Remiel found himself at the edge of a forest he didn't recognize. "Just need to keep moving...." he muttered to himself aloud. Glancing down at his blood stained hands. "Can't let them find me.." His escape from his master had not been with out difficulty many guards had tried to stop him from freeing the others and Remiel had be forced to kill several of them. Someone must have gotten a lucky hit in as he tried to escape a fresh cut beneath his ribs was letting a small amount of blood escape. 'damn.'

With no where to go or any idea where he was he decided he should just continue to run. Pushing through the forest making sure to stay away from any type of main road. In the distance he heard people talking in the direction he was heading. He quickly darted behind a tree hoping he hadn't been seen. He winced as he quickly held his side trying to keep the bleeding down.

Slowly he moved closer weary about the people before him. He wasn't sure if they were guards searching for him but he didn't feel like risking getting seen. Trying his best to keep himself silent he finally got close enough to make out the small group of four. They seemed to just have finished dealing with slavers themselves, judging from the bodies. 'I shouldn't get involved with them' he thought and quickly tried to move around the group. But his size betrayed him and branch snapped under his weight.

"I don't take magic well." Tollun said, even though he had been alluding to it a couple of times. It had to do something with dragon scales, but magic just seemed to disperse over them, which wasn't always a bad thing for those who wielded it as a weapon, but made more complex magics nearly impossible on Tollun.

Tollun then began walking to the spot that Cardista sat down at. She didn't look like she would stop until Tollun had sat down for a while. About halfway through his walk, a twig snapped. Tollun instantly stood perfectly straight up, his head facing the direction of the sound. He slowly walked towards the origin of the sound, silently staring in the direction of the sound.

The loud crashing of the branch shattered the attempt to have Tollun to join her by the tree. Cardista shot straight up from the ground, her ears twitching upwards and her tail all a fluff. Wasting little time readying her bow and she took aim in the direction of the fallen limb. She was a little more than upset, causing her to narrowing her sight as she marched toward the distraction. She could not help but let out a small hiss while speaking.
"Who is there?!....Friend or foe?!"

Remiel froze for a second thinking about his next move. 'We're they hostile or just scared much like myself....?' Slowly he began to reach for his sword but ultimately decided against it. He raised both hands as he step out from behind a tree. Blood began to pour slowly from his wound once again. "Don't shoot." He was now able to view the whole group. A Dragonkin stood not very far from him. Not someone he really wanted to try and fight in a test of strength but would if provoked. Next he took note of the Neko aiming the arrow straight at him. Most would be entranced by her beauty but Remiel was smarter then to be duped by a pretty face, all Neko's have claws and speed to use them. Then he turned his gaze to a what Remiel assumed was human who looks like he had seen a few fights in his time. Finally he saw a young elfish woman who wore an elegant attire not suited for combat. His eyes dart back in forth between the forth wondering if they would attack or leave.

"Lower your bow......please." He was trying to seem less threatening but his voice came off cold and ruthless. Adrenalin was causing his heart to pump unusually fast in his chest, suddenly his vision began to blur slightly and his legs shook. 'was the blade of that guard laced in poison....damn.' he thought to himself. It wouldn't be enough to kill him but would cause paralysis soon for a few hours. All the running Remiel did just pushed it through his veins faster.

Seeing the hands of this man raised above his head, Card sighed with relief at the fact he was not another on of those damned slavers. Slowly pointing the bow downward she eased back the tension on the string, before tucking the arrow back into it's quiver. While slinging the bow back on her shoulder, she inched closer to the man. Keeping her pace slow she began to circle him before deciding for herself if he was a threat or not...After making a full round she stopped less then inches in front of him. Placing her hands to rest on her shapely little hips she looked up at his face as if in deep thought. Having made her conclusion of this fellow she shot him a warm smile.

"You are hurt too? Come and rest too. Maybe Sariya heal."

