The current Navy drive for troops doesn't seem to be working as planned. Ah, well. When does anything this bloody sea of ships go as planned? Leonard Rollins scratched his head. The lieutenant said he would have fresh recruits and maybe some already enlisted men to help him fight the pirates, but right now it was seeming he would have to man The Destroyer on his own. Which of course, was impossible. The Destroyer was an assault ship. It couldn't be piloted by three, let alone one person.
He looked at his pocket watch and waited on the docks impatiently. Now was one of those times he wished he didn't sign up to the Navy. He wished he could just travel, or perhaps go searching for treasure. The only treasure he would ever get would be the thanks of his superiors, which, frankly, was worth less than gull guano.
