Griffin sat frozen in his place as the girl burst out into hysterics. He didn't know why she was suddenly was laughing, had he said soemthing funny? "You don't need to worry about that. I'm already hated by my peers." she said to him with the friendliest smile on her face it made Griffin shift uncomfortably in his seat. "Besides, there's no way I could just stand by and watch another person die when I could help." "I'm not just any person." he told he her; his voice as stern as ever. "What was that word your kind had called me? A monster?"

He hopped off of the bed and moved over to look out the window. There was nothing on the other side, nothing but a brick wall blocking out any sight of the outside world. "Who am I?" he asked the girl, but mainly he was asking himself as he stared absentmindedly out the window. It was always a question he's been meaning to ask himself, but never exactly had the chance to.

Azalea could make out the boy's footsteps as he walked out the room heard him rummaging through something until he finally returned. She glanced to see that he had a first aid kit in his hands, "Show me the wound." he muttered; glaring for the sixth time since she's been here.

"No," Azalea said flatly as she pulled her legs up closer to her chest and away from him. "Get away from me." It wasn't that she hated the guy, but after what the others did to her; bringing her here and torturing her, he wasn't her favorite person either. Infact, he made her sick and ever so infuriated in all the wrong places that her pulsing in her head came back. She tried to press a hand over the wound to ease the pressure, but it did very little help.

Eric growled under his breath and stomped over to her, he grabbed her arm and sat her up, sitting down behind her he used one arm to press her firmly against his chest so she couldn't move and used the other to move her hand and get a look at the wound, he muttered an obscenity under his breath and grabbed some disinfectant to start treating it. He hated being this close to a Glader but this was his orders.

Krystal Joice

Krystal looked at him sadly as he got up and went to the window. After he asked who he was she hesitated a moment before saying. "I don't know..." Another pause. "But you're not a monster."

"I don't know..." he heard her say from behind. "But you're not a monster." Griffin knew she was lying. He could hear the loud thumps from her heart racing, and sensed her fear. He opened his mouth to respond when a thunderous boom came from somewhere in the warehouse until it ended with the echo of shattered glass, then silence.

Griffin whirled his attention onto the girl as if she had an explanation.

Azalea was taken by surprise when the guy yanked her from the chair, and took his seat. She felt her back pressed against his chest and immediately tried to squirm away, but his arm was already around her; pressing her closer to him. The more she tried to get away, the worse it got. From behind she heard him mutter a cursory as he reached over to grab some disinfectant and started treating her wound.

Azalea kicked and squealed; being this close to him sent chills racing through her body. An unpleasant state. She wanted to get away from him, she had to get away from him. Suddenly, she found a way to bite into his arm, and wiggle out from his grip. She scooted herself to the other side of the room far away from him as possible. "Get out of here." she muttered through gritted teeth. Her eyes seemed to glow more vividly now. The silver rings around her blue eyes were now shifting into a pitch black color. "I..want..you...outta here!" she shouted at him in full rage causing the dresser closest to him to rattle and shack violently, and the window above her had shattered. Azalea hugged her knees to her body as tiny crystals had burst throughout the room.

Then, it was over.

"Ah!" Eric grunted as his grip loosened when the bitch bit his arm. "What the fuck!?" He growled. Then his eyes widened as he saw her eyes and backed away from the dresser that shook and he covered his head against the glass. He looked at her then at the window. "Ok..." He said slowly, lifting up his hands, his anger suddenly gone and replaced by... sympathy? "Listen to me... ok? I can't leave you alone in here... but I can leave you alone. Here..." He said moving over to the opposite corner of the room and slowly sitting down. "I'll stay here... and you can stay there... and we don't have to talk... ok?"

Krystal Joice

Krystal was looking at him sadly then her eyes widened as she heard the sound and she jumped up, looking to the door. She had no idea what had caused it.

Griffin stood there frozen as he stared at the girl staring at the closed door. He could easily tell by the way she looked at the door, she hadn't known what made that sound. Griffin thought of walking out the door and searching for what had made that sound, but instead he moved back over to the girl's bed; his arm brushing the girl's as he passed. "Why are you guys keeping me and Azalea here?" he asked the girl\, though he wasn't looking at her. "What exactly do you want from us? Are you trying to kill us?" He laid on his back, and stared absentmindedly at the ceiling above him, and traced the cracks from it by moving his finger through the air.

Azalea sat there glaring at each step the boy took until he positioned himself on the other side of the room and sat down. "I'll stay here... and you can stay there... and we don't have to talk... ok?" he told her from far across the room. She didn't answer him. She didn't have to. Instead she rolled her eyes as she scooted farther into the corner, and rested her head on the wall.

Silence filled through the room as no one talked; nothing but the sounds of slow, ragged breaths were being exchanged. It stayed like that for no more then ten minutes before Azalea broke the silence. "I'm sorry," she grumbled under her breath as her finger nail scratched at the chipping paint on the wall. "But you made me do it."

Eric sighed and put a hand to his head like he had a headache. "I know I was being rough but I was following orders, the old man told me to take care of your wound so that's what I was trying to do. You weren't making it easy."

Image

Krystal Joice

Krystal looked back at the boy and slowly sat back down on the couch. She sighed and sat back so her back rested against the back of the couch. "I don't know." She said honestly. "They never tell me anything. I never expected Jeb would ask me to keep an eye on you."

