of a mild hangover and little sleep, he could make out the number blaring. It was ex #2. He could ignore her all he wanted but it wouldn't do any good. With a grunt, he reached over his bed and grabbed the phone. "What is it now, Misty?" he whispered.

"Why are you whispering? Do you have a girl there?" she snapped. Her voice was like a shrill bird, twittering in his ear. She wasn't wrong. He cast a glance over his shoulder to the blond hair cascading down a bare back. The woman moaned quietly but didn't rise.

"It's barely morning. Is it important?" he grumbled.

"I need you to take Charlie Junior this weekend,"

"Don't call him that," Charlie groaned. Misty believed the small dog would be good baby practice. Instead, it became a constant source of tension. He didn't have time for a tiny animal, let alone a family. He couldn't understand how anyone in his profession could do it. Although few did. Divorce was a common attribute of a Special Agent. Anyone with a healthy family life had to be practicing come kind of voodoo or terrible at their job. "Look, I'm not taking the dog. It's not a kid. We are not sharing custody of a tiny rat," Before she could reply, his phone buzzed with a text from work. Someone was looking out for him. "It's work, Misty. I'll text you later," he said before hanging up.

After throwing on a t-shirt and jeans, he politely nudged the woman awake. He wanted to say her name was Brittany but he was usually wrong. The night had been clouded over with booze and the roll of dice in his hands. It was hard to remember much beyond that. But he did remember the taste of her mouth. After shooing her off with a promise to call, he headed for the BAU Headquarters, keeping the chill at bay with a leather jacket.

Everyone was assembled and Charlie absorbed what he could behind dark sunglasses. The aspirin had done little against his hangover. After the rundown of the case and the 40 minute time line. He had a duffel bag in his trunk for such occasions. Although it mattered little whether it was a case or he just needed an escape. From early on, he always had an exit plan. He leaned back in his chair, rolling his head back. "Hurry back," he said the others less prepared than he. Charlie tilted his sunglasses long enough to give Agent Stewart a wink.

Charlie turned back to Agent Harris. "I call shotgun," he grinned.

Adrian was the latest to the meeting, as usual. Or, he would have been had the new guy not shown up even later. He still hadn't decided if his removal from the position as reliable late-person was a boost to his ego or a blow to it. Either way, he didn't have much time to dwell on it as the briefing began and Gallahan went through her daily slideshow of horrors. It was a sexual serial killer this time. Not that Adrian was surprised. In the two years he'd been on the team, those seemed to make up the overwhelming majority of their cases.

He examined the victims as Jaymie flipped through the pictures, focusing first on their faces then on the rest of them. The nakedness and eye thing were strange, sure, but they also provided a valuable clue. Leaning onto the table, he voiced his thoughts aloud.

"So the eyes and the nakedness. That's clearly a signature,"he gestured to the board with a finger. "But check out the rapid escalation. He goes from a prostitute to abducting not one, but two teenage girls and then leaving them in front of their school? I mean, that's risky, man. He's evolving, and quickly."

He tended to interject in the meetings a lot. Not many of the others did, probably something to do with the fact that they were up at an unholy hour looking at brutal crime scene photos. But for him, commenting helped him focus, to process the information better. He didn't normally expect a response. Most of their discussion of the unsub occurred on the jet, but it never hurt to make the quick observation. They were all dismissed shortly after and given forty minutes to get their things together and move out. It was sort of a ritual now. "Wheels up in forty." Always forty.

He lingered a little longer than the others, gathering his coffee and bag, chiming in when he heard the new guy speak up. "Can't call shotgun on a jet, moron," he piped up with a playful grin in the man's direction. Could it be the way to get off on the wrong foot? Maybe. But he hoped the guy could at least tell he was joking. He turned to Mark, hooking his thumb over his shoulder to point at Roman. "Hey, Boss Man, you sure this guy was cleared for the team?" he joked.

He didn't give any time for much of a response. After he finished speaking, he was right out the door. Luckily, he had pre-planned and had enough clothes for a weeks stay in a small backpack in his backseat. He went back to his car, shot a quick voicemail to his girlfriend, and settled on a catnap as a way to pass the forty minutes he had. And when the alarm on his phone sounded, he was out of the car and making his way to the jet feeling only slightly more refreshed than before.

