She smiles at the thought of boys. It was great to meet you, I'll she you all at the party She hears Blair say. She waves and decides it probubly time for her to do the same. "I guess i'll see you there Alex." She waves good-bye as she walks towards her cabin.

She heads to the bathroom to take a quick shower just to get all the salt water out of her hair. She uses a lot more conditioner than she should just to get those stupid tangles out. After about five mintues she heads to her room and sees the outfit her mom left out for her. She rolls her eyes and scoots it over as she looks for an out fit to wear. She picks out an outfit and lets her hair air dry as she puts it in a ponytail to keep it from getting her back so wet. She grabs her bag, earbuds, and iphone and heads into the kitchen looking for her parents. "Mom?Dad?" She saids as she sees a note on the counter.

Angelica, Went to the party early. Put on the outfit we left for you.
Don't be too late and disrespectful. The BarBQ is out the hose with the big fire.
Mom and Dad

She rolls her eyes at the note as she heads to Dillan's cabin seing her parents she exhales and heads to them not seeing anyone else she notice.

"Yeah, I think I'll also go change. Hey Alex I'm gonna head home and have a quick shower, I'll catch you later. It was great to meet you, I'll see you all at the party" Blair had said to them and then headed back to the house. Alex remembered showering that morning, which being the reason she had taken so long, and figured washing her face would be enough. She waved bye to Jellie who was also leaving, and then walked toward the back of her house facing the beach. She went through the doors and saw two notes layed across the table.

Blair and Alex,
Headed to the party, don’t be too long,
Love Mom x

The note sat with another that was signed from Blair saying she had already left. Alex quickly ran up the stairs and washed her face, knowing her parents wouldn’t be too happy about her tardiness. After washing her face she ran her fingers through her already straightened hair, and pulled out a few things to wear, and slid on her comfy lifeguarding hoodie to protect her from the cool breeze. She wasn’t sure what she was supposed to wear, or how casual she should dress, but if it were a little less casual she could just take her sweater off.

Alex ran back down that stairs and out the doors carrying her flip flops in hand. She ran down to the house with the fire going and saw all the people she had seen on the beach a little earlier: Jellie with her parents, Blair talking to the man who invited us, her parents visiting with what seemed to be the other parents, and the two guys she noticed earlier sitting around the fire. She slipped on her shoes and waved at Jellie and Blair, avoiding her parents glares for being late. She then walked towards the fire and sat down figuring she might as well meet the other two and possibly figure out where she knew them from. “Hey.” She stuck her hands into the pocket of her hoodie.

"Oh it's no trouble at all darlin! That's my husband Alex as you've already met. And I'm Dorothy, we're Dillan's parents. That tall fellow over there in the hat." His mother stepped out of the cabin, dragging a large cooler with her. His father smiled, and looked to his wife as she brought out the beverages for everybody to enjoy. "Ain't nothin wrong with bringin together a little group to have some fun.... Now, I don't know if you're old enough. Or if your parents will allow it, but this here is the 'adult' beverages cooler for everybody. Go ahead and help yourself to it, once I bring it over to the fire... Looks like more of yer friends are here. Go have fun sug!" The woman was friendly, motherly and had a fun attitude to her. Not to mention spunky! Dillan's father smiled, dressing the grill with all the food completely covering it with delicious meats and vegetables wrapped in foil.

Dillan welcomed all the parents that showed up, giving them a seat and being the polite son of the hosts. He didn't seem to recognize any of them really, he could tell a few trying to place a name to his face. "My name is Dillan, my parents are up in the cabin prepping the food. They should be down shortly, just make yourselves at home." He nodded as he buttoned up his flannel shirt, trying to be more decent and not 'show off' his body with the wind blowing the shirt back. The attire was extremely casual beach where. He was just some slightly baggy swim trunks, flip flops, a half buttoned up flannel and a straw cowboy hat. Dillan looked up to see Jellie approach the group, just mentally acknowledging someone around his age. His mother walked over, and brought the drinks to everyone's delight who then went back to bring the non-alcoholic drinks. Everyone was free to help themselves, so he stepped back and was greeted by Alex. "Hey.

