One of the women appeared frightened by Erick. In fact, she was frightened so much that she jumped when her cell phone rang. He smiled to ease the tension his appearance usually seemed to bring. Erick was surprised to see the man approach him in a hostile manner. Surprised, but interested. The man seemed to be implying that Erick was out of place. If only he knew that Erick was right where he belonged.

"Well, gee you don't have to worry about me," he said, smiling warmly. "You're right, though. I'm not a local. I just wander around looking for additions to a collection I have going. I made enough money to retire a long time ago, you see. I was walking by and this little beauty through the window caught my eye. This little necklace here looks just like what I've been looking for." Eric dangled the necklace in front of his gaze. Soon, he wouldn't have to deal with his affliction any more. All the wasted time and pointless damage would be over. It would be interesting to meet the others, though. He was sure there were things they could learn from each other. "Oh, but I'm getting ahead of myself. Name's Erick," he said while extending a hand.

"Your name will be dead if I see you causing trouble, Erick." Matthew shook his hand firmly, tightening it, before releasing forcefully. He could tell he was lying, and thought he was an idiot for him not thinking that he wasn't. Matthew knew he was here for more than a scrawny charm necklace.

OOC: Guyys! I leave for what? Three weeks and everyone's either at their throats or freaking out. Tehe ^-^ Sorry to have left so suddenly... I had some things to deal with. Those things are gone now so I will be writing up a post as we speak.

Luna sensed his presence once more before she smelled him and way before he entered the room shop once more, startling the other young woman in front of her. Luna bristled a little, feeling suddenly protective of the smaller woman, though she was short herself. Maybe it was because of the same white hair they had and her being shorter; she could almost pretend she was a younger sister.
She shook and head and turned to glance at Matthew, but was suddenly startled by his confident, and almost cocky expression, as he sauntered over to the two women.
What was that all about?
"Good evening, ladies." He grinned mischievously, and continued to speak. Looking towards Anna and the book she held against her chest protectively.
"That's a nice book you have there, love. Quite interesting, don't you think Luna?" Matthew looked at Luna, a flashy charming smile. She lifted her chin suddenly, not liking this new cocky self she hadn't seen when he'd came to her shop earlier. Then he'd been kind and almost shy. Now his chest was jutted out like he was some cock of the walk. She was about to growl at him when she suddenly saw his eyes flash red and the growl died in her throat. She blinked to keep her own eyes from flashing a responding electric blue, but it happened anyways and she quickly turned her head away (she wasn't sure yet if she wanted him to know she too was a werewolf). It then made sense. He had to of changed when he left her shop earlier, why, she had no idea, but it would explain his sudden cockiness... that or he was an asshole.
She looked back towards him and studied him until she sighed heavily. He didn't look like he was usually an asshole, and he had seemed sincere earlier when he'd helped her with the latter and had made small talk.

He then turned to Anna. "Why.. hello there. What's your name?" He seemed different right now and she wasn't liking it. She hoped it would fade as the essence of the change faded too. She knows all too well the sense of power she feels after a change and the sudden urge to feel seductive and sexy to anyone she came near afterwards. She shivered and clutched the thin cord around her throat that held the pink quarts she'd slipped on earlier to help with confidence. She then pulled it off, and while Anna was focused, and completely blubbering in shyness (was that a word) to Matthew, she dropped the pink quarts in one of the smaller pockets of her coat. She had done it was swiftly that it looked to anyone who had noticed, that she'd just brushed the girls jacket familiarly.
She prayed to the moon the girl would find confidence and then turned to the sudden sound of another person entering the store (boy was it busy today).
She looked over to see her small kitten grumpily jump down from the counter, no longer liking all the new faces in the room, and then padded to the back hallway that led up to the stairs leading to her small apartment loft above.
Traitor. Luna thought with a small smile.
She then turned to look back towards the man and her smile fell a little.
Something was off about this man and it wasn't just the creepy black coat and the weird scruffiness he seemed to look.
She was startled out of her thoughts when Matthew suddenly swaggered over to the new stranger and she could almost fill the testosterone filling the room.
Oh boy...
She tried to not listen to them, but occasionally she caught a word here and there.
Matthew was definitely sounding protective... almost protective of territory. She felt uneasy then and was glad to find Anna talking to her once more.
The girl wanted to buy the charm and the book and Luna made her way behind the small little counter holding and old looking cash register left behind from the old antique shop. It was cute...
She then began dumping her contents- of the quart-less pocket from her jackert - out onto the counter and Luna smiled a little to herself. This girl was a mess... but a cute mess.
She then turned a bright shade of pink and picked up a stack of french currency.
She began to quickly tell me she would come back later, and Luna held up her hand and smiled warmly at the girl, despite the tenseness going on near the charm necklaces.
"Just take me out for coffee tomorrow morning and it's free." she said and pushed the book and charm necklace back towards the girl.

