In the heart of New York City, lies a school unlike any other. For over 50 years, Aurae academy has served as a sanctuary for both humans with exceptional abilities and mythical creatures to hone their skills. Lacking any standard academic classes, the academy focuses mainly on combat techniques as well as other mystical arts and histories. Driving students to improve their abilities through monthly rank wars, competing in their assigned pairs for special rewards and privileges.

Despite the rivalry between students, until now the students have led rather normal lives. Free from the persecution and judgement they would face outside of the school, the school was a refuge for the students. That is until the mythological creatures teacher figured it was a good idea to bring in a dragon for a live demonstration, causing the school to burn to the ground.

Although the staff were originally planning to postpone classes until the school was rebuilt, the headmistress of a local private school, Metim Academy, was insistent that Aurae's thirty students attend classes at Metim until the repairs were finished. Unable to refuse without raising suspicion, the headmaster accepted.

The decision garnered a mixed reaction from Aurae's student body, some fearful others excited. Aurae's students would attend regular classes during the day, while continuing their training in other fields at night.

However, hiding their secrets from the human students of Metim may be harder than it seems. After all, it is home to some of smartest and wealthiest students in the world.

Character Sheet
Rules
ImageImageReserve Characters with all information required on the front page, the passwords, as well as the species for Aurae students and some sort of title for Metim students.
Complete your Character within 48 hours or your role will be reopened unless you request an extension.
I will allow competing for roles but will also add more roles should there be demand.
No Godmodding!
In character fights are great, but please be respectful in the OOC.
Keep swearing to a minimum, unless your character is that type of person, swearing every other word just sounds lousy.
Don't have a character that's the exact same species as another unless they're human, four vampires would get boring fast.
Anime and manga face claims only. For the first password include your hex code.
Keep it PG-13, any explicit content should be taken to PMs.
Feel free to use your own character sheet if you'd like. If you need help with code I'm happy to help. Lunapic is useful for resizing and cropping images if you don't have other software.
I'd like at least 300 words per post, though it's fine if you come up short from time to time. The second password is your favorite fruit.
I randomly assigned symbols to characters for identification purposes, if you don't like yours I'm more than happy to change it.
As a side note, I used the hex code #800000 and the ★ symbol as place holders in the character sheet, feel free to change them to whatever symbol/hex you like.

ImageIt was a beautiful day when the Aurem students said their last goodbye to their school, or what was left of it. As they loaded the last of their remaining possessions into the trucks, many tears fell. Some took solace in the fact that it wouldn’t be forever, in a few months they would be back in their home, but until then they would have to stay at a school far different then the one they knew.

With the last of boxes packed, the students clambered into the three limousines, beginning their procession towards their host school. The ride was mostly silent, the Aurae students tense with anticipation. The ride breezed by, as if it had only take a moment when it really took just under an hour. Just outside New York City, Metim made Aurae look like a dollhouse, easily ten times it's size. With a student body of almost three hundred, thirty more was no issue.

After a moments hesitation, the students stepped out onto their new campus. Promptly greeted by the headmistress and corralled into the dining hall for the welcoming feast. The loud chatter that had been happening between the already seated Metim students ceased immediately. Some of the students we're eager to mingle with the other school, however many clumped together. Not so happy with their current situations.

With a commanding tone, the headmistress of Metim began the feast. "Today two schools come together as one. For the next few months we will no longer be separate, rivals competing for better reputations. No, for now we are family. A team coming together to learn from one another, welcoming the students of Aurae into our home as we would hope the would us." With one fluid motion she whipped her glass of wine into the air. "To new friendships and the future between our two schools." The rest of the students matched her motion, clinking glasses with a few of their neighbors before digging into the extravagant meal.

ImageFor most of the car ride Kirsa had been tense, nose deep in a book that she could barely keep her mind on. She had never liked the vehicles, and it certainly didn't help that she was on her way to a place that would be nothing like the safe place she had spent the last two years. Her leg bobbed up and down uncontrollably, not bothering to stop the fidgeting if she had even notice. Anything that took her mind off of the deathtrap she was currently sitting was more than welcome. The ride felt as if it had dragged on for years to the girl, but soon enough they were pulling up the school's driveway.

Kirsa was the first to dash out of the car, gasping in the fresh air outside as if she were a swimmer who had just come back to the surface after staying underwater for a bit to long. For a moment she forgot to worry about the opinions of the headmistress or the others, however once she had finished relishing the open air, she shrunk back into the clump of students exiting the limousines. As the students were guided through the halls, Kirsa walked alongside her partner.

"What do you think the humans will be like?" She whispered to Karma. They didn't have all too much time to discuss this, as the double doors before them were flung open, exposing the large dining hall within. The hall shone a bright gold, covered in the delicate material throughout the room from picture frames to cutlery. Four of the room's three long tables were already filled with students, all of who had their eyes glued on the new students. The sight made the girl want to shrink back into the crowd and never be seen again.

The headmistress gestured for the students to take a seat, and while a few were called over by Metim students, Kirsa trailed along behind the mass of Aurae students, slipping onto the bench that ran along the empty table. There was already a blanket of things across the table, including a glass of a dark red liquid that looked like wine but had the scent of a sweet juice.

After the headmistress had finished her little speech, Kirsa mirrored the people around her. Lifting up the glass with an enthusiastic, "Cheers!" Who knows, maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all.

The dramatically posh ride towards their temporary home had mysteriously been drowned out by thoughts of curiosity and enticement that, not unlike many others, was filled with doubts that they could play pretend long enough before it became utterly dull and trivial. Gwendoline was among the minority who wasn't wholly uncomfortable mingling with non-supernatural life, humans weren't particularly new to her but the few interactions she's had would prove little worth – and she supposed that they wouldn't welcome the opportunity to be her maze-rats.

As the limousine finally came to a screeching halt (and giving a certain anxious little nixie a mandatory death glare), the witch made her own attempts to saunter towards the crowd that had gathered around, who she presumed was the headmistress, and began marching in unison for Metim's dining hall.

Another moment of silence passed along the arriving guests, the gesture to take a seat only taken notice of when Gwendoline halted her thoughts and followed closely behind the remaining (probably less extrovert) students and opted to seat with them for convenience sake. She was sure there'd be ample time to prod these humans, so there was no call to rush and make friends with them already. In fact, she doubted many of them would match their headmistress' excitement for new blood in their midst...

With the speech coming to an end, Gwendoline took the opportunity to survey the people that were present. Some were as intriguing as she had imagined them to be, others... not so much. When one such student briefly locked eyes with Gwendoline, the witch nonchalantly raised her glass, and nodded once as she lowered her drink and resumed her survey.

"....."
Christopher Columbus wasn't even aware that he had discovered new lands, defending to his dying breath that he had found a shorter route to China. Why deny it man? Wouldn't one be like, totally more famous for finding new lands than some silly old route?

Shintori was sitting quietly, dull, exhausted, and icy blue orbs locked onto the history textbook before him. He had been nearly an hour late to this dinner party, one he would have skipped if a certain someone hadn't caught him in halls as he had to go back to his locker for his textbooks. Curse people and their need to use the restroom. A stifled turn of the page provided just enough noise to completely block out the entrance of the new students. Christopher's complete idiocy and stubbornness drowned out most of the Headmistress's speech, at least until one of the people sitting next to him jabbed him in the ribs to bring him back to reality. Whining and holding his ribs with one hand, he raised his glass with such a lack of enthusiasm that he got another jab. Scowling playfully at the fellow theatrics club member, he scooted away from them and down the bench closer to his dear friend, Haruka. Though at school he called her Abukara-chan. Despite being in America and knowing great English, he couldn't help but hold onto his Japanese roots and will seldom slip up into Japanese. Though surnames and suffixes he purposefully uses, most people think they're pretty cool.

