Description

Dani Leiber

Age
17

Gender
Female

Personality
At school, Dani spends her time doing her work and ignoring everyone as much as she possibly can. She sees no point in making friends, so she doesn't. Dani is always on time for school and always gets all of her work done in order to be successful in school and be able to provide for herself once she graduates high school.

At home, she is either doing her homework or out in the forest. She isn't always in wolf form when she's in the forest. Sometimes she likes hiking as a human and enjoying being in her surroundings, seeing them with human eyes. However, she does get very territorial over her territory. Her instincts are stronger in her since she has been a wolf longer and has adopted more of the wolf lifestyle in her. Most of her nights are spent patrolling her territory for other animals, hence the reason she came across the other teenagers. However, her instincts run much stronger at night.

Human Appearance
Dani is very thin and her skin is really pale. Her eyes are blue (as shown in the pic). Her hair falls down to the middle of her belly and is a light blonde. She always wears a little bit of eyeliner and mascara. She usually wears jeans or shorts. For tops, she usually wears a v-neck or tank top with a black or dark blue zip-up sweatshirt over it. Dani always has a purple hair tie on her wrist that no one can see because of her sweatshirt. Her shoes are always the same black Vans.

Bio
Little Dani

Dani was born with a mom and a dad. When she was a baby, her father died. Her mom struggled a bit, but managed to take care of Dani. When Dani was 8, her mom got a job that required business trips. The pay was so great that her mom couldn't turn it down. Dani didn't mind this. She loved her mom and she knew that her mom loved her. So, every time her mom had to go on a business trip, she was left with a nanny. One time, the nanny left Dani at home while she went to go buy some groceries. Dani left the house to go play in the forest. It was right in her backyard. She took the same path that she usually took, but saw another area that made her curious, so she went to explore it. That was where she saw a wolf. Little Dani didn't know what to do. She made the mistake of turning and running. Out of instinct, the wolf chased her and caught hold of her ankle with its teeth. She screamed. The wolf started dragging her back, but suddenly stopped and released her ankle. Dani scrambled to her feet and stared at the wolf. It wasn't doing anything. It just stood there and stared at her as she stared at it. She took a few steps back without turning her back on it and made it far enough that she felt it was safe to turn and run all the way to the house.

That Night

Dani laid in bed that night. She hadn't told the nanny about the wolf for fear of getting in trouble for being outside when she wasn't supposed to. So, the nanny came in the make sure that she was in bed and gave her a smile before heading off to bed herself. Dani wouldn't sleep though. Her entire body started to ache. She tried her best to ignore it, but it just grew worse and worse. Tears formed in her eyes. Her breathing became more labored. Her muscles all tensed up and started changing. Her bones twisted into different forms. She screamed into her pillow as the pain became even more unbearable. The final wave of pain extracted a yelp from her young little throat, and then it was done. Her muscles started to relax and her body was warm and sweaty from the effort of the change. She laid in her bed, lacking the energy to do anything else, and eventually let her drained little body fall into sleep.

The Next Day

The next day, the nanny woke Dani up for school. "Look at you. You're all covered in sweat. Did you have a bad dream?" the nanny asked. Dani nodded and looked up at her nanny with her innocent face. The nanny hugged the small child and put a hand on her shoulder. "I'll go get the bath started for you, okay? And then you go take your bath. I'll have your clothes on your bed for you when you get out." the nanny said sweetly. Dani liked her nanny. She was a nice lady and she always seemed to care about Dani. Dani did as she was told and took her bath then got dressed and ready for school. She went to school and acted like her normal self and her nanny drove her home from school like she always did.

