Aster Rei Elionsvie is a Soldier-grade Exo-armor user in the Stratian army, age 19. Easily recognized by her bright red hair and her custom-painted red exo-armor (See below), Venganza, Aster has gained some slight notoriety in battle for her unstoppable fury, tearing through whatever stands in her way with a vengeance, which is the cause for her armor's name. With searching azure eyes, slightly pale skin, a slender, fairly well-built and developed physique, a total height of about five feet 10 inches, her trademark red hair, and an unceasing demeanor of formality, discipline, and determination, Aster certainly does strike one as a military woman, through and through, despite her lack of age and frontline warfare experience, being only progression level 1.

Onto her armor, Venganza. This crimson exo-armor carries with it a variety of weaponry and special equipment. First and foremost is its rifle, pictured above. This rifle works on a similar principle as a railgun, propelling large shells at high velocities. The difference between the Venganza's rifle and a normal railgun is that the shell is made of concentrated, solidified chi energy, and surrounded by bursts of ionized plasma, melting through energy fields and metal alike, before scattering over the target in a cascade wave of pure, destructive energy, making it capable of utterly decimating a target in just a few shots. This rifle can be fired in massive, devastating torrents, single, razor-thin bolts of ridiculously concentrated energy, or three-shot bursts of concentrated, albeit shorter-ranged beams, and thus is suitable for close combat, anti-armor duty, and for sniping from a range, although Aster most prefers the latter.

The second weapon is the Venganza's shield and lance package, also shown above. This shield contains on its underside a powerful energy field compressor, which concentrates chi energy into the shield surface, thus making it highly resistant to both physical and energy attacks. However, this is not the only purpose served by this generator, for it can also be used to concentrate energy in a powerful set of beam blades from the end of the lance, allowing it to be used as a melee weapon as well as a shield. In addition, the end of the lance can be split open, revealing a powerful cannon also fueled by this energy field generator, allowing the Venganza to fire a devastating energy barrage into a target. The back end of the shield also has a rocket booster attached to it, which can be activated to increase the strength of a swing or lunge greatly. It specializes in speed, its armor having lightened somewhat while its jetpack has grown more powerful. Still, it can stand up to enemy fire just as well as the next exo-armor.

The Venganza has one very, very important special feature it acquired almost immediately: two large, skeletal metal "wings," beneath which are two long tubes. This is the altered form of its jump pack, and is quite a force to be reckoned with. The two tubes are chi "reactors," storing the mysterious energy and concentrating it, first taking in and then exponentially increasing the unit's power output. Normally, they serve as a power source for its now greatly enhanced jetpack, allowing it to move at remarkable speeds to begin with. However, they can be used in two other ways as well.

Firstly, the reactors can release all stored energy at once, coating the unit's frame with it and making it more resistant to damage while simultaneously increasing its speed exponentially. It can only remain in this enhanced state, known as "Supernova," for a short period of time (Three turns, unless turned off early), but while it does, it moves fast enough to leave afterimages behind it, and is almost impossible to hit or damage. (I'll make a skill card based on this, if we're still using that system.)

Secondly, the reactors can fold up over the unit's shoulders, pointing forward and opening up. They can then release concentrated bursts of energy, or all of their energy at once, in devastating waves of chi, obliterating all in their path.

Personality

Aster is a soldier, pure and simple. In conversation, she does not speak out of turn, and maintains a strict military discipline in all affairs. On the battlefield, however, she is another matter. Although her anger does not stretch to such an extent as to cause her to violate orders, her rage in battle is a force to be reckoned with...

Equipment

Aster's equipment is little different from that of any other exo-armor user. She carries with her a uniform jumpsuit and jacket, a canteen of water, emergency rations, and her weapon of choice, a sniper railgun rigged up so as to be powered by Chi energy as opposed to magnetism. Utilizing a long range scope and the destructive power of Chi to reinforce her shells, she is capable of devastating a target. (Note: the railgun doesn't do MORE damage than the average weapon, per say, it just causes damage at a longer range and over a wider area.)