With sore ribs and a loss of concentration, he closed his book and looked up and about him. One table over held the vast majority of the new students, though some of them chose to sit among the other students. He didn't deem new students anything special. After all, they're not any different than them, right? (WRONG.) So to Shintori, the event was a waste of time that he could have been using to study. He had a History, Math, and Social Sciences class to catch up on. Along with probably every other class he had. He let out a slightly defeated sigh, resting his chin into the palm of his hand. Two Aurae students had taken residence on the bench across from him. In fact, as far as he noticed, most if not all of them were in pairs. It struck him as odd, but he recalled hearing that Aurae was a super competitive school, so perhaps it's not all that strange.

Finally, he laid his eyes on the food that stretched out on the table. For the past week or so, Shintori has had no time to eat anything decent. His diet was mostly instant ramen, plain ham, or a packet of some sort of small snack.

"Thank you for the meaaaaaaaal.~" He said to no one in particular as he began to eat, glancing at Haruka to make sure she was digging in as well.

Honestly? During the speech and breakfast with the school merging together like the perfect students they were all suppose to be, Mell was getting ready. Hell she wasnt even out of bed yet and just staring at the wall and nothing at the same time, legs hanging off the bed. Her hair was in every direction along with her sleepwear somehow but her glasses had stayed miraculously in place during her eventful moving last night. She had never been a morning person, because who hates themselves enough to WANT to get up early and be all chipper? Everyone jokes about how Mell isnt actually awake until somewhere at the end of first period, but they arent quite wrong at that since she will fall asleep if not watched. She has proven that alarm clocks will in fact give up after one too many snoozes.

The rare times she gets up and goes to the dining halls usually ends up with some of her schoolmates betting on whether she will go face first into her food. And her being like this is all her fault 100% of the time with her never even TRYING to go to sleep at any appropriate time. Her "bed time" is right before dawn, when everyone else she plays games with online or talks to is also actually going to sleep as well. Last night was a mix of texting Neil about whatever it was and trying her hand at painting again although really horrible landscapes are about the best she can do. The paint always ends up more on her than on the canvas panel. Example being there is a bit of bright pink in her hair and a smudge of teal on her left cheek at this very moment.

The point is, she has no idea whats going on today. She probably wont notice it either, even with all the nice new faces that will be in her second year class. Can you blame her though? Its not like a person is suppose to know every single body in her whole year! Zack might notice, but paying attention to detail isnt her shtick and it isnt about to become a hobby of hers either. The other point is, she is about to be incredibly late. That detail she does notice when she finally sees her clock and promptly flails and falls out of bed with a loud "god damn it!" Detention is not on the to do list today, but it sure looks like she will be crossing it off anyways as she runs out of her room with her school bag. At least she can proudly say that she remembered to change out of her sleepwear into pants and a hoodie, its not like wearing a shirt is important when youve got one right?

Apollo couldn't stop the smile that took over his face as he gazed out the window of the limo. The window was half-down so the window blew through the boys short hair. Apollo was wearing his green headphones, music blaring out and completely blocking the sound of everything else, allowing the boy to become engulfed in his own world of blurry scenery and endless music.

Apollo wasn't gonna lie, he was really looking forward to the time they would spend at Metim. Unlike most of the other supernatural creatures which inhabited Aurea, Apollo was the only one with an age under 100. Apollo has also come from a human school before his guardian, Alec, had taken him to Aurea meaning that he was very used to the usual american high school. He was excited to be surrounded by teenagers his own age, teenagers with similar concerns to himself, things that the students of Aurea, students who have had many years more experience then he, do not concern themselves with.

As the car came to a stop, Apollo pulled his headphones to rest against his neck and looked over to his partner, grabbing his hand and giving it a squeeze. Apollo's excitement was palpable as he dragged Rune of the limo. "Come on Rune! This is going to be awesome. What do you think the Metim students will be like? I think they are going to be really cool. It'll be nice to hang out with people my own age.", Apollo teased as the pair wondered down the hallway towards a dining hall.

Upon entering the room, Apollo made his way and sat himself across from a bunch of Metim students. Directly in front of him, sat a blonde boy who appeared to be reading a book, and next to him was a pretty Brunette girl. Before Apollo had a chance to say a word, the headmistress was already making a speech. Glancing around him, Apollo quickly picked up a glass of red liquid and raised it along with the rest of the students.

Once that was done, Apollo turned his attention to the two students in front of him and offered a them a friend smile. "Hi, my name is Apollo and this is my partner Arune,", he pointed to the handsome gordon sitting next to him. "and we are Aurea students. So what are you reading?", He asked the blonde boy.

Upon seeing the school in all its glory, Zack's first thought was:

Yea Lords, this place is huge.

He'd heard about it from Neil and Mell, of course. But despite having thought of himself as prepared Zack still couldn't quite comprehend what he was seeing. His middle school had been a decently sized public school where everyone ate in the canteen or out in the field, or the classroom if they'd brought their own lunches. The students there weren't exactly millionaire-rich, and thus the mode of transport had been a variety of cars ranging from a sleek Jaguar to a beaten up old motorcycle to taking the bus, or in Zack's case walking the thirty minute route to the school entrance.

Metim High was at least twice the size of his old school and way more fancier. Here, there was actually a dining hall with long tables instead of just rounded tables were everyone could choose to seat. Here, people apparently rode limousines (seriously, who even rode limos to a school?!) on what seemed like a daily basis, if the group of limos entering the school were any judge. Zack gapped at the dining hall decked out in all its glory with what seemed like flabbergasted awe and horror, until someone nudged him playfully on the shoulder and knocked him out of his dumbfounded reverie and said smugly:

"Told you."

"No kidding. What is with this fancy place?! It looks like its been here since WW2." Zack whirled around to face his brother, remembering at the last second to keep his voice down. Resisting the urge to throw his hands up in the air, Zack settled for quirking his eyebrow at Neil instead, crossing his arms as Neil tilted his head with a broad smile that made it pretty obvious that he was enjoying Zack's confusion. "I know there are scholarships and all, but how'd we even get in here again?"

"There's a normal student's program," Neil said promptly. Grinning broadly as Zack rolled his eyes, Neil flung an arm comfortably, if a bit awkwardly around Zack's shoulders and steered him towards the nearest table so that they wouldn't block anyone's way. Zack followed along obediently. "Just because it looks fancy enough to seem like a mansion doesn't mean that only rich kids can enter, you know."

"Yeah, right. What about all those limousines then? And I'm fairly sure I saw a butler back in that car park. The carpark filled with ridiculously expensive ca-"

"Fine fine, quite a few of the students are richer than we could ever hope to be, Mr Grumps." Neil rolled his eyes at Zack's disbelieving look, letting out an exasperated huff. "The limousines were kind of a shocker, yeah, but different schools, Zack! Trust me, there are a lot of normal students here. This isn't a rich people's school like you think it is, you know." As if sensing Zack's discomfort, Neil hugged Zack closer with the arm circled around him, sending a soft smile his way. "I promise, you'll get used to it in no time if you let yourself. I did, after all!" he laughed, waving a hand out as if introducing an audience.

"Faster then you did anyway. Stop hugging me, you're suffocating." Zack drawled, ducking downwards and out of Neil's grip. Despite his gruff tone, there was no real heat to it, and Zack stayed close to Neil even after stepping out of Neil's way, a small shadow against the older boy's side.

Even now, Zack still wasn't good at showing his appreciation straightforwardly. Still, Neil knew what he meant (thank you, don't force yourself, don't worry) and the older brother laughed, slipping his hands into his pocket with a soft, affectionate smile on his face and a light spring to his step.

"Where's Mell?" Zack asked instead, coming to a stop near the wall. "I thought she'd be here too." He narrowed his eyes as a thought crossed his mind. "Is she late?"