"They never tell me anything. I never expected Jeb would ask me to keep an eye on you."
Her words made him sit up, and stare at her with a confused expression upon his face. "Keep an eye on me?" he said. "What makes you think you, or anyone out there can be the boss of me? His voice was challenging.

Azalea watched from across the room as the boy rubbed at his temples; obviously irritated. "I know I was being rough but I was following orders, the old man told me to take care of your wound so that's what I was trying to do. You weren't making it easy."

"Not making it easy?" Azalea said; her voice suddenly rising. "Let's not forget you yelled at me, and dragged across this..this hell like a rag doll. And I'm not making it easy?" She turned her body around to face the corner. She clearly didn't want to see no part of this guy's face. "Just.." her words caught in her throat before she swallowed and continued. "Go away. I don't want you any where near me or in this room. I hate you." She ran her fingers through her hair, then rested her chin on her knees.

Eric rolled his eyes and rested his back against the wall. "I told you I can't leave you in here alone. I was ordered not only to take care of your wounds but to keep an eye on you. I won't say anymore. I won't touch you or come near you but I have to stay in here."

Krystal looked at him surprised then giggled softly. "I'm not saying I'm the boss of you. I'm saying I'm just making sure you don't hurt anyone or yourself while we wait for Jeb's next move."

"I'm not saying I'm the boss of you. I'm saying I'm just making sure you don't hurt anyone or yourself while we wait for Jeb's next move." the girl said. Griffin stared at her for more than three minutes; deep in his thoughts before he finally replied. "I'm not going to hurt myself," He muttered as he looked down to fidget with his fingers. "I'm not that messed up in the head.

Azalea didn't respond as if there was no point in arguing anymore. The room was silent for the time being. No on talked, no one moved. It felt like another hour or so had passed by before Azalea gave out a yawn, and curled herself into a ball; shivering from the cold as she did so. She was more than exhausted for the day; she was worn out. She pondered at ways that might succeed to her escape from that place before she dozed off to sleep.

Eric watched her silently as they sat in mutual silence, deep in thought of memories of the past. When she yawned and fell asleep, he saw her shivering he tried to ignore it for a while but it continued to bug him, for some reason, he didn't like her being cold. He growled softly and made sure she was really asleep before draping a blanket over the girl and went back to sit in the corner.

Krystal nodded as she looked at him and settled back on the couch. "I didn't think you were." She said and gave him a small smile. She didn't know why, but she was growing kinda fond of this moody Glader, she hoped Jeb didn't have anything too awful in store for him and his friend.

"I didn't think you were." Griffin glanced up in time to see the sincere smile on the girl's face, and it was the first time he really looked at her. She was really pretty; beautiful infact with dark brown hair and then there were her eyes. Griffin couldn't help but stare into her eyes. They were enthralling, like sparkling kaleidoscopes of color. They were celery green, but also ocean blue. Dashes of chesnut brown speckled her irises. And for some reason, he felt this weird feeling in his gut as he stared at them. It was unpleasing yet exhilarating at the same time. Griffin never experienced this feeling before, and it was actually annoying not knowing what it was.

"I need to sleep." he muttered before quickly laying down on the bed; his back turned toward the girl.

Azalea wasn't asleep. For some maddening reason she couldn't sleep. There were millions of images and ideas and plans and deadlines running through her head, but they're chasing each other round and round to the point where her mind couldn't catch a single one, but gets pounded with all of them at the same time as they ricochet and slam into the walls of her head. She wrapped herself tighter into a ball; shivering as she did so, and that was when she felt a blanket drop onto her.
For some odd reason, she felt this intensifying pull in her stomach. She couldn't describe the feeling because she has never experienced this odd sensation before; however, it was more than irritating.

"Thank you." she murmured.

Eric jumped when he heard her murmured thanks, not having realized she was awake and he rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. "O-Oh... no problem..." He muttered.

Krystal Joice

Krystal stared back at the boy, curious as to why he was looking at her so intently but she took the time to take in his appearance. He was rather handsome himself, his almost black hair an attractive mess atop his head and his dark eyes staring intently into her's, she found herself frozen under his gaze. When he finally said he needed to sleep and turned away from her she blinked a few times to get her bearings. "O-Oh... Ok..." She said slowly and laid down on her couch, watching his figure, knowing she wasn't getting any sleep herself.

"O-Oh... Ok..." Griffin heard the girl say from behind him. He waited until a minute or two before he peeked behind his back towards her. She was laying fully down on the couch now, and he watched her until she fully dozed off.

As he spoke, Azalea whirled her whole body around until she was facing him. Even at a distance she could see the jagged haircut of his brown hair, cropped closely on sides and falling towards front. His eyes; however, were her favorite feature for its slate mixture of gray and dark, dark blue. They were captivating. All in all, he maintained that dashing, model-like look that mostly everyone found attractive.

As she took in his appearance, there was another gnawing feeling that came to her stomach. It didn't make sense. The feeling confused Azalea. However, she didn't let it irritate no more as she continued staring at the boy until she finally dozed to sleep.

Eric felt the girls gaze on him and looked at her, thoroughly confused as to why she was watching him with any expression other than hate or animosity. He didn't get it but before he could ask her she fell asleep for real this time and he sighed going back to his corner and sitting down.