Anna smiled thankfully and nodded. "Of course, t-thank you!" She felt glad that the kind shopkeeper hadn't gotten upset at her. "I-I can give you my phone number, and w-we can go to my father's restaurant!" Anna didn't realize she was blushing into she touched her cheek and felt it's warmth, making her blush even more. "Well, I-I should go...I'll see you t-tomorrow then!" She waved and slowly made her way past the two males, ignoring the queasy feeling in her stomach, and started off home. But then she realized that she couldn't tell where she was now that the road was dark. She would've gone back to ask for help if she'd known the shopkeeper better, but she didn't want to bother her. So instead she wandered off down the street, alone and scared beyond belief.

Eventually, after agreeing for coffee and grabbing her things, Anna left. Luna watched her till she was lost from her view. Now Luna was alone with the testosterone males and she sighed heavily. It was getting late and she didn't want a fight or anything so she forced a smile and came over to the two.
"Um... Sorry to interrupt, but it's closing time... so." she said and nodded her head towards the door. All she wanted right now was to cuddle up on her couch upstairs with her kitty and watch a movie and drink hot cocoa. Not try to beak up a fight between to grown men.

Erick continued smiling and simply tilted his head at the young man's attempted intimidation. He had no intention of fighting this boy but there was no doubt in his mind that he could take out anyone in the room.

"Well if you're trying to say I seem more interested in this little necklace than one would think, maybe it's because I saw it in action," he said, hoping that the boy would understand what he was getting at. He nodded a goodbye and turned to the store owner as she told them that it was closing time. "Yes, I just wanted to make a purchase first." Eric extended the necklace out to the woman. The necklace alone would have made the trip worth it. He could put this whole ordeal behind him and pretend that his life was completely normal. Something about these people interested him, though. Why weren't they all wearing a necklace all the time? Did they not care about the chance of becoming a savage slaughter-machine against their own will? Although it was possible that he could have been wrong about them. Then again, the store seemed too perfect for the owner to not have at least some sort of-. Erick caught himself drifting off in thought and resumed a watchful gaze as he waited for the woman to ring him up.

Matthew almost growled at the man, his eyes threatening to turn that bright red death glow. He yanked off the necklace, and set it on the counter. "See? Why would I need the damn thing? You obviously know what you came here for, so why don't I give it to you?" You could see his hair thicken, and his muscles grow but he caught a glimpse of Luna, and stopped. He didn't want her to know, though she probably already knew. He growled low, and went outside the door where you heard a loud howl to the moon, and he was gone, no where to be seen