"Probably." Neil stifled a large yawn. "Stayed up late last night with her talking about stuff, its probably from that." He shot Zack a wide grin. "I think she's still asleep. I'll send her a text - ah! Gotta go lil bro, its starting soon."

Zack batted at the hand Neil used to ruffle his hair, although there wasn't much effort behind it. "Don't touch the hair!" he said testily, but there was a quirk of a smile threatening to turn it upwards and his eyes were soft as he looked at Neil. "Go catch up with your friends, I'll just stay here and surf the net or something."

"Like it needs any more help in being messed up! And don't surf the net all the time! Make sure to make friends! Bye!"

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Make sure not to fall asleep in class! Bye." As Neil moved out of sight, Zack gave a small grin to himself, feeling slightly more at ease. "Heh."

Grabbing a seat at the very edge of the table, Zack sat down and promptly pulled out his phone, surfing the net and ignoring his surroundings until the Headmistress began the feast.A temporary merging of Aurae and Metim? Guess Neil was right. Zack resisted the urge to ignore the whole speech to pull out his phone and search the net for the school, idly tapping the table instead. Heh, she probably took them in for the money - the whole school must be loaded if they could afford limousines for the kids instead of normal buses.

...Why limos?
Zack frowned as he hit upon a new question. Buses would be faster and less eye-attracting, and less expensive, although everyone would need to group together. What's going on here?

No time to think about that now, though. Filing the thought away for later, Zack lifted his own glass up like everybody else as the headmistress ended her speech, toasting the air sarcastically before digging in. Filling his plate with food, Zack stuffed his mouth with food to avoid conversation, his eyes flickering around to look for familiar faces. All around him, people were talking, and the noise washed over Zack soothingly. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see Neil talking enthusiastically to a couple of other classmates.

Hmm. Mashed potatoes, scrambled eggs, bacon and some toast. Zack took a bite and swallowed.

Well, at least the food is good... But seriously, where is Mell?

With a stretched out huge smile and widened shiny eyes, Haruka was on the edge of her seat. She still couldn't believe Metim was about to temporary merge with an entire school. She couldn't wait to meet the newcomers and get to know them. Perhaps they'd need some time to get used to the new environment and learn which is where.
"They can always ask us for help!" she thought to herself. "Someone is lost, can't find their classroom, but class starts soon? Haruka will be there! Someone is hurt, but doesn't know where the nurse is? Haruka to the rescue!"
She was unaware of the strange and determined faces she made while thinking that.

Haruka went back to reality once the speech started. She listened to it with her whole heart and wiped a tear off her eye. She couldn't agree more. She raised her wine glass with such energy, a drop found its way out and ended up on the table.

"Shin! Don't be so fast! You might choke!" the girl whispered to her partner Shintori, before smiling at him. "I'm so glad you made it for the speech!" she said and affectionately rubbed his upper arm.

Haruka's attention was taken away by Apollo who introduced himself, along with his partner and tried to start a conversation with her and Shintori. She waved at them happily.
"Heeeyyyyy!" Haruka greeted them in a high pitched voice before turning her head towards Shin, waiting for his response about the book.

Haruka was totally into this, wasn't she?
Shintori mildly enjoyed her enthusiasm, drastically different from his disinterest. He scoffed over a mouthful of food at her chiding to slow down. He had to shut up his stomach somehow!

"Hi, my name is Apollo and this is my partner Arune," the stranger pointed to an equally handsome young man sitting next to him as he continued to speak. "And we are Aurea students. So what are you reading?"

"......." Swallowing his food after a moment of staring at the pair in utter awe and surprise, he cleared his throat and wiped his mouth clean. A brilliant, calm smile adorned his face, slightly embarrassed from having had to hesitate from having had food in his mouth. He hesitated for only a moment as Haruka shouted her reply. She was super pumped about this and that made him smile a bit more genuinely. "Ah, nice to you meet you Apollo-san and Arune-san. It's just a History text book-" He tapped the hard cover of the thick text book with his knuckle twice. "It's....Nothing all that interesting. I'm Shintori Marumasa, it's nice to meet you." He leaned back into his seat, patting Haruka on the shoulder. "And this little energetic princess is the lovely and fair Haruka Abukara. She's a friend of mine, I hope you treat her well.~" There was no hint of malice in his tone, but it was meant as a gentle warning. Though whether or not it would be noticed mattered little.

The other man, Apollo, had indicated that the man sitting next to him was his partner. One could take that many ways but Shintori's earlier thoughts on the matter came to mind. "You say partners, huh? So is that normal for you guys? All of the students transfer seem to stick together in pairs." Placing his elbows onto the table top, he interlaced his fingers to rest his chin on top of them. He was kind of interested in how the other school worked. Slightly. It seems to be a research binge coming on. He made a mental note to look up the Aurae Academy later.

Nukpana stared blankly out the window, the hood she pulled over her head to hide herself, fluttering as the wind through an open wind pushed into the limo. She was unsure on how she should feel about this new move. It had been decades since she last interacted with humans in a non-hunting way, and isn't that why she was going to Aurae Academy, so that she could learn to control herself so she could hide more easily in the social world of humans? And now they were just throwing her in? Are they crazy? It'd be like placing a starved wolf in a field of sheep. How on Earth do they expect her to not raise suspicions and commit mass genocide?

Gwedoline.

That's right. Her partner is how they expected her to control herself.

Speaking of the witch, the limo had pulled up and everyone was leaving, gathering in two groups. Of course her partner walked by herself away from the rest of the students. Nukpana wanted to join her partner, for she felt the hunt begin to stir, however she didn't want to get too close to the humans, so instead she contented herself to standing on the outer edge of Aurae group, to keep sight of her partner.

The hall was glowing with the gild, but that was all Nukpana cared to observe as she sneaked a strip of beef from a hidden bag inside her pocket. She was starting to need something to distract herself from the food that started to gather around her....all willingly walking into the abattoir.

No.

Nukpana thought to herself, I can't think like that, I'll lose it, and then...

The Wendigo watched her partner carefully, speeding her pace to sit next to Gwendoline. She hardly wanted to be left alone with others she didn't trust in this atmosphere the headmistress of Metim had ignorantly decided to create. The atmosphere of a feast. Nukpana didn't say a word as she sat next to her partner, only pulled out more strips of beef.

It seemed that a speech had started for the headmaster glared at Nukpana. With a sigh, the Wendigo ungratefully pulled out her earbuds and smoothed her hood down. "No, for now we are family. A team coming together to learn from one another..." the headmistress was saying in the background.

"That's likely." Nukpana whispered to Gwendoline. She didn't move or say another word after that, until she had to raise her glass, but she refused to say "cheers" along with everyone else.

Apollo smiled happily as the girl waved at him before offering up a greeting. She seemed to be a really chipper and friendly person. Apollo could already imagine himself getting on well with the girl over the next few months they were here at Metim. The blonde boy drew his attention as he offered up his own greeting with a pleasant smile. Upon hearing that the book the boy was reading was actually a history text book, Apollo's eyes dulled for a second. Apollo hated school, he was good at it, but he hated it all the same and was slightly worried that the boy was going to start sprouting history facts at him.

However, in the next few seconds, Apollo's fears were gone as the boy continued on to introduce himself as Shintori, and the 'little energetic princess' as Haruka. Apollo smiled happily at the pair, glad to finally have a set of names for the faces before him. The slight warning Shintori had given about Haruka was noted and disregarded. Apollo didn't plan to hurt the sweet girl so the warning was unnecessary, though he could appreciate the sentiment.

Apollo reached over and picked up the girl's hand and placed a kiss upon it, offering her a teasing smile when he looked back up to meet her eyes. "It is a pleasure to meet you Haruka-Hime.", he offered jokingly before turning his attention to Shintori and releasing Haruka's hand, "It is also a pleasure to meet you Shintori.".