It sounded as if she was inviting an old friend in for tea. This was because she had noticed a huge sword on him, yet he chose not to pull it out. This meant he was not an immediate threat and if she didn't feel threatened, Cardista would treat anyone kindly. Turning on the heals of her boots she made way back over to Tollun resuming the soft tugging at the seam of his shirt towards the spot she had originally picked for him to rest at.

"Rest now please...."

When the new man showed himself, Tollun began to relax. His hands where in the air and he wielded no weapon. Anything he had was in whatever place it was meant to be stored, something that told Tollun that this man did not mean him harm.

Turning, Tollun moved back to where Cardista had been sitting. She had already begun to tug on his shirt again, aking him to rest. Tollun didn't know many people who were so instant on forcing others to rest. Most would have tried to get to a nearby town or settlement in the hopes that they could be safe there, as they had just survived a slaver attack party.

Oh well. Tollun thought. He followed the tugging until he was at the tree. Putting one hand out behind him, Tollun dug his clawed, scaled fingers into the tree. As he slowly lowered his body, his fingers left definite scratch marks in the tree, only be removed once he sat down.

He knew it was a bad idea to sit down. Tollun had just known it, but he had nothing to back it up with and someone who was intent on getting him to sit. As Tollun sat in place, his eyes began to clicker open and closed as he struggled to stay awake. Now that he had started to rest, his body screamed only for the fullest type of rest, sleep.

Cardista decidedly went off and decided to play with her new friend, giving him quite the show as she seemingly sauntered on her way. Before he could respond to her question regarding what he said earlier to the draconic the very guy she was talking about went ahead and called him a light challenge in a roundabout way. The way the draconic phrased his words was not in a very aggressive manner but it didn't a very aggressive manner to get Revik into a fighting mood. Even still, Cardista probably saved the man from a fight since she did have a point. The guy was injured and regardless of how tough he thought himself an injured man wouldn't be a very satisfying duel, even if it was a dragon blooded man. After all, he's fought a few draconics on his travels and despite their battle worthy gear they still got knocked out like the rest. He didn't need to prove to himself he could take a cut up battle worn draconic man with nothing on. He also didn't think the fair women of their company would much appreciate it either.

Before he could retort however the snapping of a branch alerted him to another presence. He looked out but one of the few downsides to his helmet was that it limited his vision to some extent. Before he could get his hopes up the intruder was just another slave from the looks of it, a larger one who seemed to have more wounds than the draconic. Given the number of slavers that were here he put two and two together, coming to the conclusion that there was likely a slaver camp nearby. Now he felt torn.

Do I go and indulge myself in beating a bunch of slavers to a pulp or do I stay here with Sariya? Suddenly a separate realization popped into his head. Most of the slavers here weren't dead, just entranced. He looked over at her as she was offering to demonstrate a dance of hers, something he'd be more than happy to see but would have to wait until his concern regarding the slavers was answered. "Hey Sariya? Not that I wish to interrupt you but um... How long does that particular spell you've got these here slavers under last?" He addressed the question while the draconian and Cardista lounged around a tree, the escaped slave apparently not doing too well it seemed. One issue at a time...

Sariya glanced at Revik, "Well. I have them on two spells, one put them to sleep as you see, the other songspell paralyzed them, that one lasts much longer than the sleep." she replied before looking at the man Cardista called out, he was injured and could use her help healing him. Sariya smiled as she gracefully moved her way over to him and bowed slightly, "Don't worry, I'll heal your injuries to an extent, if it's minor, I can heal it." she said with a gentle tone, she had nothing that'd heal major injuries, at least, as far as she knew. Though he seemed cold and hostile to them, when she guessed, since it was common, he was fleeing from slavers rather than gunning for them, she felt like she could trust the man, at least, he wasn't a slaver which would keep all of them safe. Though Sariya stretched, which in that second unintentionally showed the full parts to her pointed ears, though she kept a kind gaze on the new man, to make sure he didn't do anything.

