Nathalia was leaning on one of the walls of the king's castle with a cigerette hanging in the middle of two of her fingers. She was wearing a pair of black Ray-bans that she 'borrowed' from one of the thousands of stores but no one expected for a little innocent looking girl to do such a thing like stealing, what idiots. She brought the cigerette to her lips as she saw one of her little followers walk up to her. "Hey,Nat. I got somethin' for you but, frist I have a pair of rather nice earings in one of my hands, guess which one and you get the surprise and the earings." Nathalia just rolled her eyes and smirked before exhaling and blowin the smoke in his dirty face. "Frist of all Jackson,my name is Nathalia to you. Got it? Second of all, they're in neither they are in your fucking back pocket. I'm not stupid,I did finish school unlike you." She reached past him into his back left pocket, pulling out a pair of fake dimond earings. She put them into her small black bag with a raised eyebrow. "What's the little surprise of yours? Another beg from your sister to go out with my brother?" She smirked as he tilted her head to the left, letting her brown hair go to one shoulder. Jackson just gave her a dirty look before showing her a envilope addresses to the king and his childern. Nathalia's wide brown eyes went even wider as she grabbed the letter from his dirty little hands. She made sure no guards were watching them, they hated her with all their might but unless they caught her doing something, they couldn't do a damn thing about it. She didn't even take her glasses off as she read the cursive writing. A devilous smile began to creep over her face as she shooed the little teenager away from. She watched him flee into an alley where he lived as she slipped the letter into her bag.

"No smoking near the castle,Miss.Ramos." She looked up quickly and saw a guard who just walked by. She rolled her eyes and dropped it on the cement, stomping on it to put out the fire. "Bite me,Stuid son of a bitch." she muttered to herself as she walked away and towards their small little house, which was away from the rest of the villiage. As she walked up,her large prtective german sheperd stopped her and started to run towards her. She actually smiled as she rubbed her neck and walked into their house with her dog not far behind. "Aze,come here now. I have a little project,we should try." She walked into their kitchen and saw her mother, she wasn't suppost to be home. Damn, think of something! "Oh and Nathalia Alexandera, what is this project?" Her mother almost caught her twice for sneaking in late, thank God for older brothers distracting people. "Um,well I....need help find a job,you know to help out with the debt. And,they're having this project that pays a fortune. But,I need his help." She was such an amazing liar that her mother never questioned her,but she walked towards her and could smell the smoke in her breahe. Nathalia rolled her eyes as her mother exhaled. "What have your father and I told you abou smoking? That it will kill you and if we catch you smoking again that,we'll kick you out.....again." Nathalia scoffed and walked away into her room she shared with her brother but seperated it with a sheet. "Please, you say that millions of times but have never done it. I am eighteen years old,I can do what I want, when I want to do it!"

She slamed the door behind her and started to pack the only bag she had. "Finally going to have enough money to get the hell out of here. Just wait and see." She said it under her breath as she opened a few floorboards under her bed and revealed a few nicer looking clothes she earned by gambling and scaming people. She wasn't proud of what she did butshe had to in order to have clothing, food, and just little things that made her keep living her suckhole of a life. She took off her glasses, tossing them on her bed. She lifted up her twin size matress and grabbed the two packs of cigerettes that she actually bought, surprisingly. She looked around at their small room and exhaled, finally knowing that if she pulled this off then her and her brother would get to go out on their own and get to live their lives not having to worry about what they would have to steal just to feed themselves. But,she was getting ahead of herself, frist she would have to get Aziel to help her. "Please, let him be in a good mood." She looked at the ceiling and exhaled.

"Ugh. What a pain." Niccolo muttered under his breath, drawing his bow. The guards always had to challenge him, see if anyone was a better shot than him. Always the answer was no. Why even bother again? He breathed deeply, in... out... in and and his grip went slack.

With a near silent puff of air, the shaft of the arrow slid off the bow, through the air and with an echoing thud in the silence that surrounded it, connected, dead center with the target almost a hundred yards in front of him. Twelve and one half inches. The arrow's shaft was almost invisible as it delved into the target, the broad head into the wooden tripod that held the target in place. An older gentleman in a guard's uniform approached Niccolo as he turned back around.

"Good on ya lad!" He bellowed in a thick accent. "Why, you never cease to amaze me with these shots. It's too bad your father won't let you join the forces. You'd be worth more than any man out there." The guard clapped Niccolo on the back with a massive grin.

"Thanks Walter." He said, stumbling from the force of Walter's congratulations. "You know dad though. He thinks he's too old for another son." They walked in from the rooftop archery range that the guards used for training and back into the castle. "Besides," he said quickening his pace a little to catch up with a young girl ahead. "One younger sibling is enough for me!" He announced this loud enough so she could hear, then ran upand hugged her. "Isn't that right baby sister?"