After greeting the pair, Apollo momentarily turned his attention towards the food that had been placed on the table before him and began to start placing food on his plate while listening to Shintori. "You say partners, huh? So is that normal for you guys? All of the students transfer seem to stick together in pairs.", glancing up momentarily to meet the boys curious gaze, Apollo turned his attention back to his food.

"Ah well, because Aurea is such a small school, the teachers tend to pair us up so they can garentee that we at least have one friend... At least I think that's why they do it. Pretty weird huh?", He hated talking about Aurae because it always felt like he was lying, and he didn't like lying, especially to these nice people. He would of prefered in Rune had jumped in right about now, but it seemed the boy had withdrawn into himself and was content to listen to the conversation that was going on then actually engage with it himself.

While his partner, Apollo, seemed ever so excited about their moving over to this new school, Arunaida was far from it. It wasn’t like the demi-gorgon could do anything about it either though, as Apollon seemed to be too engulfed in his own world- he could even hear the beats that were blaring through the boy’s headphones. It was a wonder that his partner didn’t go deaf at all. Though, perhaps that was a wrong assumption, as the boy did like to space out and ignore plenty of things as if he had lost his hearing. Aruna had a completely unimpressed look to his own face, practically glaring out of his own window in a calm sort of manner. He was lost to his own angered thoughts during their drive. Metim was not his place to be in- it was unnatural and a complete sham. The amount of actual writing he would have to do already had his hands cramping, hands that were now clutched into annoyed fists.

How long had it been that they were driving? 120 years under his belt and this seemed like an eternity; he could only imagine the horrors of actually attending the school itself. Why was Apollo so excited about this? Well, that was a stupid question, he was always excited about things, it was something that Rune loved about him, but not in this case. Not when it came to having to compact himself into something that he was not- to play by rules he was never destined to be apt under in the first place. How could Aurae possibly expect someone like him- him and many others like him- to play by Metim’s rules? It would be hell on earth, that was for certain.

The limo pulled to a stop in front of a rather massive, ornate-looking building. Rune hardly got the time to actually look at it when he felt a hand suddenly snaking into his own and squeezing, flesh against flesh. It was Apollo; perhaps this wouldn’t entirely be hell. Arunaida smirked at the young boy, enjoying the excitement that shown on his face, even if he himself didn’t agree with it at all. Aruna suddenly found himself being tugged at by the smaller male, and he allowed himself to be dragged from the confines of the limo, the other chatting excitedly.

”What do you think the Metim students will be like? I think they are going to be really cool.” Arunaida quirked an eyebrow at his partner, an amused look to his face at the expense of how excited Apollon seemed to be. It was dropped in the next instance, however, when Rune shifted his gaze from the music lover back up to the building of Metim Academy. ”Boring as hell.” He responded dryly, watching as the rest of the Aurae students pooled out from the limousines to group together. Meanwhile, Rune didn’t move an inch, simply remaining lackluster beside his partner. However, at Apollo’s next comment, a playful frown quirked the corners of his lips down.

”It'll be nice to hang out with people my own age."

At this, a dramatically hurt expression filled Aruna’s face as he suddenly leaned forward, draping his arm over Apollo’s shoulder and diagonally across his torso, pulling the boy close to him with this grip. As Apollon’s back came to bump against Rune’s chest, a seamless smirk replaced all play from his face, and an interested expression prowled eagerly within his eyes, ”Mm, what’s this? Are you trying to tell me you’ve tired of me already? Am I too old for you?” A teasing smirk danced across his lips as he whispered this to Apollo. However, it seemed as almost as soon as they had touched, they were parted once more, Arunaida’s hands tucked into the pockets of his slacks and the gorgon following after the group of other Aurae students into the large building.

They walked down ornate hallways- visions of grandeur, nothing more he was certain. A ploy of wealth rather than history. Arunaida was liking this place less and less by the second. The human world could be so exasperating, and not even Apollo’s bright and cheery mood could lessen the effect of such. How were the others finding this place to be as well, he wondered? He could only imagine how many of them would be stifled, agitated, just as he was.

It seemed that they were funneled into a rather large dining hall, where, joy oh joy, there all the mortals were. Swiveling in their seats and staring, talking in hushed voices amongst themselves about the strangers who had just invaded upon their lives. Arunaida wasn’t happy about it either. He was just about to make a move to sit in the empty table far from the masses of humans where many of his kind were aggregating, when Apollon decided to swerve in the direct opposite direction. Aruna would have no choice but to follow after him- he cared far more for him than the others of Aurae, and certainly more than his lack of excitement over the Metim students. It really shouldn’t have been a surprise to him that Apollo would do exactly this, but Arunaida had been hoping against hope that maybe he wouldn’t want to go sit with so many others. Mingling was far too friendly for Aruna’s personality type, too welcoming when all he wanted to do was shun and estrange all others. But he was an obedient puppy when it came to Apollo- he’d go with him wherever he went, to the ends of the earth for all that it mattered to Rune. His attachment to this soul was still so strange a concept to him- he was a loner, after all. It only made Apollon’s appeal all the greater.

So, as Apollo settled in among other Metim students, Arunaida getting stared at and eyeballed as though he were a caged animal at the zoo, he made room for himself beside his partner without a sound. Arunaida was fairly uninterested in the people around him than the grand walls and architecture of the structure they were in. However, at the sound of a voice louder than the incessant waves of chatter around him, his focus was taken by the headmistress as she presented her speech. It sounded hollow to his ears. Rather than encouraging words, he heard only falsities and pride. They were not rivals by any stretch of the means- Aurae far exceeded that of Metim. No, they would never be family, no learning would be acquired of Aurae students by Metim- it was their job, after all, to keep themselves a secret. Arunaida almost laughed when he heard the headmistress speak of a flipped scenario, where Metim would be in Aurae. Oh what a surprise they would be faced with should that ever happen. The woman hastily brandished her glass of wine into the air to begin cheers, a welcoming of mead to form a friendship between two clans, and spoke of friendships and futures between the two schools. If Arunaida had anything to do with it, he, and many others beside him, would do their best to ensure that a ‘future’ between the schools would never occur. It was necessary for their survival, for peace.

Arunaida saw many, including his partner, raise their glasses to toast this sentiment. He did not. Nothing about this situation was sentimental, nothing about it was pleasant. It marked only the beginning of a mass solitude for him- he would not be allowed to be his self for the majority of the day. However, Aruna’s dark musings were broken when he heard the voice of his partner introducing them to two students that sat across the table from them. Rune tilted his gaze towards them, eyeing them over subtly and analyzing them. Third years. That was acceptable.

Rune made no move nor motion when Apollo pointed to him- no smiles, but no ill intent either. Just a blank expression with those entrapping eyes of his. He hadn’t touched his food nor his drink; to be honest, he really wasn’t hungry. He almost interjected when Apollo introduced him by a nickname, but found himself to be too unconcerned to do so, really. However, he did nearly wince at the loud, boisterous greeting they received from the female. He didn’t know if he liked her yet or not. Not that he had to. He didn’t want to be making any enemies either. She seemed nice enough, if not a little naïve. She’d be too easily taken advantage of by so many students, he noted. However, as the blonde spoke up, he turned his gaze from the girl to him. He greeted them with honorifics, which Rune had to admit that he was appreciative for. He introduced himself as Shintori, soon placing a hand on the girl beside him in a gesture that Aruna could only interpret as protective- after all, he did the same with Apollo. The boy’s words confirmed this thought when he spoke of her as his princess, a warning that would be hard for any creature of his lineage to miss made, which only amused him. An easy, cool grin of his own now shown- they were alike, and that was good. It would make getting along easier, especially since Haruka and Shin were of his year and he would no doubt be seeing much of them.