Remeil watched the group for just a moment before heading over to the Elfish girl who said she could heal only minor wounds.A numbing sensation went through his leg but it was nothing he couldn't push through. "It's just a small cut here." He motioned to the bleeding wound with his burnt arm. "The blade was coated in a Paralysis potion." Though his vision was blurred he realized he had been staring at the elf girls ears, once it had occurred to him that he was he quickly looked down at the ground before sitting down. A aura of unease came over Remeil, he was still unsure if he could trust this people. Every single person here could just turn on him and return him to his master, and in the state he was in there was no way he could fight all of them. Trying to shake off the unease feeling looked up at the elf and the human wearing the helmet "I'm Remeil Fado."

Cardista took her place under the tree next to Tollun. Noticing the trouble in his eyes maybe even worry about letting his guard down, she curled closer to him resting her head daintily upon the side of his upper arm. She looked up at him through lowered lashes and a kind smile dancing upon her lips. After a moment of just watching him try to fight off sleep, she gave his cheek closest to her a pet with the back of her hand.

"I will watch. Once you rest we all move on? Is this alright?

She shot a look over to the others to see if there was any disagreement with her plan.

By the time Cardista began to speak, Tollun was well beyond the point of being able to comprehend talk. He was not holding on to his awareness for much longer. His eyes gave one last glassed over blink before his body went limp and his breathing slowed. As he lay against the tree, a small symphony of snorts and huffs gave a definite sound to the fact that he was out.

He nodded when he heard Sariya confirm that the slavers would be out of commission for the rest of the day. He wouldn't of minded if they came out of the paralysis since he'd just knock them all out again anyways but not having to constantly look over his shoulders to make sure they haven't broken out of the spell yet was also good.

He came over to see what was up with the newcomer since Sariya had been offering him healing. When he mentioned that he was poisoned Revik gave something that could be construed as a low growl. "Poison." He spoke low, his voice ripe with disgust. "That's well expected from those belly crawling snakes." He assumed the man had been attacked by slavers just as these people had when he said that. There was little he liked less than people who would as low as to poison or drug someone. Between the cowardice of the act and his unfortunate history regarding that matter he was ill disposed to such tactics.

None the less it was a feeling to be passed. When the man introduced himself he thought it only appropriate to do the same. "Good to meet you Remeil. I am Revik Howster, Weapon Master of the Cestus." He greeted him with a welcoming tone. He looked over when Cardista talked about what they were going to do. "Right. We'll wait for Remeil and him to recover and then move on from there." He confirmed the decision with her. "Though that raises the question: Where are we even going?"
He asked the question, addressing everyone at this point. "I just came from the harbor and there ain't no ships leaving the docks due to the rainfall." He looked to each of those who were more or less conscious to get an answer to a fairly basic question.

Cardista gave Tollun's cheek once last lingering stroke, and sighed with relief that he was actually asleep. She had been resting for who knows how long before the whole slaver fiasco, and was still quite energetic. She pushed back on the tree some as she hopped back up off the ground. Reaching both arm high over her head she gave a great stretch before striding over the to other three to get a better look at how Sariya did her healing.

"There are several towns near. One to the east is dangerous, but closet and has inns. I have gold to get hot foods."

Shooting a sultry look at Revik, she couldn't help but to give lips a small lick. It wasn't until she mentioned food that she realized how hungry she was. Turning back to the other two, Cardista leaned in a little closer to the elf girl and the injured man, a hand resting upon her hip as she watched the healing process. Her tail twitched every now, trying as hard as she could to focus all her attention on them to try to forget the small grumbles that were growing in her stomach.

Sariya nodded hearing the poison, Sariya, Sariya Yotamaru." she replied adjusting her weight on another leg as she healed the injury, with a song being hummed to conjure the spell. The next problem was the poison that Remeil was talking about, which was her main problem, she looked around with careful eyes as she heard a grumble form Cardista's stomach, which provoked Sariya to grab a bit of food from her bag and hand it to her, Here. You seem more hungry than I am." she said smiling as she rose noting a few plants, one was a mint bush, it offered no real help in toxins, but it at least would stave off hunger for a bit if she needed. The next was what she called Chokeberries, which would cause one's throat to swell up and suffocate rather slowly. The others were a holly, and then she saw the one she needed, Gynostemma, immediately she took a good portion of it and began making it into more of a paste-like substance, using some rocks, "Here, Remeil, this should help fight the poison off, it won't cure, but it'll help at least" though soon she looked to Revik and spoke with a calm tone, sounding like a mother than herself,

"Well. I was heading south with some travelling merchants, there's a town nearby, shall we rest there?"