"One younger sibling is enough for me!" An unknown[i] person's footsteps could be heard, quickly closing the distance between them, before her brother Nicolo practically jumped onto her back as his strong arms wrapped around her in a tight embrace. "Isn't that right baby sister?"

Victoria rolled her pale eyes as she turned her head to look at her older brother of almost a year, her gaze annoyed for a mere instant before a slow smile spread over her lips and she returned in kind. " Of course only [i]one
is enough, dear brother," she mimicked him with an eyebrow raised. Clearly, the nineteen year old was quite amused by her brother's behaviour, although a bit irritated to be called a baby.. but she managed to hide the latter, with minor difficulties, as always.

" I mean, how crazy would someone have to be to replace me?" She let out a fake gasp of horror, bringing up her arms to push her brother away from her while unable to hold in the few giggles that escaped her smiling lips. Pale blue eyes, usually icy but today rather warm due to her good humour, stared at her brother as she shook her head slowly while turning to continue her own walk to the castle. " Oh, hey, Nic?" Victoria gestured randomly with her right hand, her left swinging with her typically carefree attitude showing through. " Race you!"

With that said, the princess half turned to smile mischievously before facing the direction she was walking again and picking up her pace. Within a few seconds she had brought herself to a sprinting speed, her long blonde curls bouncing loosely over her shoulders and back as Victoria continued on. She didn't bother to look back for there were only two options for her brother to have chosen. One, to not race and continue to walk slowly or, two, Nicolo had chosen to run after her and attempt to beat her.

But, even if he tried, running was something Victoria was good at. Well, she was good at all endurance and cardio, really.

"One shot boy, make it count." Walter said, handing him a small stone then turning with a smile and heading downstairs the back way. Niccolo tossed the stone in the air a few times, wound up, and pitched it, landing it square on his sister's elbow. "That's all I'm going for Vicky!" He called down the hall, stifling laughter. He slowly started walking, his boots thumping on the thick carpet. It took a bit, but he caught up to his sister and wrapped her in a hug. "Come on, I've got a few minutes before I've got to get to work again. What do you say we go downstairs and get a drink hmm?"

As soon as the rock hit her arm she stopped in her tracks for a moment, only turning to glare at her brother before continuing to walk.. rather angrily, she might add. Vicky? Vicky?! Ohhh, Victoria certainly had some good pranks to play on dearest Nicky now. Especially after his calling her that absolutely horrid nickname. He knew she loathed it too.

She crossed her arms over her chest and rubbed her sore elbow as she stepped forward, blatantly ignoring anything else her brother might call to her although unable to ignore the footsteps that steadily grew louder. Nicolo was coming and she was not going to let him off easily for whipping that rock at her, regardless of excuses.

Though, before she knew it the princess was pulled into another hug, one she didn't return as she shot another icy glare at her rather annoying older brother. " Seriously? You want to go and drink after throwing a rock at me?" Victoria rolled her eyes as she hit him in the stomach, aiming to make him release her as she considered this. She had two options; she could enjoy a nice drink with her brother and effectively calm down or she could go and steam to herself. Of course, even someone who didn't know her well would be able to tell the option she certainly preferred.

" Fine," Victoria muttered as she raised an eyebrow at Nicolo, " But later, when you're done work, you are so dead." With that said the blonde turned and made her way to the stairs, stepping down them in her typical manner. Quick and a tad wary; she'd fallen down the stairs in practically every area of the castle enough times to learn to be more careful now.

Niccolo recoiled a bit when Victoria hit him. "Well look at it this way. It could've been a knife. Or arrow. Or very large hen." He said., grinning. He stopped at the top step and leaned against the railing. "Note to self: procure large hen within the week." He announced loud enough for his sister to hear. Then, hopping up on the banister, and slid down, nearly running Victoria over as he did. "You're too careful sister. One day you'll have to realize that." He said as he dismounted. "A little risk now and then normally won't kill you."

" And you look at it this way," Victoria half turned but didn't stop as she spoke, her eyes narrowed as she stared at her rather immature older brother. " Throw a hen at me and I'll make sure you regret it." Her tone was rather sweet as she turned and continued down the stairs, leaping out of the way to narrowly avoid being hit by her brother who was, of course, sliding down the banister like he had always done as a child.

Rolling her aqua coloured eyes, Victoria practically ran down the rest of the steps to smack Niccolo's arm.

" What on Earth did I do to deserve a brother like you?" She groaned, not sincerely meaning it but, at the same time, she partially did. Then she paused in her self-pitying rant to look at him, vague amusement in her eyes as she pushed past him. " By the way, you should stop raping the banister.. I'm sure it doesn't appreciate it." And there went her own maturity right out the window and into the wind.

