Simon slunk down into the basement like a cat, mostly staying out of the way of his siblings. Many of them were probably feeling some sort of bloodlust, or just wrapped up in choosing, because none noticed him. He waited until his turn, examining all of the humans with an unbiased eye. A few were... interesting. A dark blue-haired one caught his eye, but the human didn't seem right. Too shy, might be quiet and uninteresting.
He glanced around, and it finally came his time to pick. He stepped out and looked at the one girl who had caught his eye. She seemed almost... familiar? Whatever, it mattered not. He chose and stalked back out of the musty basement with his new human. The last one he had set free in a large city, hopefully to stay away from the Vladimirs. He tried to treat all of his 'slaves' well, but sometimes, he got a little hungry. Simon usually apologized. Usually.
He walked into his room, the blonde following. Probably still tranced, he assumed. She'd probably be up and fighting when she woke. Opening the door, he ushered her inside. Might as well learn her name at least.
Chella watched the choosing process through blurry eyes. She felt dazed, maybe in a magical trance or something? Who knew what these vampires were capable of. Her gaze flitted through the array of vampire children. They were all so gorgeous... Fair in a statue-like way, almost too pretty to be real. She was a bit jealous.
As her time came, she didn't resist. She was completely out of her trance, but was so enthralled by her new 'master' that she was a tiny bit dazed... Giddy, some may say.
He was a face from her past- her high school love. She'd turned down many suitors in order to get closer to him... and now, how long would they be together? Years? Forever? She was so hopeless.
When they finally arrived in his room, Chella was almost out cold... again. She was so excited... However, she was a bit nervous. What if all of the scary tales about vampires were true? Eek.
"Welcome to the Vladimir Manor. I am Simon, Simon Vladimir. And you are?" Simon bowed to the girl, who had taken a seat on the bed. His
room was rather dark- he turned on the light, preferring it to the sun. He could see better in the dark, but the girl might get ideas. He didn't want to frighten away his new companion... Not this quickly, anyway.
Chella smiled, glad that he wasn't going crazy and ripping her open. Sure, she was still in love, but the prospect of him being a vampire was slightly deterring. But still.
"My name is Cinnamon Pepper, but most people call me Chella. Pleased to meet you, Simon."He smiled and sat on the bed next to her. Keeping a bit of distance, he looked around.
"Are you still tranced? I would assume not; your speech is clear and you seem mostly awake. I don't approve of December Tenth, sure it's nice to have company, but at least you could get a fight? Unfair, if you want my opinion." He laughed lightly, glad to be out of isolation again.
"Most people don't, as I'm a vampire, deadly and ancient predator. I won't suck your blood, probably, and I'll try to make your stay comfortable. Anyway, enough of my chatter. I believe you will be led to your chambers soon?" He nodded, mostly to himself, and walked over to the door as a knock sounded.
"Nice to meet you, Chella. I do hope your quarters are suiting. I may see you later." Chella walked out of the room, following the little note-like map she'd been given of the Manor. She quickly made her way to the
room set out for her, pleased to see her small bags laid on the bed. The room was nice enough, she guessed. It seemed to be tailored to their interests, mostly...
Collapsing on the bed, she closed her eyes.
What a day...