History

Aster was an ordinary girl during the Stratian years of prosperity. During these cheerful years, she cherished her family more than anything, looking up to her father, who was a captain in what standing army the republic had at that time. She, too, wished to become a soldier once she grew up. To be like her father. To protect people. These years of joy and peace could have lasted forever. But, it was not to be, for the cataclysmic failure of the Stratian Ring's systems cost the Elionsvie family its home. They barely escaped with their lives, leaving all of their possessions in the irradiated hellhole which they had once lived in.

Both her mother and father boarded the evacuation ships headed for the planet below, the latter under orders, the former not wanting to leave the latter in danger. Aster was left with an aunt in the untouched districts of the Stratian Ring. It was from here that the young girl who would become a warrior watched helplessly as her parents' transport was blown apart by Artomidian defense squadrons.

As soon as she recovered from the shock of her parents' deaths, Aster swore revenge. She - among many others who suffered similar tragedies - rushed to the recruitment offices, and joined the army. After being rushed through basic, she was deemed eligible for Exo-Armor training, and was quickly shown the ropes in the use of that powerful weapon as well, before she was armed with the necessaries and was thrown out onto the battlefield. Engaging in a few skirmishes on her way to the frontlines where she was needed, she proved her worth, earning the trust of her comrades through her skill with both rifle and blade. She was no longer the helpless girl who had watched her parents burn. She was now a warrior, one who would kill all Artomidian soldiers who stood in her way for the monumental crime of her parents' deaths.

She would have her revenge.

So begins...

Clack, clack, clack. The sound of well polished boots striking the floor with a methodical step was drowned out by other such steps as Aster, among several other soldiers of the platoon, assembled before the Lieutenant in full array, their uniforms impeccable, their weapons well maintained. Aster smiled slightly. This was it. She had finally made her way through boot camp, undergoing rigid training, and she was still here. Finally, she was amongst the ranks themselves, ready to blast off for their enemies' home, to enact revenge a hundredfold for the atrocities the A.N.G. had committed!

Mother... Father... I'm going to avenge you both. The A.N.G. will pay for what they've done, Aster vowed, placing a hand against her forehead in a well practiced salute as her name too was called, one among dozens as the platoon stood at the ready, their voices ringing out in one word, a word which they had probably used more than any other in their life by this point.

"Here, Sir!" Aster replied, a confident smile on her face as she looked on eagerly.

"Yes sir!" Aster repeated, saluting once again before heading off to join the others with whom she had been delegated as a team member. The shapes of Azmeen Seriph, Galian Dekarthate, Vage Leer, all made familiar to her during her time in training and with the other members of the platoon, stood out amongst the crowd, and she made her way over to them, just catching Galian's directions as she arrived.

"Sounds like a plan," Aster agreed, shouldering her sniper rifle. She had already checked over it once before the assembly, and would do so again on the dropship. Aster found herself next to Vage as they made their way from the room, and so nodded to him, giving a few friendly words of greeting. He had been in boot camp alongside her, and they had been next-metaphorical-door bunkmates in the compact living quarters there, so she knew him better than the other teammates she had been assigned to work with.

"Hey, Vage. I hope you're feeling good today," Aster said rather bluntly, smiling wryly, a look of barely-concealed enthusiasm burning in her eyes. "This is the day we've been looking forward to for months, so you don't need to look so worried. I know you have some trouble sometimes, but don't worry yourself. I'll be covering your back, just like I did during squad engagements in basic."

Aster almost sounded normal - or at least, much less rigid and formal than she usually did. This was probably some of her excitement seeping through. She had waited months, undergone rigorous training, and now, she would finally get her revenge. She wanted to see everyone working their hardest to make the A.N.G. pay, and if that meant speaking to a fellow soldier without overusing "sir" and standing stiff as a board, then she would do it.

