a character in “A.N.G.E.L. The Eniknight War”, originally authored by XxEvil1xX, as played by dethlok

Description

Name: Kay Luka Stone
Age: 28
Allegiance: A.N.G
Rank: O-3 Captain
Total Exp: 0, Next to level: 10
Level: 0
HP: 5/5
Dice: 1D25

Perfectly living up to his last name, Captain Stone is not one to easily show mercy towards anyone that stands in his way. Stone is a very compassionate man and at times can be viewed as hot headed , and is a stanch believer in the Artomidian religion of Enjeruism, the dominant religion that is to be a driving factor that invoked the war. Because of his beliefs, Captain Stone is very quick to show disdain for the Stratian people, even before the war erupted.
Despite his compassion, Captain Stone is all business when it comes to his duties. His eight years of service and training has hardened him into a highly disciplined killing entity; his leadership qualities are also up to par though sometimes his discipline is seen as too harsh for the men he commands. Because of his commendable performance in the A.N.G. military Captain Stone has been reassigned from the frontlines as an infantry platoon officer to becoming the first direct commander of A.N.G.E.L. , with General Star as his superior officer.

Personality

Because of his Cratorian roots (prefecture B-6) Captain Stone is very adapt in using swords, and will often prefer to use melee over long range tactics, However because of his longstanding experience and training, Stone has learned to be more rounded and is not one to hesitate using a gun when needed.

Equipment

Image
Once Stone was finally able to convince the A.N.G.E.L. commander in allowing him to command his soldiers in his own eniknight armor, he was given the first officer grade eniknight nicknamed " Red Principality" Which exhibits all the same qualities of the standard eniknight however with a further reinforced armor for added protection. The Red Principalities signature move is the "demon flare" a blast of energy that take the shape of a jackals head that the Red Principality is slightly able to steer into his target momentarily/

So begins...

Chapter 2: Birth of the Eniknights, Forging of A.N.G.E.L

=Two days have passed since the city of Arkacello has been toppled by the Stratians military. As the clock tics away the Stratians are spreading further inland over the Artomidian capitol, while the A.N.G. has been building up their defenses. Already the Stratians are marching into the next neighboring city of Arkacello, called Coldahn. Having suffering such heavy losses at the initial invasion, the Coldahn militia has decided to strategically regroup with its Eastern neighboring city at the prefectures edge, which prevented a needless slaughter of valuable combatants however at the cost of yet another Stratian victory. =
........................................................................................................................

=After being captured by the A.N.G. Vage has spent the past two days sitting in a prison cell in Holygrounds. Despite being the enemy a medical team was able to relocate his arm back in its socket and tend to his injuries when he was knocked out. Vage's eyes open up at the sound of footsteps walking near him. There were two sets he could hear of. His eyes were blurry and out of focus and tried to adjust to see a man standing from the other side of the cell's bars. The figure appeared to kneel down and pick up a bucket of water that was set out for Vage to drink if needed. Upon picking it up the man threw the water at Vage to wake him up=

On your feet Stratian!

=drenched yet now fully conscious Vage spits out what water got in his mouth and then does what he is told and stands at his feet. Now able to focus in and see that a man in an A.N.G.'s officer uniform with long white hair, holding an empty bucket stands before him. Vage's eyes travel to the mans name tag that reads "Stone", he then looks up and sees the man is carefully observing him and then looks over to his side to the person who accompanied him who is not yet in view. =
Is this the prisoner you are wanting pardoned Ms?

=Captain Stone steps back to allow the other person to step forward=

Nia sees Captain Stone throw water onto Vage and she desperately wants to stop this act, he saved her and she owes him. However, she lets it slide and waits for Captain Stone to invite her in the room; he seems tough and she decides to stay on his good side. She hears him speak to her and walks forward and stops next to him. Her hands are behind her back as she looks at Vage. He looks well and that makes her very happy. Nia had been pacing her room for two days, waiting to hear about Vage and hoping he would recover. She gives him a smile then looks up at Captain Stone. "Yes, sir." She says, glancing back at Vage with that same joyful smile.

=Understanding that he is a prisoner of his nations enemy, Vage though still angered by the rude awakening Captain Stone gave to him quickly changed the moment Nia stepped into view. He smiled to see that she was alright. He had no clue at all what had happened to her after being rendered unconscious by the A.N.G. soldiers that have captured him, and is now fortunate to know her fate was more promising than what she had feared. Still not knowing the young womans name he simply replied with a few words and a smile=
You are alright

=Captain stone then nodded to Nia and then with a head gesture signaled for two of the A.N.G. prison guards to come forward. One of the soldiers pointed a rifle at Vage to insure he didnt try anything funny while the other soldier unlocked his cell and had his wrist and ankles hand cuffed. Both soldiers then pulled Vage out of his cell and stepped behind him their weapons at the ready in the event he tried to escape. One of the soldiers looked to Captain Stone and spoken=

Sir the prisoner is secured and is cleared to egress the holding cell to the desired location

=Captain Stone looked at them and nodded=
Acknowledged proceed to escort the prisoner to our destination while Ms. Tavian and myself accompany you.