Apollo greeted the two of them, playfully taking Haruka’s hand to place a kiss upon it. Arunaida wasn’t too bothered by the display- Apollo was just being himself, after all. Aruna soon found Shintori’s gaze focused on him as the Metim kid asked about the Aurae’s rather obvious pairings. He shifted his own gaze from Apollo and Haruka to meet the blonde’s eyes, about to answer him when Apollo beat him to the punch, not that Rune minded. He sat back as his partner spoke then, looking over at the girl once more in a curious manner. She was a third year, but didn’t seem it- she was too young, or rather seemed to be since she was so energetic and blunt. At least that was what he had gathered so far. Hopefully she just wasn’t childish, that’d put a damper on things.

As Apollon gave a shaky explanation on how things worked, Arunaida simply leaned forward then on his elbows, looking straight at the two students across from him once more. ”You’ll find that many of us have somewhat… abrasive personalities, so it’s common to find polar opposites in these partnerships. It’s supposed to help round each student, or so they say. You wouldn’t think that it would work, but you’d be wickedly surprised.” The demi-gorgon offered up, strengthening Apollo’s suggestion without technically lying. He knew it would settle Apollo, since he knew that the boy hated to be something that he was not- that was something the two had in common, though in different shades. Apollo was true to his personality, while Rune preferred to be true to his inhuman side.

He still had not touched his food or drink. He shifted his arms so that he was propping his chin up by an elbow, a neutral though interested look to his features. ”So you two are third years as well, yeah?”

In the midst of chatter and want to make friends, Gwendoline sat idly by; watching students clomp together like some amalgamated clique she'd heard so much about. It was perhaps a bit alien to think that this grouping together didn't exactly feel right, although the witch had to admit that she'd been participating in a similar instinct when she decided to sit with people familiar to her – and vice verse.

Her cerulean gaze fell briefly on her partner, responding to the wendigo's remark with a somewhat disquieting smirk. She could tell Nukpana was somewhat anxious about having to share space with her, quote unquote, dinner. The witch could only guess at to what was going through her head at this sight of... well, meatbags.

And then she pondered for a moment, a slim finger gently tapping her chin as she thought of what to say before tapping her partner in the shoulder. “Doing alright there, dearie?” Gwendoline whispered, trying her best to flash a genuine smile (and probably failing miserably at it). “Why not try that counting trick I told you about? Might help you calm down a tad.”

Or, y'know, there was magic. Then again Gwendoline wasn't keen to make these ones privy to potential supernatural practices. Wouldn't end well. “Or you could bite my hand off. I've got other ones.” She gently pressed her hand on Nukpana's shoulder in an attempt to comfort the girl, her smirk turning into something of a concerned smile before reverting to its default, blank expression.

karma had his head prompt' up against the limo window, staring out while thinking about how his new life in Metim would be like praying for cute girls, good guys, and stupid teachers. He was in deep thought about Metim, seeing it more like a vacation than an actual changing of schools. While in thought he caught a quick glance of his partner squirming about on what she probably thought was a large metal death trap.

Karma could not help but smile as his thoughts were interrupted by the limousines screeching to a halt. They were finally here, after what felt like hours. As karma tried to get out of the limo, and see the place he would call home for the next few months, but before he could exit Kirsa shot out of the limo like a bullet, and proceeded to suck air into her lungs like she had been deprived of oxygen the entire ride. a smirk spread across karma's face as he just remembered her relationship with machines and decided to wait until she was done. Then started to walk towards the front double doors of Metim and then realized it was a lot bigger than Aurae at least ten times it's size. As Karma walk towards the building with the rest of the Aurae students, Kirsa decided to ask him a question, "What do you think the humans will be like?" She whispered to Karma, as they were walking to the doors of Metim academy responding to her her question. karma said with a mischievous smile on his face "in my experience humans have always been fun to play with so to answer your question i think they will be interesting" He said this just as the double doors to Metim swung open revealing a large hall, with tables covered in food and surrounded by students of both Metim Aurae. Karma decided to sit down next to his partner for the time being, while a women on the other side of the room started to make a big speech. karma immediately blocked it out and started to dig in to the food in front of him when the woman was finally done with her speech, he leaned back on the bench stuffed with only have taken a couple bites, and staring at Apollo and his partner talking with some Metim students and Nukpana attempting not eat anyone.

karma just decided to watch what was going in front of him not wanting to bring too much attention to himself (yet, so when he starts his pranks he won't be the first suspect.) and relax to get settled.

"Let's just hope one of these meat pies don't push their luck," Nukpana said, filling her plate with any meat she could find that was being served. She noticed, how could she not, the stares she was getting from the humans, or 'meat pies' as she often referred to them, but let it slide passed. She was focusing so much on trying to not kill anyone at the moment that anything else was barely even on her radar of things to care about.

Nukpana, as she aggressively ate the mound of food on her plate, did take in her surroundings a bit more. With her hunger distracted for the moment she was able to hold a clear head long enough to stare down the other students and get an assessment of them. She noticed that Apollon and Arunaida were sitting with the other students and seeming rather friendly, or at least Apollon was. He chatted, happy as ever with the blonde male and doe-eyed female humans across from him, she gathered that Arunaida was just playing along with his over friendly partner. Her eyes focused a male with spiky, dark hair that seemed as disarranged with everything as she was, though with a far less ravenous hunger.

For the most part these students seemed as comfortable and distracted by their environment as as the prey of prey. They hardly even considered what lurked among them on this day.

"See any fascinating specimens?" Nukpana asked her partner. Now that she had food in her stomach she could at least pass for a little while as a somewhat normal conversationalist, though she still would appreciate a distraction.

Mell stood outside of the parking lot as she gave a loud yawn, attempting to scratch her head with her helmet on, and looked over at the scool still too tired to really care about the time and her almost being late. She rubbed an eye through the window with the end of her suit sleeve, thankfully the nice woman who lived next door to her had caught sight of her topless and turned her around to "put something on for Lord's sake!" Mells strides were slow, walking up the school steps after propping her motorcycle in its spot, helmet still tight on her head while she practically dragged her bag behind.

She could tell by the clamoring and the absence of student bodies that at least she hadnt quite missed breakfast juust yet and her body was awake to tell her that she BETTER go and eat something or she will be hearing about it all day. With a sigh that fogged up her helmets window she zombie walked her way to the banquet hall. Since the occurrence of her being late is nothing new, very few would have looked at the small creak of one of the doors opening and her appearing from them. Mells steps were very sure as she walked to her seat, or what was pretty much her seat since she was always at the same one, without needing to open her eyes.

When Mell got to the table she yawn again before holding a hand up to lightly ruffle Zacks hair, something she would do til she died whether he liked it or not. With a drop of her bag under the table she plopped down on her seat although it caused her to nearly sit in another persons lap before she actually made it to where she was trying to be. Facing the table she finally could eat something and her hand went to go for food, or it appeared that way, but instead scooted thing out of the area. This being a practiced art to her now she didnt even have to open her eyes once and soon her helmeted head had thumped on the table while she let out a loud groan. Her voice was muffled as she hoarsely complained "Why is the sun still alive?"

Erim was tired. Truthfully, this was nothing new. The boy was constantly groggy, and, not to mention lethargic. Physical Education hated the Incubus just as much as aforementioned creature hated it. Even so, the promise of decent food in his belly was extremely tempting and, above all, arduous. The Nikaido's purple haired partner was most frustrating to deal with in the morning, what with the gaggle of screaming fangirls parading around the respective duo like an ''All You Can Eat'' meat buffet. August was meat; dead meat.

Things were different now that the full time supernatural creatures and part time students of Aurem Academy had merged with the infamously boring Metim. Though the blond had nothing against the educators or their corresponding mundane pupils, he couldn't help but secretly loathe the very fact that their temporary school was full of ''ignorant mortals.'' Being, well, immortal was as easy as breathing air whilst in or simply near Aurem. It was challenging to give up such lenience, even if it was short-term. Not to mention, the mere thought of that damned Akiyama gaining even more admirers had the shorter positively gagging.