Gallahan turned to the tall man standing there and smirked. "He's right. Can't call shotgun on a jet." The redheaded woman slipped back into her office and sorted through the files piling on her desk, flipping out her phone in the process to call up the Sacramento Police Department. "Oh really? So we were invited in? Looks like I was right so you better be ready for us! We'll be there in about an hour." A loud snap filled the quiet room as her phone was clapped shut and stuffed back in her pocket. I'm always right. Gallahan slid the files into her messenger bag and rushed out of her office, locking the door behind her, and with the yell of someone from the cubicles below she popped her head into the room next door.

"Sir, your wife's on line three. Says it's 'urgent.'" Gallahan made sure to put emphasis on the urgent part and even did the finger quotation marks before turning to lean on the platform railing. She listened silently to the conversation her boss was having with the beautiful woman he called his wife. It was more like they were best friends, with the way they played around and argued. How was the guy even able to hold a relationship with this damn job?! Forty minutes had passed quite quickly and with a glance to the clock she stuck her head back in Harris' office. "Sir. It's been 40 minutes. We're all heading out to the jet, and unless you wanna drive you better hurry the hell up." Gallahan turned to start walking and stopped in her tracks when she heard the bit about instructing Roman. Dammit...

The jet was decently sized, with neat seats and tables and a small area for the ever-so-needed coffee machines. Gallahan dropped her stuff in the seat closest to the coffee and the windows and pulled out her files, scattering them on the table before her.
Image
Image
Harris took a seat across from Gallahan on the plane, pulling out his laptop for Hannigan to get her way into the group from where her office was. It was really more of a cave than an office. "Okay, so we have three victims with their eyes gouged out, a sexual component, naked bodies and rapid escalation. If this unsub is evolving as fast as it looks like he is then we're gonna have to work fast to make sure there aren't more victims." Hannigan's face popped up on the screen, and the team listened as she went over the background information on the three victims. The woman had done the usual tripe crosscheck but still couldn't find a place where the victims might have overlapped. "Keep looking Hannigan, I'll have Gallahan send you the victims' cell phones when we land, maybe you'll be able to find something in those."

Hannigan logged off and Harris turned to the rest of the team, which was crowding around the small table like a group of kindergarteners at storytime. "Here's the current plan. Stewart and I will head to the Police Station and get everything set up, maybe talk to the officers who were on scene. Gallahan, you and Roman will head down to the morgue, find out the Cause of Death and look over the victims' possessions. Apparently they had been dropped near the bodies. Also, make sure you get the cell phone access to Hannigan." Gallahan nodded reluctantly. "Baines and Beaulieu, you two go talk to the families and see if you can find anything from them. Clear?" Everyone nodded and went back to their seats.

The plane ride was rather boring, as most were after the initial briefing was over, and Harris struggled to pass the time playing solitaire. The thing that made him struggle was the fact that Gallahan kept messing up his cards with her files, whether intentionally or not Harris didn't know.

Agent Vala Stewart

When she got to the BAU Headquarters she had a minute to sit while she waited for the rest of the team. She thought back to when she was leaving earlier that some agent gave her a wink. If she remembered correctly his name was Agent Roman. She was new to the team and still somehow she remembered names correctly it was quite odd to her. She watched as he was still sitting there with another agent whom she believes his name is Agent Baines. She listened to everything around her. Ruth Hannigan the Technical Analyst was meant to wait here and review things from here which she thought a little unfair but then again it was easier for her because everything was here and she didn't need to bring it all with her.

She glanced as everyone filed in and then began to make their way to the jet which they would be taking to California. She didn't mind airplanes one bit. She just never had the time to use them a lot. She most likely only traveled so many hours really which was one maybe two trips. It was still when she was involved in the black marketing which was already almost eight years ago which felt like forever to Vala.

She got onto the plane and saw that everyone gathered around the coffee when she realized she didn't need any right now so she took a spot beside Agent Roman. She waited and listened as Agent Hannigan went over the background information. She then listened as Agent Harris spoke about their assignments. "Great can't wait to be working with you sir."

She had decided to pull out her book and read even though she wanted to knit she didn't really like to many people knowing she knitted. She had grabbed out her trail mix from her leather sling bag. She ate a few bites and looked over at Agent Roman. "Vala, Charlie right?" She smiled at him and then looked down and then back towards him. "Would you like some? Its just chocolate, peanuts, almonds, pretzels and cheerios." She asked with a smile, setting her book over her lap and the trail mix on top of that.