=With that Vage, being carefully escorted by the two soldiers exit the prison with Captain Stone next to him and Nia to the outside of the Captain.=

=As they all exit the prison Vage finds himself at the A.N.G.s main military base named after the capitol city it resides in "HolyGrounds." Vage looked to the sky and can see his former home stretching across the sky from one horizon to the next, resembling only a small line that from where he is standing only appears to be a few millimeters thick. Around the ring he sees tiny lights that fade in and out like lightning bugs in the sky however he knows such lights are from aerial explosions of aircraft being destroyed in combat, presenting a morbid beauty for the planets ambiance . He looks down and he can see A.N.G. soldiers everywhere, in one area off in the distance he can see them doing weapons qualifications on a shooting range, off in another location he can see them sparing hand to hand in close quarters combat training, and in another location he can see an instructor barking orders at his men to scale an obstacle course. Seeing all of this really opened Vage's eyes up to realize that he had underestimated his enemy, now seeing that they go through just as much intense training as he did.
After about seven minutes of walking and silence they enter a large building that has been ordained by statues of heroes from Artomidia's past, once they have stepped foot on the freshly polished floor Vage decided to break the silence and speak up=
Excuse me for asking but where are we heading

=With that said one of the soldiers behind him struck him in the back with the butt of his gun=
Silence dog!

=Captain Stone raised his hand to command the soldiers to stop and faced him=
If I wanted you to strike my prisoner I would have issued you the order to do so. Now again soldier, ESCORT the prisoner to our destination.

=The soldier paused a moment and rendered a salute before proceeding=
Yes sir, very sorry.

=Captain Stone sighed a moment as he pinched the bridge of his own nose in frustration then he decided to reply to Vage=
Stratian, we are currently located at my division's commander's building. It is here where we will hold the last portion of your military tribunal to determine what is to be done with you now that you are in our captivity.

=the group enter an elevator and as the elevator doors closed to move up to the desired floor Vage replies to Captain Stones statement=
Is that to include execution?

=A pause falls over the group in the elevator as Captain Stone pondered a moment on whether or not he should reply since they where in such an enclosed space and he didnt know how Vage would react, however once the elevator doors opened up and they stepped out Stone then replied=
Yes, in fact I was the one who argued the validity that you should be executed for your involvement at Arkacello as well as your cardinal sin for residing in the heavens which prompted the catastrophes we all now endure.
=his tone of voice then changes to a frustrated yet tolerable one as he continues to speak=
But.. however, Senator Tavian's daughter here for some reason wishes to play devils advocate, and had argued against me for your pardon.. So we shall all find out what becomes of you
.

=Vage very humbly replies with an "I see" as they continue to walk down the hall. As they do so Vage can look through the window of an office seeing two officers yelling at each other, presumably over a battle strategy while another officer is rubbing his face, no doubt stress before walking to the window and shutting the blinds. In another office window Vage sees a woman cleaning out the office of what he guesses is her husband, tears in her eyes leading Vage to believe the man might have been killed in combat. After passing the second office the group comes to a door guarded by two A.N.G. soldiers on the front of the door it reads "A.N.G.E.L. Commander B. General Star."
Captain Stone steps forward to address his business before the guards as they salute him.
I have come with the Stratian prisoner Leer to conclude the mans tribunal.

=The two guards then stand aside to allow them to enter=
Very well Captain Stone, General Star has already given you permission to enter.

=The doors then open and the group enters. Before them they see a woman sitting at her desk, off to the side are three other A.N.G. soldiers wearing their dress uniforms and sitting in comfortable chairs as if they have something also to do with this meeting. The three soldiers before them sitting down are Aerionelle Franz Remil, Raven Rookien, and Ryunosuke Unemori. =Vages eyes glanced at all of them a moment before returning back to Captain Stone who walked towards the womans desk, stopping a short distance from it to salute, and speek=
General Star, before you I have brought the Stratian prisoner Leer, for whom you wish to conclude his tribunal.

=The woman sips what appears to be a glass of scotch before setting it down and standing to return Captain Stones salute=
Very well Captain Stone, you may be seated as the prisoner steps forward.
With that Vage takes Stone's place while the Artomidian officer sits down.=

=After the pause of silence General Star speaks to Captain Stone and Nia=
Well it appears his story checks out.

=General Star stands up and walks around to the front of her desk where she sits on top of it pouring herself another glass of scotch.=
Well Mr. Leer, now that you have given me a story that literally holds up in court, I will provide for you the intel I have gathered on you from hacked Stratian sources. According to the report that fell on my desk, You are regarded now as an enemy of the State for the Stratian Republic, your actions that saved the Tavian family, to include assault upon friendly combatants, leaving your assigned location, aiding the enemy, has been listed as high treason, in addition they believed your capture was a form of defection. Your head, whether it is on your neck or on a stake is worth a 50,000 credit bounty. To summarize things Mr. Leer, you are actually safer in the hands of your enemy then your home nation.
On our end however you were involved in an invasion that claimed the lives of 20,000 people to include unarmed civilian, a catastrophe that affects the overall well being of all people of the A.N.G. this too warrants you as a dead man.