Aster smiled wryly. Vage had always been one to remain unsure, even unto the last moment. He wasn't an incredibly good soldier - she knew that from watching him in training. Still, she'd interacted with her comrade enough to know he was a genuinely good person, if a bit clueless.

The bodies took her mind off of her obviously nervous partner. She grimaced with disgust, revulsion, hatred, anger, and a thousand other emotions that generally screamed of vengeance, screaming just as the A.N.G. cannon fodder would as she mowed them down without mercy. They had killed so many of the Stratian people... it made her sick. Then and there she vowed to avenge all of these fallen warriors as well as her parents. The A.N.G. deserved no less dead.

"I'm alright," Aster replied coolly, turning once again and entering the dropship. "I agree with Galian, however. The A.N.G. must be brought to account for all of the death and suffering they have caused. I have no preference as to who becomes team leader. As long as we do our duty as Stratians and eliminate those murdering scum, I'll fight under any team commander."

"I remember who you are, DeKarthate," Aster replied calmly. "We were in a squad together for a time during basic. But, since introductions are mandatory, I will do the same as you have. Aster Rei Elionsvie, E-2 - Soldier grade, sniping and overwatch expert with subspecializations in CQC and tactical combat, reporting for duty. It is an honor to serve with you all," Aster said with a rather official, formal tone of voice, standing at attention and giving a salute to the rest of her squad, the very picture of military discipline and respect. The only thing breaking her usual cold, quiet demeanor was the righteous fire of determination and anticipation burning in her azure eyes, and the excited half-smile playing upon her lips. She was quite clearly looking forward to the battle ahead, and she did so without the slightest hint of fear showing through to mar that perfect willpower brought out into stark relief, painted with her young face as a canvas. She was ready - no, eager to fight. One might almost pity those enemies who got in the way of such a driven soldier...

"Oh? You commanded the 325th?" Aster asked, sounding somewhat surprised. "I was the sniper for the 298th. I picked off five members of your squad during the games before my squadron was eliminated and I was forced to surrender. Your tactics were most impressive, sir." Giving a slight smile, she continued. "I have no intention to create animosity between any of us. However, as Seriph is the highest ranked member of this team - and due to my recollection of him being an excellent tactician - I nominate him for the position of team leader. I myself can handle communications, overwatch, and sniper support, and I get the feeling that both Vage and you, DeKarthate, will be more than up to the task of fighting at the front. Of course, if Seriph has a different plan in mind, it would be most prudent to consult now rather than later." She gave Vage and encouraging pat on the back as she spoke, playing him up in the hopes of driving away his fears about the battle. Of all the team members, Vage was the one she knew best - and she also knew that he'd do much better if he had someone at his back helping him along the way than if he was left to worry by himself.

Aster sat silently next to the other members of the team, her rifle locking in place beside her as she herself strapped in. Picking up her own helmet for the ride through the cold void ahead of them, she gave a slight smile to Vage before the metal mask descended, hiding her face from view. The lights died out, plunging them all into darkness.

As she waited for the by-now familiar feeling of the ship lurching beneath them as its thrusters activated and it launched for the planet below, Aster mused over her teammates. DeKarthate was one of the elites from basic. She didn't know much personally of him, but she knew who he was, and his rather impressive record in training. She herself was another one of these elites, having the highest score in long range accuracy and weapons efficiency out of her entire training group. But Seriph... Seriph towered over both of them. He was practically a legend among the cadets of the Stratian Military, having ranked overall highest out of every group in the training course. He had done so well as to nearly warrant an officer's commission without so much as any actual field experience. With him on their side, Aster felt quite confident that they would succeed.