Ruth watched as everyone left to get their stuff and some stuck around bickering about not being able to call shotgun or something like that. She wasn't really paying attention to what they were saying because she really didn't care. She was still worrying about how she was going to help solve this case. She decided she might as well go into her office and wait there until she needed to contact them on the plane.

She got up and walked out of the meeting room and walked down the hallway down a bunch of stairs to a rectangle office. She sat down at her desk which was neatly organized. Her office was neatly organized because she likes things clean. She heard them leaving and she knew she might as well prepare. She sat down on her desk and looked over the files on the people that were killed and how they could be connected. There was no record of them knowing each other. But the background information on them was interesting and she felt bad for them.

She turned on her computer and turned on the way to chat to them through some face sort of thing. To be completely honest she knew how to work a computer but to understand was another word. She sat and looked at Agent Harris and smiled. "To be honest this case and these people it is quite sad. I will start with Alice James. Alice's parents died when she was young and then she moved in with her Aunt Lucy. She has been raising Alice until she was 18. They still get together every Sunday evening. Alice has no other family besides her Aunt Lucy and her cousin Stephanie who is 6. Alice has not many friends except a few prostitutes she knows."

She looked down at the other files and notes she had come up with. "Mariah and Mary Jane Foster, man their story I feel bad for the parents. Mariah and Mary-Jane is quite a long story. They moved around a lot because her father was a world photography for National Geographic and retired two years ago they have a three identical triplet brothers Ashton, Alfie, Aaron, that are the age of 3. Her mother and father raised them good. They don't have a lot of friends again because of the moving around a lot."

She looked at Agent Harris. "I will continue to look and find something a connection of some sort how they are connected. Talk soon. Good Luck guys."

Charlie boarded the plane in a blur of activity. He shuffled in with everyone else and found a seat. Headache subsiding, he sat close to the window, keeping an eye on the ground while he listened to Hannigan's breakdown. The escalation, the sexual nature of the crime, the removal of the eyes, was nearly common place with a serial killer. He had the background on the case and he was itching to get on the ground and do something about it. It was the waiting that was most difficult. Quietly he listed what he could remember from the pictures of the bodies and the faces of the girls. He didn't bother with their names. Charlie had a thing about names. "Don't give it a name, you get attached," was what his father told him as a boy, eating a hot dog as he looked at the little piglets.

"Twins and triplets? That's a little weird. Be interesting to know if the first victim had a double too," he said to himself.

Vala sat near him and Charlie pulled himself out of his thoughts long enough to hear her offer. He quickly appraised her, tilting his head to the side. The side of his mouth threatened a grin as he said, "I didn't get shotgun but it looks like I got the best seat in the house," He popped a peanut into his mouth and chewed thoughtfully. "So, brown eyes, you've been on a case like this before?"

On the jet, Adrian processed the information Hannigan gave them as thoroughly as possible. No overlap... That was strange. He listened as Hannigan continued to report the little findings she had discovered so far, already formulating theories in his head. When she cut out, he wasted no time in asking what he thought was the elephant in the room question. "So we have no way of telling if this guy's organized or disorganized until we can see the actual crime scenes. And since the bodies were moved... We don't happen to have a plan to find these locations do we?"

Waiting for his official assignment to leave, Harris' mouth, he scanned the files in front of him once more. The whole thing was just perplexing. The escalation, the victimology, the sexual eye gouging... The files were so engrossing he nearly missed his assignment. He nearly groaned out loud when he heard it though. Family duty. It was always the worst. Having to see the loved ones of people who died in horrible ways only to dredge up painful memories of people that they'd just like to lay to rest. And then there were the tears. God, the tears. It never failed, there was always some kind of crying involved in family questionings. Suppressing a sigh of dissatisfaction, he retreated towards the back of the jet to his own little corner. Nodding at Beaulieu on his way, he said in a somber tone, as if he were doing her a great favor, "You can take the lead on this one." He muttered as he moved past her, "I'm too tired to be sensitive today."

Adrian often preferred to sleep on flights, as they were often woken up in the middle of the night to be hauled off to an assignment, but something was preventing him from keeping his eyes shut and drifting off. After a frustrating twenty minutes of trying and failing to get some rest, he finally dug into his bag and pulled out a novel. It was a new historical fiction by one of his favorite authors, taking place in mid-revolutionary France. With a decisive sigh, he pulled out the bookmark from the pages and began reading, hoping he could get at least three chapters through before they landed.

