August Akiyama is a deceitful, foul creature. Frame standing tall at 5'7", his shape is rather idol-ish, complimented by curves in all the right places. With a narrow, albeit gentle eye shape and a pearly smile to go, he's able to lure in his victims quite easily. He keeps an innocent, "cute" demeanor around his classmates and acquaintances ― including the one he holds dearest ― two-faced thoughts taking up more of his mind than positive ones. The male uses a signature poster-girl smile and an alluring, smooth figure for pure seduction and reputation. You could blame it on his nature, or the simple fact that he betrays "mindless beings" for amusement.

Shifting from place to place is something Akiyama has grown painfully accustomed to. He has never stayed somewhere too long ― that is, until he set his sights on America. Said Country―well kept, though nothing compared to the many others he's resided in―is overall beautiful, as well as the citizens within it. His mother, when alive, had spent plenty of her life there, which is what finally interested the adolescent. She had attended the same school he enrolled himself in, and was quite well-known within the school walls for her "kill count." Wanting to keep up the reputation of his family name, he began to ― hesitantly ― attend Aurae; however, he allows himself to be seen as the kind, endearing figure that he's not.

Through this, August had met a peculiar little demon, who seemed all mid-classtime rooftop escapes and a fast-paced piano performance more than anything, if he were to put it into words. His true nature contradicts that of his race, and that's what the purple-headed male finds so captivating. Akiyama wants to learn more about Erim, and in return ― little by little, i might add ― he allows aforementioned "sex-fiend" to learn about the latter. In other words, Nikaido knows far more about the siren than anyone. They're close, in terms of endearment. The duo bicker, mostly due to August's taunting behavior towards the other, and opposing incubus' stubbornness; but, the illusive teen is able to look at his companion with absolute fondness.

To put it simply, Akiyama could tell his friend that he loves him, that he holds him close, that he truly does cherish him, and it would be the first truth he's told in years.

So begins...

Erim was tired. Truthfully, this was nothing new. The boy was constantly groggy, and, not to mention lethargic. Physical Education hated the Incubus just as much as aforementioned creature hated it. Even so, the promise of decent food in his belly was extremely tempting and, above all, arduous. The Nikaido's purple haired partner was most frustrating to deal with in the morning, what with the gaggle of screaming fangirls parading around the respective duo like an ''All You Can Eat'' meat buffet. August was meat; dead meat.

Things were different now that the full time supernatural creatures and part time students of Aurem Academy had merged with the infamously boring Metim. Though the blond had nothing against the educators or their corresponding mundane pupils, he couldn't help but secretly loathe the very fact that their temporary school was full of ''ignorant mortals.'' Being, well, immortal was as easy as breathing air whilst in or simply near Aurem. It was challenging to give up such lenience, even if it was short-term. Not to mention, the mere thought of that damned Akiyama gaining even more admirers had the shorter positively gagging.

Resting a particular sleepy head on its possessor's palm, Erim yawned quietly, honey coloured hues watering ever-so-slightly all the while. The musician had been waiting for his topical pea-brained companion to actually show up to his own partial ''welcome party.'' Nukpana and Gwendoline who'd, fortunately, sat across from the ebbed tiny male appeared just as unperturbed as the latter when it came to the rather grueling ceremony. Nonetheless, the breakfast presented to the...otherworldly bunch was edible; enough to leave Erim licking sharp canines in distinct satisfaction.

The obviously habitual and familiar chattering of students across the notably vast ''dining hall'' (seriously, why not just call it a cafeteria? that's not nearly as pretentious as the dubbed latter title) was nice and obnoxious in the foreigner's ears. That in mind, Nikaido couldn't help the small tug of something like a fond smile pull at the corners of plush flesh. The elder was so painfully melancholy he could almost taste it on himself.

''I hope everyone is prepared for when that brat arrives...''

Fashionably late without an acceptable excuse is usually how it works with the dubbed troublesome siren. This time, it happened to be the fact that he absolutely loathed even the thought of being in the presence of countless prey; even if it did result in a nice snack. The ride to the pretentiously stunning school known as Metim was much too long to be deemed interesting; although, August did gain a bit of a laugh from a particular doe-eyed third year's evident nerves, and the glossy limousine made him feel ‒ quite appreciatively ‒ like royalty. The male had taken it upon himself to slither away from the monstrous mob as soon as they had flooded out of the vehicle, only to wander aimlessly around the school's exterior until his legs began to ache and his mind resort back to forestated classmates. Akiyama's thoughts flooded with How is Eri-chan doing?; has Nukpana eaten the entire crowd yet?; do they have chocolate chip pancakes?; has Nukpana eaten those, too? Needless to say, the mere curiosity finally lured the rather uncharacteristically spacious teen to so-called "dining hall," where a mix of familiar and questionable faces had already begun relishing in the sweet smelling nourishment and chatting with the other strange adolescents that surrounded them.