However given that your actions saved three lives, which whom were listed as your enemy deserves at least some form of a pardon, so I will leave you with two options.

=General Star tops off her glass and sips it before continuing=
The A.N.G. is conducting a test on a prototype armor that is currently awaiting development, unfortunately development is currently on hold since the previous testers did not survive the production phase. Modifications have of course been fine tuned since then as a result, however given the deaths of the previous testers, volunteers for the project have been few and far between. Many people offered the position, have even branded the project as a death sentence. So my offer to you is this, you can either enlist into the Stratian ranks under close observation and be a tester for our prototype armor despite the risk, or accept the execution, personally I would find it wiser to roll the dice being a living Artomidian, than insuring your death as a Stratian. So which will it be Mr. Leer?

=The offer seems no doubt a blessing knowing that Vage's fate was not yet sealed however he still stood their and thought a moment of what exactly this would mean. By agreeing to the terms offered to him, Vage would solidify the claim that he had turned his back on his own people. He thought back at the people who he would be betraying; he recalled that many of them really didnt treat him like a friend at all, growing up his peers ostracized him, most of his combatants in training treated him rotten, and even his own adopted father, a prominent officer in the Stratian military forced him against his will to fight in the war. Still though he thought of the person he had befriended while enlisting. He recalled the good memories of how Aster helped stand up for him against more hostile trainees, and helped him qualify from basic training, he recalled how she help him see the lighter side of things whenever possible as flashbacks of comical scenes between the two ran though his head. But then his thoughts shifted to the sound of an incoming bullet tearing open the air as it struck his arm. Even she eventually was out to kill him in the end. That final thought was enough to tip the skills for Vage to favor the offer given to him by the A.N.G. commander.=

I will do it, I will denounce my status as a Stratian, and take part in this project you speak of.
=Vage said=

=General Star drank more from her glass and then set it down and stood up from off the desk=
It is quite pleasing to hearing this Mr. Leer.
=General Star looked to Captain Stone before giving him an order=
you may remove his restraints Captain.

=Captain Stone stood up and walked to him=
Don't think I will be the least bit easy on you now, you are still a Stratian to me until I deem your not.
=With that Captain Stone unlocked his restraints.=

=General Star then took a step closer to Vage and extended her hand=
Well then, Soldier Leer, Welcome to A.N.G.E.L.

Thank you Ma'am
=Vage shook her hand a moment and then saluted her. As his hand was lifted up for the salute, he heard a loud clicking noise. It was then discovered that Captain Stone had applied a collar to Vage's neck similar to the one that is on Raven's neck. Captain Stone then walked around Vage, over to General Star's side and held a remote in his hand=

=Feeling the collar with his hands he questioned it=
What is this thing?

=General Star then speaks up=
While it is great you have opted for joining the A.N.G. rather than remain a Stratian, it does not mean trust will automatically be warranted to you, especially while possessing a prototype that has the potential of being a devastating weapon. What you have on you is a remote sensitive explosive. If for whatever reason you were to turn against us in anyway, a push of a button on the remote Captain Stone has will insure it will be the last thing you ever do. Since Captain Stone will be monitoring your involvement in A.N.G.E.L., I have entrusted the remote set for that collar to him. Do remain on his good side please.

=Vage looked to Captain Stone who gave him a look right back then turned back to General Star and replied=
Yes, Ma'am

=General Star finished her glass and put it with the bottles on her desk=
With that said, May I have you other three step forward, and I will brief you more on why you are here.

(Well, I was going to wait for the others to post, but since they won't, I guess I will.)

Aerionelle was already standing up when the captain yelled his reproof - probably at the other two, but she could never be sure with the higher ups - and as such, was a little annoyed to be included in the group that was getting yelled at. Stepping forward, she sighed, stood at attention, and saluted.

"Senior Soldier, Aerionelle Franz Remil, of the 11th AAST Corps, commander of the 7th squadron, reporting for duty, ma'am. What is it that I shall do?"