Cardista took the food hastily from Sariya's hands, giving a small squeal of joy.

"Oh thank you mistress!!"

Falling to the ground landing legs cross indian style, as she began to devour the rations. It didn't take long before her hunger was subsided. She hopped back up once Sariya had treated Remeil falling close to her like a child following her mother. After she spoke to Revik, Cardista latched around her waist giving her a tight embraced, nuzzling her head to her chest with cheerful giggle. She was very grateful for all these kind acts.

"Thank you." Remeil could already feel the effects of the ointment given to him by Sariya though he still felt numb in his arms and legs. Eyeing everyone around him trying to figure out the best way to act. "I'm not even sure what region I'm in." He said quietly. It was weird to be around so many people that he didn't have to fight. Fighting and killing others was all he knew as a slave, could this really be a chance for him to start over. As much as he wished he could start over he imagined most would find his appearance disturbing due to the large amount of scars that cover his body and the burnt flesh that encompasses his right arm. "I should probably keep moving, my Master will be hunting me soon enough." He tried to stand but the weakness in his knees caused him to fall once again. "I shouldn't involve you in my fight..." On the inside he knew he won't fit in with them and he would hate for them to get hurt because of him.

Continuing to death hug Sariya, Cardista lifted her head some from the elf's bosom, to peek over at Remiel. She could help but to roll her eyes at how silly he sounded to her.

"You need rest! I watch over you too. I will protect."

After giving Sariya one last nuzzle, she released her tall beautiful form. Maybe it was her motherly tone she used when speaking, but Cardista felt a deep affection for her already. She scampered over to the Remeil, circling him again only this time pressing close to him. Her tail wrapping up around him in a somewhat provocative style. She ran the tips of her fingers gently over his the back of his neck and shoulders, then down the length of his arm before taking hold of his hand. She looked up at him, batting her lashes. Broken as her common was she tried hard to be persuasive.

"You are weak now. Rest and then we ALL go. Safer in group. No? If Remeil's master comes Revik kills him."

She raised a brow as she shot a look at Revik, hoping the metal man would agree. She hated to be alone and assumed from his previous advances toward the dancer, that Revik might want the opportunity to show off his skills in combat. This may work in both their favors. She interlocked Remeil's fingers with hers. She felt pain for him with the burns and the injuries he had recently been afflicted with. This master was clearly a sick man and she wanted to help him.

Deep within his slumber, Tollun had not noticed his head drifting closer to his feet. Not like he could have done anything about it, but he still drifted. With a loud snort, from the pent up air cause by his awkward position, Tollun shot up.

Quickly looking about, the now standing Tollun held a fighters stance. After a few moments of looking around, he let loose a deep, bellowing yawn before stretching. The whole group had shifted. This caught Tollun a little off guard, but not too badly.

"Did I miss something?" Tollun asked, after walking to were the group was, in a much chipper tone that when he spoke last.

Remeil twitched as the Cardista's fingers went along his shoulder and neck, almost as if he expect pain rather then the soft touch of her skin. It was weird that feeling affection from another to any extent, but to be honest this stranger made Remeil feel at ease in ways he didn't think were possible. So maybe just for now he would do as she asked and rest. "Okay...I'll rest." He blushed slightly as her fingers became interlocked with his own. "Thank you." However even as he allowed himself to believe her words, somewhere in the back of his mind he still felt uncertain about so many things. In the end he still wondered if he could truly be free. That was the last thought that passed through his mind as he felt the little bit of energy he had leave him. He tired to keep his eyes open afraid this would all end when he awoke and be alone once again. However in the end his fatigue out weighted his fears and he found himself resting peacefully holding tightly to Cardista's hand.