But then there was Vage. She knew he was the son of some big name amongst the Stratian command staff, but he didn't show it. She had known him since the very start of basic, and he had always been nervous, inefficient, and even a bit incompetent. He was a good person - she had realized that from the start. The problem was that just because his heart was in the right place didn't mean that his aim was. Aster was pretty confident in her own, and her squad's ability to keep Vage safe, and she knew that, in a worst case scenario, he could probably fend for himself, but she still didn't like the idea of him on the frontlines. He just didn't seem suited for it. Aster idly noticed that she seemed awfully worried about him, but wrote it off to all the time she had spent helping him through basic. If he got killed or captured, she wouldn't forgive herself for letting someone she considered a comrade down so badly.

"Come on!" Aster roared, leaping out of the dropship and diving behind a rather large bit of rubble as the bullets whizzed overhead. It was just like the war games in basic... soldiers running every which way, sounds of gunfire and explosions, curses, shouts, cries, and people falling. However, unlike those games, this was real war. Aster watched as one of the soldiers leaving the transport was picked off where he stood, his blood staining the Earth below. Having only just landed, they were a prime target...

Aster readied her weapon. When the suppressing fire died down and the enemy had to reload, she would have a chance to shoot, then move to a different position. She kept an eye on her readout, tracking the locations of her squad. She didn't want to be left behind, after all.

"I don't know," Aster said, glancing about from where she crouched. "He might have been pinned down inside the transport. However, I think I can guess where that sniper is. What an amateur, firing so much and not even changing positions." Aster chuckled. Waiting for a lull in the fire as the sniper had to reload - given how little ammunition the rifles held, and how many shots he had been taking, this wouldn't be long - she snapped up for a moment, sweeping her sights up over the highest vantage point.

"Found you," The sniper hissed, lining up a shot. The soldier would be done reloading any second, meaning she had to fire first. Raising the weapon, she pulled the trigger, sending a bullet spiraling toward the elusive foe's head.

"Heh. That was easier than I expected," Aster said, a dark undertone in her voice. "If that's their best, those dogs won't last until tomorrow morning." She ducked as best she could, scouring the horizon for additional targets through the scope of her rifle. Since no one seemed to be shooting at them at the moment, she dropped back down.

"Sounds like a plan, sir," She replied. "He's hailing us right now."

"Roger that. I'll cover you from here. I should be out of range of small arms," Aster said, readying her rifle as she turned on the transmitter within her suit.

"DeKarthate, this is Elionsvie. Leer and Seriph are moving to back you up. Join them once the coast is clear," Aster said, transmitting the message to Galian. Once this was done, the sniper readied her rifle. It looked like one... two... three targets she could see from here. They hadn't noticed her - behind her cover, she looked like little more than some of the rubble. Lining up her shot, she was, however, interrupted by an ear-piercing whirr as a bullet scratched along the edge of her helmet. Her gaze immediately turned upward, and she flung herself down behind a different rubble pile as more shots tore through where she had been crouching.

Judging by the angle of the shots, they were coming from within a ruined building on Aster's flank. Quickly, she turned on her transmitter once again, this time broadcasting to the whole squad.

"This is Elionsvie! There are more snipers flanking me. Sorry, everyone, but it looks like I won't be able to cover you until I pick off these bastards!" She exclaimed quickly, checking her rifle. There was a small notch in the rubble she hid behind. Maybe if she place her rifle there, she could duck down and pull off a few shots. Peering out for a moment, she ducked back as more bullets hailed down around her. That wasn't going to work. Slowly, she crept along the ground behind cover, slipping over behind a fallen pillar. Poking her rifle around its edge, she smirked. They were still firing at her old location. She had located them when she first peeked out - two A.N.G. soldiers with burst fire weaponry in a collapsed office complex across the ruined street. She took aim. She would need to be quick. Once she fired, they would know she had moved, and there would be hell to pay.

Trusting her aim, she fired once at the first soldier, aiming for his heart. Quickly she shifted her sights onto the second trooper, and fired a bullet for the center of his visor. She had to fling herself down before she could check her kills, however, for they had spotted her. She only hoped her shots went home...

