Without knowing her, Mia looks like your regular drop out of school kid. With her carefree attitude and free spirit it was shocker that she never did. Getting through school seemed like nothing more than a hassle for her and when she managed to graduate with honors it was the biggest mystery and the fact that she then got into UCLA just added to it. Her mother had always asked her to go to a university that wasn't so far away so it would make visiting easier but Mia had always dreamed of living in California. It had everything she wanted; summer year round and all that beach, it was an opportunity that she would never give up.
Her first year there was the funnest time she had ever had. She managed to quickly make several friends that were in her classes, some of which were also in her dorm, that shared the same interests and being that the dorms weren't too far from the beach she could cruise down in the morning to catch the surf thanks to her classes being in the afternoon. Of course when it came to deciding on a major she compulsively fell into environmental science and to her surprise actually liked it.
She's going on to her last year for her environmental science degree with no plans on what she's going to do next. She had never been a planner and always figured that she'd be able to go back home when everything was said and done but with the death of her mother things were different. Her father was never much of a dad except for when it came to her brothers. She accepted that he wanted to spend more time with them at an early age and was able to shrug it off fairly well spending her time either by herself or with her sisters trying to see what nonsense she could stir up in as little of time as possible. She'd regularly go down to the beach and get as many waves as she could.
Most Proud Moment
Officially, it's getting accepted into UCLA and living in Cali for the last couple years. She'd always wanted to live in California and when she seen the opportunity to do so she leaped at the chance. Unofficially, it's that she got second in the national surfing competition. It wasn't first but it was damn near it and although she didn't get first she definitely got her name out there.
Most Traumatic Moment
There's not much in her life that has had much of an effect on her until her mothers death. It wasn't so much as the fact that shes dead as much as it is that she passed on the chance to see her one last time because of a petty argument they had gotten into. Even after the funeral she had to almost immediately back her bags and head back to California to get ready for the start of school.