"Sounds like a fine plan." He answered Sariya's question as to whether they should proceed to town. Of course he'd be inclined to go with her seeing as how she was pretty much his main reason for sticking around like this. He turned over to Cardista when he overheard her talking about him killing off some slaver or something along those lines while she talking with Remeil. "Well I ain't one to kill on the word but I don't say I haven't knocked a slaver's block off for being a right son of a dog either." He shrugged in a general sort of manner. Though he was no stranger to violence by any means he had a complicated mix of feelings towards killing. He understood it happens all the time and is sometimes necessary to kill something or someone but at the same time he's well practiced enough with a weapon that typically is less lethal than most that he has the choice to spare those he beats more often than most. With his experience with the Weapon Master's guild and some of the character's he's met from there he finds it almost unnecessary most of the time. He didn't want to become like those to who life was worth less than a dime. He especially never wanted to become like Ersot Alexanderson the Third, killing out of pride instead of necessity.

When he looked back to Sariya he realized he probably should be a bit more proper around a lady of such fine stature such as herself. He gave a quick nod of his helmet in an apologetic manner to her. "Pardon my rude language. I do not often find myself in the company of one as refined and beautiful as yourself." He spoke soft and politely, his apology genuine in nature. While he knew technically how to act in front of higher class women he had been at sea for a few years and was quite out of practice seeing as how his only company most of the time were ill tempered salty pirates. He did not want his rowdy pirate behavior to peak out too strongly around a woman such as herself as he was fairly certain someone of her grace would not find those mannerisms too agreeable.

He heard the draconian who's name he had yet to catch wake up and ask about what's up. "Nothing much. We're going to wait until everyone's ready to move forward before we head where Sariya was headed next." He filled the guy in since the neko was fairly intent on dragging these fellows along and he didn't much mind since she was quite a lovely little thing. Since they were waiting here for the time being his mind drew over to the paralyzed slavers. Simply leaving them to wake up a while later just to bother them again some other time wouldn't be too smart since these people probably had enough problems being hunted it seemed. He went over and started confiscating all their weapons. Once he disarmed them all he went through their pockets and pouches, taking their money as well.

Only twenty gold across the lot of em. Figures. He mentally noted the total as he brought the weapons over to Sariya and Cardista along with the satchel of gold coins he gathered. "If we're just gonna leave 'em all like so it's only smart to disarm 'em so they can't come get us from behind. Without their weapons and any money to buy new weapons they'll be forced to go back where they come from. We'll be long gone before they can start trying to hassle you all again." He informed them both. He turned to Remeil and set the bundle of weapons down in front of him, one hand supporting the lower rim of his helms face plate as he tried to gauge just how out of it the guy was. "Provided you're conscious enough to get what I'm saying here's your chance to get a pick of a weapon if you want one before I pawn the rest off at the next town." He extended the offer to him since the guy seemed like he'd be less jumpy with some way to defend himself, well, if he was awake enough to hear him that is.

Tollun walked over to Revik, picking one of the longswords out of the pile. With the weapon in his hands, Tollun began to run the flat side of the sword along his right hand's scaly palm. The sharp, silver colored blade was forged by a slave he had known many years ago who worked for his second master, obviously still surviving thanks to his amazing craftsmanship. What made that apparent to Tollun was the small symbol of a dragon running up the side of the blade, something that he had convinced his old friend to do so that he could always say when a blade was made by his hands.

"These men don't need money or weapons to get more weapons. They have no fear of anyone beyond who pays them, and will gladly beat a smith to death with their bare hands to get new weapons." Tollun stated with a distinct and hateful tone to his voice. The images of the lashings, the beatings, the tortures, all came back. They rushed in like angered crows, stopping for nothing but to show themselves. With a quick shake of his head, Tollun returned to the current times.