The two grumbled a little back and forth some more but eventually the older man turned to look at her and held up... yet another silver bullet charm necklace. She touched the silver moon pendant around her neck and winced. This man wasn't all he seemed, and she also knew that he knew exactly what the silver bullet represented.
She took it from his hands and noted the abnormal warmth of his hands when their fingers met. She pulled her hand away quickly and studied his eyes.
Yet another werewolf?
She but her lip nervously. Was this man a townie or did he just move here? It he wasn't new she didn't know how she felt about the number of werewolves she'd already met. What if this whole town was full of it? Part of her warmed at the thought of more people like her, but another part clenched in fear.
She turned away from him and began to punch in the little keys on the old cash register. It binged like a bell and she took his money from his hand and slipped it in with the few dollars and change she had. She'd later have to make up for the items she'd just given away... it was ok though. She didn't mind giving her first costumer a gif-
Her thoughts were cut off when suddenly Matthew grew angry and slipped off his charm necklace and set it on the counter.
"See? Why would I need the damn thing? You obviously know what you came here for, so why don't I give it to you?" he growled to the older man and began to almost grow in size very slightly.
She winced, suddenly hurt he'd just thrown away the gift so suddenly, and took the small silver item in her hand.
Matthew looked towards her and eventually his anger seemed to subside... or at least hide itself from being so physically shown.
He growled once more and then turned on his heal before exiting the warm shop into the cold night.
Why was he still so out of control? His anger from the change should have already subsided, but here he was, almost radiating heat.
She didn't really know him but she understood he would have to get himself under control... if not...
She shivered then at the thought. She didn't want to think about what happened when a werewolf couldn't control their Power side.
She heard a howl in the distance and her eyes grew dark.
She didn't want to leave her cozy shop tonight... but it looked like she would have to. Once this older man left she would have to lock up and go find Matthew.
She wouldn't let his anger cause harm to anyone. She also had a strong urge in her stomach to help him.
She slipped the silver bullet in her jeans pocket and then brushed her blonde hair from her face with a determined huff.
She turned her eyes back to the older man and raised her chin slightly.
"Thank you for visiting my store. I hope your charm gives you what you're seeking." she spoke and her eyes stared the man down.
Unlike what Matthew thought, she didn't think this man was here to cause trouble... but something deep and dark in the pit of her stomach told her there was something else to the man. And it wasn't just his creepy appearance.
Eventually the man, after seeming frustrated but put together after Matthew's whole show, left with his item in tow. It wasn't till the door closed completely that she began rummaging through her jars of herbs quickly.
She found what all she was looking for and quickly stuffed it into a small leather pouch she kept tied to her belt. She then found a few stones and slipped those too into the bag before hiding it under her long sweater.
"Meo-uf" she heard the grumpy meow behind her and turned to face her feline familiar.
"I'll be back Maya. Watch the shop for me, and don't pester Zuro." she said nodding towards the glass cage that held her tarantula.
She quickly blew out the candles and slipped back on her coat and gloves. She almost reached for the scarf to tie her hair back but thought better of it and left the shop. As she locked up quickly her hair blew around her in wild knots and her eyes began to glow their electric blue again, enhancing her night seeing.
She pulled her collar up higher against the cold and took off into the shadows, following the sent of Matthew...
She also smelled another familiar smell and her eyes grew wide.
Anna
Wasn't she supposed to be home by now?
Her pace grew faster until eventually she was running.
She had to find either one of them before something bad happened.
Something in her stomach was telling her so.

Matthew felt alive as the cold, crisp, bone-chilling wind blew through every strand of his dark fur. The moon was out, and it was bright tonight, leaving an eerie Halloween glow upon everything. Matthew ran down the street and smelt Anna. He followed her scent curiously until he came upon the young shy girl, and the red eyes brightened in the night. He slowly walked up, his ears up in a happy way. "Hrmmm hrmm" he whimpered and sat, pretending his paw was injured, but it was as a thorn was encased in his padding, his paw now sore. He looked at the girl his tail wagging slowly, hoping she wouldn't think he would eat her. He's taken a liking to the girl but wouldn't have a romantic relationship with her, just a nice friendship. He laid on his stomach with his ears up, a few feet away, and whimpered.

Anna was lost. Lost in a new city, without a single friend, and without a way to contact her father now that her cell phone was dead. She'd already lost sight of the shop and couldn't go back for help. Surely her father would be worried. He always worried. Anna silently prayed that someone would help her. If she continued wandering around like this, she'd get more lost, and then have no chance of finding her house. So instead she sat down on a bench, looking out at the darkened town. She heard footsteps, and turned to see a rather large dog. A very large dog. A wolf.

The wolf walked up to her, whimpering the way a pet would, and held out it's paw. The paw seemed injured. "Did you hurt your paw?" Anna stood and walked over to the wolf, kneeling down in the snow, and carefully taking it's paw only to find that there wasn't any injury at all. She looked into the wolves eyes to find a startling shade of red. "...you're not hurt..." Any normal person would be in fear if such a big wolf came walking up to them, but for some reason Anna felt like she knew this wolf. Like they had met before...

