Theme Song:
Sweet Nothing
It isn't easy for me to let it go
Cause
I've swallow every single word
And
Every whisper, every sigh
Eats away at this heart of mine
And there is a hollow in me now

So I put my faith in something unknown
I'm living on such sweet nothing
But I'm trying to hope with nothing to hold
I'm living on such sweet nothing
And it's hard to learn
And it's hard to love
When you're giving me such sweet nothing
Sweet nothing, sweet nothing
You're giving me such sweet nothing

Crush/Match: Matched with Head of Communications Son

Sexual Orientation: Straight

Secrets:
1. Has a crush on Natanaele Boveri - or Genie, and is strongly attracted to him (I guess it's more to his personality than his looks considering she doesn't know what he looks like), even though she's only supposed to be interested in the Head of Communications Son. She tries her strongest to pretend not to be interested, but it's probably only a matter of time before someone will notice.

2. She's anorexic and has an unnatural relationship with food. She'll only eat when she's alone and will never eat more than necessary. She thinks food is disgusting and that it makes her ugly or "bad" if she eats it.

Power: Samantha can tell when you're lying. If you're not telling the truth, she'll sense it. She doesn't know why you're lying or what you're hiding, only that you're not telling the truth. Also, she can tell what mood people are in/what they're feeling just by touching them. If the emotions are very strong, she'll get in the mood herself.
Example: If the person is just a little confused or something, she'll sense it, but it's more like if he had told her. It's just normal empathy and nothing else. But if the person is completely filled with this one feeling or emotion, Samantha might get overwhelmed by it herself. So if the person is extremely angry at this other girl and Samantha touches him, she might feel an unexplainable anger towards this other girl herself. Sometimes for minutes, other times for hours.

Personality: Samantha is a pretty intelligent and sweet girl, but is a lot of times outcasted from other people. She tries her best to be friendly and outgoing, but sometimes her different opinions and meanings either offend or scare people. She does have a bit of a temper and she'll take anything personally, but it has gotten a bit better over the years. She believes in having fun and living your life and would rather travel the world with no money, than live a safe life in a giant mansion. Also, she's not afraid of speaking her mind. With that said, she's a very loyal, honest and nice girl that tries her best not to care too much about what other people think of her, when in reality she's very insecure and hates it when someone dislikes her.

History: Samantha grew up in a rich family, in a rich neighborhood with rich friends. She knew nothing about her parents' secret life. Though slowly she realized that she wasn't normal and she started using her powers. Her parents noticed and forbid her to ever use them again, unless they said so. It was difficult for her though, considering she couldn't control them at all. It was even more difficult to know, that her parents were lying and hiding something from her. It wasn't until she turned 15 that she found out about the Masquerade Club. At first she hated it, but when she found out that she was allowed to use her powers and even had to hide her identity, she learned to love and appreciate it. The only downside is that her mother is the secretary of the club. Samantha or Whisper as she is called has to be extra careful and keep a good "image" all the time. Also, almost everything she does will end up at her mother’s office if she isn't being careful enough. And worse is... she has to be matched with the Head of Communications Son. Not that she doesn't like him; she just wants to be able to choose important things like that herself.

SAMANTHA GRACE LANCASTER

With her hair flying everywhere around her face and her heart racing like crazy, Samantha walked, almost ran, into the ballroom where the masquerade was held as usual. Her mom had arrived ages ago, while her father was at home working on some book. He was very ill and had gotten permission to stay home the next week or so. Only because he was so well-liked among the members of the Council, of course. Samantha sighed and adjusted her mask. Her mum would kill her if she knew how late she was. Precision and perfection meant everything to that woman, one of the things that made Sam and her mum so different.

She slowed down and tried to walk past the group standing in front of the doorway without touching any of them. It was difficult with all the huge ball gowns. Whisper herself was wearing a white evening gown, that by itself might not have been flashy enough, but with her mask it looked amazing. She managed to get past them seemingly without anyone noticing. Even though she was late, not everyone had showed up yet. Half of the floor was actually still empty. Whisper smiled and relaxed her shoulders; she should stop worrying so much about her mother. She glanced around the giant ballroom unsure of what to do for some minutes, but then decided to just stay by herself for a while. Even though she always enjoyed observing the others, she kinda wanted someone to walk up to her. She'd been a member for almost a year now, but only had a few people she talked to. Also, she just wanted something different to happen tonight.

((sorry for the very short and uninspiring post - I promise to make up for it in another post))

Whisper was watching the group of young members at the entrance, when a male she recognised as Gladiator entered the ballroom. He gave a few people a simple nod, including her, before heading over towards the bar. Whisper nodded back and silently walked after him. He seemed irritated. Actually, he always did, but usually he was a lot better at hiding it. Whisper waited until he got his drink and then gave him a smile when he turned around. "Hi." She tried her best to stay cool and not act weird or anything. She knew that not everyone was as open as her. Besides, they'd never really talked before. She ordered a drink similar to his and leaned against the bar counter. She felt like talking and it looked like Gladiator could use some socialising himself.

Whisper glanced down into her drink and swallowed. I wonder how many calories there's in this one...
"So... it's Gladiator, isn't it?" She took one little sip of her drink and smirked nervously. Standing next to him really made him look like a giant. How old was he anyway... 23? "Not so difficult to guess why."

Some guy accidentally jostled Gladiator when he walked past them, resulting in Gladiators hand touching Samantha's arm. It only lasted for a second, but it was enough to make Sam jump back as if she had burned herself. The intense feelings of anger and irritation were flowing through Gladiator like fire and gazoline. For a second she almost got worried, but she calmed down again when she noticed how concentrated he was on trying to stay calm.

"You'll have to forgive me." He said quietly. "I am not...good in social situations. You might find some of the others more pleasant company." Whisper examined him with her eyes, completely disagreeing with what he said. "No, no... You're weird," she said with a slight smile and without realising that she might offend him. "You're interesting. Don't leave just yet." She took another sip of her drink and then placed it on the counter as far away from herself as possible. A girl she didn't recognise was stuffing her face with all sorts of food over at the buffet table and Whisper grimaced in disgust. Didn't the girl have any self-control? And how could she possibly be so fit when she ate like a pig? Whisper shook her head and then looked back up at Gladiator. She wondered what his powers might be. There was so many different people and "abilities", it was difficult to remember all of them. "So tell me... is it super strength? Can you fly? Control the weather?" Whisper gasped dramatically with raised eyebrows, before lowering her voice and smirking teasingly. "Or can you read my mind?" She wondered if he was one of those psychic guys that no one really knew the powers of.