"Oh I'm going to miss you baby sister. Ah well can't be helped. Maybe I'll get a nice mastiff to replace you. Basically the same. Except it can't talk." His eyes lit up with fake amusement. "Oh glorious day!" He said sarcastically. "By the way, don't forget this." He said pulling an extremely ornate letter from his jacket and sliding it into her hand. "Hope you're got a mask. Well other than the one you have on right now. Much to scary for such a grand party." He said patting her on the head and sliding away before she could hit him.

Victoria rolled her eyes, just about to hit him again, before her eyes caught sight of Niccolo pulling a letter from within his jacket. He made sure she held it before commenting and the princess was ever so tempted to follow his movements just to knock him out. Instead she smiled and nodded in her brothers direction but her attention was otherwise taken now as her hands turned the letter over to open and read it. Her eyes scanned the contents quickly before she returned her cool gaze to her brother who still stood a good distance away, much too far to smack for his degrading comments.

" A masquerade?" The princess muttered, an eyebrow raised as she lifted the hand holding the letter as though to consider it and the invitation it was. " Of course I have a mask," Victoria added, her tone a bit louder as a smirk came to appear on her lips. " And it's rather lovely. But you, on the other hand, may want to find one to hide the ugliness that is yourself." She said this rather formally, mimicking some of those stuffy advisers their parents dealt with.. though, the words were definitely hers. Then she shrugged, advancing a few small steps toward Niccolo as Victoria considered her brother with aqua eyes showing her steadily growing annoyance. Her brother truly knew how to get under her skin like no one else.

" I swear you and the Devil are one and the same.."

"And that's what makes me special dear sister. I can aggravate you to no end, but no matter what you're stuck with me and I'm stuck with you. Now come on I'm thirsty." He said grabbing her wrist and tugging her along. He stopped at the intersection of the halls and turned around. "You know, eventually I'm going to be gone." He remarked seriously. "Just know that you're my one and only sister and no matter what, you'll stay that way." He said with a grin.

" Unfortunately," the blonde grumbled as she found herself pulled along behind her brother, her wrist tightly in his grasp. When he stopped, Victoria nearly bumped into him as she hadn't expected Niccolo to turn around quite so suddenly. She raised her head to stare at him with cool blue eyes, " I know." Her tone was rather uninterested now, perhaps to hide the twinge of sadness that flashed over her expression. " But that's a part of life," Victoria laughed, " and you're getting really sentimental, my dear brother."

Victoria rolled her eyes as she tugged her hand back, crossing both arms over her chest as she raised an eyebrow at her brother for a mere moment before she turned and continued on. " Now, I thought you were thirsty?"

After a while of waiting,Nathalia opened up the window and grabbed a cigeretter, and layed on her bed praying that her 'mother' didn't come in and see. She just wanted to hurry and get this over with, she knew one way or another she would get her brother to agree. She heard a knock on the door, seeing that her father was away on busness and that women never knocked, she knew it was Aze. As he sat down she knew the frist question that would come out, "Whats with the bag?" She threw the cigerette out the window into the small puddle of water below. She sat up on her bed, bitting her lip,a sign that she was up to no good. "Mum tells me you want help with a 'project'?" She shrugged and couldn't help but chuckled,he was going to think she ha lost her damn mind. "i do hope your not doing anything stupid" She tapped her foot on th wooden floor and started to have a devilous smile on her small babydoll face. "You could say that, but that's pretty undiscriptive. What that woman didn't ask you a bunch of questions?" She raised an eyebrow and tilted her head, the sooner she got out of this house the better. She hated her so called mother and she hated her,it be good for both of them. She handed him the letter and the envople. "Your stalker's younger brother gave it to me,I think I have a plan, but you'll have to trust me,"

She looked at the window, because she knew what his frist thought was going to think she was joking. "What would say to alittle trip to Nevea pretending we were the prince and the princess?" She messed with her light brown hair and tapped her foot trying to think of a way to get him into thinking it was a good idea because at frist it souned insane,if they got caught they'd b killed or sentenced to life in not their prison but in the prison in Nevea aka the worse place to end up,even worse than where the lived. She reached into her nightstand and grabbed a locket and ring that her rich boyfriend,Xavier, she would say ex but they never really broke up. He got out,ran away somehow and all she knows is that he's somewhere else in the world. He told her not to worry and to move on from him in the last and final letter he wrote her. So,now it was her chance. She exhaled, she had kept them since she was fifteen but she knew he was right,it has been three years since he had tried and contacted her. She dropped them in her sachel and dropped the memory out of her mind, she knew if they were going to go they would need masks that could fool people into believing them tht they were royality and they were expensive, this was the only way they could afford them.

She felt like she was going to cry,but the last time she cried was when she was seven and she wasn't going to break that record now. She bit her lip and shook her head. "Look think about it,nothing is left for me here. Your mother hates me,my father stands up for her,Xavier is god knows where,I have nothing here. And I can't do this alone." She looked at him with her pleading eyes, acting of course but maybe he couldn't tell that.