Aster couldn't stay in one place. After firing, they would be opening up on her again. Rolling from cover, she sprinted for a few paces and leaped behind another bit of rubble, bullets skimming the ground on her heels. Taking aim as fast as she could, she let off two more shots at the two soldiers in the office building. Unfortunately, she didn't have enough time to line up her shot properly. Cursing under her breath, she threw herself to the side, taking cover again. She was pretty sure she had missed her mark both times.

"Sorry, guys. I'm having a bit of trouble here. This could take a little while!" Aster said over the radio.

(Rolled 19(19.) Hit.)

"Keep your head down, sir. We can't afford to lose our commander to a stray bullet out here," The sniper said, reloading with a speed born of endless repetition. Readying the weapon, she glanced up when an explosion tore through the air overhead. She quickly analyzed what was going on, and smirked. Perfect.

As the soldier dashed across the street, fleeing from Galian, Aster saw her chance. There was a large heap of rubble between herself and the snipers in the building, but now that the third soldier was in the open, she could still shoot through a small gap, and deal at least some damage with impunity. She lined up a shot, aiming for the man's left leg as he ran. She had a perfect target on the back of his kneecap. If this shot struck home, she could shatter the bones in his leg into a thousand tiny pieces. He'd be trapped in the open, meaning Vage and Galian could pick him off with ease.

"Burn in hell, Artomidian dog!" Aster roared. Her aim was true, her shot perfectly aimed. Tensing her finger upon the trigger, she fired, a loud bang tearing through the air as the bullet whizzed toward its mark...

Aster was just shifting her position - crawling away from her current cover to find a better vantage point, when a loud bang tore through the air, shrapnel and rubble raining down on and around her. She let out a cry of surprise as she was picked up by the shockwave and sent hurtling head over heels over the ground, bouncing several times before skidding to a stop. Fortunately for her, the explosion had picked up and moved enough debris that she was now lying behind a small rise, keeping her from being cut down by enemy fire now that she was out in the open. Quickly, she checked herself over. It looked like all of her gear was intact, but, to her irritation, a small shard of steel - probably having formerly been part of a support beam for one of the nearby buildings - had been driven by the shockwave clear through her armor and pierced her side. The wound was not very deep, but damn, it stung! Aster was starting to think that blasting off her target's leg had been too merciful of her.

Well. She had her chance for revenge, now. Dust and debris from the blast was still raining down, and her armor was the color of the street around her. Her enemies were using burst fire assault rifles rather than snipers, meaning they probably wouldn't have infrared scanners and, even if they did, the lingering heat from the explosion would scramble these to the point of being useless. That meant that, for the moment, she was functionally invisible. In addition, the explosion had carried her to the side of her target's cover. She couldn't see his head, meaning a perfect kill shot was impossible, and she didn't have time to move to where she could pull off such a shot without revealing herself.

However, neither of these things would stop her from doing some serious damage if she hit. From here, a well placed bullet could easily rip apart the man's bowels, causing a slow, bloody, painful death - just what he deserved for causing her so much trouble. Taking aim, she carefully lined up her shot through the smoke. The second soldier was still patching up his comrade's severed limb, and the motion gave him away. She had her shot. Taking aim at the third soldier's side, Aster fired once, then shifted her aim toward the head of the second soldier, and fired again.

(Rolled 17. Hit. Rolled 15. Hit.)

Both shots whizzed, one after the other, from the barrel of the sniper's precious gun. Tearing through the air, each struck its mark with varying degrees of success. The first shot would pierce straight through the third soldier's armor, but the recoil caused the aim to foul somewhat. It struck one of the man's ribs and bounced back out of his flesh, leaving a bloody entrance and exit wound behind it. Tortuously agonizing, yes, but not a fatal wound. The second shot, too, went where it was aimed, piercing through the visor of the second soldier's helmet and slamming into his forehead. However, this shot, too, had lost its fatality due to the amount of velocity it lost in tearing through the man's mask. Skidding along the outside of his skull, it tore across the side of his head, sundering his ear before tearing through the webbing holding his helmet to his suit. At least the blood dribbling down his face might ruin his aim, though.

