Introduction
You have been captured.
You are different.
You have been taken to a castle. It appears to be grungy from the outside, at least from the military jet you are escorted in. A large man beside you dressed in military uniform prepares a needle. You seem to be frozen, unable to talk or move. The man puts the needle in your arm. Your vision begins to blur...
And it goes black.
You wake up in a 4 poster bed in a large room. Brick walls, wood floors, white roof with wood braces. No furnature minus a lamp and bedside table with a thin electronic tablet that lays on it. The tablet is turned off, but flashes on as soon as your eyes meet the pale grey screen.
A face pops up on the screen. A female, very plain looking. She begins to talk.
"Hello Child/Teen,
You have been discovered as an abnormal being. You possess a power that no one alive has, and you have been placed in an extremely remote quarantine. You can not contact the outside world. This quarantine is your school, your training grounds for your power, everything.
Get used to it, as you will be here for a while."

My vision is blurred, but I quickly rub the sleep from my eyes. I put on my fuzzy slippers and drag my feet groggily to the bathroom. I start running my shower,I pull up the opening page on the tablet and check my schedule for the day.
"Yay! The same as always." I said sarcastically. I have been here for eleven years, and I have switched schedules five times.
That's about once every two years.
I have been here the longest out of all the kids in the Castle. Kids come and go, well, most come and die. Die from training accidents, the electric mesh field from trying to escape, or sometimes from the guards. I can only think of one person who got out, because the Head Council decided that the power was useful to the world.
I tightened my robe, then walked out of my room and to the railing of the loft area.
"Wake up, sleepy heads! I'm going to take all the hot water!" I yell to my dormmates Amandine and Amelia.
I walk back into the bathroom, take off my bathrobe, and step in the shower.

I stood up and crossed over to my bedroom which was right beside the bathroom and across from the kitchen/living room. I walked into my bedroom and quickly glanced in the mirror. I was a mess. My blonde hair was all over the place. It had tangles and I didn't have time for a shower because Serena always took the longest. I had to comb my hair since i had no time for a shower. I winced as I dragged the comb through my hair, wincing and crying as it forced itself through the tangles. Finally I was done and my hair was straight and soft, with no tangles. I walked over to my dresser and grabbed my curling iron and waited for it to heat up so I could curl my hair. Once it was hot enough, I curled it giving me loose curls.
I unplugged the curling iron after and walked over to my dresser. I spent a couple minutes trying to figure out what to wear before i picked a blue long sleeve shirt and some black pants. I always liked a bit of cute so I grabbed a black and white polka dot head band with a bow on it and I put it in my hair. I picked out a pair of boots and I slipped into some boots. I walked over to my desk and grabbed my bag. I walked out of the room and into the kitchen to prepare so breakfast. I glanced at the clock. Had it only been 15 minutes? I looked in the fridge and grabbed some stuff to make so breakfast. It would be a long day. I needed some food.
"Guys, it's time to get up." Addie said mid-yawn, and reached over to grab her shower supplies case. Stumbling into the bathroom, she turned on the hot water and stepped in, letting the warm water cascade down her hair and back. Sighing in happiness, Addie reached out with her only dry hand and pressed the button on her tablet that read her schedule. Her first official class was Art, after breakfast and Personal Study. Smiling, she reached for the shampoo. Addie loved her art class. Art was the one thing she could rely on to keep her own emotions in check, because she always had everyone else's pounding inside her head anyway, she couldn't let her own emotions change dramatically.
Getting out of the shower, she put on her purple sundress, turquoise cardigan, and white lace flats. It was supposed to be a nice, sunny, day and she wanted to dress for the occasion. Grabbing her tablet, she yelled out a "Showers free! I'm heading to breakfast!" Glancing at her clock, it read 8:05am. Just in time, she thought, as she closed the door behind her she felt a sudden rush of emotion sweep over her. She staggered and braced her hand against the wall, feeling dizzy from the intensity. She couldn't pinpoint where the emotion was coming from, but in the next second in went away and she felt completely normal again. Something's happening somewhere, she thought, returning to normal and walking to the cafeteria.
Grabbing a seat by the window, she ate her usual small morning meal of an apple and gazed out at the sunshine just beginning to rise above the trees.

When she was done, she stepped out and wrapped herself in her cream colored towel. Then, she walked to her room and opened the closet, picking out her outfit for the day. A white pair of short shorts and a lavendar lace tanktop caught her eyes. She shrugged her shoulders and grabbed the clothing, quickly changing into it. After dressing, she slid her tiny feet into black flats and walked over to the mirror. Her hair had dried naturally, and she ran a brush through it, her silky hair falling into it's regular place.
She hung her towel on a hook in her room and made her way out of her room. She noticed her other two roomates had gotten up from the noise she heard and she nodded her head, satisfied. As she walked to the door, she passed the clock on the wall. It read 8:25. Realizing how off schedule she was, she practically ran out of her dorm, grabbing her bag as she did so. The cafeteria was close by, and she was starving. Her stomach growled at the thought of food.

