A.N.G.E.L. Commander
With superb elegance and skill in her charisma, it is little wonder how Alexis Star was able to climb the military ladder all the way to the rank of General. Regarded as a formidable leader, General Star is recognized as being one of the few leaders capable of keeping her cool through even the most pressing of issues. Opinions of General Star's leadership is divided down the middle for anyone involved in her operations. Where as one half would see her as a careless risk taker not fit for command, others view her as a military genius. Her complete backing of the Eniknight Project, an untested armor and weapons project that many argue would kill anyone who attempted to test, was one such example that granted her favor and reprise.
Despite her charismatics , unorthodox leadership, and success, one of General Star's main vices is that she is an alcoholic. Too often those who are to enter her office would see a bottle or two sitting at her desk, which she is not modest about partaking. Remarkably however she remains very poised and decisive even in a drunken state. Naturally the A.N.G. frowns highly upon this fault of hers and has tried many times to remove her rank because of it, however higher command knows that it would severely cripple their military to remove her from their ranks.
You are alright
Sir the prisoner is secured and is cleared to egress the holding cell to the desired location
Acknowledged proceed to escort the prisoner to our destination while Ms. Tavian and myself accompany you.
Excuse me for asking but where are we heading
Silence dog!
If I wanted you to strike my prisoner I would have issued you the order to do so. Now again soldier, ESCORT the prisoner to our destination.
Yes sir, very sorry.
Stratian, we are currently located at my division's commander's building. It is here where we will hold the last portion of your military tribunal to determine what is to be done with you now that you are in our captivity.
Is that to include execution?
=his tone of voice then changes to a frustrated yet tolerable one as he continues to speak=Yes, in fact I was the one who argued the validity that you should be executed for your involvement at Arkacello as well as your cardinal sin for residing in the heavens which prompted the catastrophes we all now endure.
.But.. however, Senator Tavian's daughter here for some reason wishes to play devils advocate, and had argued against me for your pardon.. So we shall all find out what becomes of you
I have come with the Stratian prisoner Leer to conclude the mans tribunal.
Very well Captain Stone, General Star has already given you permission to enter.
General Star, before you I have brought the Stratian prisoner Leer, for whom you wish to conclude his tribunal.
With that Vage takes Stone's place while the Artomidian officer sits down.=Very well Captain Stone, you may be seated as the prisoner steps forward.
=General Star says as she drinks some of her scotch while sitting in her chair.=So this is the infamous Stratian commando I have heard so much about... I must admit, not half as intimidating without all that combat gear on. You have really made a name for yourself you do know that. Before I disclose any further information of what I have heard circulating about you, I am needing information from you. I want to be very clear that any lack of cooperation will result in us dismissing your tribunal and Captain Stone will be arranging your firing squad following your exit from this office, so will you cooperate and provide all information I ask?
Wise boy. I am wanting to know your full name, and Stratian rank, spill it.
My name is Vage Leer, I am a soldier basic for the Stratian military's Ghost platoon commando unit.
Giving that you came out alive Mr. Leer, I assume you were able to kill some of our soldiers, if so how many.
I encountered at least three Artomidian soldiers, with which I assisted in killing however not alone and only under the orders of my superiors.
This young lady here, has informed us that at some point during the battle you and your men came across her with the orders to kill her and her younger siblings, is this correct?
Yes Ma'am
=The General questioned=Yet you did not, not only did you not but you instead turned against your own soldiers when someone else in your platoon was going to, quite a bold move, one that even we would find to be grounds for treason, why?
Because it was the wrong thing to do, order or not, killing soldiers is bad enough in my opinion however there just is no plausible reason for killing unarmed civilians.
=She ask=So you admit to assaulting your own superior and men , and aiding Ms. Tavian and her family's escape?
=Vage replies back=Yes ma'am
Well it appears his story checks out.
Well Mr. Leer, now that you have given me a story that literally holds up in court, I will provide for you the intel I have gathered on you from hacked Stratian sources. According to the report that fell on my desk, You are regarded now as an enemy of the State for the Stratian Republic, your actions that saved the Tavian family, to include assault upon friendly combatants, leaving your assigned location, aiding the enemy, has been listed as high treason, in addition they believed your capture was a form of defection. Your head, whether it is on your neck or on a stake is worth a 50,000 credit bounty. To summarize things Mr. Leer, you are actually safer in the hands of your enemy then your home nation.
On our end however you were involved in an invasion that claimed the lives of 20,000 people to include unarmed civilian, a catastrophe that affects the overall well being of all people of the A.N.G. this too warrants you as a dead man.
However given that your actions saved three lives, which whom were listed as your enemy deserves at least some form of a pardon, so I will leave you with two options.
The A.N.G. is conducting a test on a prototype armor that is currently awaiting development, unfortunately development is currently on hold since the previous testers did not survive the production phase. Modifications have of course been fine tuned since then as a result, however given the deaths of the previous testers, volunteers for the project have been few and far between. Many people offered the position, have even branded the project as a death sentence. So my offer to you is this, you can either enlist into the Stratian ranks under close observation and be a tester for our prototype armor despite the risk, or accept the execution, personally I would find it wiser to roll the dice being a living Artomidian, than insuring your death as a Stratian. So which will it be Mr. Leer?
=Vage said=I will do it, I will denounce my status as a Stratian, and take part in this project you speak of.