Resting a particular sleepy head on its possessor's palm, Erim yawned quietly, honey coloured hues watering ever-so-slightly all the while. The musician had been waiting for his topical pea-brained companion to actually show up to his own partial ''welcome party.'' Nukpana and Gwendoline who'd, fortunately, sat across from the ebbed tiny male appeared just as unperturbed as the latter when it came to the rather grueling ceremony. Nonetheless, the breakfast presented to the...otherworldly bunch was edible; enough to leave Erim licking sharp canines in distinct satisfaction.

The obviously habitual and familiar chattering of students across the notably vast ''dining hall'' (seriously, why not just call it a cafeteria? that's not nearly as pretentious as the dubbed latter title) was nice and obnoxious in the foreigner's ears. That in mind, Nikaido couldn't help the small tug of something like a fond smile pull at the corners of plush flesh. The elder was so painfully melancholy he could almost taste it on himself.

''I hope everyone is prepared for when that brat arrives...''

Fashionably late without an acceptable excuse is usually how it works with the dubbed troublesome siren. This time, it happened to be the fact that he absolutely loathed even the thought of being in the presence of countless prey; even if it did result in a nice snack. The ride to the pretentiously stunning school known as Metim was much too long to be deemed interesting; although, August did gain a bit of a laugh from a particular doe-eyed third year's evident nerves, and the glossy limousine made him feel ‒ quite appreciatively ‒ like royalty. The male had taken it upon himself to slither away from the monstrous mob as soon as they had flooded out of the vehicle, only to wander aimlessly around the school's exterior until his legs began to ache and his mind resort back to forestated classmates. Akiyama's thoughts flooded with How is Eri-chan doing?; has Nukpana eaten the entire crowd yet?; do they have chocolate chip pancakes?; has Nukpana eaten those, too? Needless to say, the mere curiosity finally lured the rather uncharacteristically spacious teen to so-called "dining hall," where a mix of familiar and questionable faces had already begun relishing in the sweet smelling nourishment and chatting with the other strange adolescents that surrounded them.

"Yoohoo, guess who~" Akiyama sang quite cheerfully, cold fingers shielding his succubus friend's golden irises, his own violet ones scrunched up by the large smile playing at his lips. The predator had preached many times that he could, most definitely, spot his proclaimed partner in a crowd within seconds—and he's proven it, too, just like now. He'd identified him almost immediately, nonchalantly striding up to said male. It was arguably impossible to fully sneak up on the elder, however, since the excited feminine whispers of a "cute candy coloured boy" is an inescapable giveaway, especially for the Nikaido.

Seating himself next to the demon without even giving him a proper chance to respond, August beamed confidently, sharp pupils peeking through the slits of his eyelids at his companion, chin resting upon folded knuckles. It was kind of creepy, the way he leered; but that's just how they were. August was the creepy one. He embraced it.

"That's right, you don't have to answer — or give me that evil stare of yours, you brute — I know that you know that we both know it's none other than the love of your life." grinning comfortably, the younger creature takes a pleasured sip of his wine as he scans the presented table; although, the tips of plush lips curl downwards into an unsatisfied frown as soon as it hits him. "Je n’en crois pas mes yeux! There were no chocolate chip pancakes after all... or, perhaps, did Nukpana really eat them all...?!"

Ah, there Mell was. Zack spotted her as she shuffled her way through the hall towards the table, moving like a caffeine addict in search of coffee. She was late! Ugh, he knew he should have called her in the morning, but he'd figured that even Mell wouldn't be late for the first day of the school year. Apparently, he'd been wrong. Idiotic gaming addicts who have no sense of time... He looked up as Mell made her way slowly to his table, giving her a frown. "You're late." He stated in place of a greeting, placing his fork down. Then he scowled as she ruffled his hair, reaching a half-resigned hand up to bat her hand away from his hair. It left before he could do much more than flap uselessly at it, and Zack scowled harder at Mell, a faint red tinting his cheeks.

"Don't touch the hair!" He snapped as Mell took her seat, half-resigned but still opting to say it anyway. She'd been ruffling his hair ever since he'd first met her, there was no way she'd stop now. Zack shifted to the side, eyebrows furrowing together as he examined her. "... You didn't eat breakfast, did you?" It was more a statement than a question.

Was she trying to make him shorter or something?! Zack didn't need to be any shorter than he already was, thank you very much. Patting someone on the head with enough pressure and they'd shrink from the force, wouldn't they?! It was an old folk myth, yes, but despite Zack's disbelief of fairy tales he didn't see the need to prove it true. Stupid tall giant trying to make me stay a shrimp, that ass.

Although, not that he would ever admit it (Never! Not until he was lying rotting in his grave), it had felt good, like the way a person scratched a dog on the head or cats over their ears. But not the point!

"Why is the sun still alive?"

"To torment idiots who didn't know when to stop playing and sleep." Zack said tartly. He scowled as he stood up to take second helpings, dumping more toast and bacon on his plate. As an afterthought, he grabbed a bowl and filled it with cereal and milk. "But really it's just a star that's really bright, so it can't choose to just fade away. If it does we die. Now eat." He stated, slamming the plate down inches away from her resting head. The bowl was slammed with much less vigour, causing the milk inside to slosh but not spill. "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day," he lectured Mell, sounding a lot like a mother repeating a lesson for her kids to learn. "Miss it and you're like a coffee addict without coffee. There's egg and toast but there's also cereal. Which one are you taking?"

"C'est dommage, mais je ne mange pas tes pancakes. Unless there was meat in them," Nukpana answered, pinching up some scrambled eggs on her plate and throwing it at the siren across the table. It seemed as through Gwendoline was spacing out, or observing the humans intensely; either way there wouldn't be much conversation out of her for a while. Not that Nukpana was much of a conversationalist herself, but with her hunger momentarily deferred, all that she needed now to distract herself was indeed conversation.

And all she had to talk to was the siren and incubus sitting across from her. Fantastic.

It had taken her quite a while to build up to the point she was at with Gwendoline in conversation making, but with everyone else she was starting back at square one. The stage of, 'what the fuck do I say?'

"Who wants to make a bet on when I crack and commit mass genocide here?" Nukpana asked the pair in a tone that sounded almost defeated. In some respects she was, defeated at trying to figure out a "good topic" to talk about. Being one of the few first years, she did often get picked on by certain students in higher levels about her hunger and anger. These were also really the only things known about her to everyone except Gwendoline as well. Nukpana also knew very little about everyone else, so what else was there to talk about? She was certain bets had already been established about this topic when the announcement was first made about them holing up here for a while, so why couldn't she join in? After all she had rather low expectations of herself on how long she could last.

Speaking of which, she looked around the room at all the chattering meat pies and took a few more fork-filled bites of what she had shoveled onto her plate and thankfully this school was well stocked in their food.

Despite the frivolous siren entering the room, enacting another one of his dramatic plays as was a typical way to meet this flamboyant thing, Gwendoline had paid little mind to the duo that had seated opposite of her and the wendigo. Probably for the better it seemed, since their conversation had little to add either way, not that the witch's spontaneous 'eye-catching' was easy to topple.

Calmly she turned her head towards the only pair who hadn't taken skepticism to heart (Apollon's doing, surely) and had taken up the early opportunity to mingle with the lesser beings.

“They're getting along quite nicely, aren't they?” Gwendoline commented as absent-mindedly as she always did; Her gaze fixed on the young muse as she recalled that his age was around what these human children would be. Probably felt a kinship with them of some sort.

The witch made a mental note to ask the kid about it at more appropriate time, before returning to the conversation (what little there was) on her end of the table and flashing the incubus and siren a somewhat unnerving smile. “Nevermind Wendy. She's a bit groggy today, I think.” The witch silently chastised Nukpana for eating so much.