Her nanny went upstairs for a nap telling Dani to wake her up in one hour. Dani nodded and looked at the clock to mark the time. 3:04 p.m. While her nanny was sleeping, Dani snuck out into the forest again. She came to the same spot where she saw the wolf the previous day. It had stared at her the whole time and continued to watch her as she went all the way back to the house, which struck her overflowing curiosity. When she came to that spot, she didn't see anything. It was just trees, fallen leaves, bushes, and undergrowth. She found a good sized rock to sit on and kicked her feet in the leaves. Then she noticed someone was approaching her. It was a guy. He looked to be a young adult. Maybe in his early-mid twenties. Dani stood from her rock and took a step back. "Don't be scared. I'm not going to hurt you." he said in a firm tone. Dani shook her head at the guy an took another step back. She knew better than to trust strangers. "No. Stay away from me." she said, a growl finding its way into her words. Dani was caught off guard by the growl that came form her, but was too scared to keep her focus on it. The guy paused. "Look, I know what happened to you. You were bit by a wolf yesterday. Then you experienced a lot of pain last night. I know why that happened. All you have to do is listen to me. I won't move any closer to you, okay?" he said, trying to find a compromise. Dani narrowed her eyes at the guy. "I'll listen, but you have to stay right where you are. If you move closer, I'm going to get my dad." she lied. Dani's mom taught her that, if there was no man in the house, they were more vulnerable, so she never advertised that there was no man at home. The guy nodded. "I have to ask you a question first. Did you see anything when you felt that pain last night?" the guy asked. Dani shook her head. The guy nodded again. "Okay. That makes things a little bit more difficult. Your muscles and bones hurt. They moved in ways that they shouldn't. Do you know why?" he asked. Dani's eyes widened. How does he know about that? She shook her head in response to his question. "Alright, well, they changed. They made it so you can be something....else. You're not the same anymore. Did you notice anything different at school today? Did you hear things a lot better? Did you smell things that you didn't know what you were smelling?" he asked. Dani was beginning to get a little creeped out. She paused before responding. "Yes." she said quietly. The guy leaned against the tree he was standing next to. "You're different now, and I know what's happening to you." he said. Dani didn't say anything. She didn't know what to say. "If something weir happens and you go outside tonight, you come to this spot, okay?" he asked. Dani shook her head. "I don't know you." she said. The guy rolled his eyes. "Of course. My name is Dalton. I only want to help you, so if something happens, you come to this spot, okay? I promise that I will explain everything to you, okay?" he asked. Dani nodded. Dalton and stoop up from leaning against the tree and walked away. Dani ran back to the house and looked at the clock. She still had fifteen minutes until she was suppose to wake her nanny up.

The First Night of a New Life

Again, Dani didn't tell her nanny about what happened while she was outside. It was the same reason. She didn't want to get in trouble. Plus, why tell when she made it out okay? She said goodnight to her nanny and watched as her nanny left to go to bed. Dani laid in her bed for a while and watched as it grew fully dark. What did that man, Dalton, mean by something bad happening tonight? He seemed so set on it. She stared at the ceiling and drifted off to sleep.

About thirty minutes later, her eyelids flew open. The pain was starting up again. She didn't know what was happening. Two nights in a row. Something had to be wrong. It wasn't natural for people to do this, but Dani couldn't move. She was stuck laying in bed as her bones and muscles made the same horribly painful transformation they had the previous night. She formed a mental picture of herself laying there. Her bones and muscles continued to move, but in a different way they had before. Then, the pain stopped. She took a few deep breaths and flung her blanket of of her body and quietly made her way outside. Maybe that guy did know what he was talking about. He talked about the way the bones and muscles move. He must know something. Dani had to find out what was happening to her. Her muscles threatened to begin again, so she hurried as she carried on toward the spot she said she'd meet him at if something were to happen. When she got there, she didn't see anyone. Her muscles tightened up and then released, causing her to fall to the ground. She breathed heavily as she tried to regain control over her muscles. She could feel her bones starting to move again. Her muscles following along. She gritted her teeth and felt got tears spill down her face. A figure appeared as she struggled on the ground. She felt a hand on her shoulder. "It's okay. Don't fight it. Take deep breaths and let it go as it happens. It'll hurt more and last longer if you try to fight it." a guy's voice said. Dani stopped fighting it and took more deep breaths. Her bones and muscles seemed to finish taking their new forms. What she hadn't noticed throughout this how itchy her skin had become. She heard a tear, but didn't recognize it as her shirt tearing at the seams and her pajama pants tearing as well. Her muscles finally fully relaxed and her bones stopped moving. She laid there for a moment, breathing in the nice cool air. About a minute passed and she tried to stand up, but it felt...weird. Something was off. She smelled something and realized that it was Dalton crouched down next to her. She tried to say his name, but all that came out was an odd grumble of sounds. That wasn't right. Why can't I speak? She started making more yipping and grumbling noises in attempt to speak. "Stop. You're not going to be able to speak. Look, you have paws...and a tail." Dalton said. Dani took a few steps back and stumbled on her hind legs. She sat and looked at her paws and what she could see of herself. Dani felt the presence of a tail and hind legs. She looked at Dalton. The fur on her back rose and a growl rose from her chest. Dalton shook his head. "Maybe you should learn a little more about yourself before you try to use it against me." he said.

