Prince Tristan had been peacefully hunting in the forest, until he had gone to go retrieve his kill. When he turned back to look at his horse it was already galloping off into the trees, clearly forgetting all of it's ground-tying training. The young prince groaned, running a hand through his messy brown hair and then throwing down his arrow and running after the bay horse that was skillfully weaving it's way through the trees, carrying all of his food, water and packs. He swore that horse was laughing at him right now...

Tristan knew his father would tell him this was all his fault, and that didn't help because he already felt like a moron, running out of the trees and into the town, the bays shoes clicking on the stone, his own footfalls echoing behind it. He was tired from running so long through the woods, "I'll pay whoever can catch that horse!" He said, almost face-planting around a corner as the bay shot around a fruit stand.

Julian was just leaving Geius' lodgings when he heard the horse racing down the road, nearly running over several people as it tore around stands. When the horse got close enough to him, Julian stepped in front of it. His eyes glinted like white gold as he slowed down his surroundings with hardly a thought. Easily catching the horse's reins, he was half-thrown off his feet when time resumed its normal speed and the full impact of the momentum he had just grabbed onto hit him. After a moment of being mostly dragged by the horse, it finally halted and turned to poke at the thing that had stopped it. Muttering curses as he stood back up, Julian led the horse back to it's master.

"You must be a clotpole if you lost your horse like that." Julian chuckled. "I'm assuming this is your horse, correct? Seeing as how you were really the only one that seemed to have been chasing it for quite a while." he noted the villagers that were returning to their homes after attempting to chase the bay.

Tristan slid to a stop when he saw Julian leading his bay back to him, "What on earth is a clotpole?" He demanded, knowing his father would throw this blond-ish thing into a cell for calling him that, "And yes, that is my horse." He said, crossing his arms as the short-ish bay nibbled at Julian's shirt, obviously intrigued by the creature that had managed to capture it. The horse was a master of escape, Tristan thought to himself. Already it had escaped from two stable-boys, bolted out of his own hands more times than he could recall, and also untied itself from fences and such. The bay just perked its ears toward him like, 'In your face.'. Again, the young prince swore that horse was laughing at him.

Julian chuckled. "A clotpole? Defined in one word: you."
He ran his fingers through his hair and tugged absently at the edge of his scarf. "Anyway, what happened that you lost your horse? From the way you were running, it looked like it wasn't an unusual thing."

He caught movement in the corner of his eye and turned his head just in time to see a crossbow bolt flying towards Tristan.

"Look out!" he blinked and his eyes flashed as time slowed for him once again, giving him time enough to react, tackling Tristan.

The bolt skimmed Julian's back as it passed, causing him to cry out as he fell.

From the bushes beside a nearby house, Myddrin frowned. How had the boy been able to react fast enough to save the prince? Not fast enough to save the skin of his own back, but fast enough to save the prince. She practically growled with contempt as she set her crossbow down and stepped from the bushes. She was deep enough in shadows to not be seen immediately. Running her fingers through her long hair to smooth it and dusting the dirt from her dress, she stepped from the shadows and joined in with the people in the plaza that were trying to figure out where the crossbow bolt had come from.

Tristan made a face at Julian, disapproving, obviously. His father would have Julian thrown in a cell for that, "I was hunting and while I was retrieving my kill my horse bolted." He told Julian, crossing his arms over his chest before combing his fingers through his hair. Mere seconds later his horse shot backwards, making him jump sideways and he was tackled by Julian, making him hit the stone ground with a slight yelp.
My the time Tristan sat up, he saw that Julian had been injured, his previous irritation at the boy for calling him a 'Clot-pole', gone. A mere peasant saved his life...He realized, looking at the cross-bow bolt and going to help Julian to his feet, "You saved my life." He blinked in surprise.

