a character in “Abnormal”, as played by evolutionofshadow

Description

Age: 16
Gender: male
Birthdate: July 3rd
Bio: he is a bright person, very much thanks to the large amount of reading he does, as well as computer savvy, before being taken he was rather into programming.
Personality: a very quiet and introvert person, preferring reading to conversations, though he isn’t completely antisocial.
Power/Ability: invisibility, insentient object invisibility (he can make himself invisible, and objects he channels his energy into)
History: he was born in Sydney Australia, in a quiet suburb. He had a normal childhood, he didn’t have many friends, but that was more down to his introvert nature rather then lack of sociability. At age 9 strange things started happening oto him. Objects would disappear only to return later in the same place. books, comics, he began to realize it was him making them disappear, when he would get excited or shocked whatever he was touching would disappear and he suddenly feel a lot more tired. As he grew so did his stamina and he was able to make larger object invisible and for longer. At age 15 he could make himself completely invisible, including his clothes, for long periods of times without getting tired. He would be able to stay invisible for hours on end. Just when he thought his life couldn’t be any better, it happened. One day he went to bed and didn’t wake up in the same place…
Appearance: he is short for his age and has medium brown hair with a fringe swept to the left, he isn’t well built and rather thin. His clothing preferences are hooded shirts or sweat shirts as well as long pants Image

Blake slowly sat up, he'd been in a half asleep state for the last half hour. Rubbing looked around the other rooms, everyone was asleep. Not unusual at this time in the morning. He moved back slowly to the clothes he set the night out before, a hooded shirt and jeans. He tried to keep as quiet as possible, hoping to leave his fellow dorm mates, they still had about fifteen minutes of sleep left. It wouldn't be fair for him to wake them up. In about five minutes he was dressed and started to walk to the cafeteria.

Blake arrived at the cafeteria and made a b-line for the hot food section. He got two hash browns and a piece of toast, not the healthiest breakfast in the world, but hell he had physical training and individual training later on today, we could it work it off there. The cafeteria was almost empty when he arrived but quickly filled up with people. Some went and left, others lingered and chatted with others. It was rather interesting, you could see a visible difference between those who are socially adept and those who aren't. The ones who would talk with others were happy, and hardly interested in their food, but rather taking nibbles in conversation breaks, as if they realized the reason they are here only when no one is talking to them, or maybe it was just good manners on their part. Those who weren't talking with others would be much more interested in their food, playing with it, trying to savor each bit, or merely scoffing it down. It was an interesting spectacle to say the least. He finished up his food and moved off to the library, today was a good day, half was basically studying and breaks and the other half was training of some description, which wasn't amazing but it allowed him to get his mind off the fact that he was here for the foreseeable future. Ah but he shouldn't be thinking about that, there'll plenty of time for that later.

He entered the library went looking through the library for some books on physics, it would be a smart idea to get ahead in class.

Blake looked at the boy as he entered the room. He seemed to know where he was going, and what he was doing. This is what Blake had doing for a while now, watching as people entered and left, wether they were flustered or determined, it was quite fascinating. This boy however moved off to shelf near edge and started touching the spines of books. Then something intriguing happened, they started moving. Slowly at first, just small vibrations, but within seconds there was a large group of animated and stumbling around. Then they struck, attacking anything near them. Thankfully Blake was on the other side of the room and they weren’t exactly fast. He got up turned himself invisible and jogged outside, making himself visible once again. He waited outside the door, he wasn’t done in there yet, but didn’t feel like getting mobbed by angry books.

Lunch, a great time of day. If you could say anything about this facility was that the food wasn’t bad, or at least by Blake’s standards. Today he had a BLT roll, nothing fancy but it still tasted great. He had spent the past ten minutes eating and now had an 40 minutes to spare. He sat back in his chair, relaxing. This wasn’t so bad, the work was hard and the training harder, but it was moments like this when there simply just nothing you could do, were great, just to sit back in blissful ignorance of your surroundings, it was enjoyable, even in the noise of the cafeteria.

The bell for lunch rang and I stood gazing down at the drawing I had started...it was a picture I was sketching of my hometown. I smiled tucking it away safely and grabbed my stuff leaving for the cafeteria.

I’m not hungry as I had eaten something before but now would be a good time to meet some people right? I walked in and headed for a table where a boy was sitting...Blake right? I thought to myself.

“Hi. I’m Victor,” I say holding out my hand, and smiling brightly at him as i sit down.

“Hi. I’m Victor,”

Blake looked up to see the red haired boy in front of him, hand out.

“Blake” he replied, shaking his hand
He’s seen him before, he has got a distinctive looks, but then again just about everyone does. Never talked to him though, but he was always interested in meeting new people.

“So, how long have you been here for.” He said, icebreakers weren’t exactly his forte.

“Not to long...long enough to miss home though” I said still smiling at him, “how long have you been here for?” I asked, curious. He seams to be nice guy...maybe we could be friends.

***RING!***
Training time.

I pack up my tablet, and wave goodbye to the group of girls. I walk to the nearest bookshelf and take care to place the books in the correct places. I turn around, and begin to walk to the main training area. Walking through the large library, I begin to think. Maybe my group of friends are to young for me. Maybe I'll talk to some of the older people during training, or some people I don't usually often to spend time with, like Amelia. Maybe even Jax, and I heard about this guy named Blake. Hmm, we'll see.

I continue to walk down the large hall. I walk into the large, open training area, colored grey and a few shades of green. I personally think these two don't really match, but that's my opinion. Anyways, I walk over to the large screen on the right wall and offer my tablet up to the group. I plug it into the cord attached to the wall, instead of the portable one I carry with my tablet. Once it's plugged in, I walk to some massive cinderblocks.

I begin to concentrate, like nothing is going on in my life. My eyes feel nonexistant, which is how I know they have changed color. I begin to slowly lift a block, coming up into the air. It feels heavy. Not to heavy though, just right. I pull it backwards, then send it hurdling at the wall. It smashes into tiny bits, then the pieces dissolve into small bits.

Cool.

All tablets and SmartScreens [The screens that the humans from the outside use to communicate with the abnormalities] flash on.

All schedules are now revoked. You may do whatever you like for the next 7 hours, then you are to report for lights off. Dinner will be served at the regular times, and all abnormalities must report to the Main training facility at 10am for an announcement. If you fail to show up, you'll be punished. This is extremely important, and will permanently decide your fate.

Thank you.

And all the screens flash off.