Matthew licked her face cheerfully. "Roof!" He barked and seemed happy. His eyes were an brighter red, and he kept his ears up in a playful way. His tail wagged back and forth quickly, and he pawed at her chest.

Luna had been running for quite some time. The ground was slick with ice and she finally noticed snow was beginning to blanket the ground.
Snow so soon?
She shook her head at the thought. Of course. They were deep in the mountains. The weather here was bound to be different from where she used to live.
She pulled her coat around her body against the chill and squinted her eyes in the darkness, calling to her Power to give her site in the night.
Eventually the old power filled her and she could see more clearly.
She stopped suddenly seeing two figures in the shadow of the trees. They were in some kind of park outside of the town, but this park was overgrown with weeds and the trees looked old and thick.
One figure was small and had light blonde hair, and the other was a large animal crouched in front of her familiarly.
"Anna." she spoke softly, but she knew the wind would carry her voice to the two.
Matthew she thought his name, but didn't speak it allowed.
She brushed her wild hair from her face and slowly came to the two.
The wolf's eyes were no longer a deep glowing crimson as she'd imagined they'd be. They now only glowed softly and she felt relief.
You regained control...
She let out the worried breath she'd been holding and walked the rest of the way to the two.

Anna heard more footsteps and looked up to see the nice shopkeeper-Luna, she thought her name was-walk up to them. She seemed relieved. Anna was suddenly glad she'd stayed there, at least now she had someone she knew to show her the way. Possibly. She still didn't know if it would be too much to ask for directions. "I-I got lost..." She said quietly, petting the dog once more and standing upright. "I only moved here yesterday, and I can't see very well in the dark...so..." Anna didn't know what to say, and she was fairly certain her cheeks were flushed.

She wondered about her father. He would probably be very worried, if not already searching for her. She wondered about the creepy man from the shop, what if she had run into him instead of Luna, what would have happened? Anna didn't want to know. What she did want to know was how Luna had been able to find her. Footprints? No, the snow was already covering them up. It was too dark to see much of anything, even with the dark glow of the streetlamps, and she seriously doubted that the girl had followed her. So...how?

Matthew, still a wolf, sniffed Luna's leg, and was about to nudge her with his paw when suddenly, his claws popped out, and he stopped himself just an inch away from her. Why couldn't he- oh.. He was around, he could feel it in his fur, and his eyes grew an ever deeper shade of crimson, and he patted along the sidewalkj away from the girls.

Erick was amused at all of the drama around him. The boy's obvious transformation after saying that he didn't need the necklace was probably the most interesting. What was he trying to prove? The store owner's attempted stare-down had left him with the same smirk he had given to the boy. Maybe they chose the rough attitude to hide who they were, but what about the other woman? Where did she fit in with these people? Erick went over these things in his head as he struggled to keep up with the running store owner. For as much as she seemed to distrust him, she didn't think to watch for him following her. The woman stopped suddenly and Erick ducked behind a tree. He peeked his head out and saw a wolf and the other girl from the store. The wolf suddenly seemed to sense his presence. Erick ducked from tree to tree under the cover of night and snuck up behind the smaller of the two women. He knew it wasn't the nicest thing to do, but decided to speak suddenly and startlingly before she knew he was there.

"Is someone going to put a necklace on him before he kills someone, or am I going to have to call animal control?"

Erick crossed his arms and was prepared to reach into his coat for his pistol. Although he doubted that it would finish the job, it would probably give him enough time to act if the boy turned aggressive. He regretted not being prepared for fighting one of his own, but maybe it was for the best. He didn't want to kill the boy, but that might change if the cocky kid kept pushing him.

When Anna heard speech behind her, she was surprised enough that she let out a rather loud scream and jumped at least a foot in the air before running to hide near Luna. Her nervousness wasn't reduced when she saw it was the creepy man from the shop. His words confused her though. Necklace? Boy? Was he talking about Matthew? But he had left...weird. Maybe Luna knew what the man was talking about. Anna's suspicions were confirmed by the worried and shocked expression on the shopkeeper's face.