Bregon darted out of the tavern, beer in hand as someone threw a chair at his head, ducking. As he stumbled into the sunlight, the first thing he saw was some guy almost get shot and another jump in to save him. He almost frowned at the foolishness. There was no one worth dying for, he thought to himself. He downed the last of his beer, watching as people in the square wondered where the crossbow bolt had come from. He stepped forward, almost running into Myddrin in the process, immediately taking a step back, "Sorry." He apologized, quickly. He hadn't seen her there. It was almost as if she'd appeared out of nowhere.

Julian winced, accepting Tristan's hand up. "No problem. What'd you do that someone was aiming for you, or was that just a misplaced shot? Speaking of which, where'd that come from, anyhow?" he glanced around the courtyard, trying to pinpoint where the bolt had come from.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw someone bump into a girl who looked vaguely out of place in the area. Actually, the boy he'd just saved looked pretty out of place, too.

"I'm Julian, by the way. I don't think I quite caught who you were?" he questioned Tristan as he watched the girl from the corner of his eye.

Myddrin frowned at the man that had nearly run into her, but forced a smile. "'tis okay. Might I ask the occasion for getting a chair thrown at you? Perhaps I could assist in the situation."

She pushed her curly brown hair over her shoulder and held out a small purse of coins to Bregon. "Might I propose a trade? Information for a few coins?"

Tristan cocked his head to the side and nodded, "Well...I'm Tristan. Prince Tristan Pendragon." He told Julain as if it explained everything. Which it kind of did. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Julian." He said to the blond boy before him, running a hand through his own messy brown hair and looking at Julian. "You seem to have been injured. You saved my life after all...you deserve special treatment." He said.

Bregon looked at Myddrin and nodded, "A bit of a disagreement in the tavern." He said with a shrug. "I can handle myself." He told the girl with curly brown hair, his own glowing in the morning light, seeming to make it shimmer, giving him an angelic appearance. His appearance didn't quite match his personality. "And a few coins...I suppose I could share a bit of information." He told Myddrin with a smile.

Julian nodded in response to Tristan's introduction. He was mildly surprised that this kid was the prince, but he managed not to show it much.

"No special treatment necessary. If anything, I'd ask for a job. Running around town for Geius isn't exactly the most appealing sort of thing." he shrugged, but winced.
"Anyway, I could probably help with your horse, you know. In my village I was always out catchin' people's horses and keepin' them while they were out."
"Back on subject, though. We never determined where the bolt came from."

Myddrin waved back toward the tavern. "I hope your disagreement in the tavern isn't so much that we couldn't take a seat in there for a moment to speak, sir?"
Stepping toward the still-open door, she hesitated and turned back to Bregon. "Unless you'd rather speak out here?"

"Then you shall be my servant!" Tristan declared and then paused once he thought about it a bit more. "Of course, I should ask my father to make that offical." He said as the hot tempered bay began dancing at his side, not liking all the people racing about. It tossed it's head and nearly ran him over. The colt was still young, probably about four or five years old and not quite desensitized to things, meaning he would probably be killed by his own horse if he took it into battle.

Tristan then nodded when Julian mentioned the bolt after settling the bay down, looking around for suspicious people, "You should probably get that wound looked at though." He told Julian.

"Probably did." Bregon told Myddrin but shrugged, "I think I could risk going back in for a few moments." He said, sliding his hands into his pockets, his eyes settling back on Myddrin, framed by wispy pieces of pale gold hair that hadn't been trimmed in quite some time, his clothes were mildly torn and in some places, stained with blood from the fight. Bregon could probably be quite handsome if he cleaned up a bit.

Julian raised an eyebrow at Tristan's declaration, but said nothing in response.

Glancing around the courtyard, he shook his head. "I don't see anyone. Summoning the guards to have a look around might not be a bad idea, though." he winced.

Myddrin nodded to Bregon. "If you would go before me, sir. I have one last thing to attend to out here." at that, she began walking across the plaza at a brisk pace, pausing by Tristan and Julian.