(heya ya other guys, I know one of you is having computer problems and the other is having personal problems, so dont think I mean anything by this, its just to move the story along)
=Aerionelle was correct that his scolding was indeed not directed at her but more so at the other two whose attention seemed to stray. After seeing that the two weren't even paying attention to his own commands, the Captains blood began to boil. He clenched a fist a moment to where his knuckles whitened at the force of his grip. He wanted to jump down their neck for their lack of attention however he knew it would be out of General Star's interest to see him do so, instead he thought of the most delicately reprimandable action for them while being in his superiors presence. With violently loud footsteps the Captain walked past Senior Aerionelle who was the only one who properly reported in, and stormed towards Ryunosuke and Raven. He grabbed the two by the lapels of their uniforms and forcibly pulled them forward to where they were soon standing next to their peer at attention. Once he got them to where they needed to be he leaned forward to where his head was inbetween the ears of both Raven and Ryunosuke.
I will deal with you two later.
=he sneered as he then returned to General Star's side=
=Vage blinked and thought to himself=
oO( Is this guy like this to everyone? )

=The General returned Aerionelle's salute=
Soldier Remil, please stand at ease. You have demonstrated without a shadow of a doubt that you have proven yourself as a valued soldier within the A.N.G. If you only knew of all the positive feedback that the 11th A.A.S.T. Command has circulated about you, you would understand why you have been hand picked for the accommodation you are about to receive.

=Captain Stone picks up a box with the newly crafted crest of the A.N.G.E.L. engraved on top of it.=
I will first tell you this, even though the Battle of Richmont ended in defeat, your squads efforts were not overlooked. It is because of your squads actions in holding back the Stratian offensive as long as you did, is why 800,000 people owe their lives to you for their escape to Caska and Holygrounds, as well as allowed for the strategic retreat of 12,000 able soldiers who are now aiding the Caska regiment on the frontlines at our prefectures boarders.
The Artomidian Airborne Shock Troop detachment has recognized you by name for leading a fighter squadron of Stratian Arrow Piercer Fighters away from their position which greatly aided them against the Stratian invaders.

Because of their valued service the 11th A.A.S.T. has been absorbed by A.N.G.E.L. and will be the first detachment to push back the Stratians as Eniknight Legionaries. Also because of your recognized service you have been awarded the Heaven's Sword, One of the highest awards to be bestowed upon a soldier during war time.

=General Star opens the box that is in Captain Stones hands and pulls out a medal of a winged sword pointing up, blade running through the center of a halo. The General pins the medal on Soldier Remil's chest, while Captain Stone replaces the box with another=

In addition, to this medal, it has been unanimously agreed upon by A.N.G. High Command that you are to be stepped promoted from Senior Soldier, to 2nd Lieutenant (Lt.).
=The General opens the second box and pins the officers rank on her lapel=
You're duties and responsibilities will be briefed to you in private however there are two orders of business regarding your new position that we will discuss here and now.

The first of which is, the individuals you see before you will be assigned to your squad to include the former Stratian Leer and another individual currently en-route Senior Mezzerai. They will answer to your orders, while Captain Stone will serve as your superior officer as Company Commander. I expect great things out of your leadership 2nd Lt. Remil , I trust the men and women under you will be cared for and in turn care for you.
Lastly a detachment with such merits is worthy of some prestige within our ranks, this is my personal award to your detachment, to allow your men to be branded with something more than a number. Your first duty as Squad Commander of the 11th AAST is to grant them a name worthy of their praise, something they can find more pride in than just saying they are the 11th AAST.

Richmont's Hawks it is then
.

=Everyones attention was then abruptly pulled to the door way as a womans scream could be heard. Captain Stone darts infront of the general serving as her shield as he pulls out his pistol and aims it at the entry way. The doors swung open for Cyrus entrance. Captain Stone's eyes narrowed as he aimed at the mans head a moment, slowly pulling back on the trigger. As soon as Cyrus brought up his hand to salute and announce himself, Captain Stone eased up on the trigger and looked at him make his way to a chair before gazing toward the General as if asking for permission to tear this guy a new one for creating the scare that he did, and dripping blood all over the Generals marble floor.
General Star gave a laughing smirk a brief moment as she closed her eyes and shook her head as if she knew what he was thinking. She walks over to Cyrus=
Senior Mezzerai, I would like to introduce you to your new detachment

"Roger, Ma'am." The now-Lieutenant saluted, then turned to face the new arrival. "Greetings. I am Second Lieutenant Aerionelle Franz Remil, commander and field operations director of Richmont's Hawks, former 7th squadron of the 11th AAST corps, now First Squadron of the Artomidian National Government's Eniknight Legion - or A.N.G.E.L. - a special military unit that will utilize prototype technology to help drive back the Stratians. In layman's terms, we're super soldiers. To make a long story short, you've been transferred to the division along with the others in this room with you. We are to receive these new Eniknights soon, and make immediate use of them, under the direct command and supervision of General Star and Captain Stone, both of whom are standing before you. Do you have any questions?"

Cyrus began to work a kink out of his neck with a crack as he listened to the explanation. He smiled as h straightened out the kink with a satisfying snap. He began to get excited with the new assignment. He had always loved new and advanced gear and there EniKnights sure seemed like some high octane stuff. " So basically we've been selected test out some experimental high powered weapons and be super hero's." With a hearty laugh Cyrus leans back in his chair. "Sure glad i didn't miss this one eh captain?" Cyrus nudges captain stone with his bloodied elbow in mock friendship though fully aware of the mans distaste for him. He turned back to the lieutenant with a intensely excited glare. "So when do we get to see these works of militarized art?" Eager to get his hands on a new tool for destruction the former mercenary was itching for some practice time, though not to much he wanted to try whatever this top secret weapon was out in the real world asap.

