Sticking to the Shadow Lands was what the once future queen of the pride lands did best. She was feared amongst those that lived neared the elephant graveyard. Her heart had been turned cold long ago. She had lost any kindness she'd once held. However, the young lioness had grown from a blossoming cub to a beautiful lioness, she was the kind of dark beauty that would make any male lion wonder who she was or where she'd come from. The cold lioness ruled over the hyena's they were faithful to her, never questioned her. She feed them and took care of them like she would a pride of lions.
The truth remained that without they would more then likely parish. It was clear she was powerful and although she wasn't ruling over a pride of lions, she was still clearly powerful. The lioness sat lazily upon a rock, her head rested on her crossed front paws, her long tail flicking absentmindedly behind her as she rested. She was fully aware of her surroundings even with her eyes closed. There was a soft breeze and she inhaled.
There were times when she missed the pride lands, she'd grown so lonely the hyena's were better soldier then companions. She missed Adisa, more then she was willing to admit to herself. She shook thoughts of him from her mind, she doubted her even remembered her. She felt the energy shift slightly and her body tensed, she lifted her head and her eyes burgundy eyes shifted cautiously. She stood to her feet just as one of her hyena's came into view.
"My queen there is an intruder, I believe it is the prince." the hyena's voice was a low deep tone.
The prince Nylah before letting out a cruel laugh that made the hynea bow to her terrified of what she'd do.
"Please...what would that pampered brat be doing in my territory." she didn't believe it, there was no way Adisa or Aslan would dare step foot in the shadow lands least of all the grave yard.
"Come Jabari, we shall see whom is disturbing our grounds." she spoke as she glided down from the rock two other hyena's joined them, like they'd been called, like Nylah's own personal escort.
"However..." she breathed, her voice practically a growl as she paused to look Jabari in the eyes.
"If this is nothing, I will have your head. That's a promise." she said before gesturing with her head for Jabari to lead her.
The Hyena lead her in the direction and soon enough she saw him. His pale fur was easy to spot, it was Adisa, but why was he this far out and alone? She thought. She crouched down low following behind him for a bit before deciding to attack. Her hyena's were given signal stay behind, unless she was harmed. She counted in her head
one...two...three..., before leaping out and catching the male lion by surprise they tumbled a bit before she managed to pin him down roughly, showing her clear strength.
Aslan had awoken rather late like always. He tended to be rather lazy unless otherwise consulted. The male lion's pride always ran smoothly. When he awoke he starched and got breakfast, before playing with some of the cubs for a bit. He had a rather boring existence to say the least, nothing much happened in the wetlands, although it seemed to him that something knew was always happening near the pride lands. He'd meet Adisa once before, however their meeting was not on the best of terms, they didn't hate each other but they didn't exactly get along either of course Aslan had still been simply a prince then.
As of late, Aslan had been forced to stick around his pride. Hyena's had been running ramped the past few days and he knew it was Nylah. He'd rip her throat out if he had the chance. However, it was near impossible to get close to her, he could swear her hyena's were more loyal to her then his pride was to him. The thought irritated him, he didn't spend much time on the thought however. One of the females had warned him earlier that morning that hyena's had been spotted off a ways. Not that he was all that worried, he just warned the lionesses not to wander alone and not to let the cubs out of their sight.
Aslan decided to take a short walk, he honestly liked being alone sometimes, to forget about his responsibilities. He honestly didn't mind being the king, his biggest fear was simply failing his pride and that was the reason for him acting the way he did most the time, it wasn't that he didn't care. It was that he cared to much. The young king's mind had wondered to his deceased queen and cub and before he knew it he was lost in his thoughts.
he was unaware of how long he'd been walking aimlessly or how far he wandered, but by the time he came back to reality he was nearing a watering hole. He moved to the edge of the watering hole, lowering his head to drink from it when he spotted a young lioness whom he'd never seen before out of the corner of his eye. His head shot up and his eyes fell on her, she was beautiful, but what was she doing alone.
He quietly moved towards her before he spoke.
"It is unsafe for you to be about these parts alone. he said in almost a know it all like voice.
"Besides not to get all territorial and such...but technically, this is all mine." he gestured to the watering hole and then to the land behind him.
"It is unsafe for you to be about these parts alone. his tone was more teasing and light.