She made to look as if she were admiring Tristan's horse, but her hand was shifting. There. She made to look like she lost her balance and reached out to Julian for balance. Silver flashed out from her hand for an instant and a fresh line of red appeared on Julian's back. Of course, he only thought it was because she'd used him to stabilize herself. Mumbling an apology for her brief interruption, Myddrin walked back to Bregon and the tavern, silently praising herself.

Julian watched the girl that approached them from the corner of his eye, watching as she stumbled and wincing as she caught herself on him, his muscles tensing and sending a fresh flash of pain from his back. The girl walked away.

Julian blinked. He didn't remember his vision being this blurry before. "I- I need to get to Geius. I-" Julian fell into a coughing fit and he collapsed on the ground.

Bregon eyed Myddrin as if he weren't too sure about her, but said nothing, staying where he was supposed to. He rubbed his temples, the back of his head aching from a blow from the fight from earlier.

Tristan hadn't noticed anything unusual but when Julian started blinking and he then spoke, he knew immediately that something was wrong, whether it was because of the earlier wound or not.

"Don't just stand there like a daft fool." A female voice snapped at him and a girl with waving blond hair appeared, reaching down and picking up Julian, surpisingly strong for her size, "Go on then, show me where he lives before he dies because you're standing there like a complete and utter fool!"

Tristan just sorta gaped at her. Good lord, she was worse than Julian! He supposed he shouldn't take that from a woman either, but he figured it'd be best to move it along, quickly showing her to where Geius lived.

Once back to Geius' place, the blond girl laid him down and shot Tristan a look, "I bet you didn't see whatever it was that was silver the girl had in her hand either when she 'fell into him', did you?" She asked him, narrowing her silver-blue eyes, very much like the shimmering fabic on her shirt, her pants a deeper, midnight blue, so deep it looked almost black; upon her back she had two swords, each with intricate carvings at the hilt, obviously a matching set.

Tristan didn't realize he was gawking until he got back up to her light gold hair and saw her ears which were oddly pointed, "What is wrong with your ears!" He yelped. She just shot him a pissed off look, "Why don't we get him," She pointed to Julian, "Some help from this so called Geius first!" She was clearly beginning to lose her temper with the prince...

Geius dropped what he was doing, literally, when Tristan and the girl came in with Julian.

"What happened?" he exclaimed, dashing over to the table to check on his ward. "He's been poisoned." He answered his own question.

He roughly flipped the injured boy over and tore off his shirt to fully expose the wounds beneath. One of them, the most recent one had a purple tinge surrounding it, and the nearly skin seemed to be graying to a similar color. Geius stared in horror at the gruesome wound, but quickly recovered. Snatching the pot of water, which he had been about to use to make his breakfast, from the table, he grabbed a sponge and began to clean the blood from Julian's back. After he finished, he quickly analyzed the purple wound again before he moved to one of his books. He went through it as fast as he could, which wasn't really that fast, and made a sound of triumph when he found what he was looking for.

"Poison of the Luriam plant." Geius traced his finger down the page, muttering under his breath, but his head suddenly snapped up to look at Tristan and the girl. "Where is the thing that cut him? Quick- we may not have much time."
Julian began squirming and making noises from his place on the spare bed, making Geius frown. "Correction. We don't have much time."

Myddrin waved Bregon into the tavern after her. Taking a seat in the corner, she smiled up at the man.

"Please, sit. I have many questions."

Lania told Geius where Julian had been cut, since Tristan didn't seem to have a damned clue about anything. Prince Tristan just sort of stared at the scene before him, how did this odd girl seem to know so much and he so little...he twitched slightly in irritation. The girl just rolled her eyes at him like he was a village fool, which he rather looked like right about now, looking at her pointed ears again raising a brow...she sort of looked like an elf? But that couldn't be...could it? He wondered what an elf could be doing in Camelot when she smacked him upside the head, "Focus." She growled in irriation.

Bregon sat down and crossed his arms, "Alright, what do you want to know?" He asked, tilting his head at her.