Sariya nodded hearing the plan Cardista had mentioned, that they remain where they are allowing the injured others to heal and rest. Though she walked to Tollun and smiled, taking the ointment she made and dabbing it on his injuries, "I'm going to apply a little medicine here, allowing your body to take the herbal remedy in. It should help" she said noting the weapons and gold being taken from the slavers whom were either dead or under her spells, honest to say, she did not seem to care that Revik had taken them, and said they were to pawn them, though an idea came to mind, "First, I do not mind swearing, Revik, as long as it is necessary, but instead of just benefiting us, why not helping the village? I've heard that the bandits raid them often and take most means for them to fight back, why not allow for said village to fight back the bandits, which once they are done, the slavers will harm the village even worse-" she stopped suddenly as she listened, her elfish ears could pick up sounds a ways away that usual humans couldn't, which what she heard had spooked her, causing her snake sword to be drawn and ready to be swung with ease,

"Speaking of Slavers, I hear more. My guess for Remiel. We need to defend Remiel, shall we?"

Perhaps it had been how she worded it, but Cardista was taken a back by how Revik had responded to her comment regarding if the slave master was to come back for this man. She had not meant it as a "command", but wouldn't that be what anyone would do in that situation. Perplexed by this she just gave an agitated look away from them all with a quiet huff, knowing she had no moral struggle with killing any enemy that was harming an innocent soul. It might be cruel to some, but it was not like she was actively hunting down people for sport. She knew that it would be hard conveying this to the others with her limited tongue. She thought it wise to choose to keep a hushed mouth, rather than offending anyone.

Cardista slipped her hand away from Remiel's grip so she could hop up to her feet. She could hear the sound of someone coming as well. Of course she had known resting there wasn't the ideal situation, but she couldn't possibly think of making two that were as injured as Remiel and Tollun make any sort of journey in their states. She was happy to see that Tullon had been up and seemed to be moving with a bit more ease. Perhaps this was from the dragon blood he possessed?

After dropping her pack down next to Remiel, she once again readied her bow up. She ducked down low to silently move toward the sound, wanting to scout out what might be coming. With ears perked up and body kept low, Cardista made way through some brush trying to remain concealed. She was only a good 30 to 40 feet ahead before coming to a dead halt. Barely being able to make out the forms of several people, made four, heading in their little party's direction, she wanted to be certain these were indeed slavers. With the bowstring pulled back, taking aim, and breath held, she waited for them to move in closer for a better view.

Revik

He listened as the draconic went on about how these guys will be on their tail in no time since they're ruthless like that.
After he finished Revik gave a hearty laugh. "You think it'll be easy just like that huh? You sure do live in a world of worst case scenarios. In any case, they show their faces back here and I'll send 'em all packin' to their bosses with
their tails between their legs." He spoke with great confidence, his hands perched on his hips as he spoke.

He turned to hear Sariya out as she was speaking to him when she stopped all of a sudden. Turns out she could hear more slavers coming. It impressed him given that he didn't hear them himself. "Right. How many voices do you count?" He asked her, hoping to get an estimate as to just how many they were up against. It wasn't to say that he was not counting himself lucky for a round two to finally show some moves but he wasn't heedless of the danger. Knowing more about what he was getting into was never a bad thing.

Seeing Cardista move up ahead to scout out what was coming he watched her slip into the bushes before deciding what he was going to do. He kicked off his clunky leather boots leaving him barefoot in the grass. While it seemed like an odd thing to do he knew it made his steps a lot quieter, disturbing much less of the refuse. He was no stranger to playing it subtle and taking the stealthy route. Given his weapons short range and his relatively minimal armor there were often situations where just walking straight up and trying to hit the bad guy would of been straight up suicide. He always used his cestuses true to his title but he never promised anyone that he'd play fair when the odds are against him.

Creating as little noise as he could he snuck up until he was no less than ten feet behind Cardista. While he could be sneaky he was not as stealthy as her by far and he didn't want to compromise her position when she was hidden well enough on her own so he kept back so he'd be harder to see when they were in range. Behind a tree concealed by an adjacent bush he tried to get a look at who was coming but he probably wasn't going to see them before the rest of these people did since his helmet did get a bit in the way.