Anna then noticed that the dog was gone. She looked around for it, spotting a tail but watching sadly as it disappeared into an alley down the street. She liked the dog. She turned back to the matter at hand. She was feeling way too many emotions: confusion about the creepy man's words, embarrassment from screaming, worry about what her father would say when she finally made it home, and fear from the entire situation. But she also felt a strange sense of comfort from being near Luna. Was this normal?

What on Earth was going on?!

Luna gritted her teeth at the low voice behind her and Anna's sudden scream of fear. As Luna turned around, the shorter girl quickly ran to Luna's side, hiding slightly behind Luna's taller figure.
He was shrouded slightly in the darkness of the trees. The sun was gone, the moon was growing higher, and the night air was growing colder and colder by the second. Out of the corner she'd watched Matthew slip back into the darkness so now it was just the three, but she felt no fear. Instead she felt a protective fire building deep inside her. Her eyes flashed dangerously as she quickly to Anna's arm and reached into her satchel for the assortment of herbs and other trinkets she'd stuffed into her already randomly filled satchel.
Her fingers found the warm leather of the bound silver dagger and gripped it tightly, glad for the protective handle that shielded her from the dangerous charmed dagger. Where the bullet charms were made for protection and purification this dagger was made to harm and kill.
She didn't pull it out but the feel of it gave her strength and she spoke finally.
She didn't bother acknowledging his earlier statement and was glad that Anna seemed just confused and afraid. She knew there was no way Anna could have made the connection between the beautiful wolf and the man named Matthew from earlier, but that didn't mean she wasn't angered by this man bluntly stating Matthew's darkest secret. She also didn't know how he knew or what his intentions were.
What are you doing here? And why do you seem so interested in werewolfs?
She studied him once more, but as before she only sensed a deep lying darkness or secret. She couldn't tell if he too was a beast.
Luna spoke.
"Leave us. There is no need for you to frighten girls in the night." she spoke calmly, but there was power in her voice.

Matthew stayed hunched in the bushes as his wolf form, before fighting against himself, and walking down the street, changing and routinely walking back. He looked fine, and his eyes were slightly deeper in color. "Ladies! What are you doing out so late? " he then eyed him. "Ah, I see. A little action?" He chuckled, keeping his hands in his pocket. In his left hand he held the charm he'd ripped off before. "Say, let's get you two home. There are wolves out at night. " he hid his smile.

Anna was slightly confused as to why Matthew had suddenly shown up right after he'd run from the shop in a hurried fluster. She was also wondering why he didn't look like he was about to pounce on the freaky man, the way he had before. Maybe he didn't want to stir up trouble now that they were outside instead of in Luna's shop. Anna was so very confused, and scared as well. She was still the new girl in town. How had she managed to get caught up in the townspeople when it was still only her first day there? She didn't want to know. Looking around, there were no lights on in any of the buildings, signaling that either the people here went to bed early or that it was very late. She figured it was probably really late. 'Father's definitely searching for me by now...' Anna was worried. She was worried because she knew her father was worried, worried about Matthew's feelings after he'd stormed off, worried about the creepy man. Worried about everything.

'...help...'

Erick tilted his head and calmly studied everyone's reactions. The smallest was frightened, as was expected. The store-owner seemed to be pretending that nothing out of the ordinary was going on. Most surprisingly, the boy was back and looking to be under control. That did not set Erick at ease, though. He knew well that many things could break that control. Erick looked disapprovingly at the store owner for attempting to brush away what they had both witnessed.

"A man takes off a silver bullet necklace. His muscles and hair grow to the point that he looks humanoid. The man then bounds off into the night where one can hear a loud howl. I'd say that's sufficient reason to frighten girls in the night. You can act however you want, but you and I both saw the same thing. I would hope that you would also understand that this kind of thing is dangerous, and that if you would understand to take care of the problem before things get out of control. Someone like...that isn't just a danger to himself and those that become his victim. He's a danger to the people around him. Investigators start asking questions, attention gets drawn to you..."

Erick trailed off and let the rest be implied. He waited in the tense silence, but didn't expect much of an answer. They would probably just try to pretend that nothing was wrong and go on living regular lives among normal people. At least until they were responsible for something horrible that they could never reverse.