=Captain Stone looked down at the blood on his uniform. His eyes studied it and then arose back at Senior Mezzerai it was very opperant he was trying everything to keep his cool and not fly off of the handle and kill this man. Without his eyes leaving Mezzerai he speaks to the newly appointed Lt.=
Lt. Remil, you are aware that it is my jurisdiction to determine who does and does not get assigned suicide missions. I highly suggest you keep your soldiers in check. Lesson one for officers, the officer is the first to be accountable for the soldiers actions
=he said in a firm almost threatening tone as he walks toward the General=
If nothing more needs to be addressed, I will go and inform the development team that the soldiers are on their way.

=General Star nods=
Very well, Captain you are dismissed

Ma'am.
=The Captain says as he salutes the General and takes his leave.=

I am needing each of you to step into the vats at this time.
=were the words from Dr. Splietzer that the three testers overheard on an intercom. Vage and Cyrus were to look up and see aDr. Splietzer hunched over a control pannel with a microphone and next to a blue haired woman, as a team of scientist worked around them. Vage and Cyrus both enter their seperate chambers, barefeet stepping to the pink powder that feels like silt.
Once they enter the vats the chamber seals tightly.
=One of the scientist at a terminal then reports to Dr. Splietzer=
Vats 4 and 5 are ready for commencement, vat 1 is still pending.

=Dr. Splietzer leans close to the mic and speaks=
Lt. Remil, you are needed to step into your vat at this time.

=After Dr. Splietzer gave his directions to Aerionelle the ding from the elevator is heard once more as its doors open and Captain Stone steps through. The armed guards in the room snap to attention at his presence, while he mutters his command to put them at ease.=
As you were
=the soldiers returned to their regular possition.=

=He approaches the doctor and stands beside him=
How is the procedure coming along?
=the Captain ask=

=The Captain was no exception to the Doctors regulations regarding cleanliness, before the doctor would reply to the Captains question, he picked up the cleaning agent and sprayed him with it. The Captain coughs and wipes off the foam from his face, controlling his anger being already aware of the doctors quirky ticks.=
Two of the three soldiers you brought me are prepared for the development process, once the third is in place the final phase of development will be underway
. =the doctor says before his eyes shifted toward Captain Stone=
It was my understanding that there would be more Captain Stone?

There were, however our intelligene has reported a new Stratian advancement is moving in from the southern border of the prefecture , and their specialties are required there at this time
. =Answered the Captain=

So it will be just these three along with the earlier three legionares that will be involved in the first combat observation?
=The doctor said refering to Laymin Shyvell and her two teammates who have already survived the eniknight development sequence.=
=Captain Stone looked over Dr. Splietzer's shoulde, noticing Soldier Basic Shyvell, one of the first eniknight legionares, in attendance=
That is correct.
=He answered, changing his attention to that of the testers through the window, studying them as a feeling of envy for them falls over him=

Having paused to watch the monitor a moment, the lack of response from the Doctor was the only sign of warning Laymin got. By the time she turned around to check just what he was doing, it was too late. ā€œWell Do-ACK!ā€ Coughing a bit as the decontamination foam got in her mouth, Laymin hurriedly shook herself off, before trying to scrub the disgusting taste from her tongue with her gloved fingertips. By the time she was done with that spectacle, it still felt like sheā€™d swallowed a bar of soap. In annoyance, she wiped the saliva from her gloves onto the coat of Splietzer. Still frustrated that the Doc had managed to hide yet another sanitizer in the room (Sheā€™d had the foresight to remove the obvious ones beforehand), she heavily leaned in on his shoulder, pushing her weight down on him.

ā€œGive me some warning next time, Doc.ā€

The nearby ding of the elevator drew Layminā€™s attention, and upon seeing just who had come to survey the project, she immediately corrected her slouched posture and saluted. It didnā€™t seem to matter too much, as she was given permission to stand down, moving slightly to the side of the doctor and leaning her back against the window as she listened in on the conversation. So, finally theyā€™d be seeing some action on the front lines. Sounded perfect to her. Well, except one thing.