He looked to the girl straight in the face, and nodded. "Hey, how's it goin. I'm Dillan.." His accent rolled out, making him stick out compared to everyone else who wasn't from 'his part of the country'. He allowed for Lucas to introduce himself as well. He looked to the stereo seeing as it was still playing country, and sighed walking over changing the tunes to just a complete mix of everything. Except like, electronic, metal, and hardcore rap or hip-hop. He felt that kind of music, wasn't very good to play when first meeting someone. Especially a large group of people whom you've never met before.... Or thought you've never met before.

Blair smiled warmly at Dillian's parents, they made her feel so warm and welcome with their genuine southern hospitality "well it is very kind of you, I'm Blair by the way" she told them "I'll go and introduce myself to your son, he's talking to my sister anyway" she laughed lightly, saying bye to his parents before walking over to the group. Blair smiled at her sister, giving her that knowing look, of when they met someone handsome, two handsome people in this case.

She greeted Jellie with a warm smile also before turning to Dillan "Hey I'm Blair" she introduced herself, holding out her hand "I was just over there speaking to your parents" she smiled "They are lovely people." Seeing the cooler that Dillan's mom was talking about she grabbed herself a nice cool beer, knowing her parents wouldn't mind, looking around she smiled "This is great, I've not been here in so long, so I hardly remember anyone" she laughed lightly.

"I hear that.... My pop's got the grill going so it's just a matter of time until all the foods done." the guy had a southern act like the man who had spoken to him earlier Lucas wondered where Dillan's family originated from because they all had the southern accent, Dillan's being noticeably not as thick as his father's. "It's good to have lazy days, the trick is to not make the next day lazy. That's how it starts, next thing ya know it's been a month since you did anythin really." he followed Dillan's gaze to the ocean and noticed the girls were still out there. "So I'm assuming my pop's invited them all too right? I'm sure everyone in the cabins can see the fire by now." Dillan looked back to Lucas with a small gentle smile and sat down in a chair with a sigh. Lucas shrugged "Well if you dad invited me and my family I don't see why he wouldn't have invited their families too." thinking back to what Dillan had said earlier he chuckled to himself and looked over at Dillan "You know you sound a lot like my dad. According to him if I relax to much I'll get so lazy that I won't do anything for the whole summer. That is why starting tomorrow am right back on the clock" he said turning his head as he saw his parents approaching "Speak of the devil" he said as his parents stopped in front of him. His mother looked kinda pissed and the second she opened her mouth he knew why "What happened to you coming home. Look at you, I see you were to busy sitting her talking to come home and change your clothes" Lucas sighed rolling his eyes "Dillan I'll be right back" he said standing up "Mom if it will satisfy you I will go home and changed okay" he said with sarcastically moving through his parents and walking to the house.

Once upstairs in his room he throw off his clothes and hopped in the shower he knew he wasn't dirty but he wasn't giving his mother anything to fuss about so he took a quick ten minute shower. When he was done he looked for a new changed of clothes to put on seeing as the barbecue was on the beach he decided to dress to dress in something more simple than what he had originally planned. It took him a couple of minutes but in time he found something to throw on, getting dressed in the outfit he threw the clothes he had worn earlier in the hamper and left the room.

Returning to the beach moments later he noticed the adults starting to show up, as soon as he got to the beach he saw his mother checking out his outfit from a distance she gave her nod of approval and Lucas nodded back with a soft smile happy that he had succeed. He walked back to were he was sitting earlier with Dillan "And Lucas is back" he said reclaiming his seat. A couple of minutes after his return two girls walked over to were the two guys were sitting by the fire and sat down “Hey” one of them said. As Dillan introduce himself Lucas looked over both girls noticing them from earlier their faces still felt familiar to him. Once Dillan had went through his introduction Lucas decide to introduce himself as Dillan got up to change up the music. "Nice to meet you guys am Lucas" he said with a friendly smile. The last girl of the group joined them after Lucas had finished his introduction and she introduced herself "Hey I'm Blair" Lucas nodded and smiled "Lucas" he said simply with a smile.