A Summary of the Rest

Dalton explained to Dani what she was. He even ended up shifting to show her that he was like her. Then he shifted back and explained to her how she could shift back. She went back home that night and slept with the time she had left, like Dalton told her to do. Her nad Dalton had agreed to keep it a secret and she decided that she trusted him enough and she would go to that spot everyday in her nanny's naptime to learn more. Over time, she learned to hunt and control when she shifted. She would no longer be forced to shift every night. Dalton explained to her how territory worked and that they would share their territory, explaining where their territory lines were. After she turned 9, a werewolf appeared on their territory. Dani went to school and Dalton promised he would take care of the situation with the other wolf. Dani hasn't seen him since then, and now she's 17.

Ally woke up with a jolt. Seeing the time, she cursed herself mentally. How could she sleep in again?! Then it hit her. Last night, the wolf. She looked at her hands. Were they paws last night? She didn't remember. Sighing, she looked in her closet at her dress and shoes she had bought the week before. She had a party to attend. Her aunts.

Her aunts reason for throwing it wasn't for fun, it was to get Ally to make friends, and hopefully get a boyfriend. Of course her aunt would never tell the girl that. Sighing, Ally threw her hair into a messy bun. Quickly grabing a pair of jeans and her top and hoodie she looked into the mirror. Frowning she decided that it would have to do. Doing basic makeup and grabbing her gir bag, she left the house. She knew she was late for school, but oddly she didn't care. Walking into the building she opened the door to her class. The teacher seemed to be either asleep, or not even in the Room, Ally didn't look for her.

She took her seat beside the goth boy and worked on her writing assignment. Her hair starting to fall out of her bun. Her eye caught the corner of a glittering envelope. Pulling it out of her binder she realized, that this was the envelope her aunt had mailed out to almost everyone in her class. She looked up and noticed that one of the girls and the goth guy were passing notes. A smirk formed on her face. "Who is going to the party tonight?"

It was random chit chat, and she knew no one knew it was her aunts party, and no one knew that her aunt was well... her aunt. Ally was sure she was safe. "I'll be performing tonight." Before anyone could comment upon what she said she went and looked back down, drawing random pictures on a spare piece of paper. One doodle was her beautiful les paul guitar, another was her schecter guitar.

She was tapping her foot against the floor as she continued doodling random things that entered her mind. Flipping the page over, she drew a picture she loved. A picture of her and her father when she was a little girl, the santa hat hanging off of her head. As her dad held her in his arms reading her a book. Smiling tears formed in her eyes.

Trying as fast as she could she tried blinking them away.

Ally looked up from her drawing, as a tear slid down her cheek. "Well... I hope to see you there. I was lucky to get this gig." She'd smile after wiping the tear off her cheek. Holding her hand out she expected to shake his. "I'm Allison, but everyone... er... some call me Ally." She'd turn to hear Jaden. She saw the picture she was speaking of. "Very pretty." She'd mutter as she looked at her own drawing.

Something seemd familiar about Nick but she couldn't realy remember what. Shruging she continued to smile as she looked up at the clock. "So, uh.. Jaden... right? Are you going to the party tonight??"

Ally was nervous about playing, but she wasn't too nervous, adreneline always helped her when it came to these sorts of things.