I continued along down the hall until I saw a door. It was old and wooden and looked worn. I felt compelled to go see what was inside so I twisted the brass knob and entered the room. It was the Library.. I'd seen a couple rooms here in the castle and they were boring, dark and fowl smelling... But the Library was beautiful. There was a stained glass window by the wall along with large windows that let the light in. The lights were turned off so you knew that all the light was natural. There were beautiful soft rugs everywhere and there were books that were old and worn with yellow pages and new shiny one with glossy covers. I smiled as I looked around. The Library was deserted. I saw a little alcove window and it looked like a great place to sit. I hopped onto the cushions and opened the window, letting the cool air in. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad. I pulled out my granola bar and began to eat.

Slipping into a black miniskirt and a frilly white blouse, she took a look in the full-length mirror against the wall. Ugh. Slayer rushed into the bathroom, not really desiring to be late for breakfast that morning. She quickly washed her pale face, wishing she could be as toned as some of the other girls. Slayer brushed her teeth and deep-red hair next while glancing back into the bedroom, trying to spot her boots and save time in the long run.
While pulling on her favorite black combat boots with the silver buckles, Slayer's hand slipped and she chipped a fingernail. "Ouch," she whispered harshly. The candle on Hannah's bedside table suddenly lit itself. "Sorry," she said, smiling softly at the quiet girl. Slayer trudged out of the dorm into the hallway, headed for the cafeteria, her stomach gurgling for food.
Oh god.
8:45.
I started to run, and I reached the cafeteria. I bump into a girl. I turn around continuing to run,
"Sorry!" I yell (and I mean it)
I reach the cafeteria, and sit and a table by the buffet. I feel my eyes turn color, then I slowly lift a bowl of fruit salad up off the table along with some orange juice. It floats into my hands, and I start to walk back to my dorm for personal study.

Eyes opened to the loud sight of everybody getting up and ready for another bland day in prisonville. Hannah nodded with a drowsy smile forming in the corners of her mouth, struggling to pull herself from her bed and getting ready to take a wake-up shower. Although...
The girl wanted to inquire Slayer about the time, but the older girl rushing out of the dorm seemed a good enough indication that time was, and always will be, too short for that.
Still drunk on a great amount of sleep, Hannah dressed herself in the only clothes that were at hand; A black hoodie along with navy-blue jeans, a pair of pink sneakers and her favourite hat. Scratching her still sleepy arms, the girl vaguely reached for her tablet and rushed down for the cafeteria. If she was quick, she could, perhaps, still digest a sandwich before the whole place was coming down...

After receiving her food, she sat down at a table by herself and started eating. She watched others enter as she ate, and she wondered about all their abilities. She knew the powers varified tremendously, but she was always curious about who could do what.
She reached into her bag and grabbed her tablet, checking her schedule. Noticing the time, she stood up and put her plate in a dirty dish pan she passed. She hummed as she made her way out of the cafeteria, to the library for her Personal Class Study.

Slayer twisted the knob and opened the door to the extensive library, basking contentedly in the natural light the windows let in. Immediately she was drawn to the grand fireplace in the center of the room on the main level. She concentrated a bit of energy on the log, lighting it and creating a warm glow.
Then as she looked about her wanting to find a book, she noticed the girl sitting quietly at the window and wondered if she had disturbed her by igniting the fireplace. Slayer shrugged to herself and continued on to one of the tall bookshelves to browse.

I slid off the alcove, away from my view and comfy seat. I walked slowly around and pretended to be busy, finding a book when I was studying her. She appeared to be browsing the section. I walked around so I could actually see her... Maybe some conversation wasn't all bad. "Hello... My name is Amelia... Need any help finding a book?" I smiled at her.
Quickly twisting the knob on the door, Hannah entered the room that was decorated with a huge array of shelves, and each shelf carrying an abundance of books ready to be read and learned from.
Silently closing the door behind her, Hannah walked up to the nearest shelf, browsing through the lower shelf for something- Err, specific. She noted the conversation two other teens were having β One of them she recognized as Slayer, though the other girl was slightly hidden around the corner of the bookcase and couldn't quite make out who it was. She waved, though wasn't sure Slayer noticed it and continued her hurried browsing. Pale fingers gently slid alongside an array of books before Hannah reached out for a rather slim-looking book. Obtaining it, the muted girl quickly hurried down the path, settling near one of the desks and eagerly diving into said book.
Finally someone was speaking to her in this place. Slayer had begun to feel lonely. "Actually yes, thanks," Slayer grinned, happy to be able to finally use her voice. "I'm not entirely sure of the system in here. There's just so much to choose from." The echo created by the vastness of the library validated just how big it was.
Slayer heard the door open around the corner, Hannah appearing behind it. She glanced at the young girl from her dorm, who smiled and waved. Naturally, Slayer smiled back.