“Hey, how’s it goin. I’m Dillan..” Dillan replied with an obvious accent, though didn’t sound as thick as his parents. As he left towards the stereo, the other boy there introduced himself as Lucas. “Nice to meet you too.” Alex smiled, and then giggled quietly as Blair walked up introducing herself to the others with the “look” spread across her face.

“Yeah, it’s been a while since we’ve been here. I forgot how beautiful it is. What about you guys, how often do you usually come here?” She looked around at the others.

Dillan returned as Alex asked the question about how many times he's been to this place. He quirked a brow hearing her giggle, and looked to Blair having a feeling that the two were related. "Well, me and my family use to come here every year for a long time now.... But since I graduated, and joined the Corps. We haven't been back since. That was about..... A little less than 3 years ago." It never clicked in his head that these kids were quite possibly the gang he use to run around with when he was younger. His mother brought the other cooler to the fire, which held sodas, juices and drinks. He looked back to his father, who waved meaning that the food an all was almost ready. That was a relief, because he was really starting to get hungry now.

"Sug, button up..." His mother quietly mentioned, which took Dillan by surprise but he followed her orders and became more decent now adjusting more than simply three buttons to keep his shirt closed around his torso. He quirked his lips, into a smirk as his mother stepped away giggling softly moving to formally meet the other parents around the fire and began to hand drinks out and talk. It had turned out to be a lovely evening.

She looks at the fire hearing her parents babbling on. She just looks around and keeps a saying "yes, sir and i'll try and do better." She notices Alex and Blair talking to a few guys now actually paying attention hoping to stall her from meeting the guys.

After getting a very long, very boring leture about being respectful she decides to go meet the guys Blair and Alex are talking to. She walks up messing with her nails, always being nervous around guys. She smiles and decides to speak. "Hey guys. Oh hi, i'm Jellie and you two are?" she asks as she looks at the two guys hoping that it not as awkward for them as it was for her. I mean you don't see a girl with pink hair and say "hi" to you everyday of your life.

I swear I have seen both of them somewhere before! She thinks as she waits for the guys to speak.

Lucas, That name, his face he looked so familiar to Blair and now that she mentioned it so did Jellie and Dillan she smiled at Lucas "it's nice to meet you" she replied outstretching her hand for him to shake "Well, me and my family use to come here every year for a long time now.... But since I graduated, and joined the Corps. We haven't been back since. That was about..... A little less than 3 years ago." Blair looked towards Dillan "you were in the Marines?" she asked with a small smile, why did her weakness have to be military men she sighed.

Looking around the party she saw her parents wave over, giving them a small wave back she sipped her beer and walked to the edge of the decking looking out to the ocean, she loved the ocean, she really did and couldn't to go surfing tomorrow.

Dillan smiled, and shook Blair's hand politely being sure not to squeeze her hand. "Hey guys. Oh hi, i'm Jellie and you two are?" "I'm Dillan, a pleasure to meet you Jellie..." nodded smiling to the girl who introduced herself, finding her name a little silly. Her pink hair was a bit stunning at first, but his eyes adjusted to it getting use to what the girl looked like. "you were in the Marines?" "I still am actually.." He spoke to Blair with a bit of pride in his voice. He loved what he did, felt that he actually accomplished something in his life. But decided to leave out the part of him being back from Afghanistan because he got hurt. This wasn't the time to make everybody cry, with his traumatic war stories. He just smiled, and looked around as everyone got acquainted with one another.