ā€œYou sure about sending us out into the field so soon? I mean, you havenā€™t even finished the project on those three, shouldnā€™t there be combat simulations andā€¦ā€ Laymin trailed off at the expression the two gave her. Soldiers werenā€™t supposed to have opinions on such matters, especially one of her level. Even if they did, there was certain etiquette to be followed. Quickly, she corrected herself, before saluting. ā€œApologies for speaking out of turn, sir. It wonā€™t happen again.ā€

Sir, all vats are ready and awaiting the production sequence to begin
=were the words of one of the scientist from behind a terminal=

=The doctor unbeknownst of the saliva found on the back of his lab coat replies to his assistant=
initiate phase one.

roger, switching on vat turbines and activating electron disruption set at 10% output
=Said the assistant as he flipped three switches and began to slowly turn a red dial=

=It was at this moment Laymin questioned about herself and the other legionaries being sent out to combat. A pause fell over the observation room a moment until Laymin corrected herself for what she believed to be speaking out of turn. Ordinarily Captain Stone would reprimand someone for doing this however because she was quick to correct herself, he chose to be lenient.=

The combat observation will not be against the Stratians, Soldier Shyvell, your combatants you will be facing are those three down there. This exercise will be the training you feel is needed. I expect an excellent performance from all of you.
=Captain Stone says as he looks down, glancing toward Lt. Revil, whom stands at attention in the vat as the fans at the vat ceilings begin to turn on, stirring up the enifiberous particles into the air. With a stonecold expression on his face as he glares at her, he raises his hand rendering a salute of recognition to her, as it is hard telling if she or any of the other two will survive through this. She is able to see him salute before a pink cloud of the particles mask the three of them from seeing anything beyond a few inches infront of them. All three of the testers begin to feel a slight itch feeling=

At Captain Stoneā€™s firm but informative clarification, Shyvell watched the procedure a little dumbfounded before remembering her position, saluting once more. ā€œOf course, Sir. Youā€™ll have nothing but my best.ā€ Nodding slightly before turning back to the vats, Laymin shook her head a little as she went into her own thoughts. Of course thereā€™d be combat sparring, dummy. Now you just look more like a rookie then ever. No wonder youā€™re still at the bottom of the totem poleā€¦ Continuing to mumble to herself, she watched Second Lieutenant Remil disappear amidst the fluffy pink fog, before turning her attention to the other two, Leer and Mezzerai. Sheā€™d been given the dossiers on each of them seeing as theyā€™d be part of the same project, but as of yet, she hadnā€™t taken the time to really read over them. What she did know, was the result of general knowledge and hearsay, neither of which she knew was that reliable.

The little lady, Aerionelle, was a member of the Richmont Hawks and decorated as a crucial and pivotal combatant in its defense at the battle of Aracello. Having had theā€¦ ā€˜Privilegeā€™ to see the woman near naked a few moments ago, she could see why the male soldiers referred to her as ā€˜The Flower of the Skies.ā€™ Still, such a pretty name and face obviously masked a talented soldier, and Laymin would be sure not to take her lightly in the training scenario. Next, was Senior Soldier Mezzerai, whose past was pretty much a mystery. Unlike the Lieutenant, whom Shyvell had attended the promotional ceremony, Mezzerai wasnā€™t nearly as notable, nor was he really the target of any gossip other than the occasional misconduct or rebellioud act. Finally there was Vage Leer, and potentionally, the person Shyv could relate to the least. Word was he wasnā€™t even part of the Artomidian military, and had only recently been adopted into the program as a traitor to the Stratians. Sheā€™d heard some rumours about protecting civilians, a pardon from the General, and something about a ā€˜securityā€™ measure should he turn back against the A.N.G., but in all honesty, the mystery surrounding the soldierā€™s origin made it hard to judge fact from fiction. Maybe she should get to having a read of that reportā€¦

Regardless, seemed her knack for getting into trouble was going to bite her; as she was quite certain that both Remil and Mezzerai were going to be her superiors on the battlefield. Somehow, it seemed she was going to have to get used to both taking orders and working for kids. Chances were that her and Leer were going to be the underdogs and pick up a lot of the slack, but given how dainty Remil had acted thus far, maybe sheā€™d be able to push the boundaries of protocol and get away with some insubordination. If notā€¦ Well, sheā€™d have to savour the rare opportunity to introduce her fist to her superiorā€™s face without a reprimanding.

"Cyrus is holding stable for now. Wouldn't be here if he wasn't. Not sure if he has what it takes. If any of them do really."

Laymin glanced up at Marlo, eying him ā€“ and his cigarette ā€“ for a moment. Heā€™d be in for a rude awakening once Splietzer got his hands on the decontamination foam, and she grinned in guilty pleasure at the idea of Marloā€™s annoyance. Still, that smoke was irritating, so she moved over to the far wall, deciding if she had nothing polite to say, she wouldnā€™t say anything at all. In her mind, Marlo was a dick. Or was it Corpse these days? Everyone seemed to call him that, herself included. Either way, sheā€™d been inducted around the same time he had, so she recalled him by his real name ā€“ though she couldnā€™t quite remember who coined the moniker. To be honest, she hadnā€™t seen him in some time ā€“ a drastic change from her early days in the military.