“I do wonder, what do you two think of this little...” She paused for a moment, thinking. “Let's call it a temporary union, shall we?” The witch's blank gaze fell upon the other duo, her expression unjustly representing her genuine expectancy of Erim and August's opinion.

Food was disappearing, not only around Nukpana, but on every table. The headmaster was talking to the headmistress of Metim, a heavy conversation. Nukpana's attention zeroed in on them as she nibble one of the last pieces of bacon. She didn't like the expression on the headmaster's face. It seemed stressed as he wildly was explaining something the headmistress lady.

"Odd," Nukpana whispered to herself, "They're arguing." I wonder if headmaster will dismember here? she added in her thoughts. The headmaster, as far as Nukpana had seen him, was always very cool headed. Out of everyone in the school he could easily live among the humans without detection, and rumors have it that he had. Not to say he didn't have a temper, but it wasn't one that peeked without severe consequences.

She continued to watch, snipping off pieces of meat with her teeth, her eyes never blinking, and her entire body completely still. She was on high alert, anticipating and hoping for the blood bath of the century.

Only it didn't come to that. The headmaster drew a breath in and stood up, clinging his cup, the headmistress looking rather pleased with herself.

"May I have your attention!" the headmaster said and the room fell immediately silent, faster than with the other woman because no matter what she tried she would never hold that dangerous air that their dear headmaster carried with him. "The headmistress...and I...have been talking and come to the conclusion that to better integrate our students from Aurae into this school of yours we will pair up some students from Metim to a couple of the students from Aurae. You will find your pairings with your school schedule and you will share your home room with your partner."

"As a Metim student," the headmistress interrupted suddenly standing up, "It is your duty to educate your Aurae partner about our rules, help them discover the grounds, answer any questions they may have, and above all befriend these new students to make them feel more welcome and at ease in this new and strange environment. You will be able to pick up your semester's schedule at the tables right outside the doors. Classes won't start until tomorrow, allowing all new students to find their classes and get settled in. Now hop to it!" She clapped her hands with a small bounce.

"When I lose it, she's the first to go," Nukpana said to those around her. She followed behind Gwendoline as they went to get their schedules. The witch was always more comfortable with new things, while Nukpana stayed stationed in forests decades. She much preferred to be Gwendoline's shadow, watching everything carefully and tactfully. They made it to the table with not a lot of crowds, it seemed that the Aurae students just wanted to get in and get out and their overbearing, scary presence helped them cut through the crowds.

An overly cheery girl with a bow in her hair, handed Nukpana her schedule. "Welcome to Metim, Wendy," the girl chirped.

Nukpana glowered to Gwendoline at the name, she was the only one who ever called her that or knew of that name so it was obviously Gwendoline who fed that name to the school on her behalf. She then looked at her schedule; classes, classes, lunch, classes, and then at there was a name. Zack Kassel.

"What's this name mean," Nukpana demanded of the cheery girl. With some pleasure Nukpana could see the girl started to sweat.

"That's the n-name of the Metim-m student that wi-will be showing you ar-round," the girl stuttered still smiling as best she could. Nukpana grabbed Gwendoline's arm with a force that could break bones and shoved the paper in front of her partner's face.

It wasn't as though Erim necessarily hated humans; in fact, they weren't as awful as the latter's kind besmirched and demonized to be. The blond had no qualms with anyone, really ( well, excluding the purple haired, self-proclaimed ''Erim-octopus!'' ). Even so, the elder wasn't exactly..skilled in the art of socialization. Growing up with a spiffy mother that sipped curdled blood like it burned going down - not to mention a rather loathsomely perverted father who sat on a throne of his own bones - was, well, nonnative. The short creature's mother had been, understandably, shunned by her entire bloodline the moment she set her ''seductive hues'' on the likes of the Nikaido's father. Living in a world so spiteful made the incubus incredibly numb to mortals in their entirety.

Nonetheless, Erim can't help the tiny sigh push past plush lips at the mere thought of being carted around by some scrawny child who payed more attention to the male latter's notably sharp canines than the task at hand. Really, though; have those seemingly scarred kids truly seen it all? Nukpana's dentist was probably someone - and or something akin to a dental deity. Hopefully they didn't have meaty, bite-sized fingers.

The headmaster of Aurae was a force to be reckoned with; Hell, the man scared inconsolable creatures of the night. The fact that aforementioned authority had formed an alliance with the headmistress of such a normally prestigious school was extremely ironic; enough to make the Nikaido chuckle under his breath. Even so, the male wasn't that disrespectful, especially when it came to the illusive deliverance her ; their students were to endure.

''Eri-chan? I'm too afraid to go up there by myself!! What if I get another barbarian for a partner?!'' the shrill, infamous whine practically ringing in the topical honey irised male's eardrum was enough to render anybody deaf, even the speaker themself. That said, the Nikaido can't help the sharp pang of brooding concern bubble up in his chest, sharp hues trained on chattering Aurea and Metim alike. Really, what was headmaster thinking, letting such reclusive immortals practically eat out of a plethora weak-willed mammal's hands? With the way things were headed, it would either result in mass bloodbath, or much worse. ''Do I even have a choice?''

After headache-inducing overdramatized navigating through the never-ending sea of students, the male duo had finally made it to their set destination. Truthfully, the composer was quite fond of his purple haired companion ( something he would never admit aloud, thank you very much ), and the fact that he could very well be handed off to some warrior-wannabee was enough to make his stomach flip ever-so slightly. The incubus truly hoped their directors were capable of handing such an unorthodox situation.

Spit like sand in his throat, Erim swallowed heavy, light hues trained on the schedule neatly presented to him. The girl waving stated paper around obnoxiously had nails long enough to poke the older adolescent's eyeballs out in one go, digits coated in shimmery turquoise polish. The stuttering, however, made her sound like a squirrel. Was she human? Nonetheless, the Nikaido all but exhales extremely unconfidently, retinas darting waveringly at the cursive script actually mocking him.

''Mellifera Ula?''

Mell sat up at Zacks mention of food and she grabbed for the eggs and toast, searching the table for any bacon and taking a handful to add to her plate. She was STARVING, not like she doesnt eat but free food is free food to her and anyone should have their fill when it comes to it. Sadly the food started leaving as she was about to dig in and she had to hide her plate in her lap, glaring around through her helmet at anyone. She leaned her head in her hand and pretended to listen to the headmistress talking about whatever it was. She missed the earlier announcement and it wasnt like she was awake enough for this one either.

Mell had no idea what it was about speeches that got their principal off, but she loved to hear herself talk quite a bit. New students were mentioned but there were new students were coming in all the time, thats nothing new. The whole no school thing got her attention and did a little fist pump in the air. She didnt mind school but she felt like a zombie already and classes would just make her even worse through out the day. When everyone was dismissed she turned to Zack "Im pretty sure thisll be the first plate of the semester Ive stolen." She damn near had a collection by now just from last year, maybe she should look into the silverware and cups next.

After things started to die down she pulled her long legs out of the table, rubbing Zacks head again with her free hand, and to get her schedule. It was pretty boring for her with two gym classes, two sciences, an AP class in math and in English, and the worst ever..... German. Ugh German was the worst subject ever, not only does her accent make it difficult to say anything correctly but Mell cant pick up any ind of language to save her life. Shes horrible at it, first week she even was able somehow able to insult the teacher. Mell still isnt sure what she said but it did get her suspended so.

Well it could be worse, she could have have to sit through Geometry again or something. So she went back to her locker, its key in her hand to so she could store her bag there for tomorrow. Leaning against them afterwards she went at her plate, after she took her helmet off finally. Its kinda stuffy in that stupid law required, hella comfy thing. The groans of her happy eating could probably be heard down the empty hall.