"Alright ya'll, the food's ready! Come'n get it!" His father exclaimed with a wide grin, placing the food in heat retaining containers for everybody to serve up from. There was a table with paper plates, plastic utensils, dressings, salad, condiments. Everything you'd expect to have at a barbecue. Now, it was time to have some fun!

“Nice to meet you too.” Alex smiled, “Yeah, it’s been a while since we’ve been here. I forgot how beautiful it is. What about you guys, how often do you usually come here?” she looked around at the others and Lucas sat back thinking it over it seemed so long since he had last been to the island. Dillan answered Alex's question first responding by saying "Well, me and my family use to come here every year for a long time now.... But since I graduated, and joined the Corps. We haven't been back since. That was about..... A little less than 3 years ago." "Wow. You were in the military. Awesome" Lucas said slightly surprised "I still am actually.." Lucas just nodded he had never known anyone in the military. After a moment it then clicked for Lucas that it had been like three years since his last visit to the cabin. His looked up as Dillan's mother brought a cooler over to the fire, which held sodas, juices and other beverages.

When she had walked away Lucas turned his attention back to the group. He was about to answer Alex's question when the last girl from the earlier joined the party. As she walks up to the group she seemed nervous but she is smiling and as she got closer all he got could notice was her bright pink hair, "Hey guys. Oh hi, i'm Jellie and you two are?" she asks looking at him and Dillan. After Dillan shaking her hand and introducing himself Lucas introduced himself "Am Lucas, nice to meet you Jellie". He pauses grabbing a soda out of the cooler he opens the can and drinks. After quenching his thirst he looked around the group "Now that I think about it the last time I was here I was fifteen which happens to be three years old. Weird" he said. "Alright ya'll, the food's ready! Come'n get it!" with the announcement of ready food Lucas got up drinking more of his soda "Time to eat" he said happily he couldn't wait to see how these southerns could throw down.

“Wow. That’s so cool!” Alex said after Blair, and then looked at her knowing her all too well what she was thinking. She took note that none of them had been here for around three years. What a weird coincidence, she thought.

"Alright ya'll, the food's ready! Come'n get it!" She heard Dillans father yell out to them, feeling relieved as her stomach began to growl. Alex walked up to the table and grabbed a plate and her utensils. As her parents came up behind her she looked up at them as they rolled their eyes at all the food she took. A little bit of everything, or at least most things. It had been breakfast since she last ate or drank anything, so food was all she could think about. Alex smiled at her parents and rushed towards the cooler to grab a drink. She grabbed a bottle of water to first eliminate her thirst, so she could enjoy whatever she had later on.

After grabbing a napkin she had forgotten at the table, she went and sat down, carefully separating all of the food on her plate from each other.

“This is delicious.” She smiled at Dillan’s father, and then looked towards the others.

"Why thank you darlin..." His father smiled to Alexandra nodding, and let everyone serve themselves first. They had brisket, chicken wings, hot dogs, shrimp on skewers, and tilapia. He had brought his own special seasoning for all the different types of meats. "If any of ya'll want your meat cooked more, just let me know. And we got extra food if you like it more rare." He nodded, and once everyone was served he got his plate.

Dillan waited as well, being a good host finally getting his food. He served up a good portion of food for himself and sat down with a smile grabbing a bottle of water. "Yeah, this looks great pop!" He unwrapped his foil wrapped corn and took a bite smiling softly. He looked to see if everyone was enjoying themselves. He ate some brisket, and got a scoop of salad. He was hungry, but far from famished.

"Alright ya'll, the food's ready! Come'n get it!"

Hearing those words Blair turned quickly on her heels, she couldn't actually remember the last time she had eaten that day and so her stomach growled loudly at the sight of all the meat, she was in absolute heaven. "Oh wow, your dad really know's how to barbecue!" Blair stated to Dillan with a small laugh. Grabbing a plate a knife and fork she began piling food onto her plate, chicken wings, brisket, hot dogs and shrimp. Using the utensils to put a little bit of salad onto her plate, not too much, she really wasn't a salad type girl, she ate what she wanted just burned it off the next day at the gym or with a run, it was the best way, she thought.