He didnā€™t like her. Or at least, it never seemed like he saw her as anything more than an annoyance. Maybe sheā€™d punched him at some point? It was so long ago, she couldnā€™t remember whether sheā€™d gotten into a scrap with him or not. Still, during her initial days of service Marlo had been a godsend for both her, and the people sheā€™d floored. No matter how much of a lazy douche Corpse was, back in those days, heā€™d generally been the one to patch her up ā€“ though he never seemed very happy to do so. His bedside manner left a lot to be desired, what with the way he always chastised her for starting stupid fights and on top of that, taking time out of his day to have to fix her up. He was probably relieved to have gotten all those promotions and left that hassle behind, but the brief moment theyā€™d met each otherā€™s gaze indicated he at least knew who she was.

After all, not all the memories were bad. When it came to a drinking buddy, Marlo was one of the few people who could hold his liquor to the same degree she could, and sheā€™d been nice enough to shout him the occasional drink the first few promotions heā€™d gotten. Not that the asshole ever thanked her or repaid the favour. Then again, she never got promoted, soā€¦ Sitting up again, she decided that she was over thinking things, heading back over to Splietzer, Stone and Revkel. Folding her arms again, she continued to watch the finishing touches of the procedure. Contrary to what Corpse had said, she had a feeling Vage and Aerionelle would be just fineā€¦

=It was like a smog machine was turned on as the elevator door opened up and Corpse made his presence be known. Smoke began to fill the air around the production team while Corpse made his presence be known and reported the status of Cyrus' condition and his take on the remaining two subjects. It didnt take long before Dr. Hugo Splietzer began to hunch over hacking from the smoke saturated air. With itchy watery eyes narrowing Dr. Splietzer reaches for his decontamination canister, only to come to the realization that he was gripping air. He stands up to resume his poise stature as best as possible, shaking hands pushing the glasses back to rest at the tip of his nose.
It would seem I have left a vital piece of equipment downstairs, I shall be back momentarily, *cough* *cough* Dr. Yule, you are in charge until I get back, report any irregularities *cough* *cough* to me right away *cough*.

=His assistant Dr. Yule complies with him=
Yes, doctor

=With a swing of his lab coats tail, ironically unbeknownst to the doctor flicks the spit left by Laymin back at her, falling on her shoe. Dr. Splietzer quickly goes to the nearest sink and removes his latex gloves and scrubs his hands before reapplying two more sets, coughing chronicly as he does so and begins to push the elevator down button not one but several quick times as if his life depended on it. The opening of the door was a sight for sore eyes for him as he quickly entered it and stood with a prim posture, coughing one last time before the elevator door closes.=

=Captain Stones eyes shifted from his two newest soldiers going through this tormenting ordeal to that of yet another of his more seasoned subordinates Chief Marlo "Corpse," Revkel. Naturally like most people who encountered Corpse, the professional relationship between Captain Stone and Chief Revkel was a bit of a bitter one. Many times over Captain Stone would have loved to rip into this man for his defiant behavior, however his hands had become tied from doing so as medical staff with skills at Corpse's caliber has been extremely sparse and General Star has ordered her Deputy Commander to pick his battles with Revkel and to overlook some reprimandable behavior that Captain Stone would normally hang any other person up by their toes for.
Bothered by Dr. Splietzers leave caused by Corpses insistant habit, Captain Stone does not punish the man however does speak idoly in a synical tone to him as he pulls out what looks like a pager and begins punching in a few buttons with his thumb.=
You are certainly setting a good example for your subordinate Soldier Shyvell, over there Chief Master Sergeant.

=Meanwhile the extremely weakened and barely concious Aerionelle and Vage are nearing the end of this painful process. Their armors are practically complete leaving only the tiniest touches left to be completed that would not be able to be seen by the naked eye, mostly around the crystal embedded in the chestplate of their armor that houses it when not in use. Flickers of tiny lightening bolts of electricity dance over the top of them still while they attempt to recoup from the inflicted pain. At this point from the perspective of the observation room anyone looking upon them would not be able to distinguish the two apart, as both their armors look perfectly identical, the only thing to tell whos who was by their posture. Despite the torture she has undergone Aerionelle managed to stand on her feet the entire time while Vage was on his hands and knees looking down at the floor, his newly cybernetic wing system twitching around like the wings of a wounded bird.
Both the two can hear themselves breathing heavy however never before has their ears heard them breathing the way they are now, the sounds of an almost digitally echoing distortion is heard being associated with their panting=

=At this same time Vai hears a device in his pocket going off, a pager assigned to every eniknight along with the crystal that houses their armor. Upon glancing at the pager Vai would read a message from Captain Stone. Report to the eniknight lab's observation room, thats an order. -Capt. Stone

Shit.