"Yoohoo, guess who~" Akiyama sang quite cheerfully, cold fingers shielding his succubus friend's golden irises, his own violet ones scrunched up by the large smile playing at his lips. The predator had preached many times that he could, most definitely, spot his proclaimed partner in a crowd within seconds—and he's proven it, too, just like now. He'd identified him almost immediately, nonchalantly striding up to said male. It was arguably impossible to fully sneak up on the elder, however, since the excited feminine whispers of a "cute candy coloured boy" is an inescapable giveaway, especially for the Nikaido.

Seating himself next to the demon without even giving him a proper chance to respond, August beamed confidently, sharp pupils peeking through the slits of his eyelids at his companion, chin resting upon folded knuckles. It was kind of creepy, the way he leered; but that's just how they were. August was the creepy one. He embraced it.

"That's right, you don't have to answer — or give me that evil stare of yours, you brute — I know that you know that we both know it's none other than the love of your life." grinning comfortably, the younger creature takes a pleasured sip of his wine as he scans the presented table; although, the tips of plush lips curl downwards into an unsatisfied frown as soon as it hits him. "Je n’en crois pas mes yeux! There were no chocolate chip pancakes after all... or, perhaps, did Nukpana really eat them all...?!"

"C'est dommage, mais je ne mange pas tes pancakes. Unless there was meat in them," Nukpana answered, pinching up some scrambled eggs on her plate and throwing it at the siren across the table. It seemed as through Gwendoline was spacing out, or observing the humans intensely; either way there wouldn't be much conversation out of her for a while. Not that Nukpana was much of a conversationalist herself, but with her hunger momentarily deferred, all that she needed now to distract herself was indeed conversation.

And all she had to talk to was the siren and incubus sitting across from her. Fantastic.

It had taken her quite a while to build up to the point she was at with Gwendoline in conversation making, but with everyone else she was starting back at square one. The stage of, 'what the fuck do I say?'

"Who wants to make a bet on when I crack and commit mass genocide here?" Nukpana asked the pair in a tone that sounded almost defeated. In some respects she was, defeated at trying to figure out a "good topic" to talk about. Being one of the few first years, she did often get picked on by certain students in higher levels about her hunger and anger. These were also really the only things known about her to everyone except Gwendoline as well. Nukpana also knew very little about everyone else, so what else was there to talk about? She was certain bets had already been established about this topic when the announcement was first made about them holing up here for a while, so why couldn't she join in? After all she had rather low expectations of herself on how long she could last.

Speaking of which, she looked around the room at all the chattering meat pies and took a few more fork-filled bites of what she had shoveled onto her plate and thankfully this school was well stocked in their food.

Despite the frivolous siren entering the room, enacting another one of his dramatic plays as was a typical way to meet this flamboyant thing, Gwendoline had paid little mind to the duo that had seated opposite of her and the wendigo. Probably for the better it seemed, since their conversation had little to add either way, not that the witch's spontaneous 'eye-catching' was easy to topple.

Calmly she turned her head towards the only pair who hadn't taken skepticism to heart (Apollon's doing, surely) and had taken up the early opportunity to mingle with the lesser beings.

“They're getting along quite nicely, aren't they?” Gwendoline commented as absent-mindedly as she always did; Her gaze fixed on the young muse as she recalled that his age was around what these human children would be. Probably felt a kinship with them of some sort.

The witch made a mental note to ask the kid about it at more appropriate time, before returning to the conversation (what little there was) on her end of the table and flashing the incubus and siren a somewhat unnerving smile. “Nevermind Wendy. She's a bit groggy today, I think.” The witch silently chastised Nukpana for eating so much.

“I do wonder, what do you two think of this little...” She paused for a moment, thinking. “Let's call it a temporary union, shall we?” The witch's blank gaze fell upon the other duo, her expression unjustly representing her genuine expectancy of Erim and August's opinion.

Food was disappearing, not only around Nukpana, but on every table. The headmaster was talking to the headmistress of Metim, a heavy conversation. Nukpana's attention zeroed in on them as she nibble one of the last pieces of bacon. She didn't like the expression on the headmaster's face. It seemed stressed as he wildly was explaining something the headmistress lady.

"Odd," Nukpana whispered to herself, "They're arguing." I wonder if headmaster will dismember here? she added in her thoughts. The headmaster, as far as Nukpana had seen him, was always very cool headed. Out of everyone in the school he could easily live among the humans without detection, and rumors have it that he had. Not to say he didn't have a temper, but it wasn't one that peeked without severe consequences.

She continued to watch, snipping off pieces of meat with her teeth, her eyes never blinking, and her entire body completely still. She was on high alert, anticipating and hoping for the blood bath of the century.

Only it didn't come to that. The headmaster drew a breath in and stood up, clinging his cup, the headmistress looking rather pleased with herself.