Sitting down at the table next to Alex she tucked into her food, feeling it literally melt into her "damn that's good" she said with a slight groan "Thank Dillian's dad could give ours a lesson on how to BBQ?" she laughed lightly to Alex.

The tide had come in by the time Xavier’s beat-up Monza convertible had rolled up to his new house. His father’s Escalade was already parked in the garage, of course. No doubt his dad was irritated with him for being so late, especially when Xav had promised he’d be home before his father was. The younger boy had taken a detour, whether his father liked it or not. No doubt daddy wouldn’t be too happy with the first thing Xav had done with his return back “home.”
Nevertheless, it wasn’t Xav’s job to care what his father thought. It’s not like he had in the past few years, not with mom gone. He hadn’t even said good-bye. The blue-eyed boy sighed and rested his forehead against the steering wheel of the convertible. A gentle breeze made his short hair tickle the back of his neck. His lids fell until his eyes were slit like a cat’s, before he finally relaxed his muscles and closed them. His hands, knuckles white from gripping the steering wheel so hard, fell into his lap.

White poinsettias, a bundle of them, had been in those hands not too long ago. In his mind, Xavier saw his mother’s name carved into stone. He watched his hands lay down the flowers on the grave. One of the petals bent underneath the weight of a single tear that had fallen from Xav’s cheek. A few murmured apologies to his mother for the inevitable and Xavier had left. Lilly wouldn’t have wanted the boy to visit her grave; she’d made that clear before her death: Now I don’ wanna see you mopin’ ‘round my grave like some lonely school boy, ya hear? When I’m gone, I wan you ta leave me alone, Xavvy. I’ve had enough o’ you already. I don’t needa be bothered by ya when I’m dead too.

The thought of Lilly and her last few words made Xavier chuckle to himself. He picked his head up off the steering wheel and undid his seatbelt. He didn’t bother opening the door, only slid out of the convertible. His dad’s face appeared in the window and he saw a scowl at Xavier’s arrogant display, to which Xavier only grinned.

“I think the neighbors are having a barbecue.” Xavier’s nose twitched, but he didn’t reply to his father’s statement. He hefted the backpack strap higher up on his shoulder from where it kept slipping and raised one brow. Xav’s father’s scowl deepened. Xavier hid his smirk with a cough. “I think you should go introduce yourself.”

“Well, since when do I care what you think, Roy,” Xavier said and shouldered his way past his father.

“If you’re going to be an ass, get out of the house.”

“Already planning on it,” Xavier shot back and grinned back over his shoulder. “But if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to set my stuff down in my room first. Adios.” With that, Xavier walked down the rest of the hall and tried not to look like a lost idiot. Luckily the stairs weren’t too hard to find. He turned and jogged up the flight, leaving his back to the kitchen, and namely to his father, who had gone to make some coffee. “Probably going to spike it with some whiskey,” Xav muttered to himself.

There were two rooms upstairs. One didn’t have a door and Xavier poked his head in to see their living room couch set up in front of a flat screen TV. Alright. The boy continued on until he reached another door. This one he opened and was met with a fairly nice sized bedroom. The best part was definitely the back wall, or rather, the back of the room that was almost entirely made up of windows. The frames were visible against the edge of the wall and Xavier smiled to himself as he tossed his bag on his bed.

Instead of speaking to the silence, Xavier made his way over to the glass. He placed a hand on the window and was surprised to find that it was unlatched. The glass window opened up and Xav knelt down and propped his elbows up on the frame. He let his chin fall into his palms and looked out at the water.

His attention was soon drawn over to his left, where his neighbors were indeed barbecuing. His intense blue eyes landed immediately on the three girls that were there. “Maybe going to that barbecue wouldn’t be so bad after all,” he said as he eyed one of the blondes. “Damn, I hope they’re my neighbors.” Deciding he didn’t want to be caught staring, he continued to look out at the water.