At the prospect of being assigned a human buddy, Gwendoline had to ponder for a moment about the possible ramifications of such a program. It felt somewhat offhanded and, dare she say, thoughtless (especially if their headmaster was concerned) to group inferior beings with those who clearly hadn't the slightest fondness for them. On the other hand, it did open up other possibilities, ones that the witch certainly hadn't overlooked before coming to the conclusion that this was a bold plan.

“I presume we can't object?” Eyes fell on the wendigo, before the duo stood up to get their schedule; a quiet and uneventful journey to say the least.

And as they received their schedule, Gwendoline barely got the time to review her soon-to-be subject as her partner yanked the witch by her arm (rather painfully) and flung the piece of paper in front of her. “You'll be nice, you hear?” The witch spoke, mentally processing the name before prying Nukpana's hand from her arm and glancing over her own schedule.

'August'

At the sight of her future companion's name, Gwendoline couldn't help but raise a single, disbelieving eyebrow. “Odd...” The witch gave another look before handing it to Nukpana. “You think they made a mistake?”

Re: Absconditus

Rather busy at the mo, I'll see if I can get a post up tomorrow. You guys can post without me first tho :D

Re: Absconditus

Might see if I can get a post up tomorrow. I've got a day off from uni, so plenty of time to waste away. Heh.

Anyway, I'm guessing Gwen's left with August, then? Fun...

Re: Absconditus

I've went along with your idea regarding the headmaster. As well, I've replied ^__^!

Re: Absconditus

Ok so then I think Groups 1 then?

I posted!! I hope this will help move the rp forward and as a thought (I didn't put it into the post because I wanted to check with you all) but I was thinking of having the headmaster be a bugbear (with maybe a special trinket to give him more of a human form) "A bugbear is a legendary creature or type of hobgoblin comparable to the bogeyman (or bugaboo or babau), and other creatures of folklore, all of which were historically used in some cultures to frighten disobedient children." I think it would be good to have a creature that scares disobedient children as a headmaster XD

Anyway, post away!!

Re: Absconditus

That's fine, should make for some jolly interaction.

Re: Absconditus

I do like that idea, personally! I have no problem with Erim's possible partners. I think either of them are great candidates and I'm looking forward to seeing where it takes us. As well, Fredalice, do you mind posting just to get everything moving? I would recommend seeing what everyone else thinks about potential partnership, but if you don't mind, I have no qualms :).

Re: Absconditus

Ok right now it looks like we definitely have six people we will make pairing up really easy.

Some possible pair-ups could be (and maybe vote for the version you like the best or come up with your own?):
Groups 1
1) Nukpana and Zack (since they're both first years)
2) Mell and Erim (or August to mix up the pairings from Aurae)
3) Gwendoline and August (or Erim)

Groups 2
1)Nukpana and Gwendoline
2)Erim and Aurae
3) Mell and Zack (to keep the parings what they were)

(if you have some other ideas on pairings that you think would make the story more interesting let me know! These are just the suggestions that I've come up with after all)

Re: Absconditus

Ky-lin's still in! Me too!

Re: Absconditus

OK so I think I'm going to make a list (for my own sake really) on who is still in and who isn't if that's okay with you all, I'm pulling from those we've heard back from and how recently people have made a post in the OOC. I'll be coming back and editing this post when we hear more from the others. If I've missed something or we hear back from another person just let me know so I can edit this!

Re: Absconditus

I do like the matching off thing! I was honestly waiting to post just to see if that was going to happen. If that's an option you guys would like to visit, I think our best bet would be actually organizing who goes with who? The whole human vs nonhuman concept would definitely help with character + plot development.

I'd also like to add that I know diejyushi will do their best to contribute as well. Not that it really matters or anything, but I know them personally, and I do my best to update them on the OOC forum!

Re: Absconditus

Well and I could maybe post again to move the plot forward, do that matching off thing we talked about, so that Zack can have Nukpana to interact with in the next post. We can also say that the school's wanted more to pair people off by year (instead of human to monster if a) we don't have equal human:monster ration and b) if people don't want to create NPC's to help balance things out) It might even be interesting that the school's fuck up the pairing system so that some are now paired with a human character and the others are maybe paired with the "wrong" monster. I also think that we should (and yes this is contradicting what I just earlier) get a feel for who is still around and willing to partake. We don't have to have just one person do it, but maybe message you "partner" and report back if they are still in or not? Just to kind of let those know who are still maybe wanting to write, but haven't checked the ooc that it isn't in fact dead and to start checking this thread again.

Re: Absconditus

It doesn't so much depend on the GM since they're MIA it seems (for a reason, I'm sure), and more on whether or not many people are still dedicated enough to keep this going. It seems the majority hasn't been around for a while now, and with the GM in control of accepting/approving characters we won't be seeing much of that unless already accepted roleplayers start making NPCs and all that.

As for my two cents on all this, whatever happens... well, happens. To be fair, I'm not so indifferent as to say fuck this, and would be happy to help keep this up and running for as long as people want.

Re: Absconditus

I think that depends on Doctor, to be honest. She's the one in charge of allowing which characters to join.

Personally I've got no problems keeping it going, still waiting for Ky or somebody else to post lol. I could add Zack's brother Neil as a PC of sorts, I guess, but tbh I've currently taken up too many characters to play him for long. Still up for anything tho!

Re: Absconditus

I'm so sorry for my lack of communication / contribution ! I'm finally off for the summer, and I've found more time to actually sit down and write. I'm still here, though!! I'll continue to use Erim for as long as the rp stays active. That in mind, please bear with me! If you'd like for him to be in any sort of situation alongside other characters, don't hesitate to express your ideas.

As well, I actually have no problem with anything we do to keep the plot going. It seems as though the introduction has lasted two months, which is honestly more than enough, yaknow? So I definitely do agree that the actual development should begin in order to really keep this alive! As for the inactive members, is there any way we can add in some characters (specifically and or preferably human) to add more diversity and such? I think it would be interesting, but it's also quite the boatload.

Re: Absconditus

OK so would maybe the people who are still here want to continue posting? We can maybe keep updates on who's still here or not as we go along because I fear that if we continue to wait for those who haven't posted yet that this rp will die

Re: Absconditus

I noticed that as well, it looks like Mell and Zack are the only humans if I gathered that right. If no one else is going to answer from our little group, maybe we go ahead and "start classes". The humans who are there could be nominated to show the group around, show the city, and things like that. Guides or something and if there are any third years still hanging around we could say that their classes are pushed together with second years or something, no enough room or crap like that. I dont know, something to keep this thing going for the few.

Probably message people before hand though if theyre still going to post. I was mainly waiting for someone that Mell and Zack are sitting with to post but...

Re: Absconditus

I'm surprised she hasn't decked someone in the face already if I'm honest. You'd think all these lovely dinner-on-legs would've gotten Nukpana to show a bit of fang, at least.

Incidentally I've posted, albeit a rusty one. I dunno, but I don't think there's much that Gwendoline can do at this stage besides, y'know, awkward conversation.

With that said, how's everyone doing? Fine, I hope? Couldn't help but notice that some people haven't really done any posting anywhere on this here roleplay. Kind of curious about that, actually.

Re: Absconditus

You have more faith in Nukpana than I do! XD

Re: Absconditus

Thanks! Zack's kind of hilarious to me - he's like 'you're a wiener which also means hotdog now go eat you asshole" haha. I find characters who care but are really, really grudging about it funny and interesting.

Also I place a bet for around two weeks after they attend school for Nukpana to eat someone. Probably Zack - as the first year showing her around he's got the highest chance of discovering the masquerade. Or other people, maybe a third year bully or something. Maybe Shin; he seems the kind to look around to find out what's going on if I'm any guess? I dunno.

*places money on table*

Re: Absconditus

Of course, Fredalice. Those two are quite the characters, after all! I'd like to see how their relationship with August turns out... ww.