"May I have your attention!" the headmaster said and the room fell immediately silent, faster than with the other woman because no matter what she tried she would never hold that dangerous air that their dear headmaster carried with him. "The headmistress...and I...have been talking and come to the conclusion that to better integrate our students from Aurae into this school of yours we will pair up some students from Metim to a couple of the students from Aurae. You will find your pairings with your school schedule and you will share your home room with your partner."

"As a Metim student," the headmistress interrupted suddenly standing up, "It is your duty to educate your Aurae partner about our rules, help them discover the grounds, answer any questions they may have, and above all befriend these new students to make them feel more welcome and at ease in this new and strange environment. You will be able to pick up your semester's schedule at the tables right outside the doors. Classes won't start until tomorrow, allowing all new students to find their classes and get settled in. Now hop to it!" She clapped her hands with a small bounce.

"When I lose it, she's the first to go," Nukpana said to those around her. She followed behind Gwendoline as they went to get their schedules. The witch was always more comfortable with new things, while Nukpana stayed stationed in forests decades. She much preferred to be Gwendoline's shadow, watching everything carefully and tactfully. They made it to the table with not a lot of crowds, it seemed that the Aurae students just wanted to get in and get out and their overbearing, scary presence helped them cut through the crowds.

An overly cheery girl with a bow in her hair, handed Nukpana her schedule. "Welcome to Metim, Wendy," the girl chirped.

Nukpana glowered to Gwendoline at the name, she was the only one who ever called her that or knew of that name so it was obviously Gwendoline who fed that name to the school on her behalf. She then looked at her schedule; classes, classes, lunch, classes, and then at there was a name. Zack Kassel.

"What's this name mean," Nukpana demanded of the cheery girl. With some pleasure Nukpana could see the girl started to sweat.

"That's the n-name of the Metim-m student that wi-will be showing you ar-round," the girl stuttered still smiling as best she could. Nukpana grabbed Gwendoline's arm with a force that could break bones and shoved the paper in front of her partner's face.

It wasn't as though Erim necessarily hated humans; in fact, they weren't as awful as the latter's kind besmirched and demonized to be. The blond had no qualms with anyone, really ( well, excluding the purple haired, self-proclaimed ''Erim-octopus!'' ). Even so, the elder wasn't exactly..skilled in the art of socialization. Growing up with a spiffy mother that sipped curdled blood like it burned going down - not to mention a rather loathsomely perverted father who sat on a throne of his own bones - was, well, nonnative. The short creature's mother had been, understandably, shunned by her entire bloodline the moment she set her ''seductive hues'' on the likes of the Nikaido's father. Living in a world so spiteful made the incubus incredibly numb to mortals in their entirety.

Nonetheless, Erim can't help the tiny sigh push past plush lips at the mere thought of being carted around by some scrawny child who payed more attention to the male latter's notably sharp canines than the task at hand. Really, though; have those seemingly scarred kids truly seen it all? Nukpana's dentist was probably someone - and or something akin to a dental deity. Hopefully they didn't have meaty, bite-sized fingers.

The headmaster of Aurae was a force to be reckoned with; Hell, the man scared inconsolable creatures of the night. The fact that aforementioned authority had formed an alliance with the headmistress of such a normally prestigious school was extremely ironic; enough to make the Nikaido chuckle under his breath. Even so, the male wasn't that disrespectful, especially when it came to the illusive deliverance her ; their students were to endure.

''Eri-chan? I'm too afraid to go up there by myself!! What if I get another barbarian for a partner?!'' the shrill, infamous whine practically ringing in the topical honey irised male's eardrum was enough to render anybody deaf, even the speaker themself. That said, the Nikaido can't help the sharp pang of brooding concern bubble up in his chest, sharp hues trained on chattering Aurea and Metim alike. Really, what was headmaster thinking, letting such reclusive immortals practically eat out of a plethora weak-willed mammal's hands? With the way things were headed, it would either result in mass bloodbath, or much worse. ''Do I even have a choice?''

After headache-inducing overdramatized navigating through the never-ending sea of students, the male duo had finally made it to their set destination. Truthfully, the composer was quite fond of his purple haired companion ( something he would never admit aloud, thank you very much ), and the fact that he could very well be handed off to some warrior-wannabee was enough to make his stomach flip ever-so slightly. The incubus truly hoped their directors were capable of handing such an unorthodox situation.

Spit like sand in his throat, Erim swallowed heavy, light hues trained on the schedule neatly presented to him. The girl waving stated paper around obnoxiously had nails long enough to poke the older adolescent's eyeballs out in one go, digits coated in shimmery turquoise polish. The stuttering, however, made her sound like a squirrel. Was she human? Nonetheless, the Nikaido all but exhales extremely unconfidently, retinas darting waveringly at the cursive script actually mocking him.

''Mellifera Ula?''