Roy walked out onto the back porch and Xavier’s smile fell away to a bored frown. His father tilted his head back and looked up at his son before grinning widely at the neighbors. The man raised his arm up and waved at them. “Hey neighbors. We just moved in. I’m Roy and that’s my son, Xavier. Nice to meet you,” he said cheerily. Xavier swallowed back the bitterness that had accumulated on his tongue. His father was a nice guy, he really was; he just wasn’t good with family. Not that Xav gave him a chance, anyway.

So Xavier ran his fingers through his raven black hair and gave the partygoers a half-smile, and one flick of his wrist as a wave.

Dillan's father smiled proudly seeing that everyone was enjoying the barbecue. "Thank ya kindly.... Been cookin it the same since me pappy started when he was younger." The true secret was in a spice that his family used, and just some knowledge on how to cook different meats properly. Everyone was digging in, enjoying the food. He looked to his son Dillan to check on the boy, and see how he was fairing. Dillan was generally alright, but every now and then he had his fits caused by the PTSD. His mother was just as concerned watching their still baby boy eat his food peacefully looking around at his newly made friends.

Dillan looked around seeing what looked like the two sisters (Blair and Alexandra) eating side by side, with Jellie sitting close by. He stood up. "Anybody want a drink?" He slowly made his way to get a bottle of water, when he looked up seeing a man waving at them. “Hey neighbors. We just moved in. I’m Roy and that’s my son, Xavier. Nice to meet you."

"It's good to meet you too sir.... You're welcome to over and eat if you like." Dillan rose his hand saying hello, looking up at the both of them being his polite self. He was a disciplined individual, just how the Corps trained him to be. <Their cabin looks more like a house.... Do they live here?> He honestly wouldn't be surprised, him and his folks use to just come here every summer. But this island did hold 6,000 people, and beach front property was always popular. "Oh yeah, feel free! There's still plenty of food and drinks left.." Dillan's father chimed in generously.

Jellie finishes her food and throws her trash away. She walks back to the table and sits down for a minute. "Guys,i'll see you later. I'm just going to relax at home." She saids walking away and waving good-bye. She sees her parents talking to some adults so she see it as the perfect chance. "Is it my lucky day or what?" She asks herself with a smirk on her small face. She starts to walk away back to her cabin.

She starts to feel blisters on her feet from wear the sandles too long. "Ow ow ow, ok i'm taking these off." She commetns as she squats on the sand undoing the straps on her sandels. She takes them off and holds them by the straps in her right hand. She starts to walks to her house. She walks in the front door and goes to her room. Getting attacked by her dog. "Ah,Pete! Get off." She complains shooing him away. "Wait a minute. You want to go on a walk, don't you fella?" she asks as she puts her bulldog in her arms. They walk to the kitchen to get the red and white leash. She puts him down and puts the leash on his collar.

They walk out the front door going down the beach. She notices a man on his back porch. She looks up and sees a second story. "Wow,now that's a cabin." She saids to herself as she feels Pete's leash get out of her grip. "No! Pete, come back here!" She yells running to catch him. She groans. "Come on,cut me a break,Pete!" She tells her dog knowing he can't understand her. She stops for a second to gain her breath before continuing to run in a big circle to catch her dog. She can feel the sand going in her bare feet forgetting her sandels inside their cabin.

She almosts gets her just as he tricks her and runs into the water. "No! Pete." She yells as she runs in the water forgetting that she was wear her favorite dress. She grabs Pete, who was wimpering and trying to stay above the water. She pulls her heavy dog to shore and holds him in her arms. "Don't ever do that again." “Think Dillan’s dad could give ours a lesson on how to BBQ?” Blair had said. Alex laughed and looked over at her dad. “That would be a great idea. I don’t think I can take another burnt piece of meat.” She laughed again, grinning widely.