I grabbed a pink pillow off my bed, and carried it over to the railing. I flipped my legs over the railing of the loft, and stuck the pillow under my feet.
"Now or never." I say.
My eyes change color. I levitate the pillow, then I lift my butt up off the railing and stand on the pillow. I stick my hands out to stable myself. I slowly lower the pillow, and I go with it. I start laughing.
About 5 feet from the ground, I drop. My legs smack the ground like a ragdoll.
"Well, there is a science lesson..." I groan. "Physics..." I give a slight laugh.
You know, maybe I should just study something else right now.

She walked up and down the closet aisles, running her tan fingers along the spines of books. Her fingers kept going until she hit a rather rough book. She stopped and looked at it, pulling it out of its place on the shelf. The book was large and heavy, with what looked like a million pages. Flipping open the cover brown cover, Jordyn could tell it was ancient from the look of the thick pages. The words looked like they were handwritten in perfect cursive.
A small smile formed on her face and she closed the book, a bit of dust flying. The dust caused her to sneeze several times. Unfortunately, when she sneezed she sounded like a mouse. Shaking her head, she took the heavy book with her. As she walked to the back of the library for a vacant table, she passed one of her roomates, Hannah, and smiled a little. "Hi, Hannah."

With a slight yawn, Sanders sat up and swung his legs out of bed. He would skip the shower today; he never cared much about personal hygiene. He slipped off the t-shirt he wore while sleeping and replaced it with a large, brown sweater. After rummaging around, he found a pair of sweatpants and yanked those on over his boxers. Satisfied with his attire, Sanders headed out the door, but not before grabbing his tablet from under his pillow.
He walked down to the cafeteria. Along the way, he found the remains of his alarm clock scattered across the ground. Someone had obviously gotten angry at it. Sanders simply shrugged at the sight and continued on his way. His nose wrinkled when he entered the cafeteria. He didn't like the place. There were too many people there. He quickly finished his breakfast, consisting of a bagel, some cream cheese, and a glass of pink lemonade, then hurried out. He returned to his room to pick up his studying materials, then made his way to the library.
Once in the library, Sanders sat down at his favorite table. It was by a window and offered a great view of the outside. He liked mindlessly gazing out across the hills. Outside was a world where all sorts of people did all sorts of things. Sanders didn't care about that. He just wanted to be alone. And he could be alone here in this school. Sure, there were other kids, but they were more concerned about their own troubles to pay much attention to him. He could do what he wanted (within reason, of course) and no one would bother him about it.
Sanders opened his notebook, turning to a fresh page. A blank canvas. He took out four pencils and brought them to life. They began to sketch a scene of wild horses pounding across the grassy plains. Their manes and tails billowed in their wake. Sanders sighed as he watched the picture come to life. What would he do without pencils? Pens were okay, but they just didn't have the same charm as pencils.
Leaving the pencils to do their work, he picked a random book from a shelf and began to read. Checking his tablet, he confirmed he had plenty of time until his next class. He would read until then and hopefully, no one would disturb him.

Addie entered the library silently, spying Jordyn in the back corner, she walked over to her roommate with a smile on her face. As she spotted Jordyn, that wave of negative emotion from earlier flowed over Addie again, causing her knees to weaken and her tablet to fall to the ground. Addie grabbed a chair for support, and this time used her powers simultaneously to pinpoint the emotions location, but the vibes she was getting were coming from everywhere, bouncing off the walls. Just as suddenly as the emotion had come, it left her, leaving a woozy, hollow feeling inside her. What was that? Addie thought, wondering just what was in store for the students at this academy.

"Time for Art..." I mutter, not even having to check my schedule.
I grab a ponytail off my desk, and tie my hair up. I slip my tablet in my bag and slide down the railing. The follow-up bell rings again, and I start to sprint to the art class, right next to the cafeteria, and see that I'm the first one there. I sign in via my tablet. I take a cord out of my bag and plug one end into the tablet, and the other into a screen off the wall. I double tap "Arts" on my schedule and "Art Class" in bold black letters spread across the screen. Usually the first one who goes to a public class offers up their tablet for the main screen. I do it quite often. When I finish sorting it out, I sit down at my usual table and wait for more people to come.

Amelia then watched as a young boy came in. He looked about 13 and he looked like he was pretty quiet. Visions threatened to appear in her mind, of all the people in the room. Amelia winced at the mind overload and she imagined mentally pushing the thoughts out of her head and it temporarily eased her mind. Amelia watched as the boy sat at the window and she brought her attention back to the girl with red hair. The bell rang and it didn't startle Amelia... She knew it was coming.. One of the perks of Precognition. No surprises. "Oh... I have to go.." Amelia said to the girl.. She'd never even learned her name. "I'll see you around..." Amelia said, leaving without answers. Amelia walked out of the Library and headed to Art Class.
