Personality |

Vran is not certain whether being chosen as a Royal Guard for the King's youngest child is an honour or an insult for someone formerly known as the “Battle Herald of the Armies of Winter”. Loyalty to his King, and of course, the Queen, is one of his few redeeming qualities. A creature of death, he has a gallows humour that he isn't afraid to use and a knack with a swift and charming apology when he goes too far. A trickster who can tell your future, but who willingly lies about what he sees. He is a man of many vices, easy to distract and seduce, and yet, he is often the first one to spot danger and is quick to respond. Patience is something this watcher and waiter has in abundance, which makes him an ideal guard for a wayward teenage fae.

Abilities |
Fate, Fury and Frenzy are three raven spirits that Vran can dispatch on its own errand. He wears what seems to be a Celtic knotwork brooch, depicting the three entwined ravens. Out of glamour, the brooch is a round shield, the pin a bronze sword.

Fate: he can know the exact time and circumstances of an individual's death.
Fury: he can lay curses upon humans and most types of creature.
Frenzy: he can send those around him into a battle frenzy, gifting them with great strength and power, but lacking in self-control.

He wears what seems to be a Celtic knotwork brooch, depicting the three entwined ravens. Out of glamour, the brooch is a round shield, the pin a bronze sword.

Far Sight: He has an incredible depth and breadth of vision, even sometimes into the future and the past.

Shapeshifting: He can take on the form of a raven and speak their language.

He is bound by the law of naming (to know one's true name is to have power over them)
He is bound by the law of the riddle (setting or answering a riddle is a solemn contract and the terms set must be obeyed)
He is deeply distracted by patterns to the point of incapacity – particularly Celtic knotwork
He must feed on the souls of the dead to maintain use of his powers and glamour
The touch of iron is extremely harmful, even in proximity it has its effects