"Guys,i'll see you later. I'm just going to relax at home." Jellie got up from the table. “See you later!” Alex smiled again as Jellie excused herself, and then walked down the beach.

“Anybody want a drink?” She heard Dillan ask as he got up after her to grab a bottle of water. “I’m good thanks.” She replied, then taking a long pull of her water. She puts the lid back onto the bottle just as two people, a man and a boy about her age, walk up to the house.

“Hey neighbours. We just moved in. I’m Roy and that’s my son, Xavier. Nice to meet you.” Alex smiled and waved at the two as her parents went over to the newcomers after placing their garbage in the trash.

“I’m Alex.” She said before their parents began socializing.

Knowing that his father probably would have punished Xav if the younger boy had decided to skip the barbecue even after the invite, Xavier had changed into a different pair of shorts and threw on a new shirt. He didn't bother combing his hair; there was nothing a brush could do about the way his raven locks decided to be in total disarray all the time. He joined his father down on the stairs of the cabin/house. Before they'd moved here, Xavier's father had opted to do some construction on what used to be a small beach cabin. They'd transformed it into a two-story house, though it still had the same rather small square footage of the shape of the cabin from before. Not that Xavier minded; he preferred smaller houses anyway. It was better than the one Xav had been forced to live in with his father last year. Loneliness was a lot more evident when you had more room.

Pushing away the past, Xavier shrugged off his father's hand that had rested on his shoulder. Roy only sighed and pointed out toward the back door. When Xavier turned, his father followed right behind him and the pair went off to greet the new neighbors. Though Xavier's lips did pick up immediately and his back straightened out from where he'd slouched when he saw the blonde he'd spotted from earlier walk up to them, along with her parents. Damn, she was even more beautiful up close. Thoughts found only in an older teenage boy's mind ran through his head and he resisted the urge to really check her out. He didn't want to offend her parents.

"Hey, Alex. As Ro--my father introduced me before, I'm Xavier Skye." Now if her parents hadn't been there, he probably would have tagged a comment along with that which would have concerned how sexy he found her, or if he'd really felt in the mood, would have made a move on her. Though at the thought of such things, Xavier felt a pang of regret and a feeling of guilt wash through him. It surprised him. A girl had never gotten that kind of reaction out of him before. He blinked and held out a hand.

Lucas grabbed a plate of every kind of meat Dillan's dad had cooked along with the shrimp skewers and tilapia he wasn't much of a seafood person but he decided to give it a shot. He decided against the salad although he did eat his veggies he wasn't big on them so if he didn't have to eat them he wasn't going to. Walking back to where the rest of the group was sitting he politely thanked Dillan's dad for the meal he wouldn't wait to sit down and start chowing down. He walked by his parents he saw his dad rocking his famous screw face Lucas shrugged "What am on vacation" he said walking pass his parents and over to the other teens. Taking a seat on the other side of Alex Lucas looked around at everyone else eating it looked like they were all enjoying the food which was a good sign, he bit into the chicken wing taking a bite out of the wing and he had to admit it was good "Hmm, this is some good chicken" he said taking another bite.

Lucas devoured his plate of food he was starving earlier but now he could eat no more. He put a hand on his full stomach and sighed happily "That was great" he said looking at his parents, his mom was talking with Alex and Blair's parents and his dad was consternating with Jellie's. "Anybody want a drink?" Lucas looked at Dillan who was getting up to go get drink he shook his head "Nah, I am good" he said patting his full stomach. As Dillan walked away a man and his son approached the barbeque Lucas didn't hear what was said but he could tell the son was around his age. He looked at Alex as she got up and went to introduce herself to the new faces Lucas looked the kid over from a distance he had never met the guy a day in his life and he really didn't feel like doing the whole introduction thing again. Jellie finishes her food and throws her trash away. Coming back she sits down for a minute then says "Guys,i'll see you later. I'm just going to relax at home." She saids walking away and waving good-bye "Catch you later Jellie" Lucas shout to her as she walked away then he grabbed his garbage and went to throw it out.