As the team began their trek to the plane, Alice took this as her cue to retreat as well. The others had been prancing around, chatting with one another. Alice didn't particularly enjoy talking with people early in the morning. It wasn't that she was tired, or didn't have the mental awareness at such an early hour, no. It were the people around her, who's mind was still fogged with sleepiness, and would probably say the silliest things in a fit of mind block. Once everyone had found a chance to rewake their mind, a conversation she'd be seeking.

She took a seat near the middle, her eyes had never been taken off her notebook during her walk from headquarters. She had already written half the half the page with notes. Ah, writing, if Alice hadn't had a passion for investigation, she might have has a carrier in the field of literature. Though she was an observant person. The age sitting in front of her now, with many of sentences based upon the look of the jet, when they first boarded, and the temperature of the winter day, the personalities of her teammates and their physical descriptions and reactions to the mission. She also wrote the descriptions of the bodies which they had been shown. Quite gruesomely, though if no one wanted to be blunt about it then they wouldn't have boarded the plane.

She heard Agent Baines walk up beside her, pointing at her a nod, which she returned soberly. "You can take the lead on this one, I'm too tired to be sensitive today"

Alice didn't respond, but bit smiled slightly at his comment. He was correct, teenage girls would likely have families, and they'd be dealing with tears today. Alice always did her best to comfort the victims family, as when they're blubbering like babies it was harder to gain any information. She tried not to get to annoyed though. These people had just lost their child. If you wanted her to be honest, Alice would be crying too.

She did like the idea of taking the lead.

Across from her, Agent Stewart and the newbie, Agent Roman were having a conversation.

"I didn't get shotgun but it looks like I got the best seat in the house," he said to her, and asked her if she had ever been on a mission before.

Alice chuckled slightly. Even the BAU has its fair share of drama among the teammates. "Hey, you two. No flirting until we reach a 5000 feet altitude." She joked to them, averting her eyes from her notebook and to the two sitting across the seat from her. She smiled, and set her journal down on her lap gently, suddenly becoming bored with it.

"Don't worry, I have enough to go around," he grinned wolfishly at Agent Beaulieu. He need to come up with a name for her. Perhaps Smoky... no too obvious. Blondie? No, he'd probably get Human Resources on his ass again. It would come to him. She'd be cataloged in his head and filed away somewhere. She was pretty. That was no question. But so were a lot of bodies stacked up in the morgue. So were Mariah and Mary Jane Foster and Alice James. He dug into his coat pocket and pulled out his lucky coin. It rolled in his fingertips, in a well worn pattern. It kept his fingers nimble.

He turned to Gallahan. "So kid, as the new guy, is there a secret to making this plane go faster?". Before he let her respond, he turned to Agent Baines with a grin and said, "Don't worry, tough guy, that was a joke,"

Gallahan easily ignored Roman's comment, sending a "WTF" look in Beaulieu's direction before turning back to her files. The plane landed in Sacramento about 40 minutes later. The team disembarked, everyone going off in their different directions. Gallahan was still unenthused about the idea of being stuck with Roman for an hour. He was an obvious womanizer. Not that any of the women on the team would actually take the guy up on it, Beaulieu was too smart and Hannigan far too awkward. Stewart, on the other hand...she might believe him. Gallahan got fed up with her thoughts and stopped in her tracks, turning to stare Roman straight in the eyes.

"Alright, here's the deal. You're new. You're inexperienced. I've been in the bureau for years. I'm experienced. I know what to do, you don't, so you follow my lead with no questions asked. Got it?" Gallahan didn't wait for his answer and kept walking, hopping into one of the signature black SUVs that had been waiting in the parking lot. She honestly couldn't care whether she was being harsh or not, though she definitely would've been less angsty if he'd been a woman, but he would learn. Eventually. She drove off as soon as the doors were closed, arriving at the morgue minutes later.

Walking in, Gallahan was directed to the room with all three bodies, the nurse on duty obviously waiting for them to arrive. "I'm Agent Gallahan, this is SSA Roman. Has the Cause of Death been determined?" The nurse nodded and turned to her equipment. "Yes. The tests we did on the skin confirmed that all three females were killed by electrocution. At first we thought it may have been blood loss that caused their deaths, but upon further inspection we noticed that all the arteries had been cauterized shortly after the injuries had been inflicted."