Satisfied with her work, Aster dropped back down behind cover, sliding down the short hill of debris caused by the previous explosion. If she could move around the edge of the crater unseen, she might just be able to pick her enemies off...

Hang tight DeKarthate, I'm going to make sure no ones coming.
=Vage crept up to the remnants of the structures window once more to assess the battleground for incoming enemy combatants. He knew he had to be very careful as the A.N.G's sniper had already wounded Galian, and knew their of their exact location. Trying not to be as minimally exposed as possible, Vage's eyes scanned the area. He was not able to locate the sniper just yet, and he could see far off in the distance Seriph and another soldier exchanging fire, however no one was coming their way. Suddenly way off in the distance he caught an explosion that look like it went off near Aster's location, quickly following it was a retaliatory shot that was sent near their location. Vage followed the tracer of the shot which led to the soldier he attempted to kill earlier.
Vage was amazed how long the man was still alive however he got a better look at the soldier without a helmet, and seen that he was looking toward's Aster's location and holding a detonator. Vage knew that it could be costly if he were to hesitate and let the dying man activate the explosives. It was already bad enough that Galian was wounded on the count of him, he'd never forgive himself if he let another member of his team inflict harm on the count of his poor judgments out here.
Vage propped the barrel of the gun against the corner of what remained of the window and pointed it in Soldier 3's location. He'd normally care that the soldier died quick and painless with a clean shot in the head, however knowing that going for a more difficult shot would mean he'd be gambling with Aster's life, Vage decided to target Soldier 3's chest which had a better chance of getting hit. He breathed a moment, and honed in on the soldier who was on the verge of squeezing the deadman. Vage slowly pulled back on the trigger then fired his shot hoping he had hit his mark.=
XxEvil1xX rolls 1d25 and gets 15(15) hit

=the timing couldn't have been better. Soldier 3 had his firm grip on the deadman switch, and was within seconds of activating the final set of explosives near Aster, when a shot fired from the other direction ripped through the air , shot through the man's chest, and pierced his heart. Instantly the eyes widened and fell on his back lifeless, the detonator falling out of his hands.=
=Vage slumped back down behind cover and breathed a sigh of relief that he stopped the soldier, however then thought about what he just did and began to sob for the man he had just killed.=

***Soldier 1's turn***
XxEvil1xX rolls 1d4 and gets 3(3) Target: Seriph.

=Soldier one ducks and uses his arms to shield him from the debris that blasted into the sky a short distance from him. He shook his head as his ears are ringing and the dirt and rocks fall on his helmet like drops of rain. He stands back up to assess the battlefield and sees his comrade off in the distance shot dead by Vage. The sniper takes him, as he has a clear shot at Vage's head. He takes a breath and pulls back slowly on the trigger, however his shot is interrupted as he hears his other teammate crying for help just below him. The sniper looks down over the ledge he is on and sees Soldier 2 and Azmeen Seriph trading gunfire. The sniper kneels down a moment and pulls out a grenade, he turns the safety dial on the top of it and pushes down the button on top that activates it. The grenade begins to blink with a red light which gradually began to blink faster. He cooks the grenade a moment and then tosses it over the ledge in hopes it catches Azmeen in the blast.=
XxEvil1xX rolls 1d25 and gets 13(13). Miss

=The grenade drops infront of Seriph's feet and instantaneously he recognizes what it is and kicks it off to the side as hard as he could. The grenade flies into the air a couple of meters and blows up behind a corner.
You are all dead you hear me! Both of you
! =through the exterior of the visor a rage burned in Seriph's eyes. He was not going to let up, the only thing on his mind was to kill the enemy before him=
Seriph HP 3/5