Dillan nodded as everyone politely rejected his offer. He grabbed his bottle of water, and cracked it open taking a swig seeing Alex walk over to the two new comers joining their barbecue. He looked at them curiously, not recognizing him or his father like he did with everybody else. He moved to sit back at the table with the other teens. Jellie took off too, and he nodded saying goodbye to her as well. Though it was a bit of a shame to see some of the people already leaving, he was glad to meet them and wondered how the rest of his stay here would go.

Dillan looked around, seeing his parents talk to Jellie's the both of them glancing at him. He sighed knowing that they were doing what parents did and talked about their kids. His folks by now, had come to realize that these were the same people they met every year and were quite excited. They were telling everything, what they had been up to, what he had been up to and just stories. But he knew sooner or later, the reason why they were here was going to pop up. He wasn't looking forward to having to explain himself and open up that can of worms for everybody.

After sitting in the sand for what feels like forever. Jellie gets up. "Ok,Pete. You need to get fresh air and I need some more food so,come on boy. Let's go change." She saids grabbing the leash three times as tight as before. She opens the door and lets the leash go only moments before 'couragous' dog runs on to her bed. She rolls her eyes changes in another outfit not wanting to wear the ocean dress anymore. She tosses it in a hamper on the side of her room. She doesn't bother washing her hair but combs it out to get rid of any tangles. After about ten minutes she walks out her room in a pair of shorts,a old top,and a pair of sandals that don't kill her.

"Ok,Pete.Let's roll." She saids before wistling him to the front door. She grabs his leash and they start to walk back to Dillian's party. She walks up and sees her parents talking to Dillan's parents. They wave her over. She rolls her eyes and walks beside her controling parents. "This is our daughter,Angelica. These are Dillan's parents,we saw you,him and a couple other teenagers talking." Jellie mother saids. GAH,I hate my name!!!!! She thinks to herself as she smiles and shakes their hands. "Nice to meet you. Mom,Pete wanted to go for a walk so i'm just going to walk around the party, nowhere to far." Jellie insures her mother trying not to lose grip on the leash. "Go head,Sweetie." Her mom and dad say at the same time. She smiles and walks away. She rolls her eyes and undoes Pete's leash. "Go nuts, buddy. You're free!" She saids as she sees her dog chase after some birds. She chuckles as she stands and watches him trying to kill the bird knowing he couldn't catch them,he was to "soft". So she just watched him have a good time. "Man,I wish I was a dog." She saids to herself with her arms crossed around her chest and a smile on her face.

"It's a good party" "Oh thanks... My dad likes to host group get togethers." He smiled looking to his father who was meeting Jellie and her folks finding her a fun young lady, knowing she was probably on the rebellious side. She seemed to be a handful, but thought her parents were doing just fine."So are you gonna tell me where I know you from?"[/b] "Hmm?" He looked over to Blair as the girl approached him. "I mean it's been messing with my mind all night" his eyes held confusion but he smiled none the less. "I'm, sorry.... But I don't remember us meeting at all." He felt bad, the expression on his face holding wary guilt. Over the past three or so years, he's been through a lot and has had to learn a lot as well. Go figure, if some kids he use to meet every now and then vanished from his memory. He had to a lot to think about, combat tactics, weapons training, engineering knowledge and application in combat, convoy tactics, uniform knowledge, marching and drill, and loads of other knowledge literally branded into his brain until it was second nature to him. He could spit out the schematics of humvee turret system on command, but remembering long lost friends? He was at a lost, it was kinda sad actually.

His parents looked over to him, with Jellie's and had a wary look. The topic of his deployment came up, basically telling his story to them. It wouldn't be the first time, seeing as Dillan had some..... Issues, that the other kids would need to no about as to not cause any distress on his part. But there was a reason why his back was facing away from everybody. Dillan was positioned at the end of the table so that no one could be or walk up behind him, just a habit he picked up from deploying.