"Children, no bickering on the jet." Harris joked, smiling humorously as he concentrated on his card game.He could feel Gallahan's glare on his head from across the table. When the plane landed, he lead the way off the jet, making sure the rest of his team had left before heading off towards the station with Stewart. No one even paid them a sideways glance when the walked in, all the police in the room were very obviously busy. A man wearing a badge walked over and extended his hand. "Hello, my name is Detective Ross. You two must be the FBI...didn't you say you had more people?" The man raised an eyebrow. "The rest of our team is investigating other places. My name is Agent Harris, this is SSA Stewart. Do you have a place for us to set up?"

Detective Ross led the two over to a small area, decked out with large boards and a table stacked with case files and photos. "Coffee's over there, and although my officers may not like you, feel free to ask if you need anything. I'll be in my office." The Detective disappeared into his office. Harris walked over and took a seat at the table, grabbing a handful of the files and looking over them. "We'll should put all these photographs up on the board. Take some tape and let's get started!" Harris stood and grabbed the tape dispenser, starting to put up a handful of photographs, ignoring the stares the two agents were getting from behind.

"You're still somewhat new here, so I'll let you in on a secret." Harris turned to smile at Stewart. "Looking at all these photos never gets any easier."

Agent Stewart

Vala was sitting beside Agent Roman and he was quite different. He was talking about having the 'best seat in the house' he was most definitely flirting but she wasn't going to stop him. She never had that before and she was enjoying it honestly. She listened as he spoke about the case. "Nope it's my first case. I am new to the life of an FBI Agent." She smiled and listened as some other female agent spoke about the flirting. She wasn't going to say anything unlike Agent Roman. She told herself she wasn't going to cause trouble with the other agents. Glancing towards Agent Roman this was going to be harmless fun that's all.

She enjoyed the plane ride oddly. She thought back to the family of five with the two girls dead. She felt bad for them and well no matter how sad this was she thought that she was lucky that she didn't have to be in Agent's Baines and Beaulieu that had to speak to the families. She wouldn't like to do the job but she still had the heart for that part. She kept that deep feeling of not getting emotional about those sort of things. As she sees it people die its life.

Once the plane ride was done she went with Agent Harris to the police station. She followed and stayed quite silent until she was spoken too. The detective in charge led them to a room and she waited further instructions from Agent Harris and listened quietly till he did. "We'll should put all these photographs up on the board. Take some tape and let's get started!" She grabbed the tape and began to tape photos onto the board. He spoke about a secret and she smiled. "Tips would be appreciated sir." She listened as he spoke and he knew she was right.

Quantico, Virginia || Behavioral Analysis Unit || 5:47 AM
Gallahan ignored Roman's comment and continued, scanning over the bodies with a trained eye. Some agents thought it was a bit disturbing how unaffected she was by all the blood and gore she saw every day. "The first incision was made here, on her chest. The rest were done very quickly after one another so I'm guessing the person was angry. We believe the weapon may have been a large hunting knife. And we have also determined that the eyes were removed in a way similar to how a surgeon would, so this person obviously has extensive medical knowledge." The woman went over the other minor injuries, stomach contents, etc. "Thank you, we'll be going."

As the two got into the SUV, Gallahan dialed Harris' number and put the phone on speaker, dropping it into the cupholder as she started driving back to the station. "What have you got?" Harris asked. "Well, the bodies are pretty beaten up, which signifies a lot of rage. The cuts were also deep and made withing seconds of each other so I'm guessing the unsub's a male. What strikes me as odd is that the eyes were removed surgically, which a completely different MO. We might be looking at a team here."

Gallahan kept driving, deciding to let Roman do some of the talking. The guy was new so it'd be a decent idea to let him do his own thing for a while. When they pulled into the station lot, Harris hung up and the two agents went inside to meet the other two. They were already putting up the pictures. "Looks like the Family Duty Squad hasn't come back yet. Must be harsh, having to console parents about their dead child." One could swear there was sarcasm in her voice...