***Soldier 2's turn****
XxEvil1xX rolls 1d4 and gets 1(1) Target: Aster
=Finding himself on the defensive, Soldier 2 back peddles as best he can and maneuvers evasively to dodge Azmeen Seriph's pressuring assault against him. When ever he has the chance he fires his rifle off his hip at Azmeen to get him away. His shots would miss Seriph however they were fired in Aster's location. Her general area begins to get peppered by indirect bullet fire from Soldier 2=
XxEvil1xX rolls 1d25 and gets 15(15) Hit

=the shots fly all around her area, she can hear them whizzing by, slicing through the air as they fly by. One suddenly zips past her arm, it wasnt deep however can certainly be felt as it slices her skin open.=
Aster's HP 3/5

=Rain begins to lightly fall upon the battlefield as the war rages in Archacello and the sound of thunder mixes in with the ambiance of bombs and explosives going off=

***Seriph's turn***
=Filled with rage Seriph continued his onslaught against Soldier 2, able to dodge the shots fired upon him by his enemy, and waits for when the soldier finds himself needing to reload before going full throttle at him. The panicking soldier soon does just that as a *click click click* is heard from his gun. The moment Seriph sees the clip drop to the ground, he stops firing and darts after him like a pouncing wolf, moving in close. With the barrel of his own rifle he slaps Soldier 2's rifle out to the side in an attempt to both disarm and make him vulnerable. The moment the barrel of Seriph's gun slaps the other gun off to the side he re-positions his handling of his own rifle and attempts to smash the butt-stock of his rifle into the face of his enemy. =
XxEvil1xX rolls 1d25 and gets 9(9) Miss

=The soldiers gun flies out of his hands, however the A.N.G. soldier was just as trained as the Stratian soldiers. The moment the gun flown from his hands he grabbed hold of Seriph's gun and attempted to push back to at the minimum not be dealt a melee blow, and to hopefully also disarm his own enemy and take his weapon. The two found themselves in a deadlock power struggle with one another as they attempted to pin each other against the wall as they fought.=

=The rain began to come down a little harder=

***Galian's turn*** (Dante, I can only give you 24 hours to post, otherwise you'll skip another turn, again if the fight is still going on you'll get all the turns you missed, back)

"Augh!" Aster exclaimed wordlessly, throwing herself down as the bullets pinged around her, one of them cutting across her arm and dealing a painful, albeit minor wound. So much for slipping up unnoticed on the dying man and finishing him off. Oh well. It looked like Vage had it handled anyway. It was high time, in her opinion, to deal with the nuisance who had just shot her.

"You pest!" She hissed, raising her rifle to return fire once the shooting stopped. To her surprise, however, she saw her target grappling with Seriph in plain sight. It was clear that the enemy sniper wasn't firing yet for fear of hitting his comrade, but Azmeen needed to get down! While she had faith in her aim, she didn't want to end up killing her CO. She took her time to line up her shot. The sniper wasn't in any danger from the enemy rifleman where she currently lay, so she had as much of that valuable commodity as she needed - thank heaven. It looked like each of the combatants had balanced out their weight, meaning they weren't moving much - perfect.

(Aster rolled 10. Miss.)

Just as she was about to fire, however, Seriph was forced into the way, again thwarting her shot. Removing her finger from the trigger it had been only inches away from pulling, she instead was forced to bide her time, waiting for her next opening...

Yet again, Aster had a clear shot, and yet again, she determined not to miss. As the second soldier was being dragged away from the fight, Aster lined up her shot directly at his vitals. With a grin of triumph, like a cat lording its victory over a mouse before devouring it, she readied her rifle.

"Well then, I guess the only thing left to do is finish them off. Take this, ya' bastard!" Aster snarled, firing twice more, hoping to rip apart the man's insides and render him helpless as he bled to death in the ruins of the city he had once called home - a suitably ironic death for a murdering Artomidian, in the sniper's opinion.
