This is my prison, my holding cell, my Fate...I cannot accept what I am to be...
Likes: Her family, mostly her two brothers, horse riding, fine dresses.
Dislikes: Needlework, the idea of marriage and that she isn't allowed to learn to fight.
Fears: Being married to someone of whom she dislikes, losing her family or having to leave them.
Skills/Talents: One of the finest riders in her family, but she is also intelligent as well, although not in the way her mother is. Adelaide is not manipulative, but instead wants to use her skill to help sort of the problem of the economy and politics, but of course her father would never allow that. It was forbidden for a woman to reign when her brothers were still alive. So Adelaide threw herself into her studies, in the hope that one day perhaps her brother's would listen to her ideas and plans. She is also very skilled with a bow, even if her parents are unaware of this fact, although her brother Lionel is fully aware of it.
Weaknesses: Her arrogance sometimes causes her problems, for she cannot and will not drop her guard with anyone. She is lonely because of this. Adelaide is also protective of her two brothers and will defend them no matter what, which is also a weakness of her, for it causes her to be foolish.
General Personality: Adelaide is very arrogant on the outside, with a tough personality who doesn't allow anyone, but family, to see what she is truly like. Behind it all she really does have a softer personality, but it is rarely shown. An image has to be projected to those outside of the family and she maintains it without ever faltering. It saddens her to know that she will be forced to marry before long. She is also aware that her two brothers will always mean more to her father than she ever will and therefore she feels separated from the rest of the family by jealousy. It adds a bitterness to her outer personality, which she readily shows anyone who will listen to her.
Being born into the Damian family was a hardship, especially for Adelaide who was constantly reminded that she was effectively worthless when it came to the throne and the opposing Houses. Since a very young age, she was reminded by her mother and her carers that the best she could do would be to marry a nice young gentleman and make her father proud. However, she wasn't at all happy about this. Instead Adelaide found a talent for the academic side of running the country and whilst her brother grew bored of it all, she shone and proved that she could be of some use. But it was her father that dampened her spirits in reminding her that she could not put this to use. She would never be Queen. Bitterly Adelaide agreed, but now sought to work harder and oppose her father where she could and somehow persuaded one of her brother's trainers to teach her to use a bow. It is now her only hope that when her brother is crowned King, he will listen to her so that she can assist in helping the current situation that they are in.
