Full Name: Eliot Day Dawson
Nicknames: Eli
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Occupation: Pastor
Description: Eliot's face is very bright and bubbly. Though he might sometimes come off as self-righteous and/or condescending, he mostly is friendly and optimistic. His smile is very prominent on his face and his eyes always look happy, even when his mouth is taking a rest from smiling. His hair is very neat and so are his clothes. He mostly wears suits and button-up shirts and always has his glasses on (even though he doesn't necessarily need them to see). He is tall and, from his days in New York, is a little more muscular than average. He isn't imposing or extremely muscular, and what muscle he does have he hides beneath suit jackets and nice shirts.
Personality: Eliot is a pretty pompous preacher. He talks haughtily and is very confident in himself. He believes God is always the right way to go and believes that with a faith in God anything can be achieved. When giving sermons, his body language is very energetic. He is very enthusiastic about talking about God, so he does so with a smile on his face. He is friendly towards people and always will give them the benefit of the doubt. He is very optimistic about being able to do good work, God's work, in Repentance.
Though it took some persuading, Eliot's father eventually took him back in. David wasn't aware of his son's involvement in drug ring but knew his son had strayed from the Christian path. David took it upon himself to turn Eliot back into the man he was before New York and consequently into the man Eliot is today. Eliot began preaching at his local church and after many sermons that the townspeople claimed to have changed their lives, he decided he'd embark on another project.
Despite his father's wishes, Eliot decided he'd leave Kentucky once again and change the lives of those who lived in a town he heard of called Repentance.
Skills: Eliot is very good at persuading people. Though he doesn't try to do so maliciously, he can easily make people see things his way. Also, Eliot is very intelligent. He is well-versed in the Bible's teachings as well as a wide array of other literature ranging from Christian novels to gothic romantic ones. This gives him a bit of an idea on the supernatural, though his belief in God is much more relevant to him than his belief in the occult.
Weaknesses: Eliot is way too easy to trust others. Because he always sees the good in people, he'll always assume the best of them before realizing their worst. He seems to ignore the fact that the human race is flawed and believes that no matter what happens or what they do, God will always be on their side. Another flaw Eliot has, is that he always seems to be in denial. He tries to forget his sinful past and ignore bad things that go on around him. This causes him to see a very skewed version of reality and makes him very susceptible to getting himself in danger.
Other: Eliot seems to only keep on the "Christian path" when under the guidance of his father. He seems to be easily changed by his environment especially in those that lack structure.