That was the only word that Corpse could think of as the doctor spluttered his way out. Normally, he would put his cigarette out before entering the room where Splietzer was already present, for Corpse knew that the smoke irritated the man immensely . As soon as he made it to the elevator, he grabbed his cigarette immediately and put it out the only way he knew - sticking it into his left palm. Since they didn't want anybody leaving cigarette butts around the facility - they didn't really want him smoking in the first place - he learned to dispose of his little white sticks in a quick manner. After putting it out in his palm (it still was painful, regardless of how many times he had done it) he grabbed a metal canister out of his bag and threw the butt into it, then turned back to the rest of them. Captain Stone was also present in the room, something he hadn't realized entirely until he saw his unhappy face. Corpse's blank face changed only slightly, with a brow furrowing a little. He tried his hardest to not piss off his superiors, but some days it was either way too easy, or just not in his agenda. Thank the freaking Lord that he was useful, or that hotheaded Stone would try to beat his ass up.

Not that it would do much to Marlo, but it would be a drag, and a pain in the ass later on.

Shyv had moved away to the far wall moments earlier, and Marlo gave her a small raise of the eyebrow, but nothing more. To be honest, Marlo felt like Shyv disliked him quite a bit, which wasn't that unnatural for most. People just couldn't handle the fact that Corpse did what he wanted to achieve his goal, and didn't really care about much else. Granted, however, Shyv drank like a champ and she had earned the medic's respect for that, and even a little of his envy: Shyv rarely had to care about a lot of the paper work or the formality that came with being a Chief Master Sergeant. Plus, she wasn't forced to become some piece of shit medic just because she was 'destined to'. Suddenly, Stone felt like throwing in his own little slander at Corpse's habit in his own little way

You are certainly setting a good example for your subordinate Soldier Shyvell, over there Chief Master Sergeant. Corpse ruffled his brow a little, giving Stone a highly skeptical look before giving his own retort. "Not really a subordinate. Shyv survived the eniknight, same as me. Shyv just hasn't been promoted." He said blandly, before returning his eyes and noticing that the process was basically complete. He had to nod his head a little, not entirely expecting those two to even survive - the guy didn't look like he had, but Corpse could easily see his vital signs were fine. "Not bad, not bad at all." For a rarity, Corpse cracked a smile at the two, but that was simply because they had thought the pain was over.

(A little ambiance for ya :) ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6MOQnIh_ ... re=related

=Vages eyes open again and is if he has died and been reborn into a new body he begins to see the same world but from a different set of eyes. To the edges of his peripheral vision he sees a bluish white code dancing down his view. He looks at his hands, fingers of which he moves around and finds they are completely covered in wires and plating.
(> I'm.... I'm.. alive?
=he thinks to himself currently unaware that his thought processes are being broadcast both through a communications link between eniknights and out loud within hearing range.=

=Vage would then hear the digitally distorted voice of Lt Remil following his observation=
(> "Heh.... heh.... So.... this is... an Eniknight... is it?"

(> who said that?
=Vage again thinks while his thoughts are projected out loud. As soon as he said that he tried to distinguish the voice and an amazing observation caught him off guard, the neural tap recognized his curiosity as a command and an audio wave with a loading bar going across it appears floating in Vage's view, before a small window pops up showing a portrait of Lt. Remil, with all the main stats of Aerionelle scrolling down underneath her portrait.
=Vage wanted to remove the picture and stats out of his view and pondered how he would remove it from view, It was then that the picture and stats vanished upon his mental request to have it removed, did Vage realize he is controlling these things with his eyes. =
(> Very cool... lets see what else I can try...

=Vage looked up at the observation room and can somewhat make out the figures in the room. He squinted in an attempt to see more clearer when a large window popped up in his field of vision magnifying his view of the occupants in the room 5 or 6 times and then refocusing for a crystal clear view, like that of a digital camera. He sees Chief Master Sergeant Revkel, as if he were directly in front of him. Not knowing who he is he questioned who the man was, and again a portrait of Corpse pops up with documented information scrolling below it. Again Vage closed the window. His glance then goes down to the bottom right of his normal field of view, seeing the word health with an ever changing number, both in red which quickly change to orange. Upon closer observation he sees the number as a percentage that is increasing, and soon turning to green.=
(> Could this be accurate? I am beginning to feel a lot better...

=Vage continues to watch the percentage climb: 83% ..87% ...90%... 92%.. =

{Aerionelle HP 35/35} {Vage HP 35/35}

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
=Meanwhile back in the observation room Captain Stone, along with Corpse, Shyvell, and the scientist stand watching on and socialize though briefly with one another while the smoke enriched air begins to thin out. =
hmph... well perhaps you are on to something there Corpse..
=he says recognizing the medic had a good point referring to Laymin's potential=

=Soon after, the three Legionares hear the elevator ding, and the doors open as Vai makes his entrance. Captain Stone watches as Vai stays quiet by the door. A moment of silence falls over before the scientist are heard in the background confirming the processing being complete and follow it with cheers and applause. With the silence broken, Captain Stone walks over to Vai before greeting him with a question=
Did you bring your enicrystal?
=referring to the crystal that stores each of their eniknights in their photonic state=
=Before he lets Vai answer he turns around and faces the other two enikngihts=
Do you all have your enicrystals on hand for that matter?