=General Star looked to Captain Stone before giving him an order=It is quite pleasing to hearing this Mr. Leer.
you may remove his restraints Captain.
=With that Captain Stone unlocked his restraints.=Don't think I will be the least bit easy on you now, you are still a Stratian to me until I deem your not.
Well then, Soldier Leer, Welcome to A.N.G.E.L.
=Vage shook her hand a moment and then saluted her. As his hand was lifted up for the salute, he heard a loud clicking noise. It was then discovered that Captain Stone had applied a collar to Vage's neck similar to the one that is on Raven's neck. Captain Stone then walked around Vage, over to General Star's side and held a remote in his hand=Thank you Ma'am
What is this thing?
While it is great you have opted for joining the A.N.G. rather than remain a Stratian, it does not mean trust will automatically be warranted to you, especially while possessing a prototype that has the potential of being a devastating weapon. What you have on you is a remote sensitive explosive. If for whatever reason you were to turn against us in anyway, a push of a button on the remote Captain Stone has will insure it will be the last thing you ever do. Since Captain Stone will be monitoring your involvement in A.N.G.E.L., I have entrusted the remote set for that collar to him. Do remain on his good side please.
Yes, Ma'am
With that said, May I have you other three step forward, and I will brief you more on why you are here.
=he sneered as he then returned to General Star's side=I will deal with you two later.
oO( Is this guy like this to everyone? )
Mr. Leer, please, you may join these three individuals.
Soldier Remil, please stand at ease. You have demonstrated without a shadow of a doubt that you have proven yourself as a valued soldier within the A.N.G. If you only knew of all the positive feedback that the 11th A.A.S.T. Command has circulated about you, you would understand why you have been hand picked for the accommodation you are about to receive.
I will first tell you this, even though the Battle of Richmont ended in defeat, your squads efforts were not overlooked. It is because of your squads actions in holding back the Stratian offensive as long as you did, is why 800,000 people owe their lives to you for their escape to Caska and Holygrounds, as well as allowed for the strategic retreat of 12,000 able soldiers who are now aiding the Caska regiment on the frontlines at our prefectures boarders.
The Artomidian Airborne Shock Troop detachment has recognized you by name for leading a fighter squadron of Stratian Arrow Piercer Fighters away from their position which greatly aided them against the Stratian invaders.
Because of their valued service the 11th A.A.S.T. has been absorbed by A.N.G.E.L. and will be the first detachment to push back the Stratians as Eniknight Legionaries. Also because of your recognized service you have been awarded the Heaven's Sword, One of the highest awards to be bestowed upon a soldier during war time.
=The General opens the second box and pins the officers rank on her lapel=In addition, to this medal, it has been unanimously agreed upon by A.N.G. High Command that you are to be stepped promoted from Senior Soldier, to 2nd Lieutenant (Lt.).
You're duties and responsibilities will be briefed to you in private however there are two orders of business regarding your new position that we will discuss here and now.
The first of which is, the individuals you see before you will be assigned to your squad to include the former Stratian Leer and another individual currently en-route Senior Mezzerai. They will answer to your orders, while Captain Stone will serve as your superior officer as Company Commander. I expect great things out of your leadership 2nd Lt. Remil , I trust the men and women under you will be cared for and in turn care for you.
Lastly a detachment with such merits is worthy of some prestige within our ranks, this is my personal award to your detachment, to allow your men to be branded with something more than a number. Your first duty as Squad Commander of the 11th AAST is to grant them a name worthy of their praise, something they can find more pride in than just saying they are the 11th AAST.
.Richmont's Hawks it is then
=She says as the others in the room look his way, Captain Stone behind them, burning a hole through him with his glare=Senior Mezzerai, I would like to introduce you to your new detachment
Lieutenant, care to fill your soldier in?
=he said in a firm almost threatening tone as he walks toward the General=Lt. Remil, you are aware that it is my jurisdiction to determine who does and does not get assigned suicide missions. I highly suggest you keep your soldiers in check. Lesson one for officers, the officer is the first to be accountable for the soldiers actions
If nothing more needs to be addressed, I will go and inform the development team that the soldiers are on their way.
Very well, Captain you are dismissed
=The Captain says as he salutes the General and takes his leave.=Ma'am.
As for the rest of you, you are to proceed to Weapons development lab, you will find it east of this building, two blocks away, you are dismissed.
ma'am
Ma'am?
Dont let Captain Stone, or any of the others get to you. Even though you still hold prisoners status, you are still part of ANGEL and I expect you to be treated no differently than anybody else under my command. Talk to me if you find my expectations are not met.
=he says as he exits the door and joins the others toward the weapons lab=ma'am
That was quite a performance you put on Lieutenant Vai
=Captain Stone briefly says out of reverence to her by acknowledging her presence=General.
Place her down here and then lay on that one over there.
Hey idiot, next time I tell you to pull someone out of the arena like that I mean you think for a second and put your armor on and bring that person back! One little piece of debris flying high speed at your unprotected head and I would have had two dead dumbass officers right then and there. Do it again and the next thing you will be fighting will be piss stains in all the base urinals.
Came the command from Captain Stone.Hey dumbass, we gave you that thing for a reason. Sit your ass back down.
When everyone is done having their boo-boos kissed, get your asses over here, General Star would like to speak with you.