Harris was hardly listening to Roman's explanation of the bodies, he let Stewart do that. He honestly didn't think very highly of the womanizing new guy, even if he had a sense of humor, so he simply continued looking over the case files. They already had three bodies and he wanted to find this son of a bitch before he killed anyone else. Harris hung up after a long chat, Gallahan and Roman walking in seconds later. "So, if we're looking for a team, then we're gonna have to look at this from a different point of view."

"We're going to have to profile both the surgeon and the killer, considering the eyes were removed post-death I'm guessing the other unsub is the killer. We should also consider a single unsub with Split Personality Disorder as well, just in case." Harris hardly looked up from the files while he talked. Multitasking was one of the most needed skills with this job. Even still, half the bureau couldn't, and almost all of it couldn't handle the things the team stared at 24/7.

Gallahan sunk herself into the chair next to Harris. He could tell she wasn't excited about having to train SSA Roman, but he figured the taskw as good for her. Gave her a chance to give a good impression for once. Although Harris was seeing the signs, and it was almost certain that she'd already steered the kid away.

Agent Stewart

Vala was working with Agent Harris the boss on the profiling. She believed, she kind of missed him and what he called it. She felt bad for the family it was odd to be working with someone. She used to being alone even when she worked on the black market she always worked alone and made deals with people and usually never kept them. But that was the past and no one knew about that and they never would according to her.

Her lose strands of hair shaped her face well and she thought it made her look good. She wasn't a vain person and talked about her looks or anything she just thought this hair-do was easy and looked good. She looked at Agent Harris who was working really hard too. She watched him work hard. Suddenly Agent Gallahan sat down beside Agent Harris.

That meant Agent Roman was coming right behind them. She thought he was good looking for someone who was doing this. It seemed odd someone so good looking worked in this business. She watched as Agent Roman walked in now. She continued to hang the pictures up on the board and looked at each one carefully to see if their were any details other people missed that she might spot.

She smiled at Agent Roman and continued to work while focusing at the same time.

Finally, a friendly face, he thought as he saw Agent Stewart. It was clear he hadn't made a good impression. He didn't need praise but he wanted recognition. But he had to admit, he was more of the muscle. He worked on instinct and acted strategically but he was still new. He just had to stick with it.

He wandered over to Vala, eyeing the pictures. "Agent Gallahan thinks it was a team. Hunting knife, lots of rage versus someone with extensive medical knowledge and precision," he said matter-of-factly. He had been going over the details in his mind. He had theories but it theories didn't make a case. He needed someone to bounce his ideas off of but found closed doors His eyes wandered from the pictures to Vala's hair, falling in her face. He couldn't put his finger on it but there was something unpredictable about her. She was quiet but had the constant appearance of being ready. He leaned closer than he needed to and said, "Did you learn anything new?" With a half-smile, he invited trouble and he was only partly remorseful.

Vala was trying to pay attention but it seemed like she was going to have a hard time with that today. She was new and didn't know what to do just follow instructions. It was the best move for her to do. She listened as Agent Roman began to speak. She listened carefully to him as he spoke. She looked at him for a quick second and smiled again. She always tried to stay in a positive mood even though it was difficult since their job litterly dealt with death. She went back to work and could feel him close to her. She decided to say something since he was quiet now.

"Have you contacted Agent Hannigan with your ideas. It might be useful to her!" She turned to him and smiled big and finished hanging up the rest of the pictures. She had looked at them all closely but she couldn't find something that could connect the two victims to the third. She looked to Agent Harris and smiled again. "What's next?" She asked.

Ge asked her if she learned anything new. He said it with a very good looking half smile and she knew that this would be trouble but hey her middle name could be that. She leaned in close so Agent Harris wouldn't hear. "Maybe we did I wasn't paying to close attention as bad as it sounds."

"I don't seem to be making an impression on anyone here," he said with a wolfish smile, "But I might just do that," Charlie took his eyes away from her for a moment, glancing back at the board. It was an itch he couldn't scratch. Electrocution, ritual removal of the eyes, the work of someone who was methodical, maybe obsessive. Then sloppy stab wounds and aggressive sexual abuse... It was like witnessing Jekyl and Hyde.

When he heard she hadn't paid attention, he looked at her with concern. "Something about the case bother you?" he asked. It was rare to meet an Agent that wasn't mostly numb to violence. They were usually weeded out long before they got here. He wondered what it would be like to feel anything. But sometimes it was like he was watching a re-run. The names and faces were all the same characters. It just left him feeling tired at the end of the day.
